Has anyone tried this rom out? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Heyyy,
I'm thinking about flashing this with safestrap on NC5 but I have never really heard much about it. May people running this rom on safestrap tell me if it is totally stable with safestrap? Because it seems like it was not built for safestrap.
Here is the download link http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358541454. I think it is different from this post because googlie may have altered this one

I'm running it and it is mostly stable. It has a few things that don't work
1) The signal bar doesn't display signal strength. The bars are shaded gray but you're getting reception when it says you're not. It does say 4G, 3G, 1X, etc.
2) Dialer crashes from the very beginning. It sometimes works, but most of the time, you'll get the "Unfortunately, dialer has stopped working," error message. I installed Swipedialer Pro to use as my primary dialer. It has an authentic AOSP feel and look.
3) Tethering isn't working for some reason.
4) When you first long-press the power button to bring up the power menu, you'll notice that the phone just reboots! To fix, go to the ROM Customizer app, then go to ROM Settings> System/ Kernel Mods> Powermenu Toggles and enable all the toggles. (GravityBox can also interfere with the power menu for some reason, so I disabled it just to avoid any issues).
5) The Gmail app that comes with the ROM FC's every time. You have to delete Gmail from the /system/app folder with something like Root Explorer, and reboot. Then install Gmail from the Playstore.
6) Sounds settings FC every time. However, you can still change ringtones through call settings. Not really a big issue for me.
I know that sounds like a lot, but other than this, it's actually one of the BEST Roms for the S4. It's actually my daily driver and it's the only rom I've used that is closest to the AOSP feel and look for our phone (I HATE Touchwiz!!!) Lol.

Yes, GDux 2.0 is what I'm running though there is a 2.1 now. I did the slim I believe. It's there highlighted in blue text. Kind of hidden within his words instead of by itself. I'm running it right now. If you want it themed a little differently I have a zip that has everything I like in it. Toggle icons, wifi, data, and various misc. ones. The 2.0 version has round lighted toggles and the icons I like fit right in the middle of those. Looks pretty neat and it enables all toggles as well. I think you need to add a browser and maybe email. I like to put them in the rom before installing because it makes life easier.

Is there a link somewhere for the 2.1 version and is it confirmed working on Verizon?
How is the battery life? I've been most disappointed in all the 4.4.2 KitKat Roms I've tried along with Surges Base rom with the Android System & Android OS taking away a day of battery and an hour of screen time as opposed to 4.3 & Roms.

I don't think any of them can equal or beat a 4.3 but GDux is worth trying and yes I've installed it as well but I just prefer 2.0. You should be able to get it from here. They all have little quirks.

Blue Breeze Clean Rom

Now that some cool things for the Fascinate are starting to show up, I kinda pieced some things together from different sources to come up with my perfect rom (for today anyways ).
I have been running jt1134’s Super Clean D101 rom for awhile now. I found that I like some of the Samsung stock apps that were removed from his rom a little bit better. I found that I really liked the stock clock, music player, and messaging (with the swipeable features). So I added those back in.
Also added was the Blue Minimalism v1.3 Theme for a little blue, and the black notification bar with the see-thru drop down menu from the “Blackmod”. It also has the stock, non-puzzle, unlock screen with blue.
The kernel is stock with no oc.
Just trying to share what I like at the moment. I take no credit other than mixing up some ingredients on work others have done. The credit really goes to:
Jt1134. For that awesome clean rom tons of us have been using lately!
Raiderrep. For porting over the blue minimalism v1.3 theme (thanks to the original developer)
Stanrc. For the black notification bar and clear notification drop down menu.
DroidX007. For pulling the stock Samsung apps out for use and for being brave to test the blue minimalism theme out.
This is a clockwork recovery file. Unzip and put file inside into your SD card/clockworkmod/backup file and restore from menu. If someone knows how to switch it over to an update file, or show me how to do it, that would be great.

Here is in a .zip format. Hopefully that will allow to download directly to your phone.

