[KERNEL-KK-4.4.2][51xx]SphereKat-Rev5.4[DICONTINUED] - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Android Development

Info & Thanks
What you need to know before you use this kernel.
This kernel got Selinux Permissive state as it supports more apps like TiTaniumbackup.
Reverting back to a Selinux enforced Kernel (stock) is no longer a problem from Rev3.0 and up.
You can set Selinux Status with the included Synapse app
You want to know why this kernel comes with Selinux included, google for Selinux and search your answers.
AllCast mirror will not work as this is a Samsung thing and not opensource.
If this is a problem for you, don't use this kernel.
DISCONTINUED , A NEW THREAD WILL BE OPENED FOR THE NEW KERNEL SUPPORTING ONLY THE KITKAT BOOTLOADER.
NO JELLYBEAN BOOLTOADER SUPPORT, IT IS TIME TO MOVE FORWARD.
INSTALLATION
Take a full nandroid backup.
NO NEED TO BE ON ANY KITKAT BOOTLOADER (your wifi will work with this kernel)
YOU NEED TO BE ON A KITKAT TOUCHWIZ ROM.
Install with cwm
Thanks:
sidmoraes for pointing me to other kernel source that I could use as base, still had to change some stuff but this is better then waiting for samsung to release there source, if they ever will. (Finally Samsung released source)
Andreilux - Faux123 - Yank555.lu for kernel work
ZaneZam for the zzmoove governor

S-pen alignment is fixed in the kernel and rom so you need both to have 100% accuracy.
This kernel will fix it for 95%. The other 5% is in the roms framework.
#########################################################
Note to all users:
Don't be a lurker, hit thanks as it took plenty of hours to build this.
Samsung didn't release the kernel source (not yet) so a lot of debugging was needed to fix problems like the sensors not reporting correctly.
This is the only thing I ask, hit thanks if this helps you.
It is free and enjoy it.
#########################################
Edit:
About the lurkers,
Martin from this post isn't one as he is a donator and thanks hitter.
A example to you all.
I wanted that cleared out as I didn't want Martin to take that lurker thing personal.

Flashed and while it seems to be working fine for the most part, my CPU is constantly maxed out for some reason. I changed no settings or anything, and it was idling fine before flashing. I'm sure it might be something with my device, but I thought I'd put it out there just in case it's not. I'm going to mess around with some settings, see what I can do, and see if it changes.

Like you said, it could be something with your device, mine goes into deep sleep and it has gone as high as 90% deep sleep. Pretty amazing I would say and great job by @civato. Are you on pegasusq governor?

I was indeed using pegasusq. After trying multiple different governors and nothing changing (even stayed at 1600mhz on powersaving), I've decided to wipe my device entirely and start from scratch. No biggie. If I narrow it down to a specific app or device setting that was causing it, I'll post it so people are aware.

09/Jun/2014 First Public release Rev2.2
[*]Memory Leak fix cpu stats
[*]Memory Leak fix Kernel Ext4 & Power
zzmoove profile nr6.
I recommend not to use Powersave governor as is very buggy. Next release will it have removed as it useless.
Best governors are Pegasusq - Adaptive and zzmoove.

I am running it an am happy to report no issues. The only changes I made were to up my top cpu speed to 1.8gzh. All govs are at default. Thanks again. Can't wait to see what is next in the works for this tablet.

