G Watch Impressions and Reviews - LG G Watch

Think it is time to separate from the waiting room now that people actually have the device. So, what do you think?
Overall, I am very impressed and loving the functionality. It might not look as good as the Moto 360, but I am glad I got one. As someone that checks their phone often, a device that will allow me to not do so is great. I can pay more attention to the world! I like the commands that are available and this integration with apps.

I agree, it may not be as sexy a beast as the moto360, but I really like it, does exactly what it's supposed to perfectly, and with watch band options galore that makes it better IMO, which I happen to be waiting on my metal band which I'll have next week (black stainless steel band). Fit wise I think it's damn good, a lot of people said it was big, but heck I'm 5'4" and it to me looks like a decent size, I wouldn't say it was huge or big, those people who previously reviewed it must have been anorexics or something, or really small girly arms of a pigmy, I just don't see it. The only thing I can currently complain about is it to me the touch input seems a bit sluggish like using a Froyo device, loll.

I'm very impressed after 24 hours. Love the fit and the size. Coming from the Gear 1 and gear Fit, I'm thrilled with the functionality and fit and finish of the G Watch.
I actually like the watch band, as its very comfortable to me.
Thumbs up for me.

So far so good... except I grabbed the watch but not my work badge today (first in 3 years)... priorities right? lol
Only issue I had was weird way to get ADB to work, but it is more secure because of it.
Otherwise the only thing I expected was some notifications aren't showing yet because no support from the apps. I guess I thought everything would show such as Timely even though there isn't any actionable functions for it.

I haven't been able to get many apps to work yet. Allthecooks does nothing. Navigation doesn't work. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I have been extremely happy with it. I had the original Sony Smartwatch and have the Sony Smartwatch 2 and the LG G Watch is much nicer. I haven't had any trouble with the navigation working, IT has worked just like it is supposed to for me.

There's a problem with paid apps not loading correctly:
http://mashable.com/2014/07/07/android-wear-bug/
I did get runtastic pro to work though which works really well. I hope customization gets better though. I would like to prioritize which card is on the watch face, like keeping weather above all, and having music controls be a little more intuitive, for example letting me prioritize which command should be on the face, ie., skip instead of pause.

Both these apps work perfectly for me. You may have something going on. I would post in Q&A if you haven't already.

Kangxi, how well did you find the navigation to be, I asked "directions to work" and it's starts on the watch with the address, but quickly closed out, i picked my phone up and it's on there and it directs me from my phone, but I was under the impression that I'd be able to use the watch.
Edit: never mind I think it may be working now.

I'm noticing maybe I was right that most notifications should at least show a card as long as the cause an alert sound/vibrate. I just had Ingress pop up on my watch. Same info as notification, only option is to open on phone, no map or image of portal but maybe in future.
Might also needed a couple hours of cook in time for the app to really work as it should took off charge at 8am 43% on watch... S4 well already hit 20% and had been recharging now.... damn phone.
Edit: Just thought of something... I wonder when Google Fit will show me cards to drink more water based on Accelerometer positioning and how long it detects sound of me going pee. HAHA

so far for me battery is stellar, took off charger at 7:30am, and here at 5:15pm i'm at 71%

I think it's a very well rounded device, coming from a pebble it definitely can do far more with less effort, and having built in wear companions to some of my favorite apps out of the box makes it a no brainer, and really simple. Whereas pebble was restricted to calls, texts, hangouts, facebook updates/messages, i've gotten notifications for basically anything, without having to set it up individually through some other extended app on wear.
It's also pretty neat to have a device that's essentially android at its core, so far no apps i've tried provide any useful functionality, but just the sheer fact that i've gotten facebook to the login screen in itself is quite incredible. gives me hope for the future.
I'm probably in the minority here, but i love the moto 360's design overall, yet that black bar kills it for me. That's why i didn't hesitate to get this, because i have no interest in it unless they fix it somehow.
Overall, i'm very happy with my purchase and i'm really excited to see where this goes in the coming months/years. I think google has a winner on their wrists. There are some things like voice recognition that i wish were slightly more accurate, but it's minor things like that which can easily be ironed out with a software update.
Overall +1 to LG and El Goog. Cheers.

I also can no get Runtastic Pro to work. Only the regular version.
Can we keep the Runtastic card on the screen instead of it going back to the watch?

I can read it no problem in bright sunshine with a dimmed display, don't really know why everyone says it's so bad.