Very very nice. I don't think I'll be flashing it though. I like the puzzle unlock screen and some of the bloatware that gets removed in this. I also like the neon blue loading screens, but I want to make them darker. I didn't think I wanted anything TW on my phone when I first got it but a few aspects of it have grown on me.
EDIT: We live in the same city :O I think I will flash this. I love blue. But what all gets removed, and what happens if I have certain things frozen with Titanum? Will they just be left alone?
Well man from the Burg, make sure you do a back up first of what you got before you flash any rom. That way, if you ever need to get back those programs, you are safe.
I dont use Titanium but I would assume the files will still remain in you backup folder. When they are frozen, the arent deleted. So as long as you keep that backup file untouched, you should be able to restore those through Titanium as well.
As for everything that is removed, the base rom is Jt's and you can see it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796171
All the essentials are there. Jt just removed a lot of the stuff that really was bogging down the system. He also removed some of the Samsung TW style apps and replaced them with stock android apps. I put those back in as listed in the OP.
Do a backup, flash it then you if you like it you can start adding anything deleted back into it with Titanium.
Also, in Jt's op linked above, you can get the puzzle screen lock back.

Alright. I hate the bloatware but I'm keeping it frozen so the Froyo update will be easy. I'm flashing now.
EDIT: Finally got it to run. Will this remove my lag fix?
EDIT 2: Why is everything wiped? I was not expecting that...
After restoring, backing up my contacts, and re-flashing, my contacts restored but my apps decided not to. But the phone just feels...faster. Do I need to restore, backup, and flash again?
Looks nice but I am not smart enough to make this work.

Use Titanium to reinstall all your apps. When you flash roms, you get real good at reinstalling your apps and settings. Hint, if you use LauncherPro or ADW, there is a backup function that will back up your screens exactly like you had it!
You should be much faster. JT really streamlined this rom. I love what he did!

Awesome, thanks!!!! How has battery life been for you? I have tried the deodexed version and it seemed to go down for me...so I reverted back to odexed. But, want to stay up to date.
Battery life on my Fascinate has never been the greatest but I didn't notice a difference when a switched to a deodexed Rom.
I've read the horror stories but not with my phone. Plenty of happy people on this forum who havent had a problem with the new deodexed roms either.

im lovin it,buh 1 thing tho i was really into the

where may i get that pls??
I would love % on battery...otherwise it's awesome!!!!! Thanks.
I have not tried this rom, but I assume its deodexed because steeeler is using Jt's deodexed super clean rom. with add mods and tweaks like Raidereps Blue Minimalism theme and other sources as well that he listed at the OP. It looks like it should be a pretty straight forward rom its just not a zip file so it will be installed differently thru CWR.
Cheers

Is there anyway to put the visual voicemail back in to prevent the dialer from crashing. If you touch the voicemail button the dialer will crash. That was my issue with JT's rom. I can't seem to get voicemail back in....
Otherwise this is a great rom. Thank you....

Good catch, first time I heard of that problem. I always just use the quick dial 1 to go to voicemail.
I wonder if it has something to do with the deodexing. This is a different dialer than on Jt's.
I'll poke around his thread to see if anyone has a fix

MIUI 1.12.9 Fascinate/Mesmerize Rom UPDATE..12/13/11

This is a build ported from a vibrant setup, some tweaks that dfgas incorporated into the last few builds, some extra tweaks from here and there, and extended settings built in. It is very smooth and fast after letting it settle in for a bit.
Let me know how it is for you. You can wipe data or just cache and dalvik...I do all 3...enjoy.
Thanks to anyone that has a hand in developing for the fascinate / mesmerize...the list would be too long to write!
-as of 1.12.9...
-#911 issue fixed (thanks sbrissen, dfgas, & anyone else involved)
-modified default transparent lockscreen...live wallpapers show through lockscreen
-new 1.12.9 Fascinate link...
http://db.tt/enasc1vs
-new 1.12.9 Mesmerize link...
http://db.tt/LHY0AeKk
-as of 1.11.25...
-includes Glitch V13 kernel with working 3 button recovery (with updated screenstate scaling fix)
-new option of miui app drawer
-pick setup, then enable, wait a couple seconds for drawer to load up, then swipe down from top of screen slightly lower than status bar to pull down drawer (almost right at bottom edge of status bar)...takes a little getting used to swipe area as it is very small.
-new options of hiding signal bars and headset icons
-new option of appdrawer background color
-new "on the fly" statusbar layout switching (no need to refresh statusbar anymore)
-new options of autostarting appdrawer
-charging animation it top bar fixed
Here is a link to the v6 supercharger thread...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
I would suggest installing the latest supercharger script...http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=792186&d=1322022964 and the app script manager...http://market.android.com/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager
Download both, change the supercharger scripts name from .pdf to .txt, install script manager, go into script managers options and turn on browse as root, then navigate to the directory you downloaded the supercharger script to within the app, click on it, select run as root, then run. Follow the scripts prompts, and as a suggestion, I use option 7. This makes the phone fly even faster at all times even with many apps open. I would have incorporated this into the rom, but the developer would rather you visit the thread to get it.
Downloading now. Thanks!
First impressions:
(Background: Wiped all three from "mounts and storage" menu)
Appears to be based off of MIUI Android (UK port of MIUI) as opposed to MIUI.US. Not sure what diffferences (if any) apply other than the bootani and background. Amiright?
Extended settings built-in is quite awesome.
Noticed MiuiCompass wasn't in there (but DSP Manager was...awesome again). Attached in case you don't have the apk and want to add it in the future.
MMS sent over 3G on first try.
I am not sure which market you bundled with it, but I always go in and remove marketUpdater and add back in the old vending.apk. (This isn't a criticism, just something I do that might be good to know in case I have future issues that may be caused by that mod...I know I am probably rare in liking the old market.)
So far so good. Now I just need to grow a pair and figure out how to swap kernels in the zipfile so I can throw Glitch v13RC1 in there; at which point I'll truly have my "Flash one-and-done".
Great work, Rick S. Can't wait for the full list of changes/tweaks! Thanks again.
Will this work on the Telus version?

