[4.4.3]Official 4.4.3 Port Build #97- Snake's Venom-NEW BUILD! - Droid Ultra Original Android Development

Support for 4.4.3 has been discontinued due to 4.4.4 being released. See 4.4.4 port below

Hey top snake nice job I installed and here are the issues I have found.. First when making a call you lose data and second changing to cdma doesn't stick at least not for me other then those two issues you did one hell of a job. Also no issue like your 4.4.2 port when going back to 4.4 which had the data partition issues.

Thanks for trying it out! Im thinking the data loss may be an issue with the source being T-Mobile. Odd that CDMA didn't stick, it does for me.

i think so, but still using AT&T radio. As for me, it works better in GSM networks.

Thanks so much for this! The only problem with it is Touchless Control is broken for commands like "Find my phone" because it freezes the device for a bit and then restarts System UI. Also, after calling upon Touchless Control more than three times, it never worked again until after a reboot. Other than that, it's really great!

sorry but i have some more questions:
1. what does the displayfix "really" (disable onscreen buttons ?) ?
2. is it possible with this port to install OTA's from the moto x retail version (if they are released like a android 4.4.4 ota) ?
if not, have i to reflash a entire port like this again ?
3. what changes are made in the build.prop (in comparison to the original moto x one) ? i want to stay as "moto x", because the device compatiblity in the play store is higher with the moto x, as it is more widespread as the droid maxx.

1) on screen buttons and drivers for hw buttons
2)no. It will fail
3) build numbers, exploits, device reporting

So, i've installed this port, installed buttons fix, flashed Faux Kernel for 4.4.2 (colours works fine on it)))
Still trouble with Active Display
Does anybody have an idea how to fix it?

I couldn't, because update for Active Display is not available from GPlay...
service just shows current time.. not notification shortcut, nor notification details((
in all other firmware works fine, especially with faux kernel + faux control
But i reverted back to stock ROM, due to Active Display bug....

I've put together a small patch to allow use of the T-Mobile 4.4.3 stock ROM on the Droid Mini. This is basically an updated build.prop, the same lights blob and keyboard tweak included in the first post, with additional binary blobs collected by @mainbord for the Droid Mini.
No guarantees. Use at your own risk, etc, etc.

[app]TouchScreenTune - testing with ATT Note

UPDATED: added version 1.14 to this post (and pushed it to Play Store as well)
please let me know if it works good (doesn't reboot) when applying settings on stock rooted kernel.
Hi!
I'm trying to make my app TouchScreenTune to work on default kernel on ATT version of Galaxy Note. But since I don't have it myself (I have European Note), I obviously need some feedback from people with I717
This is for GingerBread kernel (however in the case on N7000 it works on ICS as well)
Could you please check if ToouchScreenTune test version attached to this post works with your rooted kernel? Especially I'm interested if it works with stock kernel. Just try to adjust SPen position to some extreme offset - you will immediately see it when pressing screen with SPen.
Thanks.
P.S. Description of the app from the Market after the break
----------
Market link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vital.tst.n7000&hl=en
*Requires Root*
*Currently supports Samsung Galaxy Note (tested on N7000), Galaxy S2*
*THIS IS TRIAL VERSION!!! FULL VERSION REQUIRES REGISTRATION AND IS PAID*
NorthAmerican/AT&T Note users - see comment regarding kernel below!!!!
TouchScreenTune application allows you to fine-tune settings of phone's touchscreen and calibrate Pen cursor position for every screen orientation (portrait/landscape...). (S-pen calibration obviously works only for Note)
It allows to dramatically improve responsiveness and sensitivity of touchscreen.
If you are using screen protector on your phone, the application will allow to raise screen sensitivity, so there will be no responsiveness impact from using screen protector.
This application allows you to calibrate amount of touch movement, when actual reporting of scrolling starts. That allows more smooth feeling of the interaction with the touch screen.
Without this application you cannot precisely draw or click small items with Pen because it reports position incorrectly - few millimeters away from the actual touch point. But this application allows you to precisely calibrate position of Pen touch on the screen. (Galaxy Note only)
Some common problems:
When first starting there should be popup from SuperUser application with request to get Root access. Some people say that sometimes it doesn't appear. In that case try starting the SU program first, and then this application.
This application supports standard Samsung firmwares - with custom kernels it may not work (however I have successfully tested it with some custom kernels)
Custom kernels: app requires kernel with KALLSYMS, so ask developer of your kernel to include this in his config when building kernel: CONFIG_KALLSYMS=y, CONFIG_KALLSYMS_ALL=y
Known issues: if when first starting application it seems to be not responding, and dialog asking to force close app comes - choose wait. This should happen only on first run.
Hi- I read sonewhere TST does not work with the stock att kernel. You need to root and flash a kernel that supports it from the development section.