My friend tested G Watch and compared them with own SW2. Here is the photo at sunlight and I'm litte bit confused. He says that brightness was on 100%.

Any way to remove wifi nag notification?

I know the wifi nag can be annoying because of its uselessness and persistence. It seems minor to me considering what wonderful potential this phone has- when I root and rom and all that. But if anyone knows a way to turn is off for stock....
Not at the moment. The trick that worked on the SG3 doesn't work for us.

The wifi icon in the notifications. When wifi is turned off the notification stays on always, to let you know- i guess , that wifi is an option for you to use. Like I didn't already know that the phone has wifi and I can use it when I wish. That wifi icon is basically a permanent short cut to wifi settings. I know seems strange, but Im fine to live with it for a bit. It goes away when you turn on wifi.
that was not nice to plaster that there

That's the thing, I never use WiFi. It's about the only thing that stops me from saying the Dinc 4G is perfect out of the box...in my experience so far. It just clutters up a person's notification panel for absolutely no good reason. I hope VZ themselves take it off, but maybe I'm too optimistic Yea, it's a little thing, but it's an odd move that almost seems like a mistake. I mean, what's the difference with a WiFi widget? I use the BlueTooth widget and Hotspot and Brightness widgets, why not put all those up in there too? We should have the option to disenable it, especially if you own the phone outright...and I'm just speaking on a stock level. But I'm also hopeful that some bright person will find a way and salvage that space back from our panel.
it's something I'm personally working on,
I'm quite certain Nitsuj17 is as well
it's quite annoying and every trick known for sense 4 isn't working.
hopefully with time.
I also think HTC messed up BIG time ridding our quick settings.

Yeah some of the other newer phones are coming with that as well. Think it's the "new thing" for big red.
Right, in the Galaxy SIII forums they hypothesize that this constant notification is an effort to have users data be on WiFi (and off their 4G network) as much as possible. I've tried playing with SQLite Editor and "wifi_networks_available_notification_on" in the settings storage as posts like this describe, but find the database is locked, and any attempts to change that have bricked my Incredible 4G. So I hope someone else figures this out!

Bricked, as in the phone won't turn on or get past the boot screen. The system files are quite fragile, while I managed to get this setting changed, it wouldn't reboot so that I could see if it worked. But its not my first time at the rodeo, and I had TWRP recovery to get me out of that state, and into a new ROM, which is the only way I think this little nuisance gets removed. Nitsuj17's ROM, for example, has this feature on their To-Do list, but it probably isn't their top priority.

So you weren't bricked then. You can't recover a brick which is why it is called that.
As for the nag, everyone wants to get rid of it so it is being looked in to.

Bad lag when coming off the net

As title, everything else is fine but when coming off the net and going to straight to texing, contacts or calls, there's bad lag, I've turned animation off also disabled s voice and stopped quite a few apps running in the background, but still there. For such a so called state of the art quick phone, this carry on badly Let's it down

That's because of 1gb ram
The launcher redraws making the phone unusable for a short period of time .
Bad architecture.
I thought that would be good, obviously it's not......I know the external ram/memory's better but it's the internal one that counts when operating.....so that's it then, I'm stuck unless I change phones

I just tested you scenario on my phone running stock rooted rom ELLA guess it depends on what you mean by a bad lag.
Tried from stock browser to messaging and stock browser to contacts and its almost instant just as long as it take to tap the home button to close the browser and tap the icon to open messaging or contacts, can't actually time.
Tried it from a 3rd party browser the same way and the same results basically tap home to close and tap icon to open app for contacts or messaging.
I have not disabled animations or anything like that, but just wondered if you have anything like virus scanners or app managers running on your phone as they may casue delays.
Nope no virus scanners ect ect running, and anything I found running I didnt need/want (and it was quite a few) I turned off
When I say in real time, it's about 3-5 seconds, that's going back to the home screen coming from the net, it doesnt matter if I press soft key back button or the hard key in the middle, it's bad either way
These phones are expensive enough

Just had a look to see how many processes are running in the application manager and there are 17, it isn't something that has bothered me so I have not stopped anything it just does what it does. I can say the process from pressing the home button to close either the stock browser or third party browser is almost instant at any time, its just press then the app is closed, it isn't something I can time but would guess at about half a second, it realy is just press and its closed.
As I mentioned I am running the stock rooted ELLA non branded UK rom and I don't have any lag anywhere, I know this doesn't help you solve the problem of the lag but if you are on the same rom maybe do a foctory reset, clear the cache and dalvik in recovery then set up the phone again.it will be a littile slow for the first day but after that it should run properly, without lag.
Don;t forget to backup contacts etc if you do decide to do this, it may be worth a try.
How do I tell if I'm on this ella
It's either try that or get a diffirent make......this lag's really pissing me off, it's doing it all the time

