Have you tried installing GravityBox for xposed in g2 mini?
Also, can we change the default navigation bar using some xposed modules? Cause the default ones is not so beautiful

I Have not tried gravitybox, what does that do?
Ive made my navigation buttons smaller, i think you can change those to tbh. Just dont remove them cuz alot of built in apps Will crash.

I use xBlast Tools, many tweaks and changes possible, most of tehm work fine

Xposed framework is working on LG G2 mini (dualsim). Root your phone using towel root, download and install xposed framework. I tried GravityBox(to tweak most settings, ei status bar and notification softkeys) and App Setting to grant full screen access to most apps). Everything is doing fine.

Anyone try G2 tweaksbox?

You have always the chance of a brick if you change things on your phone that are not meant to be changed by the manufacturer. There is nothing like a 100℅ safe solution.
The chances that towelroot bricks you phone are low, but I have read of some cases.
The chance that installing exposed does are low, too. But higher compared to rooting.
If you then install a wrong module or do a setting that doesn't work it can easily brick your phone. If you don't have your firmware and, as in your case, no working custom recovery with a backup of you phone, chances are low to fix it.
First of all I would try again to get the correct KDZ!

Yes, but imagine, where i can get the kdz from Argentina? no way.. even entering the imei cant get that. The only solution is unlock bootloader and install recovery and then backup system. And the i can get softbricks and restore for recovery. But there are 2 methos for unlock bootloader and if i get the wrong one i can get bootloop so, i went back to 0.

Yes, i know.
And we don't have an unlocked bootloader for the d620K model.
If you try messing around with you phone again you might end up with a defective system partition, phone wouldn't boot and you have a brick, again.
You want to risk it, just for some small optical of functional tweaks?
This is why i recommended you to stay stock until you find a way to get your KDZ.

Stock rom, I'm not sure....
As for the hard keys, I'm pretty sure they would be Home+Volume Up+Power
That's if you haven't installed a custom recovery on it

Bricked LG US760
Hello to all. I have a bricked LG Genesis (US760) from US Cellular. Can anyone tell me what steps to take and unbrick this phone. It was given to me and I just want to see if I can do it. Any and all help would surely be appreciated.
Thanks.
There's like no support for that device

I have a us760 LG Genesis. I rooted mine using gingerbreak app. Worked great. Very easy. Installed busy box using busybox from market. But you are right there is no support for this phone. No custom recovery that I am aware of. No custom roms. I am running Launcher Pro Plus. I have done a system clean using Diagnosis app from market and it seems to run faster. Elixir2 from market is able to set cpu governers and freeze the US Cellular installed apps. The only problem I have now is the external speaker isn't very loud. Which has been a problem for me on a couple of LG phones. I am currently looking for a fix/mod for the volume. With no luck so far, since there is no custom recovery available. I would try to install the bravia/xloud and see if anything changes, but again, no custom recovery. Any suggestions about this would be helpful.

[Q] Disable ongoing wifi notification with root?

I have searched and have been unable to find anything about a permanent fix for the ongoing wifi notification (not the popup, which is easy to disable). The SQLite fix doesn't work after a reboot, and killing the android system process doesn't work after any wifi status change, either. Is there a way to remove this on an otherwise stock rooted rom (the latest OTA)? I don't mind flashing a patch or editing system files....
I don't think that there is any way to permanently remove this without flashing a ROM. I would just pull the trigger and unlock the bootloader...then you can flash ROMs and benefit from all the features they offer.
Yea if you like the stock look there is always cleanrom but I think a rom is the only way to remove it.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
This on going notification was the one annoyance that made me finally flash a ROM. Nearly every other issue I had with stock rooted could be fixed with small modifications to either FlashBar or SystemUI.apk. Was really hoping someone would release a MOD to fix it, but eventually gave up waiting and flashed a ROM.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
No rom is needed. A mod can be flashed, and/or Xposed can be used, although a module will need to be built if it doesn't exist.

Are you aware of one that exists that I can flash over my stock rom?
How is it almost October 2013 and we still don't have a fix for this? There's not even an Xposed module! :crying:
I am looking for this too? Can anyone help me out? I flashed jedi rom x20, but for reason it make my 3d games play a tad slower. I would like to stay on the stock rom.

