Nice!
Can you tell me how long it takes to copy file over wifi?
I had an idea to do this with the files manually copied to the usb drive. I wanted the instructions to be where the user copies the script file to a thumb drive along with one or all of the bueller.xxxxx.bin files. the script does a list of bin files in current director and and lists them with numbers and waits for user to enter a number to select the file of choice (this allows for downgrading also.) it then performs actions. chmod, echo then cp and reboot in the script file. this should be rather easy for someone who has scripting skills with input & variables in android.

update.zip Did Not Convert
I copied this firmware update, bueller-ota-51.1.1.0_user_511069920-signed.bin, to the Fire TV Firmware Restore Tool and renamed it to update.zip. I did not get the popup regarding changing the extension. And the update.zip file remains with a .bin extension as seen below. Any ideas on why it did not convert?

Just wanted to chime in and say thanks, I had tried to do the manual upgrade one my 2nd fire tv and it was not working for some reason, this did the trick and was easy to use. Ended up getting the firmware updated and the remote upgrade for both my fire TV's so thanks for this!

glad you like the tool i am thinking about expanding it to do more. we will see

Will this work?
I set Windows 7 to show extensions for known file types. I then changed the name to update.zip and it converted to a compressed zip file. Below is what is showing in the Fire TV Firmware Restore Tool.
And below is the content of the update.zip folder.
Can I proceed with the firmware upgrade? I am somewhat concerned because your video shows the update.zip file type to be to be "ZIP File" where as my file type is "Compressed (zipped) Folder (.zip)" .

Finally Have The New Firmware Update
Took the plunge with Amazon Fire TV Firmware Installer Tool and installed the latest firmware update. It worked like a charm. It really bothered me that this update was taking so long to arrive and now I finally have it. BTW, you will also have immediate access to the remote control firmware update as well, by going into KFTV settings. Thanks for providing a video tutorial and the tool necessary for achieving this milestone for me.

yes busybox free should be fine

Any chance you can add in StickMount and moving apps to an external drive? Thats the next big thing I want to do. It would be awesome if it could be automated, then I could install XBMC as my dashboard and be all set. Im holding off installing XBMC just because there is so little storage space on the FireTV.

Hey there this seems like a great tool! But, having a bit of an issue right now. My FTV is rooted with busy box installed. I ran the firmware update tool and everything seemed to go as planned, but my FTV in recovery said the update not successful and rebooted into the old firmware. Now I do have Xposed installed with some modules and XBMC launcher also installed and running. I also have the OTA update also disabled. Would these things cause this error? Any help is much appreciated! Cheers

I used version 2 of the tool and it worked GREAT!!!! I will say it DID take a while to upload the firmware to the point I thought something went wrong. It took about 23 minutes before I saw the install screen on my TV...BUT it DID work!!!!!!! Thanks for making this script!!!

Is there a tutorial on how to root the G3 via a Mac? This will be my 2nd time rooting but 1st time on a mac if it's even possible.
I'm a foreigner to rooting by the way lol.
The root guide above works with Mac.
Sent from my VS985 4G using XDA Free mobile app
So I'm attempting to root my Verizon G3 and I can't get past an early step.
I download the zip and extracted it to my desktop as instructed. When I open the folder and click the ioroot.bat file, instead of opening the script, I get this error:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
Any advice on what's going on?
If I attempt to open the file from the zip without extracting, it will open the script, but when I press "any key to continue", the script flashes some text at the bottom of the window and then closes almost immediately before I can see what it says.
Hoping someone can help me out. I'm somewhat a novice but have rooted many Androids before including Galaxy S3's, Note2's, HTC One M7, HTC Evo and Evo3D. This one's got me perplexed.
Thanks!

Looks like you're not in an Administrator account and don't have access to certain folders. I named my computer "Precious" and that account is the Administrator. My path to desktop looks like this:
C:\Precious\Desktop\ioroot
I'm thinking this is your problem and is why tutorials/How-To's for Android adb/fastboot tell you to be at the root folder ie: C:\Android, C:\adb, etc. However, running something like ioroot at the Admin desktop is sufficient.

Well it appears there just isnt an ioroot.bat in that folder you extracted. Not really a permissions issue. Maybe you/pc missed a file when you extracted.
Edit: or just add the .bat extension back to the file that seems to be missing. Your other files are showing their extension.

