Awesome XDA developers. I am seriously in need for some helping hands for my Tablet PC. I have got a China Octa Core 7 inch tablet pc with WUXGA display, MT6592 Octa Core processor, 2GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, Android 4.2.2 OS , 13.3 MP REAR CAMERA, 5.3 MP front camera etc.
So far the tablet is so good with Android 4.2.2 OS. The china company recently gave me an updated ROM for the tablet PC. The update includes Android 4.4.2 OS. I installed the firmware with SP Flash tool 5.5. After installing the OS, I was very happy to enjoy KiTkaT. Every thing were perfect.
Except one strange problem I am facing with Android 4.4.2 KiTkaT upgrade. I can take photos in 13.3 MP high resolution with the rear camera. But when I record videos with "Fine" recording mode or any other modes (low, medium high or fine), the video gets recorded in 640x480 low resolution only. I tried every camera settings did not work. I also check the "build.prop" settings & "camerasize.xml" settings. But nothing worked. For both the front (5.3 MP) and rear camera (13.3 MP) records videos in 640x480 low resolution where as the same camera take photos in 5.5 MP (Front Cam) & 13.3 MP (Rear Cam) resolutions.
But for Android 4.2.2 OS, both the cameras could record videos with 1920x1088 resolution when you choose "Fine" as the video recording mode. I am a beginner level developer. I can not get anything to fix the problems.
Can the XDA forum experts help me with this miserable problems. :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hello everyone!!!
First of all i want to say that i am very glad i came to know about this site.. Now coming to the point, i just brought an android tablet known as Simmtronics Xpad Freedom.. Although i am new to the world of android but i managed to get my device rooted and i also managed to get the nandroid backup of my device.. Now the thing is that i want the stock rom of my device.. Can someone please help me getting the stock rom of my device..Please dont make fun of me i know i am asking stupid questions and all but i am total noob.. Thank you

First of all, i just want to know..how did u root your xpad freedom? second...you just rooted ur rom...so your rom is stock only because u didnt flash any other rom over it.

I used Framaroot for rooting my device.. Yes, i didn't flash any other rom as there is none available for my device. It is a MTK based device (MTK6589)...Now i used MTKdroid tools for backing up my device.. I just want a custom rom can you please suggest one or can u help in making one...

Making a custom rom for mediatek devices is very tough as the mtk is very closed source. Anyway, i m planning to buy this tab, so can you give me the feedback of it? how is the performance etc?

Overall: Tablet with good performance.Value for Money..However if you are planning to buy a tablet mainly for shooting pics and stuff don't buy it as the camera quality is not that good..The camera quality of this tablet is like Micromax and XOLO phones..

Thanks for the awesome review. As far as camera is concerned, its none of my interest (i m not going to use it as camera). What about the internal memory? is it capped at 1GB for applications? is there any workaround?
Hi, I have an chinese Star/Kingelon/Orientphone A2800 with 2GB RAM, 8GB ROM, MT6592, with cameras: 5MP Front, 8MP Rear. I had Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and all worked just fine, today I upgraded to Kitkat and I noticed that I have only 1GB RAM, and the rear camera isn't detected, in the stock app, the Front-to-Rear switch doesn't appear, but I also noticed that the torch works, so it isn't an hardware issue. Please help me!

ive done some searching around for the original oem and i think i found it its made by Shenzhen KEP Technology Co., Ltd. and the original model number is K-Q701 it was oem to ooredoo under the name q7a+ here http://www.ooredoo.dz/particuliers/telephones-tablettes/details/tablette_ooredoo_3g and they bought it from here http://fr.made-in-china.com/co_kep-tech/product_7-qualcomm-Msm8225-1-2GHz-Tablet-PC-K-Q701-_eysnyenig.html and my question is where can i contact them help ?

i have modified rom INFOCUS M680 for SHARP M1/MS1/FS8001
INFOCUS M680 is identically has the same hardware specification with SHARP M1/MS1
i've try to install it on my device and success...
it works 100% on my sharp M1/FS8001