It's 4.1.2 but 19300BWELK1 not ELLA is this what's wrong and causing lag
Can I go on the other one to sure it...if it's oing back and I'll get a diffirent make, I'm not having a £400+ phone and this crap
Christ my old HTC Desire S is faster than this depsite less of everything
1GB RAM combined with poor ram management isn't exactly a good combo.

LTE means Long-term evolution and implies the use of 4G networking. A lot higher speeds than HSPA+.
I didnt realise it's the Note 2....it's even bigger than the S3, and I'm just about managing with one with this, It'd be 2 hands with the other one
Is there anyway the S3's ram can be doubled or no

Yes, kind of. It's called "S3 LTE" and is a different phone from the normal S3. The S3 LTE has the model number i9305 and has similar hardware to the i9300. What differs though is 2GB's of ram and an LTE capable modem chip.
Ok, but it's a physically bigger phone, and like I say, I'm just managing the size of the S3 with 1 hand, I'd be back to using 2 with the other

That's good to hear. Physics would suggest that a larger device also acts as a better antenna.
I switched from the samsung infuse to this one and as far as I can tell the GPS on this is great that was one of my huge factors when I switched to this. All in all I have noticed it locks on within 5 to 15 seconds not to much longer and not once has it dropped on me even in the most remote of areas.

Sorry to bring this back up... I had no problems with GPS, but the last 2 weeks I have been having terrible issues. It is constantly getting off track when travelling in the car. Losing contact with GPS... especially right before I get to a major turn in the directions. Taking forever to relock. I did a full factory reset and that didn't help.
Anyone with any ideas? I sure do not want to have to pay for insurance replacement.
Perhaps atmospheric anomalies or problems with the GPS system itself ?
Lose GPS when connecting or disconnecting power
I have found that I lose GPS if I connect or disconnect power. This usually happens when I get into the car while playing Ingress and I reconnect the power. It is easy to overcome as I just turn off and on the GPS from the Notification Panel. It is obnoxious however. Can anyone else test to see if this is happening to them?

At this point I have not solved the problem. I did find that clearing the cache will alleviate the problem for a short while but it comes back. I did a support chat with Samsung and that was the first thing they had me do. Also when I loaded the new firmware update, same thing since that cleared the cache too. Samsung said to call back after testing the cleared cache step but I have not gotten around to it yet. I did find that if you have the GPS die that just hitting the GPS off and on from the notification drawer will restart it, but you probably already knew that. Glad to know that I am not the only one experiencing this issue. I am holding out hope that this will be fixed with 4.3 whenever it comes out. Otherwise I will have to do something drastic.
I also find that if I am using my GPS and bluetooth for a period time while my phone is in it's case then the GPS dies. When I remove the phone from the case it is very warm and the GPS does not come back to life from restarting it, but give it a minute to, I assume, cool down out of the case then it starts working.

Well crap. That means that the problems we are having are not software related (unless it is a kernel issue). I was hoping/waiting for the KitKat update to see if that solved but now I don't have that much confidence it will.
Wait, my bad. This rom you have is a stock rom so it could still be a software issue. Oh well I guess I will still wait.

I have i9205, stock 4.2.2. GPS is excellent. Locks on within a few seconds (very, very occasionally takes maybe 20 secs) & I've never lost sync.

So I have been reading on AT&T forums and the Note 3 had the same problem. I have even gone into the AT&T store and tried this, unplugging a Note 3 while it had a GPS lock, and it loses the GPS just like the Note 3. Well the Note 3's Kit Kat update came out and the people reporting the issue before are reporting no issue now with 4.4. So there is hope that Kit Kat will solve this one complaint I have with the Mega.
The GPS on the Sprint Mega sucks complete ass. Will never lock more than 1 out of at least 22 detected satellites. Note 3 is on top and Mega is on the bottom. I'm going to discontinue use of my Mega until Sprint and Samsung fix this garbage.