This kernel is maded for my custom roms like CM10.2 and Mokee OS and (cooming PACMAN ) and add optimization for proper use on these roms.
Hey this thread open because several users were asking me a zip with the kernel, so I decided that would upload, the kernel for those who wish to try.
And u can try this kernel on Other roms
Tested on
OFICIAL PA 3.99
OFICIAL Cyanogenmod 10.2
and more
Features:
For android 4.3
CPU and GPU overclock
proper undervolt
Support for LZ0 and lz4 compression
Gobernators: Gaming,lulzactie,PegasusQ interactive default
I/O schedulers: deadline , v(R) ,sio, CFQ,noop optimizatios
Kexec hard boot support
better battery consumption
F2FS support
ext4 support
And more...
F2FS info
F2FS is a Filesystem so we have to Format our memory in this mode. How can we do this? We need a moded Recovery LIKE TWRP or CWM
So you need format all system , so you need backup all data, music, movies etc
How to install TWRP only extract my zip and execute script
chmod +x fastboot.sh
./fastboot.sh
Enter in the recovery TWRP
make a format data
MODDED RECOVERY:
TWRP-Multirom-F2FS suppor
[/list]
NOTE: If you change data partition to F2FS only use kernel with F2FS support, backups of TWRP normal not work on F2FS because TWRP use EXT 4, you need a moded TWRP like my version or Legolas version.
Backups of TWRP F2FS not work on TWRP normal, I made 2 versions of kernel for data EXT 4 and data format on F2FS
to restore F2Fs to Ext 4 only need flash normally TWRP and make a format Data.

from OP. "Kexec hard boot support"
Hi, testing this since yesterday and i can say all seems smoother (even at 1100). It's early to see how the battery is going with this, but if there isn't a noticiable battery drain... this will be my default kernel for cm.
Thanks.
BR.
Made me lose root on latest Rasbean. Reflashing latest SuperSU v1.51 did not fix it. Nonetheless, will test this kernel for a few days.

thnks , any issue please report
ive been using this kernel ever since the mokee rom and this update for kernel came out.its the best ive used so far. wondering though if its causing carbon rom to not charge?? on the mokee it runs perfect.
Same here, lost root on rasbean, and on cleanrom. Then it is no easy way to get root back, switch kernel doesnt help for me at least. I need to have root where I live, so only quick test, but kernel makes the system very fast and responsive.

Introduction
First of all I want to say this that is one project which just started and gradually we will improve it. In this community there are very good developers and we are not traying to compete with them. This is just a hobby and we do it because we like Android. This kernel is only for N7100 and we don't have plans to make it compatible with other versions of Galaxy Note II. We hope that you will not only download the kernel but also you will sent your comment with pros and cons and you should respect our efforts.
Don't be scared by the nightly denomination of the kernel, I'm just taking the traditional naming scheme where nightly designates feature development

Balance between performance and battery
I'm using Synapse (highly recommended)
Read ahead buffer: 1024
IO scheduler: row or zen
Frequency Lock: ON
CPU min freq: 200MHz
CPU max freq: 1600MHz for battery / 1800-1920MHz for performance
CPU governor: Lulzactiveq for both
CPU voltage: -50uV or -100uV (Be careful!! If you low voltages much you can get boot loop or battery drain.)
CPU idle Mode: AFTR+LPA
TCP: westwood for both
Dynamic FSYNC: ON

Go to play store and Reinstall affected app again and do a reboot, done. Don't mess/uninstall anything.
OR
If you have titanium backup just restore specific affected app from it.and reboot your device
Thanks to @optimusPRIME
7.When i listen to music, and turn off the display, the phone uses only 1core of the CPU, and so the music is hanging for a 10th of a second or so in every 10-15 seconds. Probably because the load is too high for 1 CPU. Is this also happening to you guys ? Is there a good way to avoid this? I use the pegasusq governor. maybe i need to use a different one ?
Click to collapse
Yes, sometimes pegasusq can cause this.
Switch your governor to either lukzactiveq or Zzmove to have good battery and no skipping music along with smooth performance.
I'll give the reason as to why this happens - Pegasusq is a governor designed to handle multicore systems only and it does an efficient job at the smoothness and battery life with those. But the problem is that it isn't designed to optimize and ramp up the single core systems properly so it tries to push the remaining core into deep sleep, which causes occasional stutter in many background tasks like music. Now for that you'll need a governor which can handle multicore and single core systems at the same time and efficiently, while many governors can do the job, but none is as smooth and optimized as pegasusq in a multicore system. Ondemand is suggested by many for the skipping music problem, but the problem with ondemand is that it was made for single to dual core systems only and this leads to lag and slower ramping of frequencies in a multicore system, but provides a battery life comparable to pegasusq.
While all of this might cause confusion for which governor to choose, lukzactiveq is optimized for more battery but smoothness at same time, and ramps up sliwer but preserves battery life when screen is on; while Zzmove ramps quickly and gives a more snappy experience, the battery life a a bit less.
So choose what you want and enjoy @KNIGHT97 thanks for the detailed explanation.
8. What is touch wake? or My Touch wake is not working?
Click to collapse
It's a feature which will allow you to wake your device when it gets locked after screen timeout.
Try this unlock your device wait for it to auto lock not just tap on display and your device will wakeup no need to push the unlock key.
9. Video Camera stops recording?

