ROM Questions - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

So I own an SCH-I545 running NC5 and ROOTED. I do have safestrap. Are there any good stable roms other than hyperdrive for nc5? Also, is it possible to install an MK2 rom on NC5? I want Eclipse really bad! Thanks!

There is a thread in general forum that has a list of ss kit kat ROMs.

[Q] Rom Toolbox Pro + ROM Darkslide SG4 VRUAME7

Hi,
I am on ROM Darkslide SG4 VRUAME7 and I purchased ROM Toolbox Pro so I can change status bar icons but it does not work. It will tell me that it did and it will show up in the ROM toolbox icon tab as the new icon but nothing changes. I re-booted etc.
Does this function not work with the ROM I am on or with Verizon Galaxy S4?
Is there a way to get this to work or is there a different .APK that will work?
Thanks,
Steve
I haven't tried that mod since froyo. And haven't heard anyone using it successfully on newer ROMs. Most who got it to start doing something boot looped.
The fonts option would great but only inside of aosp based ROMs.
There are lots of options. Search for xposed framework and the modules you can install.

Best ROM based on stock for P710?

Hi, I have a LG L7 II P710. My ROM is the V10H of the company Orange, Spain (Jelly Bean). I want a ROM based on Stock, KK, root, etc...
Here there are many, but I don't know what to choose. Which should you choose?
Sorry for my bad english
Amiga500 latest kitkat rom
If you don't insist on KK (which is very problematic in this device in terms of performance and stability), then I would say that Purified Stock 1.0 (JB based) is the ROM for you.

JB of LG don't like me. So, this ROM, Purified Stock, is in version KK? If in that version, do you recommend me?

Purified stock 1.0 is JB based, and Purified 2.0 is KK based. I haven't tried the 2.0 version, so I can't tell you anything about it. I have tried Amiga KitKat ROM versions 1 & 2, and they were OK for KK ROMs (didn't try the more advanced versions), but I reverted to JB ROMs after it turned out that all KK ROMs I was using (stock, Amiga and CM11) were inferior to the JB ROMs in terms of performance and stability.

I tried the last version of Amiga KitKat and this have many bugs... Is smother and the look is almost identical to the LG G3.
I'll try Purified Stock 2.0 and i will tell my opinions.
Purified Stock 2 gets very laggy over time...

You can't do nothing, try another rom, neutronrom (kk 4.4.2), purified stock v1 (jb 4.1.2)
As you can see, nowadays there are some great roms for our LG L7II. But also notice that some of them were created/ported and launched for download but, after that, their respective developers have turned into other projects so, you might want to test the roms that still have people working on it so you can solve the problems you can have while testing the rom.
I've tested many of the roms but in general the KitKat based roms (call it Stock rom, Stock debloated, or fully modded like CM) are always buggy, unstable, slow, etc. Of course they have great improvements in security, UI, etc but what I'm trying to say it's that it is not worth. Or at least you should be giving it a try to JellyBean based roms like the one neutrondev is making.
Of course the best thing about Android (Linux) is that you can always have a little bit of a taste of everything. Everything is possible. :good:

Galaxy S5 TouchWiz KitKat ROMS?

Looking for a good ROM for my S5 (SM-G900W8). Can't seem to find anything that's KitKat and TW based. Before you say "fk tw get cm" i need stupid tw for my gear 2. Please name or link me some ROMS. Thank you kindly!
Ok, let me also clarify that I absolutely despise material design and so I don't want to use 5.0+ I found a ROM called Omega but for whatever reason even it's KitKat version looks like 5.0 so that's a bummer :/

n00b needs errorfree-, stable-, fast-, bloat-free-, dark-, rom for Galaxy S3 i9300

N00b recently obtained a S3, rooted it with Kingo root & need some advice. on how to proceed next...
First of all i would like to point out that i have read several threads here in Q&A and in DEV and i must say the amount of ROMS and possibilities are quite overwhelming. That's why i am posting this Q...
Second: i don't want to switch ROM's all the time, i just want to install one good working, stable & fast ROM without the hassle of adding extra's, removing bloatware, try different kernels/bugfixes etc... It just needs to work.
Also i like to have: a dark layout for the Phone (saves energy and looks much better to me)
As little bloatware as possible , i just want it to be working fast & stable/flawless (i will install the stuff i really need myself via google playstore if possible)
Some Questions
- On my HTC Sensation XE i have 4EXT (with Viper 521 ROM), would this recovery work for the S3 or should i use someting else and why ?
- Which superuser/SU/else should work best with the S3 ?
- Should i use a 5.1.1 or 4.4.4-based ROM ? I have seen various threads and video-comparisons but none of them could convince me (besides the fact that lollipop is too bright & child-looking for my taste)
- Is there a stable & fully operational version of stock Android 4.4.4 or 5.1.1 for the S3 ? And if not which ROM comes closest ?
I would gratfeully receive any advice which ROM i should pick based on your personal experience(s)
Thnx in advance !
Slimkat 4.4.4 is recommended. Light, fast, no bloat and it has the dark mode you are looking for
Lollipop is no good for the s3 but if you are feeling adventourous you can try out either slimLP or dokdo project.
@cokesucker:
thnx for reply, i guess i'm gonna have to try...
Recovery ? Anyone else ? (read TS plz)
I'm currently using carbon rom kk last nightly from 11/2014 and ArchiKernel 2.1 old aosp. This is my daily driver. For recovery us TWRP always

Thnx :good:
Btw:
Why you think Lollipop is no good for the S3 ?
I was reading & watching (YouTube) some reviews about Archidroid & CM12 & they seem to be quite popular.
Any thoughts ?
Recovery Twrp
5.1.1 Rom ArchiDroid 3.1.4
Kernel Boeffla alpha 17
For a dark theme look at the play store and search for 5.1.1 theme

Deodexed rom Tab E

Does anybody has a deodexed rom of SM-T560? I find it really hard to deodex. I tried all tutorials.
I am running a deodexed 4.4.4 custom ROM based on the Russian a0k1 kernel.
Using nova launcher as the main browser and a lot of the Samsung preinstalled crap removed.
tell me how to extract it from my t560 and I'll wing you a link.
I'm still new to this android game, but I've semi customised it's ROM, installed twrp on it and as rooted working in harmony with link2sd, everything almost is runnable from SD without all that partition madness
It's got all the Samsung bloatware removed and a paired down set of Gapps, all of which are at latest update level.