Hi I got my Oneplus 2 today, it was purchased from China and imported to India and hence had the color OS, hand to install Oxygen OS as Color OS does not have google on it.
The phone feels heavy, looks great and is quite comfortable to hold
Got my hands of Oxygen OS and just finished installing, one remark on the same unlike other phones where you need to install a custom recovery to file the zip, in Oxygen I could just boot into recovery and install the zip file which is a great thing for the novice users as they will not be required to install custom recovery.
So i installed the OS without any issue took 5 minutes booted up quickly signed up into google and the phone was set up
Observation the phone heated while installing the backup apps which was not heavy use as why installing apps and syncing gmail will send more updates on the heating issue as i start using the phone.
I configured the fingerprint scanner though it takes some time to scan the fingerprint however it unlocks pretty quicky though there is an issue reported by one of the earlier reviewers that it stops working after sometime will update on that as I use the phone
Camera has not been tested so will take some night pictures today and upload them.

My impressions after 2 days: nice feel in the hand, better than my s6. Screen looks washed out coming from Samsung amoled. Fingerprint reader is useless. Apart from the lack of a click which makes the button feel weird, it only works half the time and is always slow. The hardware buttons could be more sensitive. Using the Fingerprint reader as a home key is not great, doesn't always register a touch. On screen works fine. UI feels like stock Android. Missing scheduled do not disturb and not much customisation (no battery icon options etc). Bluetooth and wifi are working without any problems. Wouldn't play an HD movie on Google play, seemed to be lagging but later worked fine. Apart from that, seems snappy. No overheating. Withe general usage, battery life seems very good. Very good. Whilst on paper it falls short in every important specification when compared with the s6 (and the absence of wireless charging is a big thing for me, as is NFC) I must say that I love the phone. Reminds me of my HTC HD2! I am a person who buys the latest flagship every 3 months. I have to confess, I succumbed to the hype with this phone and don't regret it! I got the A2001 version from Oppomart. LTE works fine on Telstra in Sydney.
Edit : I should add that the audio through headphones is very good too. And after using for a few days now, battery life is still impressive.

FYI the finger print reader and capacitive buttons are much more responsive in the latest version of hydrogen os. This adds up as all the reviews I have seen are using newer oxygen os firmware are also reporting minimal issues with the finer print reader. We just have to wait for someone to post the latest firmware.
Ugh. Have the money set aside to buy this phone but can't justify the extra cost if it doesn't work on ATT LTE.

I have been using it for the four days now and there are no issues with fingerprint reader the issue is how you place the finger on it once you get that right you will not have an issue
Also a cool feature just scan you finger and the phone will automatically come out of standby mode and unlock no need to press power buttom or double tap
Hey guys. Question here.
In this review from (video in Russian language) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvwFkLTG-Cw
they've mentioned that on high volume the speaker is suffering awful croaking, but they are not sure if they got defective device or is at a software issue for example. Can anyone comment how is the speaker of the phone in terms of loundenss and quality? (the one (or two) in the bottom from which the sound of ringtone comes out.
Thanks in advance

I have had the phone for a few weeks, since the 4th of August. I can tell you that there definitely is an issue. Reviewers have also pointed towards this fact. In some instance the finger print reader refuses to unlock the phone. Using a pin or pattern unlocks the phone. Unlocking after that works again. Some reviewers have also commented that the fingerprint reader stops working till you reboot. I have used the latest version of HydrogenOS, and can confirm that the fingerprint reader is more reliable and the initial configuration asks you to scan the edge of you finger in addition to the normal scans.

No problems for me. I have watched a few youtube videos on it. Ringtones and alerts are loud and clear. Sound only comes out the right speaker holes. One thing that is annoying is the equaliser software. If you turn it off the sound from the speaker is completely flat and very quiet. If you turn it on the sound is too loud at low volumes, but quality is much improved. You can play with the equaliser settings to improve this and strike a balance, but I would imagine the defaults will be fixed in future OTA updates.
I have not used Hydrogen OS uninstalled it as soon as I got my phone however i can confirm there is no such issue in Oxygen OS yes i did scan my finger print in Hydrogen OS when I got it and it has a very different UI to that of Oxygen I guess Oxygen uses Google API and UI's however Hydrogen has a custom built UI dont know what is in the backend
And in that i think lies the issue