It's cut off on the right, but the zip included all the files needed for someone wanting to root from a Windows, Mac or Linux machine. The file labeled simply "ioroot" in my picture above is the .bat file. You can see all the way to the right it starts to say "Windows Batch File" before it was cut off by my screen capture. So the file is the .bat file that Windows runs. I also tried your suggestion about adding the .bat to the ioroot file and that didn't work either...
The user profile I am under on this computer IS an administrator profile and I've also tried to "right click - run as administrator" and that didn't work.
I tried downloading the Zip again and that didn't work either. So I'm still stuck with nothing working.
I'll try to do it on a different computer when I get a chance.
Thanks for yall's replies

How do I do this on a Mac? Ugh!
Got my G3 rooted and tether working with no problems! Thanks @owenbeals
Sent from my VS985 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Works fine.
Worked. The only (minor) hiccups I had were:
1. I had to use the msi version of the drivers (in the link as well, but not first)
2. At some point the usb connection switched back to MTP so when I was running the BAT file nothing was happening. As soon as I switched the usb connection back to Ethernet, the process kicked right in.
The side-load worked automatically for me (in the video, the demo showed the person having to manually side-load a file). If your pc process shows side-load 100%, just choose the reboot option on phone and finish by installing SuperSU, as the video says, and you are done.
Thanks, this was easy. I can't stand having a phone w/o root.

By default, Windows sets "Folder Options" to "Hide file extensions for known file types". As an information security professional, this is the stupidest thing ever. MS is trying to keep their tech support calls down by keeping people from seeing (and also editing/deleting) their file extensions). However, there are plenty of viruses out there that take advantage of this "feature".
My advice to anyone reading this thread (if you haven't already), is to go to Folder Options and uncheck the box that hides file extensions for known file types. Just be careful when renaming files. You'll be fine!!

This may help you.
But first, root your device like in post #2.
Could somebody rewrite the tutorial in good english, please?
Z9 Mini just got delivered
Has anyone managed to get Google services/Play Store etc installed and running yet?
OK, I have done it, it's about as simple as it gets.
Install TWRP
Flash the root package/SuperSU from TWRP (even though it's in Chinese, the buttons are in the same place as if it were in english, so easy to work out where "Install" is!
Flash gapps-lp-20150222-signed.zip
Reboot
Add your google account details in accounts, fire up Play Store and let it update everything - job done.
Remove SuperSU if you want to use banking apps etc.

Which TWRP do you used?
Used Chrome, so google translate did the hard part.
I downloaded MoboRobo, so the laptop picked up the phone and installed the correct drivers
TWRP:-
won't let me post the link - I've not made enough posts apparently
Once the phone is seen by the computer (thanks to moborobo), extract the zip file and run the batch file within it as administrator.
ROOT:-
won't let me post the link - I've not made enough posts apparently
Download the package and copy the zipfile either to the internal memory, or bung it on a microSD and shove it into the phone.
In TWRP (accessed by powering off the phone, then on again whilst holding Volume +) press the top left "button" which if in English would be "Install", select the zip file and drag the swipe to the right to start it. Then it's the bottom right big button to reboot.
GAPPS (same procedure as applying root, just pick the correct ZIP):-
won't let me post the link - I've not made enough posts apparently
Then job is a good-un!
Does that help?

TWRP 2.8.6.0 in English
For easier handling I translated the Recovery into English - some words might not be that accurate, but the meaning behind it should be ok to understand all buttons
Boot into fastboot mode and use "fastboot -i 0x19d2 boot recovery_Z9mini.img" to test the recovery without installing it. Doing so I installed the gapps package without loosing the OTA update feature.
See download in the attachment and let me know if there is any problem!

The following way worked for me. There are also other ways to do it, e.g. via ADB.
* First of all you have to install the correct USB-drivers for your phone
* Enable USB debugging
* Download the platform tools (or whatever they are called in different forums) => adb.exe & fastboot.exe plus a few other data, which are usually all in the same package
* Reboot into bootloader
* Connect your phone to USB
* Open a command prompt
* If you only want to test the custom recovery use "fastboot -i 0x19d2 boot <image.img>" (depending on your Android version you may leave the word recovery away)
* If you want to directly flash the custom recovery use "fastboot -i 0x19d2 flash recovery <image.img>"
Another way is:
* Download the Chinese one-click-tool package from post 3 or 4 above
* Extract its contents
* Replace the original image file with my image file
* Run the one-click-tool and flash the recovery

Can i do this without ROOT, or do I have to root the device first?
In case I have to root it first, how to do it? And how to Reboot into bootloader?
Im just a beginner and would need it step by step.
Thank you!!!!!!
I also translated the Chinese one-click tool. You can download it from Zippyshare. Extract that file in one folder and start "ThemePush.bat". You will get the attached menu to install drivers, root your device and try or install TWRP.

