Homemade game clip for note 3 - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

here is my home made game clip for the dual shock3 ps3 controller that our note 3 will fit.
i have included the cad drawing in the RAR file so you can make the clips fit your case.
this is for wireless only as it covers the charging port. (((( thanks for the new root and six axis game controller app.)))
the pdf will print exactly what you see (make sure to do actual size in printing)
this is made from 1/2 inch cutting board plastic cut out on a metal bandsaw then sanded.
and it works great....

HD car holder

Anybody knows if Herbert Richter is going to manufacture "dedicated" cradle / car-holder? I was very satisfied with the Polaris one (see picture) but i can not find any information about it for HD, i can not even find a web site of this firm !!
Rgds,
I got their universal holder, and HD fits well... until dedicated one shows up
I am using the Brodit active holder: fits perfect !
pictures will come tomorrow
OK, thanks for your answers, will wait a bit longer ...

Its not held by gravity. Otherwise it would jump out on bad streets.
Brodit holders hold it firmly with the side panels.
I just mounted them an hour ago. These are my 3rd Brodit holders, expensive but worth every cent.
So yes: you can rotate it and it wont fall out.
any pictures with this in landscape mode? love how it comes with the car charger! definately a plus while using GPS

I have been using it for a few weeks now. Quality is good. The device fits nicely. First I had it mount with the two flaps on the right, but then you cannot take out the stylus. So i flipped it 180 and now it is fine . I never use the stylus in the car anyway, but I am a perfectionist
I use the Force Universal Car Holder
and landscape mode
Sorry i couldn't put the HD on the thing so you can see how snugly it fits cause i used the HD itself to take the pic lol.

Motorbike weatherproof box?

Hi all!
I'm searching for some kind of weatherproof box to use on my Dragstar.
Something not too bulky and with recharge connection possibility.
So, if anyone has ever made or bought this kind of fixation, please, share your experience!
For now I'm using Krusell BikeHolder with PDair Aluminium Case and thinking about Krusell ORBIT FLEX. Both are not weatherproof, so just for café rides...
Thanks!
The product you are looking for is the Otterbox 3600 - my mates use them on their trail bikes and they are the dogs danglies. It is big and bulky byt it is crush proof and waterproof. you need to buy the box (about £60) and a handlebar mount. they also have an access hatch top and bottom to run leads through for charging and headphones.
Good luck and post pics
Thanks, matt_not_andrew. I know them well, even thought about Armor 2600, but it is still a little bulky. I don't make trial rides, just highways' journeys, so a good rain protection can be enough.
Thanks anyway for an advice!

Hello. I have ordered the Otterbox 1900 and it will be interesting to how to fit my Blackbird ..
My DIY approach:-
I bought a transparent pencil case for 30 pence and cut it to size around the Blackstone. Sewed up the edges with linen thread and glue and kept the zip on one side for inserting the phone. I had a handlebar mount from an old TomTom Rider unit and I attach my case with the phone on to this mount using heavy duty velcro. I made a little whole at the bottom of the case to accept the usb lead for charging from the cigarette lighter socket. It never comes off but I attached a piece of string/cord on the zip which clips around the handlebars in case it ever did fall off.
It's probably not completely waterproof at the seams but I have used it in all weathers and not had any problems so far.
I recently glued an old bicycle inner tube around the seam edges cut to size to give it extra protection. Not the prettiest but very light and functional. Use it a lot on my motorbike
Aquapak and velcro.
I've had a RAM mount for a while now and use it on my Thundercat. Cost about fifty quid including the aquabox, arm and mount for handlebars and it works a treat. I've only had my HD for a couple of days and haven't tried it in the box to see if it fits yet (I used to use it with orbit 2 and it fit with room to spare). I'll try it this weekend though.
Just checked and the Touch HD fits in the RAM mount aquabox
Super! Can you tell me which one exactly?

Cool! I'm at the verge of ordering the Ram mount Aqua box with handlebar fixture. But would like to know in what size box the HD fits (I suspect the medium...) and if it fits well in there (no sliding around or anything). So any info will be much appreciated.
Yep it was medium from memory - will check for sure later today if I remember when I get home. I got the short arm, the ball that bolts on to the back and there's a bracket that bolts on to the clamp of my clip on - I could take a pic if that would be helpful?
Did my Otterbox 1900 today, and HD is perfectly suited to touch screen. I have mounted RAMmount ball Clutch-reservoir and an arm that goes to the Otterbox None problem to see the dashboard either .. Satisfied with the deal.