Compass.apk should be in there, but thanks anyway. Basically if porting from a "stock" setup, roms wont differ very much at all, but another difference is that the reboot options are capitalized. I would love to have glitch v13 in there, but its not publically released yet. I do install it on mine though. All you need is the boot.img and the lib/modules folder...modules need to match boot.img that was built.

I wasn't suggesting you put V13 in there. I was just commenting on my own lack of courage to do it myself more than anything. Thanks for the tip though.
Been installing apps and such basically nonstop since install and listening to music on it. No issues. I did update to Glitch v12RC1 right off the bat as well.
So far, this seems to be about as stable as the 9-16 release which has been my fall-back. I've had the fewest issues with that one. Hopefully this one will be my new 9-16. (Will find out when I get home and see how it handles the wifi/3g handoff that seems to have been causing the most problems on the latest few roms for me)

I don't use it so not a huge deal.....will uninstall and install new......phone is flying.
Edit: Re-install of Google+ did the trick. Can't believe how fast and smooth this phone is running now.

Sorry about that...my gmail seems to work fine though. I used JT's 3 button recovery fix kernel because its probably the most used throughout various roms. It doesnt have bln. You can flash any kernel you like though and it will work fine as long as the kernels allows for it.

GSM and CDMA roms/kernels aren't cross compatible. The phones share a name, that's it, they're pretty different when you get down to the nuts and bolts (or silicon and copper.)

"Hmmm. I just had huge success flashing jt's 3ButtonFix.zip kernel over the 1.11.4, making big improvements in battery and GPS. But this is an upgrade, using the same kernel, even though my current ROM is working fine. Hmmm..." thinks the flash junkie as he tries to pretend he might not go ahead and flash this anyway.
Edit: Of course I flashed it, with the script. Running great. Overnight, battery stays in high 90s.
All I can say is wow!! This is by far the most responsive miui build I've ever used, running the script on setting seven as suggested running glitch v13 ml OC`d to 1440..very smooth, plus have all the reboot options again nicely done, thanks much sir!

I actually ported the MIUIScotland 1.11.9 ICS framework I9000 rom to the fascinate. It seems the only difference are a couple added files within the framework and a few files elsewhere, along with the version number in the build prop. Its not even worth playing with though. There are no noticeable differences anywhere. Waist of time just in case anyone was wondering or has heard of it.