Fix is: flash your desire rom...take a pic with your camera and a video...then reboot in recovery mode and install nadia kernel.
Thanks to @klurosu
10. How can I change cpu voltage with trickster mod???
Click to collapse
Open trickster mod go to 4th screen. There you will find section mpu voltages. There you can change it. @mohit141785
11. By default the restriction settings in power saving mode are On even If the mode is Off.Remove CPU restriction and you will get normal work of the rom and better score.
Click to collapse
Also try with different governors and I/O schedulers. Increase the SD cache to 1024 or 2048 (more than that has no effect and is wasted) and then try, it can sometimes give higher score in the storage I/O, which increases the total score too @KNIGHT97 thanks for the detailed explanation.
12. From where can I remove int.d script?
Click to collapse
Go to /system/etc/init.d using any root based file manager and delete.
Note: There is an important one related to superSU and if you remove it by mistake you're gonna have trouble with root permissions. @KNIGHT97
13. My device doesn't show any reaction to undervolting (battery life is same as before) or gets unstable even on light undervolting?
Click to collapse
Use Wanam Xposed and turn off DVFS or user DVFS Module(standalone) (dynamic voltage and frequency scaling), this feature was kept in touchwiz for benchmark boosting purposes and will confkict with any undervolting and custom governors because it scales the voltages and frequency on regular intervals and is framework integrated, so gets a higher priority than kernel based voltage and scaling controls.
For people who don't know what is DVFS please refer Wikipedia.
check @mattiadj thread for more details. @wanam @mattiadj @KNIGHT97
14. Can I use some performance scripts?
Click to collapse
Yes, you can check @mat9v thread
15. Why is set on boot doesn't stick even though I have set it?
Click to collapse
First make sure you have set on boot and set on boot notification enabled. If after a reboot you see this notification
Then set on boot was run.
16. Settings don't stick?
Click to collapse
You might have scripts, other apps, or ROM settings override Synapse settings. In this case Set on boot delay might help if it's for settings at boot otherwise you need to track down and disable the app/ROM settings
17. If settings do not stick then the 2 most likely problems are
Click to collapse
A1: If you're using chainsdd's superuser switch to koush's superuser or SuperSU.
A2: Make sure you are not using another tweaking app or your ROM has setting that overrides our boot configuration. In that case, “Set-On-Boot delay” feature might help.
Otherwise or if you still have problem, see below
A3: If your frequency settings don’t stick, it's because on certain Qualcomm or JB and higher devices, there are certain system services (thermald/mpdecision/project butter) or kernel service that rewrite frequency settings based on current thermal status and/or touch input. Certain custom kernels for your device should include work around for these issues. Unfortunately, it can't be fixed from app side.
A4: DON'T use a reboot app, they effectively force reboot your phone like a system crashes. If you really have to use it, then do it after the apply grace period or disable grace period by setting it to 0.
A5: You might have scripts, other apps, or ROM settings override Trickster MOD settings. In this case Set on boot delay might help.
A6: Don't force close the app (e.g. in Android Settings). It puts the app in a state that it can't start at boot until user starts the app normally again.
A7: Don't use app like Greenifier to greenify Trickster MOD. Doing so will prevent it to run at boot to apply Set-On-Boot.
A8: The Android BOOT_COMPLETED broadcast might be borked because of theme, mods, or after a few dirty flash. In this case reinstall ROM with a data wipe is needed. This solution is confirmed by our users and as this issue is because of deteriorating ROM with ORD, nothing we can do about it on our side.
A9: If it still doesn't work, please do in in app bug report using the option in the app menu right after Set on boot was run. You can enable Set on boot notification to know that.

