Google Camera not working - LG G Watch

When I launch Google Camera (v2.3.019) on my Moto X, I don't see the shutter button card on my G Watch. Any ideas? I've tried rebooting the watch, completely resetting the watch, and resetting the Android Wear app on the phone.

When you open the Google camera app it defaults to lens blur for some reason change the node to camera and see if that works worked for me I was going crazy too

Nope, wasn't defaulted to Lens Blur for me on Moto X. Tried switching to Lens Blur and back to Camera and still not loading on G Watch.

It can take several seconds before it appears, and sometimes I have to swipe through a few notifications to find it...but it works fine on my S4.

Had the same, all I did to fix was uninstall and reinstall from play store, job done, you could try clearing the app data though, that might do it.

Has anyone solve the camera issue in which the card will not show on the watch? I am having the same issue as well...

camera force close

Does anyone else's camera force close when clicking on the little gallery button in the bottom right corner of the screen? It FCs every time I do it.
I'm rooted, stock, with a few customizations, but even if I go all the way back to full stock it still force closes.
This happened to me after I downloaded a flashlight app. Once I closed the flashlight app the camera worked fine. I uninstalled the flashlight and added a different one ( Tiny Flashlight + LED) and had no problems.
Are you using a flashlight app?

Good thought, interesting. I did have one installed, but it's been uninstalled since. I cleared dalvik, cleared data, but it's still happening...
Are you able to open the gallery using any other method?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
yeah, I can open it using the gallery icon,so I can still get to my pics without a new gallery app.
I've tried reinstalling both apps, odexed and deodexed. I'm thinking there's a setting the flashlight app changed that is left over from when i uninstalled it.
Can you confirm if the button ever worked properly?
When you click on the gallery button in the camera app, you're telling the phone to open the gallery app and replace the current view of the camera app with the view of the gallery app. That the two programs work independently suggests that something is wrong with the link. Either the flashlight or other app is preventing the camera app from having its' view replaced or something happened with your gallery directory like it contains 2 folders or files of the same name. Since other shortcuts seem to work I'd go with my first guess. Can programs like smemo or Photoshop access the gallery ok?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Yep, any other app that I've tried can access the gallery just fine.
It's definitely seems to be something with the way the camera is linking to the gallery.
Honestly, I can't remember if it ever worked properly. I haven't taken too many photos. In fact, this was the first time since the day I got the phone 2 weeks ago that I took a photo.
Sorry, I think we're now officially out of my depth so I may not be of much more use. If it were a program I was writing on my computer I'd go to a program that can successfully launch the gallery (SMemo, photo shop, the gallery program itself) and copy the code for launching the gallery and replace it in the camera app. I don't know how to do that in Android (yet) though. It might be worth reverting it, taking it back to AT&T and asking for a new one? If you use words like "upset" and "disappointed" you might be able to get a free goodie or two

I figured it out and it turns out I'm an idiot. I had frozen Quickview in Titanium Backup. Fixed. Thanks for your help.

NFC starts play store..

Hi all.
I am trying to transfer a photo from my wife's galaxy note 3 but everytime the phones connect, my XZU starts play store.
Any thoughts?

Interesting because on stock ROM you can't change anything. Curious are you running a custom ROM or is it stock? I just tried with my 6806 and my Note 3 and had no issues beaming to the Ultra.
Just to check, when you have NFC on, Do you also have Android Beam on as well?

You can't use NFC to transfer files. Its used to activate hardware or features. Its opening the playstore because it doesn't know what you want.
You'll need to tell it to activate android beam when tapping NFC
Don't ask me how to do that, as I've ever used beam.
Perhaps 'sony connect' from the playstore??
or
'NFC easy connect' both are by Sony Corp.

