Should never have cancelled my play order >< still haven't got my refund so can't order another from Amazon and theyre going fast on there ><
What I get for wanting a different color ffs

Got mine today! My first order was 26th, I cancelled on 2nd to try and order from Mobilefun, then re-ordered again from Google the same day. It still shipped on the 4th and it was delivered today. I'm quite impressed that I didn't lose my place in the queue

Mine shipped at 10AM today Pretty sure I'll have it by the time I'm back from work tomorrow can't wait! How's everyone finding there's so far?

Got mine this evening, the Parcelforce shipping was not fantastic but got there in the end, had to pick up from a local post office as I missed the initial delivery (note to self, get all future orders sent to work.) Though the watch had been here in London for three days before they got it over to me.
The watch itself is very impressive, literally 'road tested' the navigation on my bicycle tonight, OK, it opens the maps app fully on the phone and the screen is on (even when in your pocket, but you can power that down.) So some tweaks needed, but to be fair, got me home...as a car user. They also need to tweak the 'mode of transport' option. But overall it's great being able to get travel directions on your wrist (one of the reasons I bought the G watch actually) so that ticks a box.
I love the currency conversion, language translation features, "OK Google, convert £100 into mexican pesos", "OK Google translate 'hello world' into German" etc, works like a charm.
Some nice apps that I installed after doing some checks online
Calculator:
(Look it up on Google, I am not allowed to post links , search for "Google Wear Calculator")
Duolingo (This will give you a small 'Flash Card' language game on your wrist...awesome really )
Since it works with notifications, you can obviously change tracks on Spotify etc. Yet to test it with Netflix when paired with Chromecast, looking forward to that
This presents the opportunity to use some of the phone functions while the phone is charging up and you are watching TV for example.
Overall, love the device, comfortable on the wrist, beautiful, easy to use, well worth the money for the Navigation, Translation and Currency/Unit etc conversion features alone.
Some small (intermittent issues) with Bluetooth disconnection but the connection quickly returns, not a major obstruction but a quiet annoyance.
I am sure that Google will iron the bugs out over time and also that 3rd party devs will start to wear enable their apps. This device is easily worth the money

got mine about an hour ago and so far so good
needs more watchfaces hopefully someone will get to making some awesome gaming themed custom ones also any idea how I get the weather card back? swiped it away and can't seem to get it back lol

Just use "ok Google" and ask about weather. It will add it back.

Make sure your wrist is perpendicular to the floor and facing you, the watch knows which was is 'up', takes a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it's simple.

So who got the device already?

As today is he official launch in the UK... who picked up already his device and what are the first impressions?
As said in my Q thread, I picked it up yesterday (despite most stores saying they couldn't sell it yet). I was the second person to get one from the big Phones4U in Leeds.
After palying with it all afternoon Yesterday and most of this morning (yeah I should be working!), I love it. It's soooo silky smooth. All my favourite games run perfectly, I've even tried the N64 emulator and it ran effortlessly.
The only niggles I have:
- There's no longer NFC (would have been nice to be future-proofed on that, even though I couldn't use it right now anyway)
- I miss my notification light, but obviously not enough to stop me buying this beast
- It doesn't have the shiny music player from the original Galaxy S
- The clock widgets don't bring up the alarm when you press them
- Oh and my apps didn't download when I synched my Google account, so I had a fun time last night manually putting them all back on.
As you can see, trivial stuff that isn't really important.
Ask me anything, I'll try and answer as often as I can, but I do need to get some work done (if I can find the motivation and pull myself away from this phone!)
Oh, one final thing. A quick battery comparison - My Desire HD, at this time of the morning (after I've been playing music and on the internet via 3G/H), would be down to around 50%. This is currently on 70% and I've been playing with it all morning. Just an initial observation, but a positive one.
your thoughts about the weight and the feel of the phone (esp. the back cover)?
I'm amazed at the weight, it feels like a dummy phone (compared to my DHD and old N1).
The build is nice and sturdy for a plastic phone, but the back cover is very thin - I'm scared I'll snap it every time I remove it. Fortunately I shouldn't need to go back in there now that I've stuck my SD in

will it work on ATT frequencies?
Did they lock down 850/1900 so American customers cannot use it?
when you press down on the back cover of the phone..did it creek or seems like its pressing down on pressure..making it feel like its a little loose/flimsy?
also did the phone run hot while using it for sometime?

