G900t on AT&T no lte support? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

I have unlocked my phone and switched over to AT&T temporarily while away from home because T-Mobile is still stuck on edge where I summer. AT&T has strong lte in my area, yet I'm only able to connect to 4G. I've changed apn settings around and I know the g900t supports all the same bands as g900a... I'm assuming this is a firmware issue, any additional insight is welcome or solution if anyone is in the know.

I'll also gone into service mode by typing *#2263# in the dialer and attempting to manually connect to the AT&T lte bands, I get bars but no data.

I've also changed my build prop info so my phone thinks it's a g900a

Also I'm running beanstown nf6 odex Rom with nf6 firmware/radio.

You need to have your SIM card provisioned for LTE. You'll have to supply AT&T with an IMEI for an LTE capable device. It doesn't have anything to do with your firmware or device.

Have you tried going into the dialer going *#2263# and manually selecting the LTE band there?

I've called at&t and told them about the provisioning issue and they told me that my phone was properly provisioned in the system for lte. However, they probably just said that so I'd go away haha.

Yeah probably.
That was gOing to be the next thing I would have suggested.
Sounds like something in their network is not allowing it to connect then.

I went into att and had one of tnt worker scan in his imei for me and now everything is good, I'm not sure if he changed any of the digits tho, but I have lte now so that's good!

*#*#4636#*#* from the dialer. Go into device information. Change it there.
If you are on att they have it locked down. You will need root, some type of gsmpatch, a working toggle and kernel source. If not on att, it is easier.

[Q] Help!

I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what carrier will work my Note 3. I bought it for brand new for $300 form someone on cl. I've researched a lot but since I'm not on sprint i cant get it internationally unlocked to use it with gsm networks. So can I flash to use cricket or metro pcs without a sim card? And How would anybody do it themselves?

But I cant do this without first having an account with either of them right?
Cause as of right now, I dont have any carrier, would I have to open up an number?
Correct, you would need to set up service...can't just piggy-back on a network with a deactivated device.

Tmobile Diagnostics

Just found out today that Tmobile has diagnostic software @ technical support and they can tell whether or not your device has been rooted. They can also see what software you have installed, settings, etc.

That and in the tmobile my account you have to disable the "device check" feature.
Be sure to turn it off after visiting them. They turn it on sometimes. Happened to my cousin and buddy

Since you work for tmobile, it would be nice to get a definitive answer to this. Do they check knox when you trade the phone in for a jump upgrade?

I have mine flashed to Cricket, but only because I have an older CDMA number that I have been sitting on for years. AT&T just bought Cricket in May, so they are in the process of converting from the CDMA network to the GSM network. So that means all new Cricket activations have to be new GSM numbers and they are no longer activating new MDN's on the old CDMA network. With that said, I believe there might be a way to unlock this device for GSM use. I've seen threads about it. I'd recon all you'd need is the new Cricket APN settings to manually program for data, and I'm sure you can get a hold of that easily. I will have to eventually convert over to their new GSM network too, so I have been thinking about unlocking it using the methods in another thread. If I decide to do so within the next week I'll let you know how it turned out.

Yes u can Unlock it for any GSM carrier and get HSP+ or you can flash(manually reprogram CDMA devices) to any CDMA carrier such as Pageplus Boost Mobile or even old MetroPCS CDMA network..the GSM unlock is the easiest if ur not a custom to flashing devices[emoji4]
Can you help me do it

I do not believe this is possible as I don't believe the G900T has any CDMA radio's in it. But I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Verizon's basic functions (phone calls, texts, etc.) are on their CDMA network.