Now on to porting galnet ICS MIUI?
;-)

[ROM][ICS] Senseless ICS - 5/8/2012 - EVEN MOAR AOSP

First ROM for me. Spent the day half studying for a Calculus final and the other half making this.
Overall I'm very happy with it. Smooth, Stable, and ICS makes it look great.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for what happens if something goes wrong. I've tested it a lot and it should be fine.
5/6/12
Removed a lot of Sense and HTC files. Not 100% Senseless yet, but I don't really want to break anything.
Added Apex Launcher.
Added ICS Boot Animation.
Added AOSP Browser, Calculator, E-Mail, Messaging, Calendar
Added working Sprint Voicemail.
5/8/12
ICS Status Bar and ICS Settings.
MMS limit raised and defaulted to 5 MB
Some camera mods.
Added ICS Keyboard. Not default yet though.
Bugs: - I hate bugs. They'll be resolved or mitigated when my finals are over.
Can't seem to find a way to enable 4g on the ICS Notifications...
Lockscreen gets in the way of picking up calls. I consider this a bug. Not a privacy feature.
Music controls don't show up on the AOSP lockscreen. Using LeeDroid's AOSP Lockscreen fixes. Not sure if wallpaper is supposed to show up or not though.
If you find a bug then please PM me or discuss it in the thread.
Todo:
Take some fancy schmancy screenshots,
Theme framework-res.apk, Settings.apk, SystemUI.apk to AOSP ICS. # Half done.
Integrate Leedroid tweaks in a week. # Not really necessary anymore.
Apply some speed tweaks. IMO not totally important b/c there's not much speed gains to be had with much of anything besides cache size boosting or overclocking, but maybe Android has something I've never seen before in an OS.
Not sure of the stability of the file host. Will actively search for a place to mirror.

Install Instructions:
When the leak came out, I flashed Freeza's firmware. IDK what the verdict is on whether or not it's reversible or not, but I personally haven't seen any problems with reception or what not.
With that said:
1. Backup your Data with Titanium Backup or similar. I would also suggest a Nanddroid in case you want to go back.
2. Do whatever wipe style you like. I typically do a Factory Reset and then a System wipe from TWRP.
3. Flash the ics-signed.zip
----- If you want access to 4g or like the Sense status bar or the Sense Settings, do not continue. -----
4. Load the ROM. I haven't been able to avoid the step for whatever reason. Most likely my lack of skill with update-script.
5. Go back into recovery and install the ICS Notifications.

Damn new roms everyday. Think I'll give it a shot.
One thing, the mms force closing. Does the message still go through or no?

It does not. MMS completely works from the stock app though and you can just disable the notifications from the AOSP one or remove the App with Titanium Backup or not.
I was debating putting it in there, but I figured that I liked how it looked so I might as well.

Ok cool. So I can use the stock for mms and the aosp for SMS if i wanted to go that route.

Totally
If its FC'ing and the Sense one works, then the aosp mms should probably just ve left out... I know I'll be removing it since its not needed. ROM sounds awesome overall, can't wait to give it a spin.

It only FC'es on MMS. I personally never get MMS. People email me their pictures lol and I also dislike the way the stock messaging app looks. That's why it's in there.

Thanks LS, I hope to be pretty productive.
Loaded the rom...everything seemed to work great except for mms...I did try to use both messengers and both failed to work for me....any ideas on what i may have done wrong?
Hmm mms seems to work for me from the stock app.
I'll make an update later and we'll see what happens.

Idk if anyone remembers empiires suprarom but after reading the description in the op for some reason it reminded me of that, using a sense base getting as close to aosp as possible with losing that sense functionality. Any chance this'll be laid out in a similar manner?

Yeah, that's the kind of style I'm going for. I'm going to try to get as close to AOSP as possible until CM9 hits.
I'm hoping this has working camera and all also? I've been waiting for a ROM like this.

Yes, working 3d and 2d.
Had to move the ROM to my server and it's not spectacular so if anyone could mirror it it'd be great. Since Megaupload got taken down I haven't found a good file host that allows > 300 MB.
I'm working on pulling this damn update together with what I want it to have which should theme it to almost full ICS. But the zip just isn't agreeing with me.
You thinking a builds later tonight or tomorrow?

I've Rooted my HTC One - Now what?

I've successfully unlocked my bootloader, flashed recovery and rooted my One using Superuser. It was pretty difficult and confusing to be honest. I got Titanium Back-up and froze all those stupid bloatware apps.
Now what can I do? I see there are two pretty good roms over here in the forums, but I'm not sure if I should grab one of those or wait for other better ones? Is there a "best" rom? Anything else I can do while waiting?

My advice? Take some time and just enjoy the phone. Its too soon for there to be
much going on in terms of ROMs and MODs. But they will come...
I generally get rid of the stock ROM on a new phone as soon as possible...but I have been
impressed with Sense 5 so far...gonna rock it for a while I think.
Check out the TrickDroid rom in the international HTC One forum. I've got that on my AT&T One, and it's amazing.

