Tech21 Impact Tactical Case - G3 Accessories

I just picked this up on my local TMO store. It's really nice and thin and offers great shock protection as usual from Tech21. The D3O technology is pretty cool.

Can you post some pictures of the aux cable opening please? How does it feel in your hand? Is it slippery?

This is my G2 today after a year in this same case from the Tom store. Got it free because of all the trade in
credits when we swapped carriers. As you can see not a Mark, scratch, or chip on it. I consider myself as hard a user as anyone as I work full time in an office in IT related work and also spend evenings and weekends doing electrical work in houses and wiring in cars. The kind with heavy tools, long drops, sweat and nearly crushing it once a day. It fell off a roof, out of a car, off a moving car, my wife even threw it across a parking lot once. Not even the case is scratched. I used to hate cases ( pointless debate on plastic vs metal when rubber is all most people will see) and only order cheapies on Amazon. Honestly this case has saved me hundreds of dollars, still feels and fits brand New, and was so impressive that even my marketingdegree wasn't enough to keep me from believing whatever magic material that orange stuff that it's the real deal. All the DFW Tmo stores lov. Making an example. I refer people to tmo for this case every week. Got my g3 today and paid full retail gladly to get the exact same case for g3. Love how it looks too hardly any difference in dimension or feel. For me the G2 was 99% of all I ever wwants and I expect G3 to be the same but even closer w camera and storage/battery. I can send pics if you guys want I just can't find button on mobile lol

You can kind of see it in the pictures I posted, sorry I don't have another camera with me at the moment. It's a fairly large opening because it's also open for the microphone.
I don't think it's slippery at all. It's a textured finish so there's some grip. I really like how the case is really thin. I compared to the Incipio Dual Pro they also had there and there's a huge difference.

Unfortunately just like every T-Mobile case in the store, they're terribly overpriced for a basic TPU case. EBay and Amazon has similar cases with the same quality for a fraction of the cost.

I got $50 off when i signed up for isis wallet in store. Case and invisishield came to $20 out of pocket.

[Review][Case]AGF Soft Shell w/leather insert

I just thought I may as well post a little review on this case. I bought this case at the same AT&T Corp store that I bought my SGS II on Sunday.
This case has a very high quality feel to it. The fitment was incredibly tight though. This is likely because it is designed to fit both the international and AT&T SGS II devices. This should be obvious if you look at the fourth pic. It clearly shows openings for both the international and AT&T NC mic positions.
I have to be honest, I only chose this case because the Case-Mate and Ballistic options were far too bulky for my taste. This case provides enough protection, for me anyway, without adding too much bulk. I really wasn't too keen on the leather insert at first either.
In the last few days of use, I have come to really like this case. I even appreciate the leather insert. It provides a high-end feel to the case and provides for outstanding grip. The front lip barely covers the chrome bezel. I actually had to work the case to get it to completely wrap around the front of the device. The end result is a case that looks and feels like part of the phone.
At this point, I can say I highly recommend this case for anyone who doesn't need a bulky case (although they provide more protection), and who also wants something more than just a gel cover.

Thanks for this review! I am looking for something less bulky than the case-mate. I'll have to check this out when I stop in my local ATT store. How much they selling them for?
I believe it was the usual rip-off price of $35. However, they give me 20% off on accessories at this store (frequent shopper there LOL). I am sure there are better deals, but I did not want to take a chance of messing up my phone before finding a case elsewhere. I paid full retail price so a few extra bones wasn't that big of a deal.
I was planning to return it, but I can't find anything similar online. If I find it online cheaper, I will buy it and return this one for sure. Either way, I am happy enough as it is.
I just bought this case today. I love it! Its like a mix between a hard case and tpu. If you had the bodyglove case on your captivate, you'll love this case. I like the look of the leather back, as I think it adds some class. This case doesn't add that much bulk either.
That was my first choice but the store rep couldn't get it to fit properly so I went with the ballistic even In this case the phone feels tiny in my Herman Munster hands after the infuse in a ballistic case I love this phone just gotta adjust to it

