WiFi speed issues... Already googled - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

So I originally had issues with LTE speed and WiFi when I first got the phone and ended up getting a HTC One M8 and kept both (I do development for my company so why not have more test devices I guess). I just picked up the gs5 again and updated the firmware and while LTE seems as good as it gets for my area, WiFi is still horrible.
I have the 300gigabit/second fiber from AT&T and a 802.11ac router with WPA2 security and my other devices get between 150gigabits/second and 250/second. My M8 just did a test and it was about 160 whereas this does between 40-60.
I know it has to be something with my individual device because I've seen speed tests on the forum that are what I should get.
Any ideas for what could be the issue? Using the stock deodex room rooted/unlocked.

[Q] Wifi and the recent ICS leak

I just installed the recent ICS leak and all's well so far, save for one little thing. i have an airport extreme at home, and while it appears to connect to my wifi, it's not listed on my AE's connected devices. furthermore, i still have the 4G LTE icon as well as the wifi icon. So, it seems that it's still using 4G. I've tried the wifi other places and all seems well.
Also, when i FORCE it into wifi (put in airplane mode, turn on wifi) it works fine.
Any ideas?
rats... was going to post a screen cap. i guess i have about 5 more posts to go before i can.
maybe now?

interesting... another AE at work, set up pretty much just the same, but i can see in the airport utility that it IS connected, but same result here... 4G LTE icon next to wifi.

.108 update to modem seems better on tmobile

When I first got the phone it worked great on T Mobile and the Internet didn't have any timeouts. Then Sony released an update that seem to screw my data up I can't remember which one it was. Then Sony updated again and it sorta improved but it was still flakey. It was to the point where I thought my device was bad and timing out since the modem must have been updated I was gonna send it back Sony.
Ever since this latest update I really haven't had the time out issue anymore I know it wasn t Mobile's fault because I use my sim in another phone to test. anyone else notice this? C6806 plus my speeds rock now. Not that they were super slow but inwas seeing 70mbps earlier

Sorry about my poor grammar.

It's false, the screen rotation is already corrected with the updates neither fast charging or wireless charging makes any damage because I had been use both ways and my phone was bought on the 17th of April and everything works perfect it's my first edge and I didn't plan on exchange
That's a rumor started by the good folks at LG
Based on comments on XDA, this problem is real, but no longer an issue as it has been fixed via a work around in the recent updates.

wifi problem

when bluetooth is enabled i get less than 1Mbps speeds but when bluetooth is disabled im back to 40-50Mbps. I use bluetooth and must be enabled.
Can anyone help? Only received the phone today.
:good:
I seem to be having the same issue, have you had any luck fixing it?
Yip I reset the phone and all ok now.
It seems the problem is back.

I don't think there's a fix, but I can provide some explanation. According to the FCC documents Bluetooth / WiFi share the same antenna. Bluetooth operates on 2.4Ghz just like WiFi. According to FCC they cannot operate simultaneously.

Bought a Samsung S7 clone, unfortunately...

Hi Folks,
i bought a Mobile on the bay and unveild now that it is a fake. The guy refuses to take it back, so i'll stay on it... :crying: Now i'm trying to do the best of it. It seams to show fake Memory specs, 32 GB Storage and 4 GB RAM, i don't know if the specs from CPUZ are correct because it shows only 1 GB Storage what is definitely not right.
The worst Thing is that the network Bar only shows EDGE Connection(doubt this Mobile connects 4G, at least maybe 3G) and i can't add my provider to the Network list. Now i consider to flash a custom ROM, what i allready made with my other Samsung mobiles. Bu i can't find very much about this device on the web.
May some one can give me Advices? Thanks!