I have the paid version and run rooted with custom kernel and can't get it to work
Sent from my note running a jelly bean key lime pie hybrid OS
It does not appear to change anything. I set the x and y offsets to 300 each and the target did not change position relative to the pen placement.

I have compiled it to work with kernel sources that were published by Samsung.

My apologies...I should have been more specific about my set up.
I'm using a custom ROM based off the leaked ICS 4.0.3 firmware. I'm rooted with SuperSU, but the kernel is stock since we don't have source for the ICS kernel yet.
I do get an error message

This is compiled for GB, however in the case of N7000 it works on leaked version of ICS as well. However judging from your error - either ICS leak lacks Kallsyms support or driver is much changed compared to GB version.
I have also uploaded one more test version - which possibly may work better.

Parsing error when trying to install the new version.
Stock GB kernel does not have KALLSYMS. It was added for some custom kernels, though.
My guess is that ICS does not have this either.

Uploaded new version again - now it seems to be OK.
Regarding Kallsyms - stock actually should have it - at least according to kernel sources published by Samsung, and also some people reports. So it would be really nice if somebody with stock kernel could test it.

I bought the app from you off the market.
It did work on the holo kernel.
However, on Seraphim ICS build it doesn't.
I actually uninstalled the program.
The spen is off by 1 square in s-memo. Not too bad.
ICS is much better about the sensitivity and tracking
I had them set to 0 and 25 as recommended but like I said that was too much so I just uninstalled.
does not work on un-rooted, stock att ...
Good to see you hear, i loved using this on GB.
Running ICS from the collective, it loads up but won't apply any requested changes.
May have to wait till the kernel is released and KALLSYMS is added in.
Hi vitalij,
I am running a rooted but otherwise totally stock at&t galaxy note. I tested the application but couldn't notice a difference with the spen settings, even moving them to the extremes.
I tested the application in the marketplace as well. It would open and let me adjust the settings (again, didn't notice a difference) but when I applied the changes my device would reset. I upgraded to the full version and the same thing happened. When I redownloaded the test version the reboot fixed itself, but the settings still don't make a difference on the pen.
Hope this helps!

or maybe setup a new one. Pure AOSP + your patches.
My project here is about making a spyder ROM with zero dependent on 3rd-party git.
- Upstream source is either AOSP or CyanogenMod.
- Overlay git for framework changes
- CM style device tree. Prebuilts binaries is pull directly via adb / image file (system.img)
Thanks for the screenshots mate, and i apologize for thinking it was a fake. (you know we've been sceptical over here )
Anyway, i think you should team up with whirleyes, sharing work will make more dev to help you i think.
I'm really interested to know what you did you make pure aosp booting on xt910.

[ROM][Nov 09] Navalynt's Optimized Base | RC1 Update 2 | 1.23.1540.1 | T6UL (GSM Only)
Introduction
My intention with this ROM is to create an optimized but stable base that I can use for my daily ROM and from which others can customize for their own ROM releases. I have no intention of spending large swathes of my time with programming and debugging for custom features, many of which can be added through the Xposed Framework. As much as I would like to do that I just don't have the time so please don't take offense to the fact that I have no feature request section and may just plain say no if asked to add something.

Please feel free to take this base and build off of it to create your own custom ROMs!

How to install a Custom Recovery
There are two current options from Flyhalf205
TWRP v2.6.3.0
CWM v6.0.4.4 (touch or classic)
It doesn't really matter which one you use, it's all personal preference. Just download one, reboot to the bootloader (Power + Vol Up), and flash using the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
After flashing the recovery you'll want to reboot into the recovery and IMMEDIATELY make a NANDROID BACKUP. There are no RUUs available (that I know of) so if something goes wrong you need a backup you can restore! My personal recommendation is that you backup to an external SD card and also keep a copy of the clockworkmod or twrp backup store on your computer for safe keeping.

