Where do I find the "mic" app in Android Studio - Online Courses, Schools, and Other External Resour

Ok I have been searching for awhile now.. I have got to the point of making an app and I'm trying to make a "mic" button you can press and hold or can press and it stays lit up ... like the app Voxer. I get to the point of defining the toggle button. I don't see a "mic" anywhere just audio codes. How would I go about doing this? adding the codes that fit or am I missing the feature? Thanks in advance.
I'm using the latest android studio, JRK 8 ... and trying to put my Note 2 as avd ... but using Google Nexus as target.

Some app like activator in iOS?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a app like activator on iOS. Is a multifunction app wich do whatever you want with a gesture o a press key , for example when you press at the same time vol + and vol - turn on the flaslight. And I want to a app similar in android but I don't find anything similar. Someone know something?
Any news?
Theres nothing in android but try to search the. Same. App in Google play

no luck
I have been trying to replace or recreate Activator's functionality since I switched to Android (2 years ago). I think Android just doesn't function similarly enough to get the same functionality. Activator & Glovepod (no touch music control) are the only things I miss about iOS. Android has so many awesome features though that I would never consider switching back.

Home long-press

Hi,
I know it's a general android question but let me ask it here.
Let's say I'm driving, using (just as an example) Waze as a navigator and Audible as a bookreader. Easiest way to switch between them is to do a long press home and choose an app. But is there a way to make it even simpler? Like I long press home or search or whatever and it switches between two most recent apps? Or some bluetooth gadget that swaps apps on a button click? I'm open for options because available routine is too much of distraction - long press then look and tap a proper icon?

As far as I know...no. But if that simple changing of apps distracts you that much...maybe you shouldn't be fiddling with your phone and driving.
With that said, android tablets have this wonderful program called "cornerstone". Lets you simultaneously run 3 apps on screen at the same time. Would be pretty sweet if it could get adapted to the note. Maybe just 2 apps at a time.

Pity...
In fact, there are more possibilities than Home button. Waze beta voice command mode is being triggered by waving a hand (proximity sensor?). Good idea for someone to write a task switcher - you wave a hand, and it switches applications!

Remap App Switch To Menu

So ive been search around for a while now on how to fix this. And to anyone that chimes in and says why do you need the menu button obviously you don't use older apps, the new touch button on the screen is a huge annoyance especially since i've used my phones this way since my first S1. Regardless this is how i want it and so do many other people.
Currently this is only for a rooted phone
I have figured out how to remap the left soft key from the App Switcher/Multi window over to the old style menu key. Instructions for that can be found here
But now i don't have any way of switching to my currently open apps, after remapping the left key, the longpress now takes you to search. and long pressing on the home button also takes you to another variation of the search (both i dont use nor want). I want to be able to remap my left softkey on longpress to open up currently open apps (APP_SWITCH) and it would be nice if long pressing on Home could open the Task Manager as it did on my S3.
As far as i can tell editing of the longpress function is done via a Policy edit. Read about that HERE
Keep in mind that post is from 2014 so i have no idea if the internal code is still being handled the same way, i couldn't even find that file on my S6, but i did find a file called SEPOLICY in my root folder using ROOT EXPLORER. Do any of you know more about this and how I can go about changing this? im sure its a code level adjustment. Thanks
Long-press home button can be controlled without root easily.
Check out this app:

I use the long-press home to get to my last used app.
I wonder if I can remap my buttons to launch any other apps.. Will have to tinker around a bit.

very useful. menu for navigation is long long outdate. software nave or 3 dots is the customary way to go. adding a secondary menu button is redudant and unnecessary. my little ewww comment brought a lot to the table. you tryingt to call me out on it is less useful.

lol f off
If you guys use Dropbox, how do you get to the menu with SORT, etc.. without a menu key. This is making me crazy. I'm using nova launcher and there is no floating menu key. ????
The problem is if not every developer uses it, it's inconsistent.
It often helps if the options etc. In apps are on the top, so you don't have to fidget with your phone to reach the top or use two hands.
The menu button on every app is positioned somewhere else, so I find the op wanting it justified.
All in one gestures let's you remap every key, for some odd reason on my s4 I can remap the menu key, but on the S6 for some odd reason the option of the menu key has vanished in the same app:what:

Hi pal. Hope it helps. Make 254 button remap, then install nova launcher, in tab gestures select long press menu and then recent app. Profit! Now once tapped you have menu button, long pressed - recent apps.
So, i made it, i use it. It works.

Using Shortcut Key For Camera Shutter

It seemed to me to be a massive oversight that the shortcut key could only be used to open apps & not perform actions within apps such as use as a camera shutter key.
With a bit of playing around with tasker, auto input & tasker app factory I now have something that works for me as a camera shutter key. This obviously opens up many other possibilities.
My question is has anyone else tried anything similar & would anyone mind trying the attached app? I'm still learning with tasker so I'd like to know if the created app would function as a standalone for people who don't have tasker or autoinput installed.
To test once installed select the app as the shortcut key setting then open the stock camera app & press the shortcut key.
Thanks in advance to anyone that trys it.

Wow, that's really good. It could be fantastic using that key to use Now on tap without the virtual navigation bar
Edit: I've just try it with the camera app and is not working to me
Thanks for the feedback. I've not actually used the now on tap function yet but unless Elephone change how you can assign the button this seems like the best method for making it do what you want. Tasker's really versatile but I'm still learning so I know a lot of the stuff I do is a bit clunky. Personally I want it to be multi function so when the camera's open it's the shutter button but when it's not then I can use it for media control i.e. press once for pause, twice for skip track, 3 times for back track.

That probably means you do require the autoinput plugin then. I've been playing around with now on tap & have managed to get it to work when you click on the app button I created but when it is assigned to the shortcut key it doesn't. It definitely needs the autoinput plugin with the method I've used. Going to make some posts in Tasker threads when I get chance to see if I can get suggestions on better ways to do it.

Did this move on any further? I wanted to give it a go, but the Google drive link isn't working.
As you say, massive oversight on the part of Elephone. I hadn't even thought of trying to use tasker.

Unfortunately not. The issue with exporting tasker things to an app is to install it on another phone you require all of the appropriate plugins used within the task. It's certainly possible to do things with the shortcut key using tasker but I found most of the solutions convoluted for such a simple result so gave up on it.
Thanks for the reply. It's a shame to hear it was so convoluted to achieve, but thanks for trying.
I've been using Camera Zoom FX, if you set the exposure to +3 it gives comparable results to the stock camera app. The advantage of this app is that you can use the volume rocker as a hardware button to take pictures via an optional setting. There is a free version of this app as well I think, but I don't know its limitations. I think the functionality exists in some other camera apps too, including Google Camera, the thing is that most apps seem to have a noticeable reduction in quality vs the stock app.
I know it's not quite the result you were aiming for, but I hope that the information is of some use to somebody.

Help Changing Android Navigation Buttons

I'm looking for a way to swap my back button from the left to the right side, but while still using the the 2 button / "swipe up on home" navigation setting. I used to use the app Custom Navigation Bar by paphonb, but that broke in android 10, and I haven't seen a replacement since. I feel like I may just be overlooking the obvious solution, but as my phone offers no option to swap the button, and since I haven't found another app that works for this purpose, I'm not sure how to swap the button over.
I am using the ROG Phone 2 running stock Android 10. Thanks for any help or advice you can give!