I also got this case. I like it a lot, it keeps the same of the phone without adding much bulk at all!
I got this case for my AT&T Galaxy S2 on launch day and I LOVE it. The Ballistics were just ridiculous. As far as getting the case on goes, I couldn't get it to fit at first but if you put it in bottom only, completely lip it; then top, completely lip it; then work the sides, it will always fit perfectly. Sometimes I feel like Gollum caressing my precious Ring with this baby.
Picked up this case today and absolutely love it. It doesn't add much weight to the phone and i feel it still keeps it slimness. As far as fitment goes. It does fit damn tight. I put it on the best I could at the store. I squeezed the sides to get the lip to go over but never could get the bottom corners to cover properly. Once I got home, I took it back out, then put it back on in reverse. This did the trick and it went on a lot easier.
I'm probably going to end up buying this case ASAP... I was interested in it for a while, but was afraid that it may have been too bulky.
Thanks for the feedback guys!

I just picked this case up from the AT&T store today. I have to say, it isn't a bad case but it adds a little bulk to the phone. I have another case coming in from Amazon tomorrow so we will see which one is better. I am not really a fan of the buttons being covered though since it makes it a little harder to press. I can already tell that this case will offer a lot of protection to any standard drop.
This is a great case!! been having it since Monday.
One thing to note is that if you are getting a discount on your cell phone plan you should also get that same discount on any accessories that you buy from AT&T.
I too chose this case with my purchase. it was the best of the lot,but I cannot keep this case. it just does not fit. I get 50% accessories on my plan. I went back to a store (not the one I got it from) thinking that they might have others. When I told the rep about the fit she said they are having returns for the same reasons. Found one that seem better on ebay waiting for it to come in. In the mean time I will kee this case to protect my baby, but will return within 30 days.
On another note anyone got the ivisor AG screen protector? not sure i am liking it. It seem to make my screen dim because of the non-glare, cant seem to find any good one on the net, they all seem to be for the international version. things are new so I will wait a bit.

What problems are you having with fitment? While it does take a little bit to get it on right, it should still fit. I had problems with the bottom corners until I took it out then put in back on, starting on the opposite end.

The one I ordered and received from Amazon covers only the volume u/d buttons and has a cutout for the sleep/power button. I can press the power button just fine. I like this case better than the AGF from AT&T. It doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone and was almost 1/3 the price so I will return it after work.

That one doesn't look bad. I see they made a large cut out where the power button goes. Don't really care for that big cutout but to each his own. Mine has actually become a lot easier over the last day or so. I guess the compound loosens up over time.
Just got my GS2 today and bought this case at the same time. I wanted something sleek after a Ballistic case on my Infuse and this seemed perfect.
As others have stated it's a tight fit. The sales rep couldn't get it on completely so I had to play with it myself. Another post stated putting bottom and top on first. I had better luck with the sides first. Maybe it is just loosening up after trying 2-3 times to get it on.
The volume and power buttons being covered are going to take getting used to as it takes a good press to work them.
To sum up, love the case so far. Seems to be good quality and good protection.
I tried this case on yesterday and did not like the fit. The ATT store only had one so I am going to try a few more to see if they fit better. It was tight and I couldn't keep the lip over the edges all the way around no matter how hard I tried.

Found a tough case at a great price

Got this case off of EBay delivered for $32. It's called a PEPKOO ULTIMATE. I think Love Me and possibly another company makes some almost identical. They are aluminum with Gorilla glass screen protector, screws together instead of snaps like an Otterbox and doesn't get all the dirt and trash around the sides of the screen. I've been using mine for a month now and thought I would share my review of it. It's tough, cool looking and I have no complaints. Don't forget it was $32.
uhm, good!
From the reviews I have seen, the S-Pen is Damn near impossible to take out, and the sound is horribly muffled.