Appreciate the reply. I saw that one. I was having a hard time telling what exactly it does that is better than the stock rom? Anything you can tell me about it/ what you use it for?
Thanks.

One app I consider a must have for rooted devices is adblock plus. Get it and enjoy a faster, cleaner, and less data intensive internet experience. Just be aware that it's no longer part of the play store, and you'll have to sideload it.

I've rooted devices before, but never installed a custom rom. Might be fun to give it a try.
However, just to make sure I won't do anything wrong...I replaced my recovery with TWRP when I first rooted.
I'm thinking I add the .zip rom to my root directory, make a backup with TWRP, backup my apps with titanium backup, then just flash the rom and restore my apps? Is it that simple?
Also, should I wipe the dalvik in addition to the regular data?

Actually the list of improvements and added features in TrickDroid (and several other 1.29 based International ROMs) compared to the stock ROM is quite large, which very easily justifies the reason for bootloader unlocking/rooting your phone. Some of these improvements/mods are available over here in the AT&T dev section, and some are only available in International based ROMs (for now anyway)
Newer firmware than the AT&T base (1.29 compared to 1.26)
Supposedly the camera software in 1.29 is considerably better with things like improved processing for pictures; I haven't verified this for myself
That stupid permanent power saving toggle in the notification pulldown menu has been removed (replaced by a much nicer and smaller status bar toggle button)
The only-useful-maybe-one-time-but-is-always-there IME icon that pops up in the task bar (when the keyboard is being used) has been removed
For people that use Sense as their launcher, there are options to change the icon grid in the drawer to 4x5 / 5x6 instead of the screen wasting 3x4 default
There are very nice looking scrollable color toggle buttons in the pulldown menu for the normal things like wifi, bluetooth, GPS, flashlight, switching between silent mode & normal mode, etc. The toggles can be long-pressed to go directly into the options related to the function of that toggle
The stock messaging app has more options (custom background, colors for the conversation bubbles)
HTC has lowered the overall "boomsound" volume in 1.29 a bit, presumably to correct the popping sounds that people have experienced on earlier firmware builds including the AT&T 1.26 build. In my opinion, even with this lower volume, the phone is plenty loud and the speakers are still louder than my Galaxy S3. There are still ways to increase your volume back up again if you really need it (for example, the faux123 kernel has "faux sound" that can pump up the volume, among other audio tweaks)
There is a brightness mod available to lower the really high default automatic brightness settings a bit, to increase battery life
There is a mod available to temporarily turn on the display when an SMS message is received if the phone's display is off
There is a mod available to wake up the phone with the volume buttons (in addition to the power button of course)
There is a no-pin Exchange mod available for the stock email client that overrides the need for a pin # when connected to a corporate Exchange email system that requires phone security
There is a stock-based kernel available as a choice during the installation that maps the HTC logo as a menu key. Actually I think it really just maps a touch point on the display immediately above the HTC logo, but it is very close to the logo and actually works.
There is a mod available to remove the stupid 3-dot button in apps that still use a menu key. Obviously you would only want to use this mod when you've got something mapped as a menu button (either the back key long-press option or the HTC logo mapping mentioned previously)

Thanks for you post. My HTC One is on its way, and this is the ROM I plan to flash. Can you please elaborate on this last part?
Are you saying that there is a place on the settings menu to select a custom mapping for the menu button? and THEN you flash the mod? Doesn't that sound backwards? Wouldn't one flash the mod which would give you the option of a custom menu button mapping somewhere in the settings menu?
just be patience
it's take times to build a better rom for new device.maybe 3-4month.we can get perfect rom

I heard there's a mod to use the logo as a button. I would turn that into a MENU button.

Really? I thought for sure the AT&T One I had was 1.29. I have the DE now, and its 1.29.1540.3 I guess that would be another reason if you are paying full price to go with the DE.

NEW TO ANDROID! Looking for specific ROM.

