As a personal opinion, all skins released so far are so useless. (Now, even though I am also a developer, though I do ASP.net.) I dont like to say that the work of someone else is bad. afther all they did put work into it. but on most of them you cant even read the time (main purpose of a watch is to read time)
Now, if someone were to make a skin that looked like
That would actually be readable.

The problems with round watch faces and a square watch.. This would be perfect for the moto360 but as the g watch is square you lose a lot of room and it just looks weird. i personally just use the digital watch interface, nice and clean. and yes you can read the time xD

Hi,
I just installed it and I do like it. I've just one suggestion, it is currently 08.09 in UK time. The watch says:
Code:
Eight
Nine
This is technically correct, but it looks a little bit strange. Maybe it could read
Code:
Eight
Zero
Nine
or have some other delimiter between the hours and the minutes when the minutes are less than ten? Unless of course that is what you wanted, in which case, ignore me
Just a thought, thank you.
EDIT: It is now 08:13 but the watch shows:
Code:
Eight
Thir
Then
Code:
Eight
Four
The end of the word gets chopped off when the screen goes to standby mode.

Thanks for the feedback!
It seems that the Wear does strange things with layouts in suspended mode, and words get chopped.
We've just uploaded a new version which fixes that. It'll be live in a few hours.
Regarding the text, we follow the pebble pattern, and it shows no "zero" if minutes are less than 10.
We are trying several combinations to separate the hours from the minutes like bolding the hours. Keep posted

That's brilliant! Thank you.
I'll try the updated version when it is live and leave you a nice 5 star review
EDIT: Sorry, could I be cheeky and ask for one request?
Might you consider supporting the 24 hour clock, e.g:
Code:
Fourteen
Seventeen

I really hope this watch beats out the pebble with apps. Well android wear in general I guess.

Try the "resync apps" option. Maybe it will show up after this.

Would it be possible to port over the extra watch faces from the Gear Live? I've seen a couple on there that look pretty cool.

I wonder if there are a set of apk's in the system dump poster in the Gear Live's thread. I would love some of those, but it's likely they would need to be modified for our G Watch's smaller display. Hopefully someone with the skill and time will come along and try.

WatchMaker - Short Review

I've had my LG G Watch for about 2 weeks now. Have really enjoyed all the extended function from my phone. The only thing I wished I could do was customize/personalize the watch face.
Enter Watch Maker
This has several pre made watch faces to use, but the best part is the ability to make your own. After messing with the background or the different pre made modules, I found the "Expressions" to be the most full-filling. Being able to customize to the point of having current weather, forecasted weather, calendar events, battery levels (phone and/or watch), and numerous other information available to display on the watch face is great. Not only that, but can also select which components are on when screen is bright or dim. Super satisfied with spending 99 cents for this app! My watch is now, MY WATCH!:good:
yes! Watchmaker is totally worth it ! I have bought it too.
Can you share a picture of your watchface ?

I'm still rocking kit kat and do not know of a convenient way to screenshot my watch face yet. any ideas are welcome, thanks
Don't think you can screenshot your watch but you can grab a screenshot from your phone and post here or take a photo of your watch
I have bought Facer, WatchMaker and this program...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=no.intellicom.lswatchface&hl=en
I have used the first two to easily load premade faces from this page...
http://facerepo.com/app/faces/?face...tchmaker&shape=square&sortOrder=newest&page=1
and used Watch Faces to make my own as well as load from their pre made gallery.
The coolest is to take pictures of your kids with this program..

You can easily take screenshots if you have the Android SDK installed on your computer and Java.
Install the SDK and the necessary API for Android Wear, open the "Tools" folder and double click on Monitor.bat

i was able to get a screenshot by "Sharing" my own watchface and emailing it to myself. i really like this watchface because i can have "Large Cards" on the screen and still see the time date and temp.
also have done tests. if set to not "Always On" and not "Tilt to Wake" (have to touch it to wake it) i get 2 days easy with this watch face.
here's the watchface template you can import.
Screenshot on android wear
Most have android wear app installed. Look in the 3 dots at right of app. Options for a screen shot is there, but watch face has to be active(lit up).