Yes, a picture (if possible with the Touch HD in it ) will be much appreciated. That way I can see what it actually looks like instead of the commercial pictures. Thanks is advance.
Oooh, this I can't wait to see. If it works good on your clipon, I'll order a set myself.
Want to use my blacstone w/garmin mobile xt on my new bike
Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention that it's the ram aqua box I'm interessted in
And has somebody tried an Otterbox 2600 Series PDA Case ? It is a little smaller than 1900, but as the interior dimensions fit, it can be a deal.

Hello.
Right that you look after the Otterbox.
Good quality.
I have rammounts aquabox and in comparison this is aquaboxs screen NOT so clearly transparent..my otterbox is better clearly screen and much better touchrespons.
Right then, it's the medium aquabox this one
http://www.ram-mount-uk.com/ram-hol-aq2.htm
I've attached a picture of it mounted on the bike. As you can see it's bolted on to the clipon clamp: you just loosen the arma and take the arm and box with you, leaving the bracket and ball attached to the bike. I got the short arm which is more than sufficient I think and you can pull it upwards towards you either in bright sunshine or when you've got a fully loaded tankbag on the bike. The lens bit could be better I guess, but it does the job - the only thing you have to do is make sure you don't get any raindrops inside when it's raining otherwise it tends to steam up with the heat of the phone.
I run a USB cable through a hole drilled in the bottom of the aquabox, down the side of the tank and under the seat where it plugs into a cigarette lighter usb charger which plugs into a maplin lighter socket and into the battery.
Dude, thanks this is exactly what I am thinking about buying.
Would you mind taking a picture of just the bracket with the ball? I mean, when you've detached the arm/aqua box?
The question is what bracket to buy. Is it the RAM Motorcycle Zinc Coated 0.75" To 1.25" Rail Or Handlebar U-Bolt Base?
or the RAM Universal Brake/Clutch & Handlebar Combination Kit?
And they even have more to choose from. I don't even understand how to fix the Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base...
Ah, found the motorcycle mount wizard, which tells me that it's the first one I mentioned...
The bit that bolts to the clip on is this
http://www.ram-mount-uk.com/ram-b-309-1.htm
This bolts on to the bottom of the aqua box
http://www.ram-mount-uk.com/ram-b-202.htm
And one of these arms
http://www.ram-mount-uk.com/ram-b-201.htm

ideal car holder/fitting method for touch hd?

I love using my hd to watch movies hooked up to aux input in my car,
I got one of these of ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CAR-CHARG....c0.m14&_trkparms=65:1|66:2|39:1|293:1|294:50
its already snapped!
I want something that allows you switch between horizontal/vertical and tilt funtion for tomtom and core player
I may try velcro stickers or maybe an air vent holder
any other ideas?
I have had 2 of these..they are absolutely rubbish, the insertion clip snapped both times. I have also tried another holder (universal one) and that turned out to rubbish too, I threw it away. Another time the suction disc came away from the arm. I have also tried my own custom made holder - I took a leather phone case and screwed it into the back of the arm attachment, that worked much better than the worthless gadgets of ebay. So save your money and forget buying from ebay, it maybe worth spending a bit more for a better quality item. And just yesterday I found my my xda orbit holder provided by O2 so using that for now which fits the Touch HD very well.
My side I buy that for my car Car Windshield Swivel Mount Dock for HTC Touch HD. At 5.60$ nobody can make better!
Work like a charm!
KaNiMziE
I had a universal jobby off ebay, that was a bit rubbish since where it clamped onto the phone it obscured the volume control buttons.
Ordered one of the HD specific designed ones and will see how that goes.

Brodit holder + charger
I have recently installed a holder and charger for my Touch HD and can highly recommend it!!

The installation was somewhat easy, had to open the dashboard to connect it to power behind the stereo.
Pro Clip makes some amazing solutions. I have used them for years on numerous devices.

I like the look of the solid mount to the screen, but the holder looks a bit busy.
How have you found it?
Paul.
I got my own here www.mobilefun.co.uk
In this page you can find just about everything you need for your touch hd or any other phone... Bad thing deliveries are done only within the EU countries
The link for the holder i personally purchased and i'm 100% satisfied is here:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/htc-touch-hd-car-holder-p19992.htm
If you are looking for something a lot cheaper that goes with a car charger in the pack you can look here:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/drivesafe-car-pack-for-the-htc-touch-hd-p20932.htm (only difference with the first one is a little more stiff on adjusting method) but its still perfect and safe & both are really easy to adjust horizontally and vertically the phone & they are both built for windshields which means you can video type your driving
I suggest it without second thoughts!