Thanks. Custom kernels are one of the few reasons I'm still using my Note2.
By the way is it possible to implement the mdnie controls from Perseus or devil kernel ?

###Disclaimer###
Your warranty is now void.
We are not responsible if your phone will be damaged, broken, bootlooping or detonating in a thermonuclear reaction.
YOU are choosing to make these modifications and accept the fact that something might go wrong.
Important / read before flash mandatory
This is the first stable SimplKernel build which is 5.1.1 based and unified. It only supports 5.1.1 and the listed variants. No other variants.
For W8: Seems that you can run 5.1.1, but no new bootloader. If you run 5.1.1 and this and have fingerprint on your Rom, the second boot won't work anymore and you'll need Odin. A Rom with removed Fingerprint may solve it, but I don't have a W8 and can't test or say for sure. Best is to wait for the new bootloader alltogether.
For all other variants: This should work on L/S/K, if/when they receive 5.1.1, but someone will need to confirm by flashing.
Same counts for I.
If you run 5.1.1 without the new bootloader, you will encounter the same issue described above for the W8. Same counts: Better wait for the new Bootloader.
Introduction
SimplKernel is developed by SimplTeam. We originate from the Note4 and have a long story of success there. Our builds are known for being close to stock, yet full of useful features and enhancements. The aim is to provide maximum performance and maximum batterylife. No compromises.

- A backup is always recommended
- Flash the zip file
- You're done! Reboot and enjoy.
Via Flashify
- Make sure that you are rooted.
- Download the zip and extract the boot.img
- Download the free app Flashify (Caution: Free Version only allows 3 flashes per day!)
- Grant Flashify Root permissions.
- In main screen, select Boot image and navigate to the previously extracted boot.img

If you apply Interactive or simplgov in Synapse, ALWAYS enable it for both clusters. Enabling it for only one will cause funny effects, perhaps even a solid chaos, batterydrain and other unpleasant things. You've been warned.

Nice! will test it on my w8! im on XtreStoLite 2.0 Odex without Fingerprint since my bootloader is still 5.0.2
Edit : confirmed second boot working without fingerprint on the rom!
working great on my 925F edge, with 5.1.1 bootloader and XtreStrolite rom <3
I looked at your github. What are the memory killer tweaks? I don't see anything that really seems to correlate to memory killer. Also, how did you disable OOM killer? From what I've seen, OOM is present but does nothing. I'm just asking for my own sanity

Oh, my changelog for this build is as confused as my current state of mind is. OOM is back and enabled in this build, it was disabled prior to building in the configuration.
And looked at the commit history, yes you do seem to be right about missing memory-killer patches.
Sorry, I haven't managed to get all the patches I used to run in yet. Something was blocking boot for all week, thats why 3 governors are still disabled.
Today was my graduation day, it's a bit turbulent.. Published today instead on next Monday/Tuesday since it only lacks some minor patches at the moment

OK, just making sure I'm not going crazy. I've spent months trying to figure Samsung's method of memory management out, my head has nearly exploded more times than I can count. I wouldn't waste your time with OOM or LMK stuff in the kernel. It does nothing. All of the memory management stuff is in the services.jar, and they're changing it in the next update. So the little bit I have figured out will be useless lol. Congrats on graduating too BTW
Does this kernel root also? I use one of the kernels that rooted 5.1.1 automatically and want to know if I will lose root by flashing this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks Yeah, they work in mysterious ways that much is true. Otherwise disabling it should have solved it. Well, it didn't. At least I found a method to get new sourcecode within 15min after the firmware release.. They kind of rolled out the red carpet for me now.