M8s mini II root link (baidu) please help download

Hi,
I contacted gearbest to root my TV box and they sent me a link from Baidu. I tried to download it but I can't because it want a Chinese number to register. Somebody can download and upload on mega or something else the Rom? Thanks

However, this version is not pre-rooted, it is the latest release as of now (rel. date 2016-07-19).
To update:
Extract the 3 files (update.zip, factory_update_param.aml & recovery.img) to the SD Card
start the "update / backup" app on your box
select the update.zip and confirm
box will restart and install the new firmware
other version pre-rooted?
I try to find to root this tv box but i loose my time.

All releases so far are not rooted. You can gain root access via ADB though.
I used adbLink to open the shell & "mount -o remount,rw /system".
Deleted the bootanimation and other things to test if it actually works... it does.
Editing the build.prop is also possible (ro.adb.secure=0, ro.secure=0, for example).
I tried to install my own version of TWRP 3.x, the command was successful ("dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p6") but it didn't stick and the stock recovery was still active.
Since it's Marshmallow, I wasn't able to manually recreate the systemless root method.
I'm not going to try further for now, waiting if they will release an update, etc.
Bingo,
Can you make a root installer for this device or do we need chainfire to make a new SuperSU? I have 50 units that I need to root but can't find an installer. I need it for Titanium Backup to restore my custom setup.

I'm looking into it, but with my limited knowledge, most approaches seem to be a dead end due to Marshmallow. (It's also my first box ever bought in general...)
I already have my custom TWRP img ready, but it doesn't stick when I flash it.
ADB says it was "dd" successfully but rebooting straight to recovery brings up the stock recovery.
I hope someone beats me to it. ^^
I also wrote an inquiry, asking for an IMG file, so I can use with the customization tool... I don't think they have one ready yet...
And those twats sitting on the source files and can't poop out an alternative variant of the firmware with root? Beetch please.
AFAIK, all boxes with Android 6 are in this state (looked at some other firmwares).
The old tricks from Lollipop don't work here anymore, like booting a custom recovery.img from SD, etc.
edit: can't mount "sbin" as RW (ofc. knowing where it's coming from)
edit: tried an old signed ZIP (root update for Android 4.x) via stock recovery: it went through, verified... I'm afraid this won't work with a custom ZIP trying to recreate latest SuperSU install method...

SuperSU would work "ootb" but the stock firmware has no 'unzip' in 'sbin', so the original script will fail.
And since we don't have a custom recovery that can support 'unzip'. that's another dead end.
I tried flashing 3 different versions of my custom recovery zip (with diff. timestamp, etc).
They all went through without error but the device isn't even bothered, still brings up the stock recovery.
I also modified the original update.zip that contains the whole firmware with all partitions and just replaced the recovery.
Signed it, flashed it, no error, reboot... yup, stock recovery is still there. ^^
edit: small progress, I can now update the recovery... as proof I changed the "error pic" with the little droid and wrote something nice on it ^^

Awesome Bingo Bronson! At least it's a start. Now if only we could get TWRP working on these... I've tried all the S905 TWRP img files available but no joy yet, at least not booting from microSD card. Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been rooted on several smart phones; can we learn something from those methods and maybe hack together a working root?

SDK 23 devices do things slightly different, yes, but the main reason for the old images not working is (ofc. ^^) the ramdisk cpio and the small but important differences in the hardware (boards) and the according references in the files.
I'm going through the ramdisk cpio piece by piece as we speak, takes "a while" for users like me...
Let's hope it will at least boot with an error and not just flicker and remain on the "Google TV" bootloader screen.
I'm editing the stock recovery from 2016-07-28 (language fix update).
If I fail numerous times, I will get on my knees and send Abdul the files and some monayyy. ?
edit: calling it a day... will continue tomorrow afternoon (GMT+1 ^^)
So basically if someone can get TWRP to boot on these then root should be fairly easy? I guess the only road block after that would be getting sbin mounted rw so we can install the SuperSU binary.