I gave up and went back to AOSP based ROM. When I switched to the Note II from the S3 (not by choice), I didn't realize there would be so fewer devs working on this device, comparatively. :\
can't you disable this in tweakbox? i forget since i haven't used that module in a long time

[Q] so, is there a way to flash from 532 to 290?

i'm on 532 (root and recovery) and have been for a while. i've looked at a few threads in dev forum and can't find if there's a way to just flash to a newer version or if i have to go the long way round?
or is it just a case of following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612980
asking as after looking at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569904
my eyes have gone funny
Yeah, just flash NUT's ROM
hmm, will give it a go this weekend then. cheers.
still waiting on 4G from Three and just realised i don't have an LTE option in mobile networks. think i might be on too old a version
Depends on what ftf you flashed to get 532. If it was [nut]'s one then I think it was based of my ftf so a non lte 6802. [Nut]'s rom is based of a 6833 ftf so will have lte
Sent from my Xperia Z Ultra using Tapatalk
ah, that would be it then. will try it asap. really need the added upload speed. upped 190GB so far this month and some people around here are reporting 10 fold increase in upload speed
well that went screwy. bootloop. flashed straight to 290 ftf which works and i have LTE but i can't root it. grr
trying to go to 532 again and start from scratch even if i have to use vroot.
Bootloop but everything works? Wut? Is it working or not? Can't you root? Is that the issue?
Sent from my C6806_GPe using Tapatalk
bootloop on flashing to 290 (NUTs guide) so went to 290 direct to recover but root didn't work.
now went back to 532 but that won't even pickup any cell connection at all.
i'm ready to throw this thing against the wall at the minute.
---------------------
binarys app didn't work for root so got it via vroot again. now to figure out how to get to a newer rom with room that can have working cell data
Ah, i get it.
my IMEI is blank now somehow. hmm
ok, flashed it back to 290, unlocked bootloader again, used the all in 1 tool and now that seems to have stuck.
have a 4g option, root and can download on 3g at the moment. if i can just restore my apps then the last 5 and a bit hours won't have been in vain
Wont have been in vain as you have learnt things...

LM, if i might pick your brain once more.
since moving to 290 my battery life has been awful.
i used wakelock detector and in the last 4 hours sonyericsson.android.wakeup woke my phone 4877 times
i found this but one of the notes mentions screwing up the device by editing build prop.

i'm not averse to editing the prop (had to previously for lcd density) but is there a better way you're aware of to disable this?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Ace Style(Straight Talk) sm-s765c

I have just achieved root with a tool called Towelroot.exe, now I would like to install a custom recovery but my device isn't listed in Rom Manager.
Is it safe to flash recovery from a device that is similar to mine?
How do I go about finding the right recovery so I can do a nandroid backup for my phone. I would also like to flash Cyanogenmod so that I may customize my device.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Galaxy Ace Style sm-s765c Stock recovery sucks
Anyone know what my Galaxy Ace Style sm-s765c compares to, I think it's close to the s3 mini except that it has 512MB ram and the s3 mini has a gig I think.
This stock recovery doesn't even have an option to make a backup, what the hell were they thinking. What in the heck would you do if something happpend with your stock os and you needed to restore it or something like that.
I would sure like some help with this, to understand why I just can't throw a recovery that was close to my system onto mine, How bad could it be would it really screw up the booting process? They all boot the same don't they? I would think it would be safe just as long as it's the same os version right?

would this mean anything? how would you go about disabling write protection?
Something else I was wondering the file system on my Galaxy Ace Style has an extsdcard and an sdcard, they have different contents in both,
Which one is my actuall sdcard? I think it's the extsdcard but I'm not sure.
Edit: Never mind I got it now.
I was able to download the stock recovery 7.5mb and stock kernal 6.1 mb with flashify, I don't know if a programmer could take these files and do something with them or not or if they are even the files I need..

Hi use towelroot.apk from towelroot.com and tap welcome to towel root 3 times when the box at the bottom comes up change the 1 to a zero so it will look like 1337 0 0 0 4 0 tap make it rain and the device is rooted, reboot the phone first and it will hold root.
Howdy yall...lol. I would like to let you all know I have decompiled the hiddenmenu.apk within the system/app folder and guess what if we can get to these hidden menus it has options to turn off secure settings, however it does require a key.......I just send an email to the samsung dev responsible for handling the keys, will keep you posted also I will post the dialpad codes soon so keep your eyes peeled here.

I thought S.O.P. was to get the OTA link, download it, pre-root it and then flash. Is there something about 5.0 that prevents this?

No. But I'm talking about people accepting and applying the OTA. Once the OTA is installed on your device, it's unrootable. The only way to root is to use Flashtool to go back to ZV4, then install TWRP, then flash a pre-rooted ROM.

Are there any modules yet for our device? I really want the tweaks to come !!!
To fix the smartcover problem flash this zip it will delete the smartcover lock screen widget but will still allow it to unlock the device. Also I have been emailing the xposed creator and this is what emailed me:
"Sorry, I don't have time to look into this at the moment... Maybe someone else has enough technical knowledge to check the logs for the root cause? The ClassNotFoundException for SmartCoverViewManagerService seems to be a good start, maybe there are other lines before that (verifier rejecting the class or something like that). Also, is that class even existing in /system/priv-app/LGCover/LGCover.apk?"
So maybe someone can fix it via this tip
Here is the link for the zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/how-to-xposed-running-properly-stock-t3030261 I am currently running it on barepop with no problems.