Yeah I downloaded NFC connect, this utility seems to be just for connecting to speakers etc, even with this software on the phone it does the same thing.
Weird.
Oh and I am on the stock ROM. Just upgraded to 4.3 so will see if that makes a difference.
Works from my xzu to HTC one hold them back to back android beam starts up and use ez file explorer to beam files

PushBullet

PushBullet is a neat program that allows you to quickly "push" anything you can share between specific Android devices and Chrome on a desktop. It also allows mirroring notifications from your phone to Chrome so you can see why your phone beeped without taking it out of your pocket.
Oddly, after installing PushBullet and turning Notification Mirroring on, any text typed on the LG keyboard resulted in the phone speaking the key out loud (just like when TalkBack is turned on). I downloaded Google's keyboard app and this fixed it - this is apparently a bug on the LG keyboard.
This is just FYI, in case someone does a web search looking for a solution to this problem.
I'm running an LG P769, Android 4.1.2, update 20f, rooted.

I think this phone is one big bug. I'd like to push a bullet into it with a gun....lol.

Was it a bug? When I installed I saw an option for both talk back and mirroring.

There are two opitons: Talk Back and Mirroring. With Talk Back off and Mirroring on, the stock keyboard still announced every keypress. After installing the Google Keyboard, the talking stopped. This appears to be a bug in the stock keyboard, not a bug in PushBullet.

Totally agree, I too hate this phone with a passion, I just made it worse and now no matter what I do I get apps crashing.

Always some bug with my Xperia Z2

Hi,
I have been playing with my xperia z2 for over a month now, i have 2 major issues.
1. When i am in facebook playing video, it will then show up a message saying "Sorry, but an unknown error occurred while trying to play this video"
i have tried clearing the cache or uninstall facebook. The best result is for those video that cannot be played in the beginning, it now can play but problem switched to another video
2. when talking on the phone, background noise is always higher than my voice no matter if i turned on the enhancement to reduce the background voice. It will get even worse if it is off.
any solutions to that?
I agree with you about facebook video playback. It really gets on my nerves!!! But also if u r using streaming videos on ur browser also. Same problem. I hope they fix this stupid problem.
Also proximity sensor bug. The phone sceen blackens during a call but u actually accidently click things while ur phone is on ur ears.
One lousy bug is the sound. The phone's sound volume is very loud but at sometimes all of a sudden it becomes muffled by itself and gets so low!
The one i hate most is a bug with messaging. Sometimes it doesn't becomes sooo delayed when u try opening a msg or even doesn't want to open at all.
Another one is the hotspot. Sometimes it doesn't want to be enabled. U have to restart the phone to enable it.
I have an htc one m8 and it's more stable concerning software, but i really love my Z2.
I hope they fix these bugs esp. video and msg bugs!!!

just replying to my search,
to prevent the video playback issue.
Just disable the xperia for facebook. then the problem is gone. I have not seen the issue again.
However, during the phone call, back ground noise is always louder than my voice still persist.
My issues are the soft key buttons on screen. Doesn't matter what I do the home button and the recent apps button lag horribly!

I havent been able ti use my camera since the start of times... I gave me "unfortunately, camera has stopped error", stupid thing is I'm in no shape to return this piece of junk, because I world in a jungle with EGDE internet, and I can't go back to civilized world for another month... I've tried a reset, factory reset, uninstall updates, flashing firmwares from other countries... so, I reached a conclusion, that Sony can't manufacture smartphone...

my friend had this camera issue before, he have done all the things you have done before.
the only option is to return the phone to Sony for repair, it takes less than 4 hours even on sunday (local agreement of repairing)
so it wasn't that bad...
Issue was he dropped the phone and the connection from camera to the board is broken(this is was sony said)

Google Photos Not Syncing When Managed Manually in Battery Options

I have the Google Photos app set to be managed manually in power settings but the pictures still do not sync when I take them with the camera. I need to manually open the app to get the sync to start.
Ive been reading around and it seems on other phones modifying this option fixes the issues, but not on the mate 20 pro.
Is anyone else experiencing the same?
Same problem as you. Still there on Android 10 beta.

Damn, was hoping Android 10 would fix this issue. I wonder why its happening, turning off the battery saver features allows all my other apps to function in the background.
I think it's an app issue, it's also happening on other devices of mine such as Xiaomi. At some point I'll try rolling back to an earlier version of the app and see if it's working.
You all obviously didn't get the memo or notification that Google photo no longer backups automatically.
This might help..

This is not related to what we are talking about, we're not worried about anything to do with google drive. Just the Photos application auto-syncing in the background - works on some phones and not others.