Got the same one. Pricey but oh so worth it. I love it,and would def recommend it. I've tried the suction ones, and they for some reason keep falling off the windscreen, even with cleaning the surface/drying it etc.
The brodit just clips into your dash, and fit your touch hd perfect. They make mounts for every car.
I love it!!!
And it charges at a normal rate, just like a standard wall charger.
I have this one and it's excellent..
Brodit holder question
I have a cheap universal effort I bought from some motorway services - Im looking for a better solution - im using airvent attachment - its a three pronged affair which clips over one of the vent "stays". Its wobbly as hell - which is fine most of the time, except when you are attaching the charging cable. Does the Brodit attach to the airvents ? if so does it attach solidly ? in a better way than my three pronged clip ??
Depending on your car and which mount you want.
For my Xantia, using the vent beside the steering wheel the mounting plate fits in around the vent, between the vent unit and the dashboard body, rather than the cheapo ones that clip feebly to the vent.
At the moment I'm using two of the suction cup ones that people have had problems with.
Superglue is your friend (no, do not superglue it to the windscreen no matter how temping that sounds!).
The internal flange which holds the silicon cup to the base of the arm breaks up causing it to regularly fall off teh windscreen, some good superglue carefully dripped in fixes this. The other problem I've had is the ends breaking where the metal snake fits in, again superglue (pull back the concertina cover) in each end sorts this.
Ok these are things that should not go wong in a good product, but when they're available for a couple of quid shipped from China, it's to be expected, and thankfully easily rectified.
Has anyone got the details of a UK supplier of Brodit?

Homemade Stand for Gtab

Ok so I could not wait for a stand and did not want to go put $$ down on something that was not perfect fitting for the Gtab.
I have lots of tools and wood, so here is my 15min $0 Gtab stand.
I used a piece of scrap PERGO flooring from when I did my kitchen that matches the wood on my desk and it has a foam underside built on to it for no scratches.
I have felt pads in the corners where the tablet touches.
Tab sits at a 45 degree angle. I already have ideas for a adjustable version as well that may swivel.
it has my my enjoyment of the gtab better.

You are correct and I stand corrected. it is more of a stand at this point. It could turn into a dock down the road if the one viewsonic makes is not up to my standards I guess.
Thanks for pointing out my mistake, it has been updated.
Very nice, I was thinking about something like this, but much smaller. Something like a kickstand on the device with rubber feet, not sure why they didn't build something in for using with keyboard, but I guess that is what their dock will be for.

Ahh the Joy of Legos... I gave my 5 yr. old son, who reminds me he is 12 yrs. old in Lego years, my ZT-180 tablet with a Lexar 32GB USB disk loaded with 19 hours of 'Star Wars the Clone Wars' episodes... and sure enough I found him watching it on the floor while playing Lego with Star Wars characters and he had incorporated the tablet into his 'Command Ship' that he was building...
He used a LOT more pieces to hold his tablet up
I don't know if my son would let me have the lego pieces to build that, I would have to fight him for them!

This is really the best cheap stand... I used to use one when I had my GenTouch.
Mine was black and actually looked really slick... I'm sure you could find a variety at any thrift store. Found mine layin around the house somewhere.

You can also use a business card holder from an office supply store. The metal mesh ones work good because they do need a slight bend in the top to add stability.

I know I posted my quick stand on slatedroid, but not sure about here. One more time:

You can also adjust the angle of the tablet by drilling a few more holes in the base closer to the slot. If you dont have the tools for the slot, just glue a strip of wood where the slot is. Simple!
what's point of tablet if you are going to use it like laptop?

Well, I bought a NotePro, that should sufficiently confirm my rather expensive (but quite practical) taste
I figured, if I was going to spend my cash on a bag, might as well get myself one I can use for the next 10 years for everything. It wasn't too bad, considering the tab itself was 900 quid..
I use the keyboard about 25% of the time, so a case with a keyboard certainly would be overkill.

It would still be quite helpful to have your links to see pictures and model numbers. For example, I searched Samsonite 13.3" Neoprene Sleeve and there are several on Samsonite's website with a range of prices.
I also saw the post in which someone compared your Icicu bag dimensions to another (not nearly as elegant) bag. I looked up yours on the Icicu website and was disappointed there was no photo of the bag's interior (or even a closer view of the pockets). I wonder if you might be able to post photos of your bag with and without your things?