This one, from the play store. Nothing special that I know of, although it does make me curious why they would be different. Note: mine also has view and report wearable bug reports also.

Interesting and glad to hear that worked, although I was on KitKat as well. Happy ending with the mystery still unsolved I guess. Cheers
So far, Watchmaker has been "pretty good" in my opinion. I've quite frequently received errors stating that Android Wear has stopped responding. I only ever get that when using Watchmaker, and recently it's happened often enough that I started using Zooper with Wear Widgets. There's a similar interface to build your watch face but a bit more set up and it requires the purchase/installation of two separate apps and installation of a third (boo).
The upside... I've had NO errors with Zooper and Wear Widgets (you will likely need to restart phone and watch after install though, or you will have issues) AND the expressions seem more refined, with the calendar reflecting 12hr time correctly and next events for following days showing appropriately. Rich text boxes with expressions and carriage returns. Battery life is close to the same as with Watchmaker so it still is a bit of a drain, especially with all I've got going on on my watch face.
Drawbacks: It's just an image of the widget from your phone that updates every minute (or as often as you like, though anything other than a minute or less makes a clock almost worthless). Oh... and no watch battery indicator that I've been able to find, but I just swipe down to see that. The screen will dim but you don't appear to be able to tell it to only show certain elements.

[APP] KOKO for Wear - Screen Timeout - v1.7

AFH Link (Indefinitely option removed)
Play Store Link (Indefinitely option included)
Change the default screen timeout! Keep On Keeping On keeps your screen on!
The default screen timeout interval on Android Wear is too short!
Having such a short timeout makes it difficult to perform tasks that require pauses or to demonstrate features for an audience.
Using KOKO (Keep On Keeping On) you can keep your screen on longer!
Choose from many timeout options ranging from 5 seconds to 2 hours. Or keep your screen on indefinitely!
Please allow a few minutes for the app to be installed on the wearable after installing to mobile device.
Please be aware that setting a long screen off time will affect your battery life.
Now use wrist gestures in KOKO to select your screen timeout without touching your watch!!!!
Feel free to message us with requests for timeout intervals if you can't find one that works for you.
Thanks for trying it out and any feedback you may have.
I thought payed apps are allowed here ONLY, if also a free Version is pushed!
Free version coming soon for XDA, sorry for the delay. Created post on mobile and will update when I get to desktop.
Thread re-opened.
Again, sorry for the delay in getting the free version up. But it's there (OP) now. Please leave feedback if you find any issues.
Free one crashes on my G Watch and a friend's Gear Live, we are both running 5.1.1w, I can provide a log later or tomorrow if needed.

Okie dokie, I'll look into that. They work on the emulator so I may have to wait until I get 5.1.1 on my Moto360 to diagnose it. Maybe the default timeout was increased in 5.1.1?

I don't really think so because I think that's what it always was for me even on 4.4 and 5.0, I think 30s always the default, that's why I was hoping your app would let me decrease that time.
That is long for default. On my Moto is was like 4 seconds, that's why I made this app. I don't really want the app to force screen off, just keep it on. Maybe it's a build.prop setting? Are you rooted? Running a custom ROM? I'm neither.
EDIT: I see you are indeed rooted by your sig, maybe it's something in your ROM?

I just have root and a custom kernel, didn't modify anything in the ROM, and I did keep the watch not rooted for a long time and that's just the screen on time I always had by default, I can't see anything in build.prop that I could modify to lower the screen on time, I also used some other apps from Play Store on older android versions to do that but they have not been updated in a long time and thus don't work anymore. I was hoping your app would allow me to do that but I understand if you don't want to give that option, I will learn java in my next year of college so I might try to make my own app to do that afterwards, thank you for your work anyway, it's good to have it for those that want longer screen on time.
I was thinking off how to implement the screen off, how to know when the users not still interacting? Maybe a transparent overlay on the entire screen that listens for touches and after each touch resets a timer that when reaches its end turns off the screen? But this would require the DRAW OVER APPS permission and a Service to add the overlay to WindowManager. If I get some time I'll see if I can slap a demo together.

