[Q] Need to install Apps as Non-market apps

I could install the apps to my HTC HD2 Android with CM7 before. After I flash my device to the AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7.2, I tried to reinstall the apps from my Market Place profile but it reported my device was not compatible to that apps. I directly download the apps and need to install the apps as non-Market apps? The apps work fine.
My question is why the apps report incompatible with my device? Not only one apps has this problem, what should I do to solve this?
Best regards,
Kelvin.
App Compatibility
Which apps have you tried re-installing?
Perhaps they aren't yet compatible with something updated in GB 2.3.7?
When they were running, what OS version was on your device?
For example the Adobe Reader. PasswordWallet, SyncMate (as I can't post the URL in the reply, apps is easily to search it out from Google)
One of the most popular instant messager in China, the QQ also reports Parse error (There is a problem parsing the package) and cannot be installed.
They claimed this firmware 2.3.7 which was optimized by non-official source.
Any suggestion that I can do the installation?
Best regards,
Kelvin.

Please Advise regarding the Chinese version of my device

Hi
I purchased Honor 7 (PLK-AL10) 64GB from Aliexpress.com but aftere received it, I found that the rom is Chinese version and I faced problem to create google accounts as other regular devices.
How can I change the Chinese rom to international version? is it available or not yet?
please advise
my regards
Not advisable to change, because it also changes the firmware for important things like GSM&LTE.
But the fix is fairly easy: go into the Huawei app store k(NOT! the google playstore) and download the the google playstore, and google contac synch. (just search for "google" and based on the icons download what you need)
Once the google playstore and contact synch work, you can forget the Huawei store.
Alternatively you can search here in XDA for "gapps" as an installable apk. Careful though, there are many fakes & infected o es out there, so stick to xda!
Free advice: when buying in china always request that they install google apps.
Thank you for your reply.
I did as you advised that to go to Chinese market and download the google play but please note that it will work temporary maybe one day or less.
My regards
I installed Gapps (Play store, contacts) from Huawei store on my Honor and it works successfully, without any problem. (but Play Store self-updated to newest version).
GMaps also works.

[7D-503L & 7D-501L & 7D-501u] More advanced stable roms, october 2017

As many OTA appered recently (summer 2017) for Mediapad X1, let's make it clear: they are just updating android security, but stay on EMUI 2 .
As a matter of comfort and performances, your goal is to run a stable non beta-buggy rom (so a Kitkat rom, as lollipop betas are quite buggy!) with EMUI 3 (far better than EMUI 2 on those devices).
For allmost 2 years now, those roms are known, and weren't replaced:
501L : install Taiwan B013.
Then root your device (using kingoroot), and just use apps like Morelocale 2 or Morlangs to add your language if necessery.
503L: install Chinese B011
Then using Huawei store (Hiapp): add google play, and google synchronisation services for contacts and calendar
501u:install chinese B011
Then using Huawei store (Hiapp): add google play, and google synchronisation services for contacts and calendar
---
Options afterward: for all models, root using kingoroot . For 503L and 501u, you can add the kangvip custom mod to your B011 rom

Google services now in rom

My latest version of the Ota update to miui 12.5 has the options for installing Google services officially now and you can also remove most factory apps as well. So happy to be able to use this beast
Does that mean the official china Rom only needs to install Playstore and everything works? Can you pls check if Google chrome is showing up on play store?