I also use this keyboard. I love the backlit keys and the ability to use the same keyboard with my tablet and my pc at the same time, switching between the two by simply pressing a button.
Other than that, I sometimes use a Logitech Zone Touch T400 mouse (I hate the noise the scrolling wheels make and this mouse solves that problem), although I primarily bought it to use with my laptop. The battery lasts forever.
I'm currently using the KLD case. I ordered a black one but it's really more of a dark brown with tan on the inside. I have a black Baseus case on the way.
I bought the Wacom Bamboo Stylus when I had a Note 10.1, but it wasn't as precise as the original pen, so I sent it back.

Most Logitech mouses these days have two scroll options, smooth and toothed. The scroll button changes the setting The smooth scrolling is ideal at night when each click sounds like a gunshot.

I was just looking to order the Logitech keyboard for the Note Pro 12.2 and stumbled upon these two-
http://www.amazon.com/NEWSTYLE-Sams...ubst_pc_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0XGC69TMKWY9KT0R7QK9
http://www.amazon.com/Ionic-Bluetoo...ubst_pc_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0XGC69TMKWY9KT0R7QK9
It's a fraction the price of the Logitech. I was sure I was going to get the Logitech instead of the Zagg but now I think I should wait to see what other lower cost options exist.

I've had keyboards like that for other tablets and they worked ok for how little I used them. I had one that had issues pairing but that could have been the rom I was running at that time.....If you're going to be doing a LOT of typing then I'd invest in something better. But if you're just going to type once a week or every 2 weeks then this should work
THe thing I don't like about these cases, as well as the logitech one, is they are too bulky. One of the reasons I purchased the Note Pro is for how thin it is for it's size...I want to enjoy that aspect while using it.

I was planning on getting a K810 anyway for home computing and that could have been the answer to everything but then I would have no case. Even if I got a different case it would mean carrying the keyboard separately and paying a premium for a case and separate keyboard like the K810. That was why I thought the Logitech Pro with the built in keyboard was the best choice but now I'm stumped again because of the whole K810 option. If I find a really nice case then maybe I wont mind spending $100 on the K810 and another $50 or so on a case.

THIS is the case I bought and it only costs $13....I really like it a lot and for my needs it works quite well. I want to get the Otterbox case to use at work since I am a physical education teacher there's always that chance of something terrible happening to my technology. It adds bulk but for work at least I'll need something good...I have the Otterbox on my Note 2 and love it!! HERE is the screen protectors I am using and they also work quite well.
Even though I already have the ZAGG keyboard case I think I might also get the Samsung one as well. I here it's much better than the ZAGG & more durable...I'm just waiting for it to drop below $70...

Actually, I did shorten the nib as far as I could but it was still way off. It did not even occur to me to cut off the tip of the pen itself. I paid 45 dollars for it, I wanted it to work without looking like it was hacked by a two year old. So, the logical thing to do was to send it back and recover most of what I paid. I will get a Pilot pen and use that as a holder for the original pen like someone suggested in another thread, and I will have saved myself 40 dollars.

Did you read the specific post? Because I am fundamentally opposed to cutting bits off a Wacom pen. I was describing the steps for the official method of adjusting the sensitivity and the offset...

Oh, you meant adjusting the potentiometer? I've tried that too, before cutting the nib, in fact, but I wasn't satisfied with the results. I used it with Note 10.1, maybe it works better on 12.2, but I didn't like it well enough to give it another try. The original pen still works best in my opinion and the Bamboo is not worth the expense.

Just curious to anyone who has this bag, how much room is left in the bag after the tablet is in it? Will it fit the tablet, with a keyboard case, a BT mouse, charger(s), and maybe a handful of odds and ends like a few file folders, pens/pencils, notebook, deck of Yugioh cards, etc.
How tight does it fit in the bag? It says it's for a 11.6" tablet, is the 12.2" Note Pro a tight fit?
I was actually looking at this one for about 50¢ more: ARCTIC MB201 Messenger Bag for Tablet/Laptop up to 12" Display , Water-Resistant Ballistic Nylon - Black

I've got plenty of space left (front and back pockets are empty besides the two regular pens, adapters, charger and notepad) for my small first aid kit, sunglasses, flashdrives, tissues, small make-up kit and other random rubbish.
Also, my sleeve's content: (I don't always bring the charger, sometimes it's in my bag or I leave it at home. Ditto for the keyboard. The rest is always in there.)