I've used systemless root on a number of 6.0.1 devices... Qualcomm, MTK... based one the arch. this one should work just as well.
'sbin' is part of the ramdisk, so it's always 'ro' (hence: "knowing where it's coming from" ^^) so no need to try to force anything here.
Btw. that was the default 'sbin' from the stock system, the 'sbin' from a custom recovery has all the goodies on board.
Ramdisk: applying the changes necessary for TWRP is not that difficult, just need to finish the matching ramdisk cpio...
That being said, I haven't gotten anything done since my last post which is annoying... had to work on "non Android" related things.
Currently rechecking the blocks & partition table, so everything can be mounted properly (given it boots up ^^).
Any updates?
Eager to get this.

I gave up with slapping it together manually, I may try again on the weekend when I'm able to use my Linux PC again and build it from source like it should be done...
If you want to try, your updater-script can look like this:
Code:
set_bootloader_env("upgrade_step", "3");
write_raw_image(package_extract_file("recovery.img"), "recovery");
show_progress(0.200000, 10);
set_bootloader_env("upgrade_step", "1");
set_bootloader_env("force_auto_update", "false");
I had the fstab files edited with the info from the block & partitions report but no success so far.
( I avoided porting / using old files from TV boxes running Android L based firmwares...)

Hello, I`ve met the same problem with same device with unknown revision serial "i15TFL": I`d flashed TWRP and Android stop starting proper.
Have you managed to restore the original Android on your device? Please give me instruction how to do this, and, if you could, post firmware files to Google Drive (Baidoo cloud speed really low).

I resize partitions and restore the original firmware on my device by using Phone Flash Tool 5.3.4.1 and X98 serie GPT file ( i have chosen gpt_20g_org)& TWRP Boot.
In the android firmware, replace the file gpt.bin
On the computer, install and run the Intel Phone Flash Tool . Click Browse ... , select the flash.json file, in the Configuration: field , set the recover option .
We translate the tablet into DNX FASTBOOT MODE , for this, on the off tablet simultaneously press and hold the On and both volume buttons . USB-cable connect it to the computer, make sure that the program saw it and click Start to flash
The first launch will take a lot of time, be patient
Then i installed window.
Everything worked like it should but without root
I can upload firmware to Google Drive but can not post link coz (To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!)
All data will be deleted. Everything you do, you do at your own risk.

How to install:
1. Download this firmware and flash via Intel Platform Flash Tool.
2. Put Rooted stock Android or Remix OS zip into internal memory or sd card.
3. Make sure you had activated "Enable OEM Unlock" in Android Developer`s menu.
4. Boot into recovery (choose android boot then hold Volume Down, in appeared menu choose recovery, device will reboot, then again choose android.. welcome to TWRP).
5. Install zip via TWRP.
Notice: Never never ever upgrade SuperSU APK. After upgrade it`s unable to update binary and stop functioning at all.
Notice: At RemixOS cameras does not work at all.

Np. Thank you for sharing your experience. I knew this method and its for re install android firmware but still have 2 problems I have mentioned it(check out first post) Camera did not work at all. Second problem you can not change Auto rotate when you want (with game work like it should). Also there is video showing how to install RemixOS in our devices, search in youtube ([SL] 043 Cube Iwork 10 Ultimate: How to flash ROM + root + MIUI + play.google + 512mb videocard - YouTube). You can follow the same step to install different img. I tried 6 different img and all of them have the same problem with auto rotate and camera. I resized partions coz android side have just 8 GB and its not enough for my games.
all imgs which i found and img which you provided not for i15-TFL . Its for iWork10_V1 and i15-T
But at rooted android image everything ok with camera and autorotation, after 1 day of RemixOS usage I decided it's better for me to return to stock os, but I also need root permissions. So, my experience is successful, everything still unresolved is sd card unmount during device sleep. But I detected it even on stock image.

For me with rooted android img camera & auto rotation. I had problem with sd card mount and unmount and i fixed it by uninstall supersu and install just busybox. Then i decided to resized partions ( 20 GB for android and rest for win) and i used sd in win side to install program&game. To do that search in youtube (Install any Windows programs or applications on microsd card Tech Guy Charlie).
Hello thank you for your Help.
The Root is there and the auto rototion is working.
But i have one problem there, the canera is not working after installing the rom via TWRP.
Is it a bug?