My initial impressions of the Oneplus 2
It's Here!
Finally, I have it. The Oneplus 2 was delivered to me on Friday (didn't actually got my hands on it until Sunday).
Bought the device officially from Oneplus on wednesday and they shipped it on Thursday so that was fast! And thanks to DHL of course for the speedy delivery.
I have now used the device for a day and here are my few impressions of it. I will do a larger review later on.
What's in the box
The box is very nice (picture at the end). In the box you find:
The phone (it has a screenprotector installed at the factory)
Power Brick
USB-C cable (the power brick/USB end is also reversible)
Basic use guide etc
So again no headphones. Many have questioned why, but you have to remember the price point of the device and providing headphones would increase the price and knowing Onelus, they don't want to provide some ****ty "samsung like" headphones just because headphones
Build quality and feel
The device feels superb on hand when first lifted from the box. The phone feels really sturdy thanks to the metal edges (like in Galaxy S6 and other premium phones). The device is heavier than it's predecessor.
Build quality is not a problem on this phone. The new StyleSwap covers are now easy to take off and install (pretty much the same as for example on Note series backplates) and there is a hole in the bottom for easy uninstall. I bought the Kevlar and Black Apricot StyleSwaps with the phone and the hard part is to decide which one to use. I am starting to like the Black Apricot one better.
Software
So no more Cyanogen but is this a bad thing? Hard to say really at the moment, also my opinion might be little biased as I pretty much hate anything coming from CM.
So as said the phone comes with Oneplus inhouse ROM called OxygenOS which has now a matured to 2.0 stage.
As I have had the phone just a under 24hours I won't be saying much of the OxygenOS yet, but I have to say that at this stage I would expect more. The ROM is pretty basic vanilla Android with few tweaks like Dual Sim support (more on this little later) and a Dark UI mode etc.
Coming from a custom rom / CyanogenOS world this a step backwards if you like customization features. Oneplus has said that there will be an OTA update soon to bringing more stuff and fixes, so we will see.
Haven't found any big bugs yet but the camera app is also pretty basic and doesn't have lot of options. But I haven't used the camera much so I won't judge it yet
Snapdragon 810 - hot or not
I tested the "boiling/overheating" with a little gaming session (nothing fancy or really heavy) with few small games (i don't usually play games on my phone).
The phone heats from the topside but for me it's nothing to get worried about. I have seen samekind of heating with the S6 and other phones. But I will need to test longer and heavier games.
I haven't run any benchmarks and don't think I even will as they don't show the "real world usage".
Unique features
Oneplus 2 comes with few unique features that are not very common in flagship phones. I will go through few of them here.
Dual sim
Oneplus 2 supports Dual Sim configuration which is pretty big thing nowadays. Ok, it's a feature that many propably won't need all the time but it actually is a great feature. I haven't had a dual sim phone before so I was pretty eager to see if it would have any value to me.
The phone uses Dual Sim Dual Standby mode (DSDS) and you can configure which sim is used for different tasks (mobile data, texts and phone calls). Text and phone call options can be configured so that the phone asks which sim will be used when you make a call or send a text.
I have configured that texts and calls are from the SIM1 (my main sim) and mobile data comes from SIM2 as my main sim has a sloooow mobile data so i will use my unlimeted 4G data sim for the mobile data.
As I mentioned the dual standby mode that the phone uses means that if my SIM2 is using mobile data and I get a call to the SIM1 number the mobile data connection will be disconnected until i disconnect the call / reject it. Both sims can receive call but when there is a call coming to either on the other one will be "dead". So if you are on phone call thrue your SIM1 and someone tries to call you to SIM2 number he will get a message that the number can't be reached / call will be transferred to voicemail.
I think I am going to enjoy this feature as it gives me more room and will be good when travelling.
Fingerprint reader
Yes, Oneplus 2 has a fingerprint reader. Oneplus #hyped the feature a lot and even said that it will be better and faster than the one on the iPhone.
Well, I have to be honest here. It's not. The reader is pretty good reading the fingerprint but it isn't as good or fast than the counterpart. Few times the phone hasn't recognized my fingers at all and sometimes the home button (reader is integrated to the capacitive button) just doesn't react to the finger at all.
There is also a setting that allows you top wake the screen and unlock it by just putting your finger to the scanner (like in few Huawei phones etc). This feature also works pretty well but sometimes the phone doesn't wakeup when you put your finger on the scanner.
There should be a OTA coming what should fix these things so let's hope it comes soon.
Conclusion
So the initial impression? Brilliant device with few quirks and pretty basic software. The software part is the part which needs to come better and it should come soon. For me...well let's just say that I will wait for the custom rom developers to bring their magic on this phone.
Oh, almost forgot. THERE IS NO NFC on this phone and there never will be. I don't actually need it and when NFC is actually really really useful here (hint: android pay) we will have the Oneplus 3 or even 4 already.
All in all, at the moment I am really impressed by the phone and hardware, but I want to see lot of improvement on the software side.
Few pictures attached too