They are saying in the future the NFC antenna will be in your sim card and there will be software in the phone that can link to that, so dont be too disheartened, you may get it after all, but just not how you expected

Can You run Tegra2-Games?
No creaking on the back cover, it's nice and tight. I can probably see it starting to give over time though.
How do I check Tegra2- specific games (or where can I find one, still don't know if we have Exynos or Tegra) and how do I tell if the US bands are available?
P.s. thanks Jupiter

Hi, congrats on your purchase! I had two brief questions.. can the dock be modified on the homescreen (can you choose which apps go on it), and some photos from other reviews it seemed like people got chargers with EU plugs, did yours come with a UK one? These aren't really pressing issues but I'm just interested really.

ps I got my xperia s on the 9th March
Thanks for the reply, seems I was a little too late! I also received my Xperia S on the 9th. Oh well, guess that's more money I have to spend...
I don't understand how, but I just received my SmartWatch (MN2) from MobileFun in the UK. Nobody has stock and MobileFun still say they don't have a confirmed release date...yet here I have one this morning delivered. I think what may have happened is that stores were given single units to display prior to the main release, and as MobileFun is an Internet retailer, they just passed it as normal stock! It was sealed and had never been used before.
Now I am not using it with a Sony phone. I have an HTC Evo 3D. Although it is working, I have hit 2 issues already
1) This phone is listed as compatible, but the email notifier does NOT work with HTC phones. All other apps, like text, calendar, call log, music player, weather , facebook and twitter do work fine.
2) If the bluetooth connection is interrupted for any reason, such as moving out of range, sometimes it does not resume correctly and the watch ends up in an infinite loop trying to reconnect to the phone. I have to kill the processes on the phone to reset this.
It installed a firmware update when I first installed the Liveware and Smartwatch application on the phone, so I am sure there will be further improvements for things like this in due course.
It says it includes a USB charger on some websites. It does not. It just includes a unique type of USB cable that you have to plug-in to a generic charger or computer.
The touchscreen works quite well, but the image is not that bright and there is a yellowyness to the colours. Swipe up to move to widgets, swipe down to move to app icons, swipe across to move between pages, and use two fingers to go back up a level! There is no speaker in the Smartwatch but it does vibrate. The screen resolution is adequate but limited.

Thank you for reporting. Great to see your micro review with key issues listed. Now, about the bluetooth, I just have to say I'm flabbergasted. Sony Corp. have had A COUPLE OF YEARS to get this right since the LiveView and they still manage to screw it up. I'm sorry, but it just isn't acceptable.

I am not sure, at all. The LiveView received few and poor updates. Further improvements - well they cannot even get the basic functionality right so they shouldn't release it. I do hope you have a non-release version. This is appalling.

