Hard Reboot Truesmart with long Powerbutton-Press? - Ornate TrueSmart

My truesmart had a sleep of death two times now. Its on, i can make Screenshots (pressing both buttons together gives a shutter-sound), but other than that the truesmart isnt reacting (the lcd is black). On ALL android devices i know, you can press the Power-Button for about 8 seconds to force a reboot. That isnt possible on the truesmart. The annoying thing is, that you need a screwdriver to pull the battery...
Is there a way, to implement this long button-press in feature Firmware-Releases? Or is it a Hardware-fault?
Thanks for your help and suggestions!

adb reboot will help. Disabling fast-reboot in settings might help too.

[Q] Question about a speaker popping up

I'm sorry if this is a noob question.
What is the speaker popping up every 1 minute on the screen?
Can I disable it?
Is it because i'm in vibrate mode?
Thanks
It might help if you take a screenshot of it if you can.
When you say popping up every 1 minute, does it mean it shows up and then disappears again?
If you're in vibrate mode, the icon is a slightly tilted rectangular device with squiggly lines on each side of it, so that's probably not it.
Here's a screenshot
AW: [Q] Question about a speaker popping up
This looks strange... I must admit I have never seen this before. Are you running stock rom? Did you install any audio manager app to control the speaker level?

Running completely stock and not using an app to control speaker.
I think I found a solution.
I switched the music of a game on and off and it seems like it's gone.
Hope it isn't temporary.
EDIT: It's temporary, got it again.
Tried a hard reset, didn't work.
When the speaker is popping up it has a notification like sound.
I'm desperate help me .

[TIP] Reduce capacitive buttons response lag

Hello all speed freaks out there!
Today during my OPT checkout i noticed one important thing which I thing nobody mentioned on forums before.
I couldn't believe that my new OPT is much less responsive on buttons then my HTC One M8 so I made some comparisons and this is what I found out:
The thing is that the phone is much more responsive when using on screen buttons instead of capacitive buttons.
I checked it out by turning on screen buttons on while remaining home function of finger print scanner button.
By default middle button is also checking if you didn't push it twice or didn't push it longer for alternative functions.
To have it responsive the same way as on screen buttons you have to change it's function for double click and long click to no action (the same for both sides buttons) and voila - phone is responding muuuch quicker to commands.
I've noticed that especially double tap function changing has huge influence (sorry double tap to start camera users )
Please try it yourself and give me a feedback
Cheers
If this works, i love you, thanks for posting!

Ambient mode

Hi, I am not able to get an ambient mode on my watch. When I check always on button in settings, my watches goes off through ambient mode but just for a second or two and don't stay in it. Can anyone help me please? I tried everything - rebooting, factory rester, nothing work. I own these watch only one week and it has been same since day one.
Same issue can anyone hepl plz
Make sure it is on in the Wear app on your phone as well.
Try to increase brightness to 4 for example. On my G-Watch I have sometime this issue.
Also maybe a power saving mode ? Try to charge and see if you have a message "battery reach 90% disable power saving ?"
You have to activate it in wear AND Zenwatch Software.

[Guide] OnePlus 2 Home Button Dead Solutions

Ok, so loads of people have faced this problem. This guide will help you to make the home button/fps work again!
Do the fingerprint sensor test first
Dial *#808#
A menu will appear
Select Finger print test
Select Finger Print auto test
If it says pass, you already have a working sensor
Reboot the phone to make it work again
If it says fail, follow the given methods!
Method 1
Put the phone on charging
Note: Do not remove the charging cable during the whole procedure
Go to Settings>Apps>All
Find com.oneplus.fingerprints.service
Select Clear Cache
Select Force Stop
Press the Power button for 10 seconds until the phone is completely off
Switch it on normally
Check if it works or not!
Method 2
Press the power button to bring up the reboot menu
Long press on Power Off option
Reboot to Safe Mode will appear
Click ok and let it reboot
Check home button if it works or not
Reboot normally
Tip: Try doing method 1 in method 2 when in safe mode
Method 3 <<Tested working by me
Drain the battery to 0%
When the phone switches off, keep pressing the power button and starting it
Keep doing Step 2 for 20 times
This is for draining the left over battery completely
Now, charge the phone to 100% keeping it switched off
Remember: Charge to 100% Works only when it is fully charged
After it says "OK" and it is fully charged, keeping the charging cable in, press the power button to boot the phone
Remember: DO NOT TAKE OFF THE CHARGING CABLE HERE
Enable the hardware buttons from settings if you have turned them off if you have been using software buttons (Settings>Buttons)
Check if the home button and fingerprint sensor works
Method 4
Clean flash OOS Stock version 2.0
Check if the home button works now
Best of luck!
Will keep this in bookmarks, because as a regular thing, this device should break my home button too.
Thanks so much buddy.
method 3 worked for me when all else failed.
Nice post here
Method 2
Method 2 worked for me! I've tried a lot of things, including Safe Mode things. but this time Method 2 while charging worked! Thank you very much!
For me none of the methods worked.
I presed the sensor arround until somehow changed to homescreen guess it was a bad contact or ground issue but its been working flawless since yesterday

I should mention that there is a shortcut rather than having to dial the number, you can make a shortcut with any activity launcher, in fact Nova launcher for instance can do that natively.

Wow I should have came across this thread before!
I had this issue before, but I fixed this issue with a clean install to OOS 2.2.0 myself.
Overall, nice post OP!

What I did was two things. First I went to system/usr/keylayout and added 102 HOME VIRTUAL to the end of that file (follow the examples in the file) and then I installed xposed, downloaded gravity box MM, turned on the option in navigation keys to disable double tapping home button, and rebooted. This fixed my home button.

(Not) Always on Display

Hello! I recently got a Mi 10 5G and am on a Global Rom 12.0.2.0 (QJBEUXM).
I have 2 problems:
1. The Always On Display is not 'always on', but goes out after approx. 15 minutes. Is that a feature or a bug?
2. When switching to “Do not disturb mode”, the media volume is set to 0. So if you are listening to music or an audiobook, it goes out, which is quite pointless. Same on you?

I think it's a feature for 1 and it's a bit annoying sometimes.
For 2 it's not really pointless when you consider it's called do not disturb mode. No distractions so no media....
Thank you! What ist the best way to contact Xiaomi for complains? I have used the contact Option within the rom and this mail adress:
[email protected]
No answer in both cases.
For "do not disturb" i have a complete other opinion. Its enough to mute notification and Ringtone, but since no music or audiobook App will start to play by itself in the night, media channel don't need to be muted.
It's not been muted in devices from other vendors also.

They won't pay attention so I wouldn't bother contacting them lol
Just turn silent mode on via volume slider to do what you want. Do not disturb is for 0 distractions.

Really? That's a shame.
Well, I use Tasker to auto rise media volume again automatically, as workaround.

For the first point I think you might have a bug, because I have always on display and it never shuts off! It is truly always on!