Interactive, it's greatly adapted to the clusters and twice as big as the "usual" old Interactive thanks to it. You can also give simplgov a shot, it's basically Interactive with some changes I wanted to try out
Just flashed the kernel lets see how it performs. Currently on the interactive governor. Can you give some insight into your simplgov governor? What does it compare to?

Introduction:
• I'm a student who always wanted to contribute to the XDA community but I didn't have time. There were also many many great developers on my previous devices (Xperia X10 and Galaxy S3) so I didn't have to do things myself, I just had to flash and enjoy.
But on this phone, there aren't many devs, so I began to build things myself. I'm very proud to release my first project ever on XDA .
• I want this kernel to be built by the community with your suggestions of new features and that we discuss together about what we could add to this project, this is very important for me as I am not a dev, but just a beginner. I will try to answer every question that you may ask but please don't ask for ETA as I'm just a student.
• I ask the others devs to be kind with me as I'm still not very familiar with git.
• I'm not responsible for what could happen to your phone by flashing this kernel.
Features:
• Built with GCC 4.8 for stability
• Built with new Marshmallow sources
• init.d support
• Permissive SELinux status
• New governors (give suggestions if you know good governors and hotplugs !)
• New CPU hotplugs
• New IO schedulers
• Disable CRC for better memory speed
• Adreno Idler
• Undervolting (may be buggy)
• Network speed tweaks
• Powersuspend
• Kccal screen calibration
• Fastcharge
• AnyKernel by Osmosis flashing method
Bugs:
• Android logging
Instructions:
• You must be on Touchwiz, it will not work on CM nor Mokee.
• Use a custom recovery
• Download the kernel and put it on the memory of your phone
• Boot into recovery (Home/Vol +/Power)
• Flash the kernel and wipe dalvik and cache
It will reset your kernel adiutor settings to prevent any problem. If you don't want that, open anykernel.sh in the kernel package and change the line do.KAclean=1 to do.KAclean=0.
Share your setup (this is your part guys !):
Please report your best combinations of ROM/governor/hotplug... with stats if possible and I'll add it here
• @spezl config

Recommendations/tips :
• Use this kernel tweaker : Kernel Adiutor Mod. If settings don't stick at boot, set delay to 20 sec, press Test in settings, close the app, wait the 20 seconds and reboot
• If you don't know where to start with the features, interactive + zen decision will give you decent battery life, good overall speed and no heating.
• If you use zzmoove, disable cpu hotplug as it is already built in the governor. To change the profiles of zzmoove, go to tunables, profile number and choose the one that you want. Here's the reference
Ronflex profile :
I managed to create an awesome profile to have both performance (ultra smooth experience) and awesome battery life (1hr screen on + wifi of social networking and surfing = 10%, see the screenshot). Here are the broad lines of the settings:
• The key of this profile is this very interesting xda thread : you can mode the interactive governor to do exactly what you want it to do (especially which frequencies it should use). I applied the settings calculated for our lovely G901F on yankactive governor which is known to be power efficient.
• The hotplug is bricked hotplug, a very efficient hotplug for both performance and battery life
• No overclock, only underclock to 268 mhz
• msm-adreno-tz gpu governor at 240-500 mhz + adreno idler, I don't play games a lot but for instance Alto's adventure is working great with this set up
• No undervolt
• Kccal screen calibration new settings to reduce brightness of the screen. With stock settings, the screen was in my opinion too bright, especially inside and in the dark.
How to apply Ronflex profile ?
• Download RonflexProfile.zip
• Unzip it
• Replace profiles.json with the one you found in my zip in data/data/com.kerneladiutor.mod/files (don't set permissions or the profile will not display !!!)
• In kernel adiutor mod, go to profile, click on RonflexProfile and apply !
hey great work on this kernel !!! if possible could you add more io schedulers in the next release? preferable sio. thank you for your hard work !!