You could have gotten it cheaper too on Ebay. It's the same case as the Love MEI series. Those are $23 on ebay.
Also your cell reception just took a dive by half because of the aluminum. I only use mine when I go snowboarding. The extra weight adds to my balance, lol.
I saw after I ordered it about the s-pen complaints and I don't have any trouble. I'm always somewhere the signal is great so that hadn't been an issue. I would have loved the even cheaper priced one but compared to an otterbox, This case is king. I've had an otterbox for every phone I've had in the last 6 years, starting with a blackberry and had to constantly take it apart and clean dirt and dust out of it. I never have to do that with this one. I stand firm and recommend this case or an identical copy over otterbox any day. If I paid $ 40 I would still be satisfied.

Yeah I definitely recommend it to anyone who can put up with those things. I like the comments I get when I whip it out(no pun intended). People always ask in amazement if it's a phone and what phone it is. Then again I have the original model so it's even bigger than the new slimmer ones which I might get soon.

I just have a question, where exactly did you see this for so cheap? The only link I can find on Amazon is for $69:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00HFMUVG4/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
I got it off of eBay. I work in the oilfields of West Texas and we have some rough weather, especially dust storms. With the otterbox I was having to take it apart every couple of days to clean the dirt and dust that would make its way inside it. Then the abrasive dust rubbing against the plastic screen protector would have it scratched up in a mater of a month or so. I haven't had to take this case apart yet to clean it and that dust isn't going to hurt the Gorilla glass. I put a couple screen shots of the add on eBay so you could see the seller and the product.
It's awesome

Nice yeah like It .
I'm sure it's a great case if your going to throw it down a mountain, but in my opinion it's way too bulky.
Bulk
If bulk is an issue, then I would suggest an Iphone, I think they still small enough to fit in a matchbox. But all jokes aside, it still easily fits in my back pocket and as I stated before, I need my phone protected from the elements. I never said this case would suit everyone but if you wanted a case that was built for hard core protection, I recommend this one. I have now had it for two months and I hope I can always get one to fit future phones.
How heavy is this? Do you have issues with sound? Have you waterproof tesed the case and how did it do?
Same here,
If a case makes my devices useless, well then it's useless. I can see the draw to a waterproof solution as I hit the lake often during the summer months and don't do much out there other than check things on the screen from time to time. But for that there are cheaper solutions, none of which I trust completely anyhow.
Lets hope that they up the IP rating on the note 4.

LoL this in is not the waterproof version. Its the water resistant version. Love Mei adds some water proofing in there. There is a difference this one, Lunatak's and Love Mei's. I think they all have the same base manufacture. My Dad has the Lunatak's case for the iphone, his signal doesnt take a hit, also it makes the phone feel like a brick. AND I really mean a brick.
You guys want real waterproof head over to the red pepper note 3 thread.

I had purchased a similar metal case for my Note 3 from Love Mei. It looks cool but I dont like it.
1. I made my phone to look big, almost the size of Tab 7.0.
2. Its non ergonomic for long time use, you'll not be comfortable holding it while text messaging.
3. Not to forget that it adds weight extreme weight to your phone. Trust me, you can't answer calls for more than 20 minutes due to its weight.
4. Since its a water proof version, the sound ports and receiver speakers are covered with thin membrane of some material (sort of rubber or plastic). Thats make the sound to be scatered and unclear
5. The glass protector will have the rainbow effect on screen when it touches the phone screen.
These points are based from my experience. I sold my case to another guy.
Currently Im with Trident Kraken AMS, and I love it to the max. It saved my phone without single scratches falling from the height arnd 6 feet.

Verus Iron Shield case

Does anyone have this case for their G3? If so how do you like it? This is the case I am talking about. I want to get it but hesitant because I want something thin and I like the aluminum frame. If someone does have it and does not want it LMK and ill buy it or trade for a brand new otterbox defender case. :good:
I'm curious about this case as well seems this company mimicks spigen (Thor=slim armor, iron shield =neo hybrid) but their cases appear to be high quality since spigen doesn't make a neo hybrid for the g3 I'm really debating on getting this case

Verus
I had the Spigen Slim Armor case Black. It was a nice fit and very low profile. It also had an extra hold on the plastic so Im not sure if it is truly for G3. I sent it back and got the Verus. This case is very similar to the Spigen and has a perfect fit. It is slim and has a thin metal frame around it. Making it look very nice. I would say these are the best two cases out there and I would say the Verus is number one. The metal frame makes it standout.
I would send a few pic. here.
I've got the Versus satin case. I had to run some sandpaper along the cutout edges to knock down the sharp edges (top) and bottom, but nice case and not slippery like the one I picked up at Verizon.
It takes a bit to remove it tho so not for the person who likes to swap batteries.

