Hi all, I've just successfully rooted my Xperia tablet z sgp321 with towelroot. My question is how do I install cwm recovery, I have a locked bootloader. Any help would be great. Thanks.

install [TWRP][PhilZ Touch][CWM]XZDualRecovery 2.7.1XX RC and you'll be fine.

Thank for the reply, I have tried installing said recovery, the installer went through the motions and at the end said, install finished -enjoy your recoveries. Nothing happened after this point. Tablet didn't reboot or anything. Tried again with same result. Any advice?

Flashmode is not used here.
Unpack archive, enable usb-debugging, unknown sources, plug in tablet and run install.bat.
Root is needed for install. If you don't have it, choose option 3.

Thanks, when rebooting from twrp, I keep losing root access. I have been booting with the disable recovery flash, should I select the 'no' option? Any ideas? Thank again.

[Q] Framework, bootloop, how to fix

Hello,
I have a rooted Iocean G7.
I wanted to install the framework module with the Xposed installer app. This was no success, I got a bootloop. After this I contacted Iocean, and I have flashed my phone with the computer. It works fine now, as it should.
Now my question is, how can I install the framework module without getting a bootloop or other problems?
Thank you,
Robert

That could be possible, I am going to ask to rovo98, if he can make framework compactible with my phone.
I hope he wants to do
On Tweakers they think that the Rom is not compactible, but I do not think so... You?

You guys know that Xposed puts a framework disabler zip on your internal storage? All you have to do is boot into a custom recovery and install it.

What root method did you do that didn't require USB Debugging to be enabled?? But yea, I dunno about that. You're going to have to find out though. You'll need the SP Flash Tool to work, whether it's to install the custom recovery, or to install the entire stock firmware.

There is a 'Super User' setting in Settings which I enabled.
I tried installing PdaNet but that does require USB debugging to complete the installation.
Isn't there a standard recovery mode on these phones that I can use (combination key press) to install a rom copied onto the SD card?

That's pretty handy. But no, the stock recovery does not support that. You might be able to get out of it just from doing a factory reset in the stock recovery, but it's hard to say since Xposed makes changes to /system as well and the factory data reset does not affect the /system partition, just /data

Flash the zip file attached using TWRP recovery and you are rooted. :good:

I must have missed some initial steps at some point. I've tried to install TWRP using Mobileuncle Tools and SPFlash Tools without success.
When I try to start my phone into bootloader mode, I get a warning that the function is turned off for security.
What am I doing incorrectly?
Thanks in advance! I appreciate your good works!

I'm sorry that it has taken so long to reply. Summer is crazy around here. Look up "chaos" in the dictionary and you will find my picture beside the definition!
My phone, actually today, updated to Android 6. So, I will need to root it over again. As soon as that happens, I'll get rid of that KingRoot bs.

To get root and TWRP.
Credit to Foltz61.
1. Boot to bootloader.
2. Fastboot boot TWRP-L.img
3. Install supersu-2.49.zip (even though I didn't lose root)
4. Reboot back to system.
5. Reboot back to bootloader.
6. fastboot flash recovery TWRP-L.img.
7. fastboot reboot.

You were eventually able to install twrp though right? Seems pretty straight forward and easy. Unlock bootloader, setup adb on comp, enable adb on phone, boot into twrp, flash custom recovery.

Nope. I missed that the unlock part was necessary! Thank you for giving the details though!!!!
When I figured that Device Only mode gives decent GPS use for maps, directions, and Pokémon Go I just decided to leave it be. Plus all this concern with root and Pokémon Go not working. I don't play much but I keep my phone as backup when my son's battery dies.

Is there some secure root method for Neffos X1 Lite?

Hello,
I am for the last days trying to root the Neffos X1 Lite no success. None of the main rooting tools worked, such Kingroot, Kingoroot, Root Genius, etc.
The rooted boot image that I've downloaded from the web left the device in a bootloop with glitchs on the screen, then I've restored the stock boot imagem.
Also no CF-Autoroot zip yet.
Any ideas?

Use fastboot to check status of your bootloader.
