Getting OTAs after you root/unlock? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

So according to this thread, a custom recovery makes it so you can't get an OTA.
Does that mean i have to flash a stock recovery? and because i removed some stock apps, i have to flash a stock rom too?

No, I want to be able to flash the ROM as you would a custom ROM from CWM
I am currently trying the dual boot function in Siyah and wanted to use the stock ROM as a primary ROM. I have cloned my primary ROM (Dragon ICS 2.4) to secondary and wanted to have the stock Orange ROM as primary.

How do you get OTA Updates from Custom ROM?

Title.
How do you get OTA Updates after, let's say, you unlocked bootloader, installed a custom kernel and a custom ROM?
Flash manually.

There's no other way? Like reverting back to stock completely?

You can get Sony OTA updates by reverting to stock and relocking bootloader. Custom ROMs usually don't provide OTA updates, though some do it via goo.im or ROM Manager.

Only if it's installed in the system, if you're bootloader is unlocked and you have a custom kernel with it, then no.

thanks but how about if my phone is unlocked bootloader then i flash official tft roms, will unlocked bootloader be locked again?
Your phone will return to stock as it just came out of the box if you flash the factory image via fast boot. Including kernel and recovery therefore, you will lose cwm. You can also lock up the boot loader again using toolkit.

Unable to install oxygen os updates

Hello guys,
So recently i installed hydrogen os rom on my oneplus x and its super awesome but when i heard of 2.2.2 update, i thought of switching to oxygen os. I restored my Twrp backup of Oxygen 2.1.x stock rom(non rooted backup and evrything stock), and when i install any update on 2.1.x, it fails. Please suggest anything on how to install 2.2.2 version of oxygen os..!!
I had the same problem. You need to get the flashable 2.2.2 zip version and dirty flash. When your completely stock it won't let you update unless you have stock recovery.

No you will still have twrp. If you want stock recovery you can flash via adb or app like flashify (root required).

Working ROM for Samsung SM-T211????

I have tried numerous ROMS, but the only one, that worked was a prerooted original Samsung 4.1.2 ROM, that was fully loaded by Odin.
All other ROMS are stuck in the boot process.
I have done:
Install root - CWM or similar
Wiped
Install ROM
Any suggestions for a Kit-Kat ROM, that is debloated and working?

Go to this link and download stock 4.4 and flash it with odin. Then reflash twrp and then try the custom roms. I think that you still have JB bootloader. Need to upgrade to KK to get the bootloader.

It reports not being able to "Update", so I guess it is an update - not an complete installation??

Doesn't matter I don't think. You have to flash that firmware with Odin and the device in download mode. Once it's finished you'll have stock 4.4 and the KK bootloader. Then reflash cwm with Odin, then use cwm to install the custom ROMs.
