4.4.4 certified for Z Ultra - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Now this is a pleasant surprise from Sony. 4.4.4 is rolling out for z1 compact and has been certified for z1 and Z Ultra. Let's hope it fixes the slow camera start up and the other issues we have faced.

Did it break your camera, or fix it if was broke on 4.4.3 ?

Oh come on! I just rooted 4.4.2, and now we're talking 4.4.4 already? Please give me tap to Wake and I'll give up root; otherwise, I'm staying on 4.4.2.
There's no point in an upgrade that brings next to nothing on the table...

Does somebody know where that app saves the ftf, just like PC Companion temp folder?
I'd be happy to upload it on uploaded, netload, rapidgator, whatever...:good:

I'm not sure how clearing 'google services' would allow and update for Sony's ROM
What you could do though is rip the FTF out of your PC companion update, and then post it here:

Tip: Tablet apps on Z Ultra directly from Play Store!

I'm not sure everyone is aware of this but you can install tablet apps on this thing directly from Play Store.
I noticed straight away that Play Store was running in tablet mode on this phone and hence tablet apps will be visible and you can also install them.
Love it!
Windows 8 Metro Launcher as an example. And Adobe Photoshop Express.

Meh no hurry really.. seeing some issue with KitKat (dat SD card mechanism, daaaang) and the flatter Home Launcher with no table reflection, i'll just milk the heck out of 4.3 for now. Yeah a newer software version is intriguing, but while waiting for the PCC, i'll just read reviews around here..

Edit... Ok saw it.
You're currently on 681 and say you've tried other ftf's, which other versions have you tried?
I would suggest if it's happening over different roms it's a hardware defect and I'd get a warranty fix on it.
Where'd you buy it? If you open the microsd slot and check the white moisture paper what color is it?

I don't think that is software issue.

Well, the root you'd have to do under 532 or some older firmware. The screen though if it's happening before it even boots into android is definitely a hardware defect. Rma time.