coal686's Gear Fit 2 Watch Face Thread

Coal686's Gear Fit 2 Watch Face Thread
While perusing the watch faces in the Samsung store, I realized that all the ones I wanted were paid. I couldn't find a free face that included a link to the weather app and a link to music controls. So, following the XDA way, I decided to make my own and to share them for free with you all. Since it is easiest to install them from the Samsung store, I've created an account there and so that's where you can find them (once they get listed). Search there by the name of the watch face that you are looking for.
I'd love some feedback. Also, I do take requests, but I may not act on them. As most people here, I have real life commitments that take up a majority of my time.
This is my first attempt:

Thanks, I look forward to you being able to try it. Certification is a little slower process than I thought it would be. It's in the certification process as "Under Device Test" so I'm guessing someone manually installs it on their Gear Fit 2 and makes sure it doesn't blow up the device or something.
As for how I learned, start by downloading the Gear Watch Designer program. I used Samsung's tutorial on how to use the program to get started. Then a lot of trial and error and reading up on their forum. Unfortunately, not a lot of information was found here or on the web for that matter (maybe too many people trying to keep things secret so they can charge money). If I find time, I'll try writing a tutorial or something.
I look forward to seeing some of your stuff!
My fav
Great job!
Wonderful to see people getting into dev mode.
Well, it took Samsung a week and a half to notice that THEIR asset has a XII in place of IV. My watchface got rejected for that one reason. So, I fixed their asset and reuploaded. As soon as it goes live, I'll let you all know.
Yeah! Watch face approved. Search in the Samsung Gear app under AnalogBlack.
Remember, if you have a request, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.
i am looking a watchface with barometer and altimeter, the only one in the store put too many elements on the screen and is very difficult to press an item without interference

recent installed your watchface. Well done Coal686
Very functional for me.
thanks for this job.
PD: If you dont mind, can you make the same watchface with digital time?
Thanks a lot
i'd like a digital watch with info for steps, Kcal, heart, weather and off course altimeter/barometer (with manual calibration option or if it is possible calibrated from GPS in auto mode )
if remain a little space also a battery indicator (it would be nice a simple row at the bottom)
i don't like very much material better a supertech way

Yours was easiest so I started with it. Wasn't sure if you wanted 12 hr or 24 hr time so I did one of each. Both are approved in the Samsung Store. Look for DigitalBlack24h or DigitalBlack12h. I'll post screenshots tomorrow.

Cool story bro.
Sent from a Glade Plugin.
another idea
the fit has a gps so it would be nice to be able to read some info about position on a watchface
is it possible?

i'd like a digital watch with info for steps, Kcal, heart, weather and off course altimeter/barometer (with manual calibration option or if it is possible calibrated from GPS in auto mode )
if remain a little space also a battery indicator (it would be nice a simple row at the bottom)
i don't like very much material better a supertech way

I like all of your ideas, but I am limited by what the Gear Watch Designer program can do and by my own knowledge of how to use it. I especially like the idea of somehow incorporating GPS since I know the device does track that when you run. I'm wondering if some of the watch faces in the store use the Samsung SDK instead of the GWD program and that gives them more advanced functionality.
On a side note, I wanted to let you know that I'm sorry I haven't had time to work on your ideas. I'm in the process of upgrading parts in my laptop and desktop, so I haven't been able to work on watch faces recently.
Don't tell my boss, but I had been doing them here at work when he was out of office. :highfive: However, after I fix up my home gear, I'll be able to work on them at home and hopefully will be more productive on them.
no problem i also want to try GWD but my time after work is really very very low
and my knowledge of GWD also lower
i have seen an interesting sofware from neonto (it seems powerfull) but is only MAC
i'll wait for better days

When will they learn?! they could have added an option to create themes! People love to play with that and create their own style . I was expecting for them to realize that by now, the same with samsung and pretty much with many of the other brands. (apple never lol, forced to 1 style)

yes!!! just like the wide variation of cm themes. I could happily live with the stock rom and root of course (for adway) which we are practically there already! if they had that amount of themes or even more!