The hole is for the Korean variant of the G3. Spigen made the decision to make all of their cases "universal", so they all have the hole. That why I went with Verus and got the Thor. The Thor is nice, but it also adds significant bulk and weight. I've ordered another case to try out.
I have spigen slim armour with no hole. You need to buy the us version of the case
When I was talking to the VZ rep that was helping us when we were getting the LG G3, he showed me his Spigen case that is similar to the Iron Shield. He loved it but the "metal" frame around the headphone and charging port kept cracking. For something that is metal, it breaks easily.

I bought this case at first I like it but I noticed with the case on my signal dropped down to 1 bar from 5 bars and my download speed went from 15 Mbps download speed to less than 1 Mbps it took me about a week to figure this out as to who would think that the case would block the signal but it does I spent countless hours on the phone with Verizon trying to figure out what was going on then just by chance when I was switching the dim cards back and fourth from my g2 to my g3 to see if it may be the phone I noticed that my signal was fine until I put the car back on so don't buy this case hopefully this will help anyone thinking of buying this case

Yeah I was going to get this before unread the same thing in a few reviews. Battery killer.
I have the exact same case that you link to, OP. It has already survived a fall with just a little ding on the metal band around the case. I haven't noticed any drop in signal or battery life while using this case.
I got this case yesterday and have to say that I don't like it at all. As others have said, the metal is sharp in places and the signal does drop. I went from getting 4G in my home to 3G after putting the case on. Once I took it off, it went back to 4G. If anyone wants to buy one for cheap, let me know.
I just received the verus iron shield the other day too and I love the look and feel.
On this thread, I believe, and elsewhere I read some people were seeing some signal degradation due to the metal frame.
This made me sensitive to this and I've been trying to see if that's the case. I was testing two nights ago in my basement and it appeared that I was getting one less bar of signal. I was pretty tired and bleary eyed so I need to try this again hopefully this weekend.
I was wondering if you or someone else has checked this out.
The case is beautiful and gives above average protection, which is more than enough for me, but if the signal is being affected that would be a dealbreaker.
On another note, I have the supcase frost/clear back case and I love that too. It's thin, light and looks terrific. It offers no better than average protection but that's ok with me too.
These 2 cases give me everything that I personally look for in phone cases.
Thanks in advance
Edit:
Been testing and the iron shield definitely degrades signal for me. I'll be returning it to amazon

Signal gone down here too. I'm in Italy, where i was getting 4G now it's 3G and where the signal was bad (1 bar) now i can't get any at all.
Switched for the Spigen Slim Armor (i think verus iron shield case is the best looking and classy case for LG G3 but i can't stand the signal issue)

These are just Case Mate cases sold on the Play Store... I bet they will be cheaper if bought directly from Case Mate when they come out...
I don't think I'd pay $5 for that plastic case. Just doesn't seem like it would have nice feel at all.
I don't think these cases will have high sales because of the Spigen cases, which are better in terms of quality. Also, they're all cheaper; Spigen's most expensive case for the Nexus 6 is $34.99 while the clear case on the Play Store is the same price. And for the flip case, Spigen has a similar one that's considerably cheaper: http://www.spigen.com/brands/google/nexus-6/nexus-6-case-wallet-s.html . Surely Google knew this beforehand because their sales will suffer. On 2nd thought... given that they jacked the prices up on their new flagship, I don't expect them to suffer at all as a matter of fact. Still, they may want to consider lowering the prices; no company wants their inventory to go to waste.
I love thin cases, but 35 bucks for a piece of plastic is ridiculous

I was wondering as well why these are so expensive when others are selling them for 1/6 the price? Wonder what Google is thinking.
They did the same thing with the N4 bumper, and I assume N5.

