3rd Party Watch Strap Thread! - LG G Watch

This is a place to show off your after-market watch straps (eat it, Gear Live ).
Whilst I haven't got my hands on the G Watch yet, or a 3rd party strap for that matter, I can at least see what straps you've all ordered. Right?
I'll be slapping this strap on my G Watch once the watch & strap arrive. I might also swap between the strap on my Pebble, that's a cuff-style strap.
Until people get their hands on devices, this thread will most likely be people just sharing links for straps. Once I'm able to, I'll be uploading pictures of my G Watch in various straps- And so should you!
-----
TL;DR, What strap(s) have you ordered for your G Watch?

I opted for the White Gold version, I haven't been able to decide what color bands would look good on the watch.

So where did you find that strap? It looks great.

I can't link to it because of my lack of posts, so just add dots and remove spaces.
I think they ship worldwide too, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar strap on eBay US.
EBay [dot] Co [dot] UK / itm / 271286147084

I ordered the Black G Watch.
And got this band coming in for it.
Have similar band on my Pebble but its a one piece. Going two piece on the GW.

I can't find this anywhere, what kind of watch strap do I need. I don't want to accidental on purpose order the wrong size

Just saw a video. 22mm from a rep

Very nice. What colour G Watch did you order?

Black ?

Ordered a cheap silicone strap. These are very comfortable.

EDIT: There are also straps with red/yellow/white/black stripes where the blue is on it. Might get the red one next.

I had the Red/Black one for my Pebble. After several months, it ripped off and I almost lost my Pebble.

I bought this one for mine http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/301069851082?txnId=995392229020 got the black one but just noticed its not coming from uk like it states it was :/

the only issue you may have with the black metal ones is that they tend to scratch easily on desks and things, showing the silver though from underneath, a lot of Pebble owners are having this issue. Its the only reason I have gone for a leather strap. It looks like a nice one though.

i was thinking about getting this one

Question for you, and anyone else opting for a metal band: Does anyone know or can anyone speculate how these bands will work with the charging cradle? From the pictures and preview videos I've seen, it looks like you have to lay the watch down on the cradle flat, so it seems like the closed metal band would interfere. Maybe you'd have you put the cradle on its side somehow, or put the cradle on the inside of the band? I really prefer a metal band, but I'm not sure how that would work.

I have that exact band on my own Pebble, and haven't had much of an issue with scratches. I'm pretty tough on watches (apparently I'm rather clumsy), and my band still looks like it did fresh out of the package. Maybe I got lucky with a really good band, even though it was a pretty cheap one from Amazon.

Anybody receive "The Clip" yet?

I see Steve is sold out on white and still doesn't have black in-stock. I'm wondering if anybody has received theirs yet and can review it.
I currently have P3 and it's been great but it's a bit of a loose fit so the camera and sensor don't quite line up with the holes, and the case definitely has an impact on screen sensitivity around the edges.
I'm hoping the clip improves upon those areas.
Thanks!
MC
I think I'm going to buy a Clip as well. Torn between a Clip and the M1.
I got mine last Friday

The tilt angles work great. I find myself using the second setting the most. It seems the most natural when you're sitting in front of it.

Do you think you can post pictures of all the positions. It seems like the position shown would be stressful on your wrist if you are typing on the on board keyboard. I want to order the case but I am hesitant due to that one thing.

Just got mine from Steve. It's white but it is the best case I've come across for the gTab. Love the way you can position you gtab in multiple positions and how it securely holds my tablet. Definately going to order one in black as soon as they come in.
Got mine on Monday. Short story: it's great. Longer story: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12500437&postcount=4
Great reviews and I think I'm going to order this tomorrow if the black ones come in. Just one question. If I have a stand like this:
http://www.thoughtout.biz/products/Stabile.html
can the clip fold all the way back to fit on this? Kinda like a spiral notebook can take the cover and fold it all the way back so that the front and back touch.
Just curious. I got one of these stands for my girlfriend and her ipad, was wondering if I could use it too.
Thanks.

I love the clip! i got the white one and I think the contrast is great.. I also ordered the M1 and love the black with white stitching.. if the stitching was a 2 tone type i would buy the black clip as well.. the positions work well and IF (big IF) you want you can open the side cover to expose the micro sd slot and the mini usb (at the right angle) but is makes me think the cover will break off while in the clip.
go for it you will like it..
Thx Steve
too bad the cover doesn't have a folding crease like the bottom half does. There is an ipad case almost like this (i own one and love it) and it allows you to folder the top flap back and make a small triangle out of it.

then i would be all over it!!!!

According to the site in the picture it is just a 3d rendering of a possible prototype so it is not an actual product yet that you can buy.
I've ordered the brown leather strap today, apparently they make them as the orders come in, I have to wait until next week for the shipping + another 2-3 weeks delivery... ouch... not the cheapest one either, but looks really nice. I've ordered via their website giphone(dot)ru, yes... it's in russian... and no... it wasn't easy
PS. I have no affiliation, will report what it looks like when it arrives.