Major screen issues after Jan 26 update

A few hours after yesterday's upgrade, my mostly new (6 months) S21+ started having display/screen issues.
I have googled this but found nothing similar. There appears to be a repetitive shape (puzzle like) on the phone that makes things super hard to read, and there is something like green, black and purple bleeding. Photos attached.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
I have filed a repair service ticket since the phone is still under warranty, but since I am abroad it will be a pain to get it fixed.
My next step before mailing the phone to the US for repair, is to do a factory reset as recommended by tech support.
But I am just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and if it can be repaired easily.

That ain't pretty...
What does it look like with ScreenTest?
Looks like hardware. Could be the download/install got corrupted; I really don't like OTA updates.
Factory reset. If it's still doing it it's likely hardware. A lot of Samsung display failures in the last year it seems. It will at the very least need to be reflashed.
Make sure to backup all critical data...
I haven't tried ScreenTest... I will try it now
Yeah.... I am backing everything up before doing the factory reset.
Thanks for your reply
So I ran the screen test, red, green and blue and black and everything looks good... this is so weird?
Then I powered off the phone and back on and the green purple bleeding is much less. The text is now mostly readable. The weird puzzle shape is still there.
I guess the next step should be the factory reset?

Try clearing the system cache... (edit)
After seeing the phone dialing screen I don't think the ScreenTest will be any better. It may give you more insight though.
Now you see why I almost never update. The current Android 9 load on this phone will be 2yo in June, still fast and stable with minimal maintenance.
Android 9 and up are reasonably secure. I wouldn't update unless the current version isn't fulfilling its mission. The Fold variants probably have the most to gain from firmware upgrades.

Not display hardware it seems... interesting.
Try clearing the system cache.
Try in safe mod.
There have been reports of older apps glitching Android 12 up. Try using the factory theme if you aren't; older Galaxy themes may not be compatible with the newer OS.

After the factory reset you will still be running on the version you just updated to. Only the user data partition gets set back to its default values.
Bear in mind what I said about safe mode (3rd party apps) and the Galaxy theme that's running.
Maybe icon packs too... what a mess.
These are known issues. May not be anything wrong with the firmware. Android is putting developers through hell trying to be compatible with 12.
You should do a factory reset but then be careful what you load. Keep an eye on it. Uninstall any app that's not compatible as you load them.
Do system app updates one at a time, they could be a culprit.
Clear the system cache again after reloading everything.
Sorry I keep editing these posts. Really all I do to sort out most problems is to play with it.
That sometimes means multiple factory resets if you can't ID the problem. Put some thought into what your doing to try to avoid that and hopefully identify the source of any issues after the reset.
FRP... wipe your Google account from the phone before you reset and do the hard reset from settings vs the boot menu. I do the same with the Samsung account as well. Getting locked out isn't pretty or simple to fix.
If you don't like the upgrade it may be possible to roll it back (reflash) if the boot loader version hasn't been upgraded too.
Good news... before proceeding with the factory reset (it scares me to do it) I removed some apps: instagram, facebook, wodify and regram. Other apps had not been updated since the last Android update, so I started updating them one by one: messenger, google maps, google photos, instagram.
Now the phone is 90% better!!
Yay. 90%? Still display issues?
I would ditch those social media apps, they are malware in of themselves

Try using a fixed frequency like 60hz for the display. See if/how that effects it.
Does brightness level effect it? Full brightness?
Is it doing that in safe mode now?

Let me google how to use a fixed frequency
I am not on safe mode, but I tried it and it looks the same.
Brightness does affect it... it looks a bit better. Actually it seems like brightness has diminished. Before I barely had the brightness set to like 10%... now that is too dark and the weird shapes show more. If I increase the brightness it looks better

See if there's any system app updates on Playstore for it.
If you're in the US you can take it to a Samsung Experience center at a participating Best Buys store. They can run more advanced diagnostics on it or may know just by seeing it.

You're welcome. Sorry to see you're having so much trouble with it.
Play with the new firmware and see if you like it.
If you like the previous version better the Experience Center may be able to flash it back to that version.