I remember using the poetic bumper on my N4 and they kept replacing it for free without sending the broken bumper in
I'm avoiding cases.
I fear putting a case on & then off will indeed scratch that metal trim.
These finally became available. Even though it's over priced I went ahead and ordered the clear one.

Dropping it will scratch that trim though lol. I think I would like maybe a bumper or something that just wraps around the bezels to keep them from getting damaged would be cool.
If anyone is still interested in these cases. I would try T-Mobile, I cancelled (at least attempted to) my Google Play order. You can get the case at T-Mobile and save some money on shipping.

A tpu case won't scratch the phone inside of it unless you never take it out to wipe off any dust every now and then like you should.
The naked tough case is available just ordered.
The tough case is available at tmob?

I purchased what looks exactly like the tough case at T-Mobile for the same price as the Play store (minus the cost of shipping). The clear case with the kickstand. Honestly the kick stand feels super flimsy. It almost seems as if the weight of the phone alone is capable of breaking it. I'm not confident it's going to last that long.
I like the look better than the cases on Amazon, I went ahead and ordered the Clear one today...... we'll see........
Just got my clear bumper case from google play store. Better than expected. Feels nice strong and thin. I previously had the nexus 5 with the google bumper case which saved my phone many many times. Hopefully this works just as well. Feels good in my hands and am very very happy with my purchase. Ordered this two days ago and it arrived today with normal delivery. Fast shipping from google.

Gorgeous Genuine Leather Case Made in Israel

I just purchased an incredible genuine leather case made in Israel on Amazon. The case is amazing and is absolutely stunningly gorgeous. The price is currently $44.99 with free shipping. Here is the link on the Amazon site with lots of pictures: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RIZN3PO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is the review I just posted. I truly can't say enough about this case and the seller:
This case is amazing and was delivered well ahead of the estimated date. It is shipped from Israel and was delivered in one day short of two weeks after order in New Jersey. The leather is ABSOLUTELY beautiful and this is a masterpiece. The phone fits perfectly into the plastic holder. It has a wonderful magnetic flap that closes shut. No button closure to break, thank goodness. It is simply gorgeous. Honestly, I love this thing. The seller also provides a nice letter with the package telling you to contact him if you have any problems with the order. I could not be any more impressed. I would give this 6 stars if I could. The only drawback, if you want to say that about it, is that it is sent registered priority mail, so it requires a signature. You can track the delivery through the Israel Post website where it sits for about a week until it arrives in the United States, then it is picked up by the U.S. postal service tracking, using the same tracking number, which was a pleasant surprise. I would encourage the seller to drop the registered mail in the future due to the inconvenience of them not simply leaving it in the mailbox, but it is all worth it. I would be glad to do business with this seller again.

Exactly. I'm not carrying around a Nexus 7 in my pocket.
It is actually very thin and the leather is wonderful. I wear dress pants and carry this around with me every day. I definitely don't feel this is too big. It is however gorgeous and I highly recommend it. It is SOOOOO much better than the cheap plastic cases. I love it. I would have been willing to pay twice as much for a case of this quality.

If I could make calls on the Nexus 7, I would carry it around in my pocket.

Lte version, hangouts dialer, & bluetooth headset then you're in business.
My wife uses this exact case / wallet on her iPhone 6. It is very nice and very high quality. I got it for her for Christmas after doing a bunch of research.

Any pictures of your phone in the case?
IMO this phone is to big for any case. I tried different cases and the only reason I wanted a case was because the back of the phone is slippery to me. Not sure why these vendors that make these big phones don't make the back better and not slippery. Anyways I hated every case as it added more bulk to the phone and simply got a Dbrand Skin and looks fantastic and gives me the grip I want with no added bulk.
Sounds like this is a good case. Will look into.
Curious why it matters where its made? If its good, its good.
That case is really nice looking! I'm not sure that I would use it, but it looks pretty nice!!

I think if I stuffed this bad boy in my dress pants people would think I was very excited to see them...
