I get an error when I try to sync my contacts with google sync. I had the problem on the original firmware, and it still persists after I rooted it (running rooted 024 atm). The error I get when I try to sync contacts are:
"The process android.process.acore as stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
Anyone have a solution for me?
Did you remove timescape? or Im guessing something else within the settings that ya really shouldnt have?!

I've not removed timescape, and as I stated this is a problem I had before I rooted the phone also.

does anyone have problem with their google sync after update to 2.1??? It seems like my google account doesnt sync with my x10....
Did you disable autosych? Looks like background data is not enough for gmail anymore. There is a new check in settings.
just found the solution on this...it is not x10 problem. It is android 2.1 issue.
So, what is the solution, then?
This is really strange.
My data does sync, but somehow I get a "synchronization problem" for both google contacts & for my FB account (via the official fb for android).

i'm facing a problem with my wildfire by syncing the contacts from my phone to the google contacts. i already found different threads regarding that case, but there was no solution yet.
Found out following thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=557075 but unfortunately it doesn't help me.
I'm using the mobile phone since about two month and really guess that it never worked properly. The syncronisation from google to the phone is working fine, but in the reverse way it didn't.
what i've done untill now:
-deleted already all contacts from googlemail and phone simultaneously, after that i imported all conatcts (which i backed up previously) to google again. Afterwards i synced them back to the phone without any problems
-each contact i created new, only on my phone will not be synced to google
-if i'm deleting any contact from google they would be automatically deleted on the phone
-i guess this seems to be a problem with the software, because other cellphone models of htc are having the same problem
i'm still using:
android 2.1 update 1
build number: 1.25.110.1 CL229476
kernel version: 2.6.29-6fb59e13

ive got like between one and 25questions to ask first.... there is one other option... just wipe the thing and let the google do its job. if your on froyo great. just ON COMPUTER fix up your contacts and whatever and save the account ON COMPUTER then wipe that phone. yes youll have to invest a wee bit of time restoring but that comes with the territory. google will restore what it restores.
any sync data u have now....is known to googles pushy servers. they push data rather than pull. which is awesome.

Hello i have downloaded the facebook app for the Lumia, but for the life of me cant get it work, as it keeps throwing up an error when i try to sign on, yet i can sync all my accounts anyone else having similar issues?
I can't really help but i had the same issue at first and now it's work...
So, today as i installed the new firmware 6.0.A.2.45 and tried adding the email accounts on the stock EMAIL app. The google account worked flawlessly though this is what i got when i tried adding a yahoo account.. YES! an unfortunate error *sighs* .. any suggestion??

I have a very weird problem with my phone. I googled my problem and searched the forum, but the result is none.
The Problem:
Sometimes, some of my contacts got mixed up with other entirely different contacts. I noticed this was happening since I upgraded to early leaked JellyBean XXLSJ.
Example:
I have 100 contacts in my google account. I have a contact named ABCDEF with his phone, email, etc. Then I have another contact named POIUYT with his phone, email, etc. ABCDEF and POIUYT are different people. But suddenly, when I searched ABCDEF in my phonebook, he is already joined with POIUYT without my consent.
This happened more than 10 times and more than 20 contacts have been affected.
Can somebody please help me what is happening with my contacts?
I am using WanamLite ROM v14.3 and Philz kernel, Jeebo, Dorimanx, and Speedmod. But I thought the problem is not in the kernels.

hmmm, I am not sure about what you mean with how are the contacts in my gmail account. Each of the contacts is normal, but sometimes, ABCDEF's google contact got randomly joined with HJKLOP's google account.

I've got my contacts synced with my Gmail account. So maybe the syncing is mixed up.

I too noticed it after I updated to Jellybean TouchWiz (currently using VarunDDLSC)
May consider switching to non-TW ROMs if I cant find a solution

same problem here with a Nexus 4. In my case it's mainly Whatsapp contacts that have joined with a different person suddenly. (Feel strange when your girlfriends messages appear with the name of a colleague !

Same problem here with latest cm10.1 nightly, although I have seen this happening for a long time.
Contacts get joined randomly, and in my case I'm using Exchange to sync contacts, so it's not a gmail sync issue.
I will try disabling whatsapp contacts sync, to see if this solves the issue...