Hi
I take in consideration your demands . However I still don't know when I'll release next version as my week of exams begins tomorrow. Stay tuned
Would it be possible for anybody to post stock kernel zip for Reflash in case I want to go back to it?

Hi, I'd advise you to use TWRP and backup your boot partition. If you need to get back to stock kernel, just restore
But if you really need a flashable stock kernel zip, I'll make one

I'm currently testing V2! Expect a release soon
V2 is online, find the links in OP : what's new ?
- hotplugs are back
- underclock (268) / overclock (2880)
- added kcal support for screen tweaks
- prevent some kernel wakelocks
- new io schedulers
- fastcharge
I'll publish my kernel adiutor profile soon, I still need to make some optimizations but I must say that it is very promising ! (around 45 min for 10% consumption when screen is on on wifi)
Francais, et en plus de ca Lyonnais ! GG Frero.
Wait for your kernel profile , so good for 45 minutes. Thanks Man !
Testing v2.
Thanks CRACK!!!

I get bootloop when I flash this kernel..
Runs great with zzmove batteryplus, OC 2880/UC 268, UV-10, cfq with 512kb int./1024kb ext. read ahead and msm adreno tz with idler enabled and tuned to be less aggressive.
Testing SOT now...
Thanks a lot @licha26!
...btw: anybody able to enable simple_ondemand governor for GPU without sudden reboot?

In all day I dont had any issue, reboot, etc...
The battery life is very good.
Great work!!!

NOTES - MUST READ
1. Do not ask or request overclock. It wont be added.
2. This kernel uses AnyKernel 2, just like the Linaro Kernel by Nick Verse. So, it should work on all Galaxy J5 (2015) models. You test and report.
3. ROOT is not included in kernel, neither in the flashable zip. You have to flash SuperSU zip manually, after flashing the kernel.
4. For some reason, Kernel Adiutor still show the frequencies below 800Mhz, but those are not being used as i dont want to.
5. F2FS is not enabled yet.
6. I've just found that QuadRooter Scanner still show a vulnerability. I think I've forgot to apply a commit since on lollipop version it's fixed. I'll look later and it'll be fixed in next release.

REQUIREMENTS / COMPATIBILITY:
- Galaxy J5 2015
- Nougat ROM based on LOS/AOSP. While it should work on all, keep in mind that this has been tested mainly on LOS.
- TWRP 5.1.1
It should work on all models as ive stated at notes.
However, if it doesnt work on your model (other than J500FN) or if you encounter issues, then try to remove the dtb.img from kernel zip and flash it again after restoring the boot.img which the ROM you are using came with.
The dtb included in zip is J500FN one and thats why it may not work or you may have issues. Ive included the dtb because SoUnd001 did some changes to this (like using 50mhz frequency) and i dont want those changes. To overwrite those changes, i had to include the dtb.

-arch_power and gentle_fair_sleepers toggles
-disabled CPU L2 Cache during video sessions to save more power
-removed verifiedbootstate flag from /proc/cmdline (in order to pass the SafetyNet CTS check with an unlocked bootloader, this patch is needed); I dont know if Pokemon GO game or something similar works now, you can check and report as im not playing those games)

changelog:
09/05/2017
- added I/O switcher: a driver which change the I/O scheduler to noop automatically when screen goes off and restore the I/O scheduler which was set before when screen is on after 10 seconds
- silenced much more kernel logs
- re-enabled SWAP & ZRAM
- added sys interface to configure linux printk logging (debugging purpose)
- added GPU time_in_state stats (similar to CPU stats)
- added Quick Wakeup driver: Allow kernel driver to do periodic jobs without resuming the full system. It should increase battery life.
- added toggles for gentle_fair_sleepers and arch_power
- TCP cubic fixes
- added SIOPLUS, ZEN v2 and BFQ schedulers
- enabled conservative governor
- fixed some memory leaks
- fixed a problem where reboot on Android panics the kernel almost every time when file systems are mounted over loop devices
- updated power efficient workqueue + fixes; enabled by default
- added GPU governor whitelist to prevent you from enabling GPU governors which are unstable / incomplete (bw_hwmon, bw_vbif, gpubw_mon; all those 3 make the phone freeze once are enabled). Now when you try to enable those, it wont change anything.
- misc fixes and improvements