Yes the vibration alert is key. Shame they haven't got the Bluetooth right, though. I would have got a Motorola MotoACTV. At least they do upgrade the software every few weeks, BUT it lacks that one crucial factor the vibration alert.
Still hoping Sony will correct things before release.
On sonymobile sweden homepage the smartwatch is listed as "New" now, before is was listed as "coming soon", i think it was today they change that.
Sorry for my bad english.
Guys is it that bad
or are you so demanding
I was hoping to have fun with some accessories for Xps.
But now i very concern about it IS IT WORTH's IT since i dont want to put my money on the mud
Cheer up
seem's that sony wont get any more profit from me !!! Too bad SONY
I also got mine from mobilefun. Works well except for email notifications with LTE galaxy note. I get a device not supported message. It does reboot a couple of times but auto reconnects.
Battery life is good so far, I am pleasantly surprised. It also looks good.
It is quite good. It just isn't super reliable yet with those odd disconnections. The more apps you add in the more it does those random reconnects. The hardest test is the viewfinder app which really stresses the Bluetooth connection. The mail app will only work with Sony phones. Just have to hope someone develops an htc one. Battery life really is good.
I preordered mine and it should arrive 5th of April here in Germany. Since I have learned that BT-issues may be caused either by the gadget and the phone itself I give it a try.
But as an old Sony-victim (MBW 100, MBW 150, both dead short after the 2-years-warranty), I will return it immediately for refund when BT does not work properly.
Give you a report as soon as I have my hands on it.
arrived a bit ago
mine arrived last friday,
I'm semi impressed, but to be honest I don't think they should have called it a "Smartwatch" i think Smart Remote, or Extended Display would have been more correct.
1. if it doesn't get a BT connection to a phone it will not do anything,
2. if it looses the link ( phone with dead battery, turn off bluetooth to save that last bit of battery you have left ) it has a fit and will loose time eventually flash's the time then goes to a connection type screen like when you first got it.
3. VERY FEW USEFUL APPS, yes new events, and social network apps are working but aren't really over the top, the ViewFinder app sadly wasn't even done by sony yet in the original Live View the same feature app existed made by sony. what gives? there are only a handful off useful things for apps and gmail notifier isn't one of them. it just says if you have a mail and how many unread , doesn't tell you anything more. so really it's a bit of a letdown.
All in all i'm fine with it, and i put up with it, but I see why now some of the standalone android watch's are more expensive. can't say IMWATCH would be any different but i suspect it would be as it has storage on it suggesting you can load a few things and run it without the bluetooth but if you wanted updated info then it would need to re-link to the phone. this would be much more attractive then what sony did. so hopefully they'll catch on and at least allow you to keep TIME and maybe an onscreen setting as to 1 bluetooth on/off to save battery and just use as a watch sometimes, ( maybe an app? ) and have it not go into dead mode. fair enough if you power it off it loses everything and will require linking to the phone. Also MULTI DEVICE WOULD BE NICE, i have more then one android device that can run the software thusly if i want to take my Galaxy Note one day, my HTC SENSATION XE another, or my p920 another day, i should be able to choose which one i want to use with the phone that day and not have to keep re-pairing it. just maybe they can limit it to one connection at a time bt remember maybe up to 4 paired devices ( or at least 2 )
( meh why rant here as Sony never reads here mosta the time anyway )
Received my free Smartwatch from Phones 4 U today. Not had chance to play with it yet to give a review but thought I would mention as it would seem the accessories are now becoming generally available.
where are you guys buying these in the uk? Cant find any retailers
He's got one, and he's made a little video on it.
You can do some great things with the watch, seems cool. Hopefully when more apps start to pour through it will get even better
I just receive mine this morning.
A gift from thephonehouse with my Xperia S
Some basic apps from sony works perfectly.
But other apps (japanese most of them) working as they want...
Like an app : it command your camera and you can see in your watch live images. This apps launch your camera or not
A workaround to enable email notification on non-Sony phones with the new SmartWatch - note requires knowledge of Tasker.

Don't think anyone will actually receive it til the 16th when it is actually released which is why i saw no reason for a pre-order. Just called my local ATT store and they haven't even received shipment yet and they are a major branch. They said first thing tomorrow they will have them in (could be lying and already have them though now). Just going to my store when they open tomorrow and pick it up in person so i can physically check it for defects such as the screen and camera lens alignment before walking out of the store. Something you can't do in the mailbox and if you have a shipped defected phone then have to go to the ATT store anyways to switch out.
Of course we won't know until tomorrow if there is ATT version defected phones but been seeing a lot on here for the Intl version so best to check people.

Just got my AT&T HOX+. Just first impressions. Very nice phone but I came from the GNex that was completely ugly plastic. The screen is gorgeous. Loudspeaker is great. Battery I cant say anything yet too early for it. I have a bit light bleed from the screen and I can see a bit of the light of the buttons between the glass and the shell. Nothing so bad that I would return it. The vibration is very strong. So strong that it makes this weird rattling noise. I think I had that already on my MT4G. LTE is fast in San Diego in comp. to HSPA+. I get download speeds of 10Mbps in comparison to 0.5 to max 3 Mbps on HSPA. I had no wifi problem so far. Had some issues with the HTC "multitasking" and two-step-activation because it never went back to the site i had to put the pin in after switching between key generator and web browser. The web browser is fast and still has Flash. I thought after ICS there won't be Flash anymore so it was a nice surprise. Let's hope now for JB 4.2 soon and that this nice phone won't be a niche product. I am afraid that HTC releases the HOX ++ in February
BTW the amount of bloatware is obnoxious and nothing can be removed.
Additions: Bluetooth with beats audio sounds great in my car. Much better than the sounds that came out of my GNex. The screen on auto-brightness is really bright. I have to get used to it. I have some problems to press power and volume rocker. They are flush with the shell and difficult to feel.