Hello all,
As the title states, I'm completely new to Android. I've been with the iPhone for quite some time and have recently changed over to the HTC One. Everything is awesome so far, but there are a few annoying quirks I'd like to change to make it perfect. I've done a bit of research, but I guess my searching terms were a bit too specific? I'm looking for a custom ROM that is based on Sense 5 with 4.2.2 and WiFi calling so I can have the option to keep Blinkfeed, Zoe, TV apps and the ability to delete some of the preinstalled programs like Facebook and Twitter. In addition, I'd like to have the option to give the HTC logo wake device functionality. I believe this is done through installing the tbalden kernel? I'm looking at the Trickdroid ROM, as it seems that might be the closest thing to what I'm looking for, but in a video review I watched of it it seemed there was only a wake from volume rocker option. Also, it seems Wifi calling is unavailable at the moment? In any case, if there is something out there that you guys can suggest I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!!

I can at least verify a lack of WiFi calling on all 4.2.2 ROMs. We will have to wait for the official T-Mobile ROM to drop or leak to get that functionality.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
So once the 4.2.2 update comes out for T-Mobile HTC One's, we'll be able to have wifi calling capability with any 4.2.2 ROM ie. Trickdroid? Also, just a quick side question, I'm looking at the Trickdroid page and it says there is an option for the tbalden kernel, which is where the htclogo2wake functionality lies. Does this mean while installing Trickdroid, I'll have the option to install that instead of the stock kernel and have the options to map my HTC logo? Thanks!

To answer your first question, as long as the setup of WiFi calling is the same way as 4.1.2, then I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Awesome! Thanks, you've been very helpful! You wouldn't happen to have any experience with Trickdroid would u? haha
Trickdroid is great! I've been using it for quite some time and no issues. I use my cell as my work phone so reliability is big for me - and no problems... I haven't played too much with any of the kernels for the one but you will need to flash it separately. Welcome to Android!

That's good to hear! And thanks for the welcome! I see on the Trickdroid page that the tbalden kernel is an option. Does that mean it's already built into the ROM and that I'll have the option to remap the HTC logo or is there something I have to do along the lines of choosing it during the ROM install? Thanks!

If I remember correctly, Trickdroid uses Aroma installer, which takes you through an install wizard (prone to freezing so don't worry if it freezes, just reboot and retry) and let's you select a bunch of different options, not sure if Kernel selection is included in that or not.
Thanks for the info. I just wanna get all the info I can before attempting my first custom ROM install. That kernel is pretty much the biggest thing I'm looking for, this power button at the top thing is getting a bit annoying.. lol Also, I have an unrelated question that I'm hoping maybe someone here could answer. I couldn't find anything through searching the forums. Are the sound profiles on our phones customizable? Every time I change profiles, I have to change the settings manually. For example, I want the vibrate profile to quiet all sound and just vibrate for everything. However, when I go back to normal and switch back to vibrate, the sound for notifications and alarms are back on. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of profiles??
No 4.2.2 based rom supports wifi calling so far. If you want a customized rom, try viper. You will addict to it.

So if I installed a 4.2.2 ROM now, would wifi calling be enabled when T-Mobile releases its official update automatically? Or will I have reinstall the ROM?

no. you will have to wait for the update for the rom your on for wifi calling. as far as roms go viper has the most customization by far and arhd is the closest to stock but i recommend viper as you can keep it stock looking or if you want to customize to your hearts content and i mean everything is customizable. and venom hub has the kernels that enable logo2wake and many other options available. happy flashing bro:highfive:
Ok, Thanks! I'll definitely take a look at Viper then. Also, are you saying that it has the tbalden kernel already built into it? As in I don't have to do anything separate in order to use logo2wake?

no. in the venom hub which is an app for viper rom it has all the compatible kernels and when you select it. it will download it and boot to recovery and flash it(twrp only cwm manual flash only)
cool, I'll definitely look into viper. So you're saying that it's based off of the sense UI and looks stock until you start customizing? Because that is exactly what I'm looking for. I want to have pretty much everything stock with the exception of the battery icon in the status bar, logo2wake and some other little things here and there. Also, is there an option to wake the screen when you get a text or notification without having to use a third party app? Seems like such a no-brainer for this to be a part of the phone stock, but for some reason is not.

My favorite Rom is the Google Edition Rom.
I wanted some AOSP but every rom i tried had terrible battery life (like 1% dropping every 3 minutes) with just using web browser. I tried ARHD GE, CyanogenMod, AHRD Sense version, faux kernel, aux kernel and elemental kernel and everything was kind of the same. Now im using Sense based Insertcoin ROM and i must say that battery life is way better and got rid of most of bloatware