I can't really talk about the base except that the 1540 designation in the build number says it's a developer edition. The only way to know if it's going to work on your phone is to try it out. Just make a nandroid first so if it doesn't work you can just restore your stock ROM.
It should work so long as your phone model is t6ul.

The RIL files within the ROM are for US bands, so from what you are describing it's possible this ROM simply will not work with your carrier.
Edit: Added as a known issue for now. It would be awesome if at least one more person on O2 or an O2 based MVNO would test and verify.
After half day running, the Rom is quite stable, smooth, thanks guy.

Unlocked just means you can put in another carriers SIM card. If your phone wasn't unlocked you would get a popup asking to enter a subsidy code.
The RIL is the radio interface layer. In simplest terms it acts as the go-between for the operating system and the actual cellular radio on the phone. If the ROM has a RIL file that is not compatible with the radio in your phone then cellular data will simply not work.
That is what the problem sounds like to me because restoring your nandoid (going back to stock) fixed the issue. I've tested this ROM on several handsets with several SIM cards and had reports via PM from several users that this ROM is working fine for them so the only thing I can think of an incompatibility between the RIL and cellular radio.
We're still in the infant stages of development for the HTC One Max so there's probably going to be several other pronounced differences between handsets depending on where they are sold.
One thing you could try is pulling these files from your stock ROM and pushing them to the custom ROM:
/system/lib/libhtc_rilhook.so
/system/lib/libril.so
/system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
/system/lib/libril-qcril-hook-oem.so
The easiest way to do this would be use adb pull on your computer while booted as stock, then replace those files in the ZIP for the custom ROM before transferring it to your phone to flash.
If you try this please post what happens!

How about Viper4Android instead. There are A LOT of extra options to customize the audio with that than with Beats (which is really just a equalizer preset). Plus it's still being actively developed and the developers don't mind integration with custom ROMs so long as proper credit is given for the work.

I'll see if I can put together a supplimental ZIP file tomorrow which adds Viper4Android and update a FAQ section with info on it as well some info on using ROM Cleaner v2.0 to get rid of the Sense elements that are unwanted. I personally get rid of most of it but I don't want to maintain a separate "slim" rom or start maintaining a fancy Aroma installation unless it's absolutely necessary.

[4.4.4] MIUI [4.9.5][AOSP Omni based]

First off I do not own an i605 myself but have the l900 (sprint) which is almost the same device. Hardware wise there is only a tiny difference which is in the partition setup. Sprint uses a different data partition mccblk0p17 where all other N2's use mccblk0p16 the other is our mccblk0p16 which contains special files used by sprint on their stock roms (just to make our lives more difficult). I have been working with @lacoursiere18 on a few of my projects for the l900 and we tried to port an earlier version of MIUI for our devices before he got busy with school. Since then I have successfully ported over MIUI to the l900 and i605. Brian has been nice enough to test build out and confirm it works great on the i605. So now I am releasing this for your flashing pleasure. I also took a little extra time and modified Plasma 2.55 to work with MIUI and gotten permission from @ffolks (a few months ago) to post the modified kernel for everyone to use.
Well everyone (l900 users and those who browse the l900 forums) already knows I hate doing OP's so they stay pretty simple and this wont will be any different. Also MIUI users know that there are weekly updates but since this is a port and I have so many projects going on. It might be a month or two between my releases.
This is ported from the N7100 which is based on Omni rom. Original rom is located here
http://en.miui.com/download-35.html
and is the one by mdiary. So far only issues I know of it call recorder does not work (just says being used by another app) and you have to go into settings..mobile networks..network mode and change to CDMA+LTE/EvDO to enable 4g after every boot. If you flash any gapps package you will lose gps. If you continue to read the OP I will give instructions on how to setup your MIUI rom to get the most out of it.
So I took the base and turned it into a full featured rom with a whole mess of add-ons and tweaks.
Included items/tweaks/mods
Adfree (although I already have a host list created)
dolphin browser
dolphin jetpack plugin
adobe flash 11.1 kk
es file manager
LG G3 Keyboard and a few themes
WSM (MIUI Xposed)
Mi-Tools module (like wanam or gravity box)
Paid themes module (all miui themes are free)
AOSP Dash Clock widget
AOSP Calender widget
Terminal emulator
A bunch of build.prop tweaks
A bunch of init.d scripts (to enable them continue reading the OP)
Bug list
MIUI-i605 4.9.5
Any Omni bugs
call recording does not work
If you flash any gapps besides mine you will lose gps
Change Log
MIUI-i605 4.9.5 9-8-14
First port of rom
Downloads
Flashing instructions
1. Backup internal sdcard to you PC or external sdcard (this will really help prevent issues
2. Boot into recovery and backup current rom
3. Do a factory reset (if using philz/cwm do clean for new rom)
4. Format/wipe internal sdcard (if you dont do this and have issues first thing I will say is format it)
5. Reboot back into recovery (this will create your internal sdcard dir structure)
6. Flash MIUI and boot it
7. After initial setup power off and boot into recovery
8. Flash Gapps (please do it in this order or you will end up wiping and reflashing)
9. Boot into rom
10. Go to post #3 and follow those steps
Do not flash any kernel besides the modified Plasma or your rom wont boot. If there is an AOSP kernel you want to use let me know and I will make it compatible.
Plasma 2.55 MIUI edition Synapse is included in this flashable zip