I made the first Android TV 7 port rom for our T95MAX, but I think it should works well on any Allwinner H6. I have entered a big number of optimizations for the processor, there is also Magisk, but it does not work, even if there is a classic root and Youtube and many others apps work at 1080p. Otherwise, everything seems to be going well. The ROM is in TWRP backup format.
HERE THE LINK

FEATURES
- Android ATV 7 with full fake emulation of a device Android Sony Bravia TV 4K 2015
- Stock Root
Magisk implemented but not work
- Netflix latest version full working - only SD but quality near to HD - Youtube, Disney+ and others streaming apps work at 1080p
- Deezer Mod Android TV
- Amazon PrimeVideo in HDR with possibility to buy movies in store with UHD quality
- Many optimizations of CPU and GPU, rom is very fast and stable
- Chromecast seems works in some situation, vocal search not works
- Unlock core frequencies to 1,8GHz / need to execute two scripts includes in app called SH Script Runner at every boot
- DRM Level 3
and many other things...
INSTALLATION
Install by PC with PhoenixUSBPro this clean stock Android 7 Rom, then go to stock recovery. From here launch this TWRP for Tanix TX6 version 7 and restore the entire backup of my ATV ROM, reboot and enjoy it!

Unlike all those firmwares up there...
Wifi/BT works!
DS4 pairs !
Youtube playback is 6 x times better. These videos on youtube played awfully the "motion video test" video from youtube, that video is awesome for device stability testing i tell ya!
Mouse cursor is working correctly, there are no misaligned clicks!.
As far as i could tell, there is no "Hic'Up" effect that drops a frame
No AliceUX BS!
Omg, i am so lucky to come across your post or i would never be able find this so happy already.
Today i am going to test it further by actually watching from it with this new firmware and tomorrow i am eager to restore your TWRP back up on to it. which i have no clue how to do about...
Update 2:
PROS:
So far so far good!
The ultra annoying "100" ms frame freezes are now gone, youtube plays brilliantly and the framepacing is what you would expect for a tighly optimized stream box, as good as Mi Tv Stick minus the sluggishness.
Dualshock 4 did never pair up among those 20 other firmwares however , this FW gets the job done.
Framepacing is almost perfect, a night and day difference.
Not a single annoyance from that dreaded Alice UX notifications (you know it still spammed notifications eventhough not be set the default launcher)
CONS so far:
The device's Ddram is 3gb instead of 4( no big deal)
In Stremio, i hear no sound from most of the sources, are dts 5.1 files supposed to be downmixed to stereo in this box? i am not sure about what has changed.
update : there is something a miss with the codecs installed to this firmware, in stremio, it is nearly impossible to find a source with a working sound... i used to be able to play most x264 files. now none has sound.
I am Curious:
about restoring your ATV TWRP back up... So you saying that the 5mb zip file of yours if going to change the whole OS into a an ATV? I flashed the T95 MAX-SCV2.img already, should keep pushing you say?
"then go to stock recovery. From here launch this TWRP for Tanix TX6 version 7 and restore the entire backup of my ATV ROM, r"
Can you be more newbie-specific? @fosseperme
where is this TWRP app? is this the "Official TWRP app" on play store the correct one?
Where do we put the zip file"TWRP_TX6.zip" to SD card?
does it have to be unzipped to sd card?
how have you flashed it if it wasn't by the OP's method ? if you're using it to be listing it's pros and cons then you've already flashed it.
the OP intended you to flash TWRP (a custom recovery app) from the stock recovery app and then restore the downloaded file as a backup when you're in TWRP.
you might have a menu option that let's you reboot the box or reboot into recovery, bootloader or fastboot. if not you'd need a root app to do that for you (reboot into recovery mode).
from the stock recovery the option you want is most likely install update (I don't know what your recovery looks like), then you'd select the TWRP zip as you've downloaded it. that will eventually open as a new (probably temporary) recovery app TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) which has much more features than the stock recovery. from there you were intended to select restore backup and choose the downloaded file from google drive. let that run it's course and then when it's finished reboot your device via TWRP.