He didn't. I did! He's just testing my theme for me since I don't even have the phone!
Might be releasing tonight (light version). We'll have to see how much time I have and how quickly these testers can get back to me showing results.

LG likely won't let people put themes on their store. I am approved to make apps on their store but they will not let me upload themes, keyboards or home themes (icon packs) to their smart world app. They're not very open that way and like to have control of the market in that sense. They go by an alias called neocyon or something on the store. I'll have to settle for playstore only. So I'll have a free version and a pro version for a buck or two on play soon enough.
Need another tester? I have off hours here and there throughout the day to run things through their paces
I will go to replace my V20 for a new one today. Since themes cannot cause bricks on phones, you can count me in to be a tester .
Any tutorial planned?

Never say never! Although it is highly unlikely. Generally an overlay will just fail to apply if there's an error

My theory on that is if I can manage to do this without even having the phone then people with the phone can figure out how to do it given they have a tremendous advantage over me in that regard! So I will not likely be making one.

Now that you are saying that, there was a time i installed a rom in my lg g3 and i applied a theme and the theme soft bricked the device. Even if i wiped the data, cache, or internal storage or everything else, it would pass from boot screen. Then i had to reinstall the rom again. But since the lg v20 has a stock firmware and not a cm or aosp based rom then it is highly unlikely for it to get bricked by themes.

What kind of keywords would be needed to search for your themes when they appear? Or will you be linking to each one directly?

It is C by default, I am from Poland so my native unit is Celsius
Found it, was buried in settings
Awesome watchface, many thanks for sharing it @ZduneX25
That's what i'm talking about At last someone created very impressive watch face. Something new and very beautiful with weather, date and steps information. If you will do that compitable with Amazfit Verge and with heartrate will be very very great. Can you do, ZduneX25? By the way you are from Poland? You are my neightbour (Baltic States)

Most easier way is to use this tool - https://apkinstaller.com/downloads/, very simple just connect watch and push on device (top), then just choose file and install it
Very nice work! I would really want to see the Randii version getting improved! A tip, use GreatFit's center positioning to achieve same text positions on screen on & off.
Also thank you the credits

I am sorry I do not have Verge and it is really pixel to pixel measured (at least Commander is), it took a lot of time to make it fit while testing so I can tell if I am not being able to test myself then no go.

I thought so when I was starting, but anything I moved on active dial did not move the same on splt, but how did I miss padding for all numbers below 10 I'll fix it
EDIT: I see i removed too many settings including font_ratio, thanks!

It's ok, I understand you. Everything is fine. I just thought as author you can create Verge version too, as did GreatApo with his watch face which is cool too until now. I don't know Commander, also shared this watch face is by you, that's why I writing to you Greatings from neightbours, maybe someone else maybe have Verge, I hope :fingers-crossed: Watch face really impressive, sad that is available only for Stratos
Which file needs to be edited to change the arrangement of elements in Verge?

Original source scales images and other stuff to verge's screen that is bigger, scaling might not (and probably will not) fit, that's why i decided no to use this feature. Best Regards.

In fact I tried to install it into my Verge. There is distortion of size, but it just a some millimeters. It's not worst distortion at all. I don't know, you know this site or not https://amazfitwatchfaces.com, but they had (maybe have now too) in past tool which Stratos watch faces converted to Verge watch. Maybe it working only with .wfz I don't remember, but was possible to converted easily for Verge all Stratos watch faces. Just one thing - need to upload Stratos watch face to this site. It working today this method or it working (worked) only with .wfz file I don't know. Good luck in future works :good:

I would suggest to try making changes only in the array file and the positioning will be automatically taken care.
To keep the numbers at the same position you need to assign the align to center, however, slpt doesn't have a center positioning because strings/numbers are images. To fix that, you can "draw" your text at the center of a box and then move the whole box at the appropriate position. This along with the font ratio are automatically taken into account in the latest GreatFit sources.
Yeah I realized a bit too late, but fixed version is available for few fours now [emoji106]
