Anyone with a solution for this???
Plzzzzzzzz help

Open the contact you need to add photo to.
Press Menu (three vertical dots on top right)
Edit
Touch the buddy icon on right of the Name field.
Select/Take Photo
Crop
Save
Done.
If it crashes, then it means that you have some thing wrong with Contacts application.
Clear Application Data from settings and it should work fine.

Has anyone found an answer to this issue? I have ICS on Verizon GNex and would like to at least be able to customize the direct dial icons so I can distinguish them.
Thanks,
Steven
I use gingerbean, and bamf before that, and each time it has been my contact's contact pic with a little phone icon on the bottom corner. Stupid question, but do u have a pic selected for the contact ur trying to make a direct dial for?
sent from my bamf tbolt
I'm using SHIFTAO5P HACK3D which utilizes ADW. I just tried it out and after creating the direct dial on my home screen i simply long-pressed it, chose "edit" and tapped the icon in the edit menu. it let me choose from other icons on my phone and from pictures on my phone with an ability to crop. Hope this helps.

[Q] Sending Picture Right After Its Been Taken - From Camera App?

Any way possible to Snap a picture, and then when its in Review Mode or when you select the picture just taken on the top left, to share it via mms or email?
I notice only 4 options are there when I hit the menu button on the picture: Set As , Slideshow, Select Player and Details but No Share Option.
It's annoying to exit out the camera and the go to the gallery, find the picture, and share it from there. Anyone know a good work around to send when still in the camera app?
Thanks!

after you take the pic and you're still in the cam viewer, touch the thumbnail, then touch the screen on the pic (NOT the menu button) = done.

that Anyone can help me , where is the place that i used to replace the pict ?
Sory for my bad english

Hello novelino3p,
It's so easy to do, just go to Contacts app, and search for contact "Myself", then tap at the right corner of the screen, you have an icon to edit contact, tap and you'll get into the contacts editor and finally if you tap at the left corner appears the option to change the picture
Hope it helped:good:

What firmware are you on? Mine definitely lets me organise them up and down. I'd do a screen recording but I have pictures and names set in my favourites that I'd prefer the whole internet not to see

I was about to say "yes, it definitely works" - but alas, it only appears to work - after clicking the tick on the top-right corner (presumably to save), they revert back to their previous order.
FWIW, I'm using a Mate 10 ALP-L29 with 8.0.0.128(C636) firmware.

Same here. Once you tick the sorting is gone.
I just discovered this, after I had absolutely same issue with the same phone:
In Chrome open contacts.google.com, where you can edit and organize all your contacts.
In the left menu click on your starred/favourites,
Deselect all contacts that have, until now, been selected as favourites, but don't click on anything else after this.
In your phone, go to Settings > Users & Accounts > Google > [your Google account] and hit "Sync". After a short while, your phone's favourites should be empty.
Back to Chrome, mark a contact as a favourite (add the star to its name), then hit "Sync" in your phone"s settings, then check in your phone contacts. That contact should now be the first on your favourites' list. Then go and repeat that with the second and third contact and so on. After each sync, the favourite contact should appear in your phone's favourites in the order you have selected them as favourites.
Moreover, now you can rearrange them in your phone without the arrangement being reset every time you hit the check icon!
