Hi everyone if this has been discussed before feel free to redirect me, OK I've tried framaroot 1.4.1. With no luck, poot debug apk no luck there either, I have no p.c. atm so I need to know if ANYBODY can help me root a d install cwm on this thing without a PC. I've done it with my daughters centura galaxy and hydro xtrm, I just can't make it happen with this one. Please help as I really love root and all the benefits it brings. Pm or comment I will reply either way and thanks all in advance!

Recently bought an android phone hoping it was on ICS 4.0.3 as it states in the About Phone. Just read through a forum @ forum.china-iphone.ru/viewtopic.php?t=24021 that it wasn't. Is there any hope this device can be rooted at least? I'm having a lot of apps which can install from Google Play but aren't working properly sometimes downright shutting down (ie. Temple Run). I even get the error 498 while trying to download some apps. Hoping you could help me root it.

Did you root your phone I think we have same phone and same problems and same need to root our phone share if you have successfully rooted your phone please reply THANKS I've tried many different methods to root my phone still no luck
sorry dude. i wasn't able to find a way to root it. unfortunately the touchscreen was damaged at one time when it banged on the floor. we had to sell it. you may try SuperOneClick root tool. had some success with it rooting other china phones such as the Galaxy S2 clone.

I am a noob in this stuff...

You can have your last try with pc.it won't let you unrooted.
You will find thousands of tut about this tut.

Hey guys, I'm new to actually rooting, but have read through a lot of the help and information sections about it. My device is the Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro (TCL 5042D). I've used many one click root apps, including KingRoot, and they all have failed. Kingroot has worked for some people with the same phone as me, but it does not for me. I am wondering if its because I'm on android version 4.4.4.
How would I be able to root this phone? Do I have to downgrade and then try KingRoot.. if so how do I downgrade?
I don't want to brick my phone so if anyone can help me with this, I would greatly greatly appreciate it.

I just got the same phone and It's a California lifeline phone and the phone doesn't have Android GO installed on it like most of the other lifeline phones do. I do believe that it can be rooted and I am trying to find a way to do it.