Thanks for the update. I'll be sure to check the small defects you pointed out when i pick this device up in store so i can switch it out on the spot if needed and kind of see how often these small defects pop up from HTC, damn their quality control! I called 5 different ATT stores within 10 miles of my house last night and not 1 had this device in stock yet! A few stores the employees were like what phone? You mean the One X? Lol, didn't even know what i was talking about, freakin people never cease to amaze me. They all said they get their shipments in around 10-11am today so hopefully i can find a store to run to on my lunch break from work and get this puppy setup while im at work so when i get home it's all fun and games!
Bloatware, haven't seen that in years but remember how nasty it was. Good thing this bad boy has 64gb of memory so not like its hurting us all that much and i'm sure in a week or so we'll have full Root and what not so no issues after that .
How's the gaming on it? When you first setup your device, how do you get your music from iTunes to this device? I have all my contacts synced to google and yahoo mail so that shouldn't be an issue but have like 320 songs i gotta load on this bad boy some how for the gym. Let us know how it goes bro, thanks!

I have all my contacts synced to google and yahoo mail so that shouldn't be an issue but have like 320 songs i gotta load on this bad boy some how for the gym. Let us know how it goes bro, thanks!

Good luck that you get one of these nice devices today in your hands.
If you boot up the first time you get first a splash screen from AT&T to setup the phone. Cancel that and setup your Google account first. Not sure why AT&T did that but I was afraid that it then syncronizes everything to AT&T instead of Google.
iTunes? I am an Apple-free household I have just my mp3 collection and Google play music. I uploaded all my private music in the cloud at Google play and normally buy music from Google and Amazon. I never became used to using iTunes. Horrible program in my opinion.
Gaming? Haven't tested it yet. Not a big phone gamer. For gaming I have my PS3

I would sign up for google music (free), and install the google music sync to your computer with itunes. It will upload all your music and playlists to the google cloud and be available to your phone through google music. If you want it local, there is an option for it to download the music to your phone and allow use by any music app. Keep in mind any DRM protected music will not be uploaded.

Isn't all iTunes purchased music DRM protected though? Don't like i actually uploaded any songs from a CD to iTunes. Damn Apple, wish i never went that route and still kicking myself in the ass for it!

Haters gonna hate. Thats the only way to look at it. Its a cool piece of hardware but theres haters for everything. Hell you tell people the battery will last 2-3 days and they scream bloody murder, "oh it sucks, thats horrible!". Then you tell them the Apple iWatch battery will only last 8 hours and they are all like " oh well thats probably ok" (I dont actually know what the iWatch battery is like). I did just go on a little rant here. It should give you some insight into why people talk bad about it.
Thanks I'll check that out

Love mine. Yes charge it daily. Do i really need to not sure but rather it last than run out half wau through. Disnt have apps i wanted. So wrote my own. So now it pretty much does everything i want. I quite often leave my phone at home if popping to shops etc. Has step counter and sleep log. The apps i have downloaded are quite cool but dont use them often.
The two i wrote. Access cctv and view from watch. Control domoticz home automation from watch. Yup lazy can turn lights on and off from bed and couch. The tizen ide for programming is not too bad.

