Buttons Backlight - Paranoid Android Features Development

Would it possible to add another option for button backlight? ‘Only when touched/pressed’

Since the only devices we support are Nexus, we don't have backlights on any buttons. You would need to ask your device maintainer

[Q] How to lock all buttons except power when the phone is in suspend mode

Thre are a lot of thread in which are people asking how to lock the buttons when the phone is in suspend mode and wake up the device only with power button.
This was common on most of older HTC devices.
So my question is, is it possible to take some registry from older devices and implement it in our Leo, so only the power button will wake up the device?
Here are some threads about this "issue":

[Q] i9100 (Galaxy S2) How to make capacitive buttons react on release intead of press

Hi, I've oserved that the capacitive touch buttons on the SGS2 doesn't behave like the touch screen one's. In the touchscreen yo must press and release to make them act. Instead of this, the capacitive one's act instalntly on press, causing lot's of accidental presses.
I would like to change the behaviour of the capacitive buttons to perform only on release instead of press. Any idea how to do that???
Thanks!

Camera under on/off button + making on off the shutter button

Is there any possibility to do this? it is pretty inconvenient to use the touchscreen to make pictures and it would be nice if the hardware buttons can be used for making pics.
i want this too, i miss real buttons! i wish handsets all had a row of generic configurable buttons like WM devices of yore.

In ics it lets you configure a volume button so once it drops that will change. Can also use camera fx for time being.
My search button is my shutter control.

[Q] CM 10.1 hardware button Backlight

Hi guys,
I'm using CM 10.1 nightly on my I9300, the thing i don't like is that, the back light on the hardware buttons are light up when ever i touch on the touch screen or the HW buttons.I don't need that, i only need the back light when ever i touch on the HW buttons only not on the touch screen.
Is there any way to do that.disabling the backlight from the advanced menu makes the back light turn off completely(it will not turn on even if i touch on the button).
If any one out there with any info, PLEASE HELP...

There is no option for that in advanced settings...the Backlight option in that only disable or enable it fully...no option to light up only when touch the buttons.
right, I misunderstood what you wanted. Don't think there's a way

[Q] How the capacitive buttons' lights work?

Ok, I'd like to know what controls the process of powering on and off of capacitive buttons' lights in AOSP android. Also I'd like to know whether it possible to make changes in it's logic. For example: by default in AOSP these lights are turned on every time we touch the screen, and they turn off after some period of untouching the screen. Samsung devices running stock (at least 4.1+) light up these lights only if we touch buttons, but not the screen. I'd like to know if it's possible to make other devices' hardware buttons' lights follow the same logic (light up only when we touch capacitive buttons, but not the screen).
