Google Play Services 5.x DeepSleep "FIX" - HTC EVO 3D

The new Google Play Services 5.x keeps our device awake which results in battery drain.
Install Autorun Manager from Google Play Store and deactivate all SystemUpdateService$Receivers in Google Play Services.
Haven't DeepSleep problems for a week now. Read somewhere else that Google Play Services checks permanently for current Android version in Custom Roms.

A new CM version from johnnysylt should fix this problem

Before I deactivate all SystemUpdateService$Receivers in Google Play Services, may I know if it can be reversed?

Yes

Thank you Bender80.

This can also be done in Rom Toolbox- JRummy app, in Auto Start manager. Long press on Google Play Services, hit Advanced, and knock off those permissions.
Thanks for the heads up
Are there any other permissions you would suggest stopping?

New CM build contains a fix for that problem. I think it works. Other user mentioned in CM thread that battery drain is gone caused by Play Services. Don't know if it's fixed in other Custom Roms.
I usually don't revoke any permissions. Sometimes they have too many affects on other apps. Afterwards you can't remember what you have changed, if something doesn't work as normal. But this battery drain was a pain in the ***.

Disable Google Play Services

Who can tell wich services can I disable on Google Play Services app or plugin or whatever it is with app called Disable Service(available on play market)
It's running in background and hogging ram... I want to uncheck only those options wich won t ruin something or will disable Google Play Store
or can I uncheck all? There is about 60 services.
or maybe I can uninstall whole Google Play Services app? Will It cause any bugs?
As far as I know it's possible.
I already dealt with Annoying Google Maps that BIT*H is done and won t run in background at least till it will be needed.
Thanks
Anyone?

and PlusService , PlayMateService
whats up with the trial? I downloaded mine from playmarket it seems to be ok
p.s. googleplayservices will turn on and run in the background as soon as u run Youtube app or playmarket but it won t turn it self over and over once u force stop it
edit: actually now I think u have to uncheck services wich are highlighted blue... those are the running services

Sweet app, this Disable Service! Thanks for the tip. I have frozen Google Play Services completely using App Quarantine, and no adverse effects for me - quite the opposite actually since the phone behaves better in all ways (memory-constrained 512 Mb Xperia Ray might be why). But if I run into any troubles, I'll go the Disable Service way instead.
-Scarface- Have you any further encounters with unchecking services since you post in August?
Use greenify, much better and safe.
Don't forget to convert google services to user app first with titanium so you can chose to hibernate in greenify.

Well I tried Greenify:
I uninstalled Disable-Service and installed Greenify, used Titanium to convert Google Services to user app, but I found that Greenify kept reporting it had failed to hibernate Google Play services. So I’ve re installed Disable-Service, which works for me.

Did you have installed Xposed Insaller and you have enabled Greenify from it?
An other question: I have disabled these services, there are other useless services?

Sorry that was over a year ago, I cant remember now.
However I never succeeded in stopping Google play services and its wake-locks using 2% of my battery.

[Q] High wakelock count and battery drain (New Google play service).

Hey.
Few days ago, i have updated the google play services to 6.1 version.
After that a new kind of wild wakelock appeared. No idea why. I can't find anything about that one.
This wakelock is called : "wake:com.google.android.gms/.auth.be.proximity.authorization.userpresence.UserPresenceService"
And it's growing all the time, and it happened only after the update. I've lost after i unplugged (80%) ~20% in about 1hr with screen off.
I'm using Archidroid 1 (Newest one) on latest beta of boeffla kernel. And apart from that was everything fine.
Tried to clean Google play services cache and data. No results.
Screens below.
Same thing happened to me today on Nexus 4 with CM11M10
EDIT: I think it is related to WearableService under Google Services, I killed it and the situation has significantly improved. Try doing it on your device and see if it helps.

I probably managed to get rid of the same wakelock.
#1 install Disable Services app from Google Play
#2 open it, go to "system" tab
#3 find Google Play Services, open, find "Wearable Services" & untick it
#4 et voila, ready

I also had this problem. I additonally disabled the following services in Google Play Sevices:
"com.google.android.gms.auth.be.proximity.authorization.userpresence.UserPresenceService"
"com.google.android.gmx.config.ConfigFetchService"
and all other services with the word "fitness" or "wearable" (as my former poster already said)
Hope I could also help
Thanks guys for help!
I have solved this by reverting back to older version
But i ll update to 6.1 today, and try to disable those services.
Thanks again !