I just got mine yesterday and so far I like it. I had the original Gear 1 and a Moto 360. I will say that the Moto 360 seemed to work better with Google stuff such as Hangouts, but it was far more limited as a device compared to the Gear S. I loaded the Gear Notification Extender, and now I can reply to both Gmail and Hangouts using the Gear S, very nice!
I do like the option of using something like the Opera Mini Browser to view Gmail and such. And I can't wait to try it out this spring while cycling, it would be nice to leave my phone at home or in the car when riding my bike.
Hope this helps.
its a fantastic piece of kit
to be fair i've struggled with it a bit understanding the settings and permutations but the functionality seems to be improving day by day.
the choice of useful apps isn't massive but that hasn't been a problem for me personally,
I'm not a great fan of the interface on my related S4 smartphone but i can live with that
the liberation of just having the watch (ok with your compatible samsung plugged in or turned on somewhere else) is the main attraction for me
i dont understand the haters especially those deriding the battery life, the appearance (it looks great on your wrist in real life), the concept ( i don't think i need one why would anybody else?) or the need to have a samsung phone to go with it ( I'm not charmed by that either that but Samsung are no worse than others in that regard and there are I guess technical reasons why it has to pair with something short of being a brick on your wrist) at least with the Gear S that pairing can be at a distance or indeed you can just use it as a phone on its own
some people have posted here and on android central that they have returned the watch but most actual users who see the use case for them, have checked out the limitations, have persevered or been patient with some of the glitches and understand why its the best in its class
i see your a "senior member" so apologies for showing granny how to suck eggs - apart from that buy it - or hang on a little longer to see if there really is a Gear S 2 coming soon!

I would get one that can be rooted. Mine may go back because of the lockdown.
What type of lights are you turning on and off? And what brand camera? I didn't see your apps on gear store
Thats because i wrote the apps for myself.
My home lights via domoticz
Accessing a cctv server system to view live images.
Might adapt them for the store at some stage but presently just because i wanted them.

I have the WEMO light switches and wished there was an app for it on my watch. And I have foscam cameras, not necessary for a watch but I thought it would be cool.

No apps maybe, but you can go to the website for your Foscam using the Opera browser on the watch. Cheers!

Question Oppo find n2, is anybody ordered?

New one
Better cameras
Better fast charging
Better screens
Better snapdragon
Is anybody ordered? From where?
Giztop maybe?
I just placed an order at Trading Shenzhen. They're usually a bit cheaper than Giztop and offer Global shipping with no added import duties. I bought the Find N with them and do far I'm satisfied.
Thanks for the tip... Looking now...
I ordered mine 5 days ago from Alixpress and it's on custom process right now, they will release it today and will git it tomorrow.

I ordered mine through Wonda Mobile. Just received it yesterday. I have google play services installed and everything seems to be working fine so far. I have not tested Android Auto yet, but normally it won't work on CN ROM phones.

Yeah, Android Auto doesn't work. The error message says that it was not pre-installed. It must be bundled with the operating system.
Anyone else getting a message saying “Messages” wants to send a payment request message…….
When using Google messages as default messages app? I’m getting that error every time I mention something involving money like “I got a visa gift card for Christmas”
Anyone know how to turn that off or any work around?
Running latest software

I got the green one. I'm coming from a rooted Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. At first, it got super annoying going back to the CN strict-heavy rom but, it doable in the US
Cons:
- Launchers still don't work without work around.
- Google messages doesn't send messages to non-RCS users if you send a message with hot words that have to do with money.
- Only 5 apps can be locked (running fully in the background, auto startup from boot) at a time.
- Even if notifications are set AND you chose to never revoke access, some apps still won't send notifications unless you mess with the setting again (usually toggle on/off)
-default messaging app doesn't allow group sms (all messages are recieved separately)
Pros:
- super duper compact and perfect in every way (hardware wise)
- 5g is a major go (reason why I sold my first oppo find n)
- everything else not listed above runs super smoothly (in California, on TMobile)
- Pictures are really good and videos too
I have my Xiaomi watch running on it fine, when my notifications don't work on the phone sometimes, it always does on the watch.
Unboxing was crazy, holding the little green hulk felt perfect. Really hope a global rom gets released or someone finds a way to root this phone.

I went with the black one cause of vegan leather material, I know it's fake leather but it feels good and had a better grip on it.

The price for N2 and Mix Fold 2 are more or less the same. Which do you prefer? Really tempted to order one of these two foldables.
