If you don't like EXR's default VAIO status-bar icon you can replace the icon with a custom icon,
that is an icon you create, a custom icon from the customPNGset.zip(see attachment) or one of the two avaible and ready to go setup .apks( heart.zip or oneforlove.zip). ^ ^
Warnings:
If you don't know what you're doing, then you can't do what you want.
This replacement tutorial applies ONLY to [ROM]EXR.M and C|ZU_4.4(761)|Nono Enchantress|SONY strongest landscaping users.

oneforlove.zip(see attachement) changes navibar icon to:
heart.zip(see attachement) changes navibar icon to:
Download your preferred file, extract it, copy SystemUI.apk from the .zip archive to your phablet's ext/int storage.
On your phablet, launch a root explorer of your choice( e.g fx explorer with root add-on) or use the built-in R.E explorer( if you understand chinese).
Copy the SystemUI.apk from your int/ext storage and move it to /system/priv-app.( r/w access needed)
When asked, confirm replacement. If you are unable to overide the original SystemUI.apk, right click it to modify permissions( you need WRITE access) and try again.
Understand you might brick your phablet if you don't know what you're doing!
Restart your system. Voila! That's it! ^ ^
Replacing statusbar icon with a custom icon
Pre-made custom icons( customPNGset.zip):
Download heart.zip or oneforlove.zip, it doesn't matter which one you download!

Replace *all icons from folder SystemUI/res/drawable-sw400dp-xhdpi and SystemUI/res/drawable-xhdpi with your favorite png image or choose an image from customPNGset.zip( see attachement).
* icons you need to replace in SystemUI/res/drawable-sw400dp-xhdpi and SystemUI/res/drawable-xhdpi

stat_sys_signal_3.png, stat_sys_signal_3_fully.png,
stat_sys_signal_4.png, stat_sys_signal_4_fully.png
Transfer your new SystemUI.apk to your phablet's int/ext storage.

[tutorial]how to get nav-bar on jb/ics rom

Hello guys..
Here i present you the mod how to enable navigation bar(on screen buttons) on JB/ICS roms..
its very simple and easy..
REQUIRMENT
1)Apktool
2)Notepad++
1> add the following line at the end of buid.prop file
"qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
now on reboot we will have nav-bar like on nexus so its size would be bigger
2>To get the bar resized you will need to edit Framework-res.apk, so first decompile the framework-res.apk of the rom you are using with the help of apktool or any other tool that u might prefer..
3> now go to res/values and open dimens.xml file using Notepad++(these will be present in framework-res folder created on decompiling apk)
4>here look for 3 lines which refers to navigation bar height and width, they must be in first several lines
5>now change the DPI as you're requirment i prefer height between 25-27 and width 21-23. save the edit file and close notepad++
6> now compile the framework-res, so we will get a build folder inside the framework-res folder created on decompiling the apk as said above
7> here in build folder just go to apk folder and copy the “resources.arsc” file to the original framework-res.apk(you can use 7-zip to open frmework-res.apk(original) and then drag and drop the “resources.arsc” file in it, just replase the “resources.arsc” present in the file as it will prompt)
well you are done now you need to put the framework-res.apk(original) on to the phone as you want by flashing a zip or manually..
and reboot
enjoy..:good:
you can also add some new buttons by editing systemui.apk as i have done here..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971225
thank you man amazing topic
but i can't find dimens.xml in res/values
how can i resize my navigation bar ?
i've samsung galaxy s2

}
For first i will explain about it, so please don't confused with it.
1. Look at the screenshot-1, u will not see the toggle button. so if u want to see just slide on "Settings button icon to the left" and u will see the toggle button.
2. Look at the screenshot-2, u will not see the settings button. so if u want to see just slide on "The bottom of scroll bar on the toggle to the right" and u will bring back and see the settings button.
3. This mod using statusbar greper by dcsms(thanks and credits goes to him). Statusbar greper will allow u to change the icon of battery, signal, layout and etc u like on the fly (without reboot). If u want to change your stock statusbar to statusbar greper just slide from the battery and signal icon to the left side, after it u will see a statusbar greper and play it on Statusbar Greper config (include on the zip file). Before u do this, u must have Quickpic.apk (statusbar greper needed).

[mod] [stock] toggle reorder and without ugly movement (mg2 russian rom)

I am not a developer, but I've done my first mod.
It's for noobs like me, and it's made for stock rom, russian MG2 versión. You need to have your phone rooted
You only have to copy this file to your sdcard, and then, with root explorer or similar file explorer, copy it to /system/App overwriting the existing one.
Please, before doing anything make a backup of that file.
After copying it, reboot immediately. May be you could see a popup saying that SystemUI has closed, but it's normal.
I've modded it only to have 5 toggles, so I won't see anymore that ugly movement of the toggles. These five toggles are: wifi, mobile data, silent mode, location (GPS) and bluetooth.
I think theye are the most used, aren't they ?
Bye,

[MOD] Media/Volume NavBar for TouchWiz In Car Installs

With the help of 7786 and lots of time spent to fix the code on the IronRom's NavBar, I have finally finished the Media/Volume Navbar for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 for TouchWiz.
This mod not only enables the NavBar, but it is modified to change Volume for those installs where a Volume Knob is not an option like mine. Also has the Previous, Play/Pause and Next Playback functions. The Google Logo opens the Google Search when held for a second. I for one really don't care to have a Search Engine taking up valuable space on my Screen (despite the ScreenShots [emoji14])
On Certain Launchers, for example Apex Launcher, The Navbar is Transparent. I don't know what other Launchers are like this But it looks great.

How to Install Mod:
1. Download Zip 2. Enable Soft Keys 3. Restart Into Recovery 4. Install Zip 5. Clear Dalvik/Cache 6. Enjoy
How to Enable Soft Keys:
Section 1: Pre-requisites
You need to have root access on your device.
Install Root Explorer or ES File Explorer or any file manager with which you can access the system partition. Below steps are given for Root Explorer.
Make sure your device is at least 70% charged to avoid complications during the process.
Section 2: Procedure
Open your preferred file manager and mount the system partition as read-write in stead of read only. Grant superuser access when it prompts.
Go to the system folder present in the root of file system. i.e the path- /system
root explorer
Now open the file “build.prop” in any Text Editor. For Root Explorer users, long click on “build.prop” file and tap on “Open with Text Editor”. (Before editing this file, for a safety, copy this file to the external memory card and save as a backup.)
build.prop
Now add the following line to this file at the end:
Code:
[CENTER]qemu.hw.mainkeys=0[/CENTER]
Save and Exit.
Now reboot your device.
Voila! You now have soft keys on your device!
If soft keys are still not enabled, please check if you have typed in the exact line as above. There are some apps which do this for you with a single click. But these apps may cause boot loops. Happy Androiding!