the firmware i flashed is the OP's first link that he refers to as "clean rom"
All the pros/cons come out of that.
I mean, the firmware that comes iwth my tx6 was in such a garbage state that i was amazed by just the starting step of the whole his post.
ps: oh i see the "power menu" has that recovery menu
app in the app drawer now, it also has bunch of options other than the power off. (like recovery mode)
i also noticed that by updating the magisk manager, it seems to be working, grating or denying root access to apps.
Anyways
I didn't read fully myself.
the clean link is just an android 7 stock rom and not actually his modified version. once you've flashed that you complete the process as described by going into recovery and flashing TWRP and from TWRP flashing the first link as a backup file.
I could not restore the zipped ATV recovery.
I booted into recovery mode by using this app that came with the fw.
next:
Tried to install from external
But it was just looking at a specific directory for the TWRP zip file.
So i copied the TWRP zip file to where the dir path was targeting.
So i was finally at the TWRP screen.
i copied the 2.5gb zip file (T95_MAX_ATV7FULL_20190112_test-keys.zip) to the root of the SD Card
Next, i chose "recover" ,
but it did not see the zip file.
I unzipped the file , but this time to a bigger SDCARD but again not finding it....
Then i though maybe i should choose the "install option here:
I checed the tickboxes for zip fie verificaion signature before swiping to install
but it gave up errors
and did not continue so i stopped and
now asking , what i am doing wrong.
OK getting into the TWRP menu is where you want to be. look inside the zip file to see if it has folders starting with TWRP and inside that BACKUP and more. if it does copy the whole TWRP folder to your memory card. then when you flash TWRP you should be able to select storage (internal or external) and restore from the external TWRP folder.
I am just going off guesses here, I'm not downloading 2.5gb to find out exactly what's in there. a TWRP backup will normally be a dated folder with lots of individual archives and files, not just one zip file.
Either way , it does not show up.
The sdcard has inside:
The zip file 2.5gb
And an extracted version of it. (Folder with files and folders). Theproblem is when i click thr restore , it ask for what to recover but dont show anything to let me select.
None are visible on the recovery load screen. They are visible on in "install" screen.
you need to answer the question I asked you.
what is the name of the first folder inside the zip file ?
TWRP will only restore files from it's own backups folder
if it's a date and model number and something like release keys xxyyzz then you need to create two folders on the root of your memory card
the 1st one called TWRP in capitals, then inside that another called BACKUPS also in capital letters. then copy the extracted zip folders into it.
it might start with a folder that's the model number of the device, do the same with that (make those folders and copy files to the second folder (backups).
after you've clicked on restore in TWRP near the bottom of the screen there will be an option to select storage. you must select your external storage or you won't see anything.
don't bother trying to use the install option, THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT.

Well, i could not stay patient and decided to make a mini TWRP back up of my current rom, and noticed that it creates a TWRP folder and inside A serliased folder Name, inside the newly created back up. SO i moved the OP's backfile zip file extracter next to that folder and now i was able to restore the ATV rom.
congratulations, you have succeeded at your mission... enjoy!
@fosseperme
I finally used the TWRP back up and realised that the WIFI and BT were not working anymore eventhough the stock firmware that we flashed onto was just fine...
i was too put off by the lack of wifi/bt support of this ATV modification that i had to roll back to the nice and clean stock firmware.
At least i have a proper firmware for the junkbox that Tanix TX6

did not i click "send"?
anyway, thanks for the company btw, thought i did already
i am wondering how he was able to remove the wifi/bt chip support?
The stock rom was able to recognize the wifi/bt chip but the TWRP back up he gave was not, so did he dive into some android OS folders and delete the unnecessary (for his box) drivers manually?
IF so , then it should be possible to reverse that action so that i can add those files to another good ROM that lacks them.
recovery mode
Guys I have stupid question. How to navigate in android recovery mode without volume keys. Because of mine tvbox does not have it.

does mouse mode work on your remote in recovery ? TWRP is a touch based recovery so mouse mode or volume keys on the remote if it's not TWRP. if the recovery wasn't made specifically for your device you probably shouldn't use it.
For the "clean stock Android 7 Rom", is it already in ATV? what is the launcher?
what is the difference between the clean stock and restoration of the TWRP backup rom? The features in OP is available in clean stock?
It would be great to share some screenshots if anyone flashed this.
Thanks fosseperme for porting this.
