MHL connection problem

Hello everybody.
I just bought a micro usb to hdmi port .
No hdmi signal to tv.
How can i do this to work?
U must connect ur charger to the mhl cable while connecting it to the hdmi target .. Other settings are done on tv itself.

It works only on Samsung stock roms and ones based on it.

[Q] Note 717 Hooked to a monitor

I have been using the Note 717 as my home computer. I downloaded Liquid smooth 4.1.2 and now the HDMI to Micro USB adapter doesn't recognize the monitor? Please help....I would also like other ideas for hooking the phone to a monitor. The cables constantly cause issues with connection. thanks you
I have used several different galaxy phones for TV out of monitor out. The galaxy s was sweeet had TV out 3.5 to rca. Since then I had a nexus and just bought the note. In my experience its best to put the phone somewhere it won't be touched and buy a Bluetooth mouse keyboard combo. They have some sweet ones from rii on eBay for around 50. If you can't resist touching the phone instead make a dock or a seat for the phone that holds it in place and connect the cables in the bottom

Is it an mhl adapter? Thats what you need to connect it to a monitor/tv
Actually, I haven't seen mhl work on any JB ROM.

MHL for xperia tablet z?

The mhl port on this tablet has a weird shape to it, I can't fit my 11 pin mhl cable that works with my galaxy note 2 into the port.
Does anyone know if the xtz uses a 5 pin port? Or can anyone point me to an mhl cable that's compatible with this tab?
Thanks

The tablet Z uses the 5 pin mhl. I have one and it works fine.
the 11 pin mhl should at least fit at the port is just a standard microusb / mhl port, which you would also use for charging and data transfer.
It might fit, I didn't try to hard out of fear of damaging the port. The 11 pin plug has this indent that is supposed to prevent you from sticking it in a normal micro usb port

but sony mhl adaptor IM750 has only added advantage, it's cec compatible, ie, you can control the phone ( every mhl xperia phone) or tablet ( not confirmed or verified by anyone yet), via tv remote, you can do almost anything apart from call the phone
basically with cec compatible, you can use the phone or tablet as a media player with no hassle, I had working via dk22 dock for xperia tx, micro hdmi via xperia arc before that.
IM750 is the non dock version, Samsung official mhl adaptor ( whether for s2, s3 or mhl2 standard s4 - not confirmed) is not cec compatible.
I bought cheap 5 pin mhl adapter from ebay. I can't post link jet.
It is For Samsung Galaxy S2 HTC/Nexus/Note but it won't work with my tablet z. Mhl icon appears on my tablet status bar but tv is black- no picture no sound.
I use original charger to power mhl adapter and i did everything like in youtube sony offical mhl tutorial videoideo with tanja
Any ideas why others work galaxy s2 adapter?
Spg321, android 4.2.2 stock non rooted
also bought a fosmon adaptor from ebay for the tab it work ok but the output display side bars on my TV. (tried it on two different HDTV) The TV is set for 1080p. I got in the service menu and force test MHL video to 1920x1080p and still have the side bars ?????
May the problem be caused by fact that my tv is not fullHD, it is 720p?
Item description from ebay:
Supports all audio and all resolutions up to 1080p

I bought the Samsung Galaxy S II MHL HDTV Adapter and although it works it is not a good fit for the tablet and puts pressure on the port cover. I have not used it much so have not replaced it but if I was using it regularly I wouldn't be happy with Samsung's offering.
link to cheapest compatible for tablet z?

[Q] Using Galaxy S2 as a HTPC

Hi Guys,
My old and faithful S2 recently developed a screen crack, although its completely usable but I am not planning to use it anymore due to safety issues rather I want to use it a as a HTPC by plugging it to my Library monitor.
I am planning to connect phone to HDMI port of monitor using MHL cable
MHL cable also have a micro USB connector,
I will connect a powered USB hub to this. so that phone can charge and connect to external drives and Wireless Keyboard adapters
My Questions is that Will it work, I mean will phone be able to charge and connect to USB disks and Wireless Keyboards/air mice at the same time ?
Try to use usb host controller maybe with this app you can controll all in the same time

[Q] Connectivity GT-I9305 with MHL Micro USB to RCA

Hi 1 week ago i bought this cable to connect my phone with LCD radio in car which have AV input. Can somebody help me if this cable is even good for s3 LTE and which micro usb is using (5 or 11 pin type) . Do anybody have experience with that and already connect s3?
The cable must be 11 pin and designed to work with the S3 model you have. The device you connect it to must also be MHL enabled.