Edit: I have seen you use the Galaxy S2 (GT-9100) ... This could be something different from the S3 (GT-9300)
Is there no other thread available that deals this problem with your phone?
Can you say someting about your phone?
Do you really have a Galaxy S GT-9300?
Which Version is your Google Play Service?
Which Version of Android do you use?
Do you use a custom rom?
What is listed at top of the 'Google Play Serices' in WLD? Is it still the same like that posted by the thread starter?
Best wishes

Thanks for info..did what you suggested wakelock went from 9% down to 1%. I also unchecked Nlp and location history havent had any wierd things happen to my device[emoji106]
FirekatV8/FireGearXXX
I tried but no real improvements unfortunately on my Xperia SP (modded stock 4.3), now reverted to stock play services and battery drain disappeared but nothing works...
Update...
I noticed that the battery drain was really greater if the signal quality was bad...
So if I've good signal quality I haven't same drain than if with bad signal...and there was a BIG difference...
It's normal?
Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori
Xposed framework
Hi there,
i've had the very same problem for a cpl weeks and finally found what worked for me :
I had an Xposed module named 'Disable Google Network Location Consent'.
I just had to disable and uninstall the module (click and hold onto it in the module section of xposed).
Reboot.
et voila!!
Big thanks to my friend AoEKiller here on XDA and in RL for the help on that!
Anyone gets new Google play services? Problem solved or not?

I'm still having this issue! Just found this thread recently and installed "Disable Service" app and unchecked those 'wearable and fitness' services.
I hope it really works! Fingers crossed.
Seems to work for me, this has been bugging me for a while.
But I don't like disabling stuff I don't know what they do. What are the fitness and wearable services?
EDIT:
Thought it worked, it didn't... I will have to monitor WLD to see what casues the wakelocks on my phone. I CAN get rid of it but as soon as I start to install apps it comes back.
Stuffs for android wear?
It seems like nobody else is getting this error. I'm from the moto g 4g forums and I haven't found anyone else with this wakelock. From now, I'm using disable services app, but I thought that with the new play services update it should be fine. Guess I was wrong
Maybe some weird conflict with play services and some app(s) that not all users uses? Bad idea?
Seems that I've partially solved the issue disabling the service:
UserPresenceService
After disabling that service wakelocks.was really solved...

Greenifying Google Play and Related Apps

In combating the wakelocks with Google Play and keeping my phone asleep by forcing hibernation, I've been playing with hibernating Google Play Services and Google Services Framework as well as Play store. One of them being hibernated caused the play store to show no connection.
Anyone have a specific route to preventing Google related wakelocks using Greenify without breaking the store?
I've seen people been able to shut the Google Services framework real good but never did they ever post a link to a thread or trick or anything. Unfortunately the method they used does not involve with Greenify. I personally also want to know such thing too! Since I don't know how, maybe the things you can do right now is to only hibernate the store. Or try to limit the services framework activity by denying several permissions in AppOps

There is a app for xposed called nlpbounce, and it aims to stop wakelocks for google play and others, and if you get the pro version you can use it for any wakelick detected, its a pretty cool app give it a sjot might be what you are looking for

Download disable service and disable these:

CheckinService
ClearcutLoggerService
ConfigFetchService
ConfigService
DispatchingService
FusedProviderService
GcmRegisterService
GcmSchedulerWakeupService
GcmService
GeocodeService
GeofenceProviderService
GoogleHttpService
GoogleLocationManagerService
GoogleLocationService
GservicesValueBrokerService
IndexService
MonitorService
NegotiationService
NetworkLocationService

NotificationService
PackageBroadcastService
PlayLogMonitorInternalService
PlayLogReportingService

Doing that + greenifying Google Play services should solve your problem (at least it did for me). I haven't noticed any problems with my apps either, although I don't really use any of the Google ones except for the Play Store.

Try taking away all of Google Play services' permissions in app ops. Also, in disable service disable:
All of Google Backup Transports
All of Google Calendar Sync
All of Google Contacts Sync
All of Google Play Movies
Google Play Store - Content Sync Service (if this kills the play store then reenable it)
If that doesn't work then try uninstalling Play Services and reinstalling an older version without wi-fi on. After that, disable the services related to updating it.

'Google play services updating'?

I recently got a black shark 3 pro CN version from Giztop (2 days ago). Device is great and I absolutely love it. However I noticed an issue whilst using Google maps or any app that requires maps access. In Google maps, my location never gets pinpointed as nothing happens when I ask the app to access my location. Similarly, an app requiring Google maps service to work functions. I get an error saying 'google play services updating'.
Another issue I've noticed is if I use the Google play games app to launch a game, nothing happens. Which led me to the conclusion that my Google play services are not installed properly. And yes I've given permissions to all Google apps.
I've tried deleting my gapps and re-installing them using Google installer but that still hasn't fixed the issue. Please help me solve this issue, thank you.

Edit: I have solved the problem, using the steps in this link:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/dkdwie/guide_how_to_fix_gps_and_notification_issues_for/
Now Google maps and Google pay + Google play games have started responding normally!
This is not the solution.
The solution is enable all permissions and autostart in all google services and also permit no restrictions in miui battery optimization.
And the last and most important stage, Enter Locations by clicking long press on the button in the status bar, enter app permissions, choose "google play services" and click "always allow".
Thats it, you don't need to touch the supl server.
There is only one problem I found out. The Google services framework service "No restrictions" always return to "Miui battery saver" after restart and need to set it again. That make the compass on google maps to not work properly if you leave it in battery saver mode.
Hope it will help.
I'm having the same issue (Google services are updating) and did everything all Google apps & services have full permissions and still not solved.
Anyone know how to fix it.