- wifi module is now smaller as it should be (~40mb -> ~3mb)
- disabled some kernel logs
- disabled ZRAM, SWAP and everything else related to swap
- allow 320K AAC encoding
- misc fixes and improvements
- increased charge time from 30s to 100s when battery status is near full
(When charger is online for a long time, such as 12 hour, the battery status changes from charging to full and resumes charging.
The reason is that battery is not full at the first full state. So increse charge time from 30s to 100s when battery status is
near to full. This methods will reduce the number of recharging time)

- disabled android log and crc check by default
- added back kcal (color control), drivedroid support and power efficient workqueues
- removed verifiedbootstate flag from /proc/cmdline (in order to pass the safetynet cts check with an unlocked bootloader, this patch is needed); i dont know if pokemon go game or something similar works now, you can check and report as im not playing those games)
- tweaks to improve i/o latency on ssd
- fixed few security vulnerabilities (such as dirtycow and quadrooter)
- many patches has been applied for faster i/o read / write
- governors are more friendly towards latency-sensitive bursty workloads
- and other misc tweaks

- reworked from scratch and based on caf source for more performance / smoothness (now i can clearly see a difference )
- updated gpu driver to mm source
- added crc toggle (enable / disable)
- enabled adaptive lmk by default and set vmpressure_file_min for msm8916 from caf
- disabled arch_power
- frezee bug is gone
- removed: Ota, kcal, soundcontrol, power efficient workqueues, zen governor, frandom
- removed also the ramdisk modifications as it may lower performance / smoothness. I might try again in future.

All the features are mentioned in first post. The governors you've mentioned aren't present, but the zen scheduler is.

Here's a thread with detailed descriptions/information about governors, I/O schedulers (including Zen), hotplugs, TCP congestions. There's also benchmarks and comparisons.
@#Henkate you're becoming a pro in building custom kernels :good:
Dies this use frq under 800?

No. Please read my post here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72280158&postcount=131 . That doesn't mean that it can't have a good SOT. I've got 7-8h in past when I used CM13 and as you know it doesn't have these frequencies neither.
I'm waiting for feedbacks. Take your time for that.
Last but not least, lemme remind you again that this kernel wouldn't be possible without the guys mentioned at credits.
EDIT:
QuadRooter Scanner still show a vulnerability. I think I've forgot to apply a commit since on lollipop version it's fixed. I'll look later and it'll be fixed in next release.
Sadly I am not on 7.1.1 so i can't test this. :crying:
Awesome job! First custom kernel for Nougat
This kernel has support VOLTE ?

I guess you meant ramdisk which is a part of boot.img. No, it doesn't.
But if the ROM which you're using would get volte support, then it'll work with this kernel as well since it's using the ramdisk from the actual kernel.
E.g.: Let's say that there is a new update of LOS which has volte support (in ramdisk, but also rom). After flashing the new update, you'll get the kernel which ROM is using. Then you flash my kernel and it'll use same ramdisk with volte support because I'm using AnyKernel (Google it), so i wouldn't have to make the changes from the new update manually.
YuZaGa said:
Kernels don't need to support volte. It's the rom which does it.
You should ask SoUnd1 to add the volte support.

Both kernel & rom must support the volte

Thank you for using it!
I'd like to hear feedbacks though, but take your time for that.
Same goes to the other people which have downloaded and using it. If you want new releases, let me know your feedback from the actual release. I need to know if you have problems and your overall experience.
CPU Overclock would be awesome otherwise it's pretty good in terms of battery, performance and stability