Nice waiting.....
Well I got my dispatch confirmation with Russian post tracking number a couple of days ago, it took almost 2 weeks from order to dispatch, and it's supposed to take another 15-20 days to arrive, plus possibly a few days in customs. I love Russian ingenuity and I hope it's worth it but at the moment I'm not impressed.
Wouldn't the leather one with the easy call feature block the heart sensor on the back?
Also, does the brown leather one (second post) have only one hole?
OK guys, so my strap has just arrived, all in all it was actually faster than I anticipated considering the initial delay.
The strap is really nice, and I mean really nice, it's thick leather with nice grain stitched through with yellowish-brown thread. The thread holds the folded over leather where the clasp is mounted but otherwise the stitching is for appearance rather than function and it really does look nice. I like the embossed logo, it adds character and looks good, it should be on both sides, not just on the inside, but of course I suppose one could flip the strap around
The watch goes into the strap exactly the same way as in the original silicone, the difference is, when the band is on the wrist, there is a tiny bit of gap on top and on the bottom of the watch, I think it's almost unnoticeable, but for sure unavoidable because the watch is already a tight fit, anything tighter and it wouldn't go in.
Overall well executed idea with nice craftsmanship, definitely worth the money. Considering the current heat wave it was getting really tough to wear the watch with the silicone strap, I'm very happy with it now.
I'll put up a few pics in a minute.
PS. Here are some of my pics: https://flic.kr/s/aHskhH4X1r
PS2. My wrist is relatively small so I had to punch another hole in the strap, I used the leather punching tool so it's good, if you don't have one and your wrist is on the small side I would probably ask the seller to add another hole.
Nice review and beautifull pictures, thank you
At the moment the master is heavily loaded, the straps will again be available in 1-2 weeks. You can buy will be on my website http://giphone.ru/shop/kozhanyj-remeshok-dlya-samsung-gear-s-2

I picked one of these up off eBay, the black leather one with the metal ring to hold the Gear S. No major review since I'm not a watch guy, but I'll say it's definitely more comfortable and less sweaty than the stock rubber. The only issue I had was getting the screw back into the metal ring to secure the Gear in place - I did some industrial strength swearing during that long process. But I'm not great with small tools like that, so others may find it easier.

Moto 360 - 42mm Black - Band?

Hey guys,
I bought a Moto 360 2nd Gen in the 42mm Black variant with a Horween leather band, It was the only option available at the time as i wanted it asap, And i'm actually satisfied with my purchase however i'm willing to purchase a Stainless Steel Black Band, However i can't find any that is compatible with the 42mm Variant as it takes a 20mm Band, I'm looking for a Black stainless steel one that consists of a butterfly clasp,
However i was wondering would any 20mm Band work with my moto360 even if it doesn't consist of the quick pin pull outs for the lugs?

Ya, any 20mm band will work. This my favorite style of band, I got it from Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YA4L7HC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
make sure to order some extra pins as well, since the ones that come with the watch are attached to the strap.
For my 42mm I had gone for a cheap silicone band with quick-release pins to hold me over till I could get a proper stainless one. I figure for 12 bucks on amazon it's worth the peace of mind to know I'm not ruining the leather doing dishes or at the gym.
Got the 46mm since then, half because it was available with stainless
Get a spring bar removal tool from Ebay also, it will make your life much easier changing bands. I just bought one, they are cheap.

It's not a huge clasp, no bigger than any other watch. Plus it has the advantage of all the extra band wrapping around on the inside of the strap, instead of the outside.

I think this is the same seller that I bought my leather strap from. It looks like the same basic design. There is a metal ring (not ring, it's the shape of the outline of the watch that fits in the groove around the watch). It's hinged under one strap, and screws together under the other. Just unscrew, open, close it around the watch and refasten the screw.
If you're concerned about it falling out, there is no chance.

Interesting so in theory I could make my own straps using the mechanism? That's worth it to me
I understand why the strap costs as much as it does, I just with it didnt lol. $45 is a bit steep for me. I think Samsung really dropped the ball on this one. They really should either make other straps, or make an adapter, or work with vendors to make adapters. I guess the Gear line of watches arent popular enough for that though. Does anyone know if the S2 will have the same issue with straps? I haven't seen any being made for it yet, but it is still quite new

Do you prefer Silver Metal Band from Moto for 360v2?

Hello Guys, I've silver Moto 360v2 46mm with Cognac Leather. I'm using it very carefully but band is starting to wear out. I'm thinking to buy Silver Metal Band which is come with Moto 360 v2 from Motorola.
I'm sure some of you already have that. How is the band? Is it worth $89.99? Please share your opinion. Thanks.
Here is the link to purchase the band separately: Motorola
I have full black model, metal band. I like how it looks and feels pretty comfortable. But as it's made of small pieces you can add or remove, without any other way to adjust size, I can't have it the perfect fit. Other bad point to me, the clip looks pretty cheap, with plastic in it. Not sure how long this will length.
For this price range, I'm sure you can find a better choice.
I'll probably go with a strapcode.com band in near future.
Thanks gamin92 for your reply. I think, I should go for another one.

IDK if works, but is very comfortable. I have the silver metal band, silver clock and works fine. I sent the watch to a store to make the wristband fit in my hand. Is very good now.
The main problem of metal bands on watches are the dependency of tools to resize the wrist... or a watch store to make it fit.