Importaint tips for MIUI
Simple things for now
1. Open security (located on first screen)..permissions.. and turn on root permission
2. Open WSM tools (miui xposed) and click install DO NOT reboot yet
3. At top of the screen you will see < Manage click here and enable all three modules
4. Reboot phone and setup Mi-Tools to your liking and reboot for settings to be applied
5. Open settings... general settings tab... mobile networks... network mode... set to CDMA+LTE/EvDO (will have to do this every boot to have 4g(LTE)
6. If you want to use a different launcher ( I dont like the iOS style launcher myself ) open settings... general settings... display... default launcher.. and select launcher3 or whatever you have installed yourself
7. Setup your google account and enjoy
Some things are in Chinese
in settings... general settings.. stock settings you will see two chinese options the top one is your advanced settings for samsung devices the bottom one is your Mi-POP settings (that circle with the back icon)

I have been using Maverick Pro from the play store and find it gets GPS lock with google maps from play store also installed... Once maverick has a lock other apps seem to work as well.
Here is the free version:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codesector.maverick.lite
..i set my location setting to device only; the first time i used it it took a few minutes to lock, but its been very quick every time since.
The yellow dotted indicator in the bottom bar of the app shows number (16) of gps satellites found:

[ROM] Sac23&Darkera13 Note 5 Ported V2 10/27 - No Services

Since I am new and can't post in the development forum...
I really like this Rom but I can not get it to access any network functions either cell or data. I have tried both versions, waited when flashed and booted before rebooting, dirty flashed v1 to v2... but no matter what I get these:
SAE has stopped (after boot up)
Insert Sim Card to access network services (on sprint?)(when attempting to turn Mobile Data on)
and it says in the top bar "checking device status"
Can not update profile or prl
Please help...
What modem and baseband are you on?
Sim card not recognized
I have the same problem although SAE went away when I chose note 3 camera but still no service and Sim card not found!
Modem is listed as unknown and not even an option for baseband

sac's rom is ancient and other people have made improvements to darkera's Lp note 5 port. Try Music of Life LP rom from main note3 forum. Since there's zero interest to port them to the sprint , install with XAS csc to allow apn editing. If you don't mind some bugs, try the S7 edge ports instead. Darkera, music of life, and others currently have s7 ports. They all have their own threads (darkera has his english thread at samsungvn) if you want to ask further questions about them.

Try going to build.prop and changing the device name to:
ro.product.model=SM-G925F
I'm not sure why either wouldn't work they work fine for me but that is a setting I changed to get themes to work.

I'll try that, thank you again for all of your help. I have noticed that smart select is working after boot up and for a little while after, then it stops. Something must be killing it after a while, I've tried deselecting various Xposed modules but have stuck out so far figuring out the correct one. Hopefully this will work

Try freezing sae 2.0 in titanium. Seemed like that had something to do with it as well. It's been a while.

Thank you, I did want to try Phronesis' 6.5 but just wasn't confident that I'd be able to get data to work. I seems like it works great with xposed, enough though there's so much baked in that most modules wouldn't be necessary. I wanted a 5.1.1 stable ROM, MM still seems to be too buggy, it seems like Sac's was the only alternative for me, but I guess I need to figure out the APN option to make others work with Sprint.
