[Q] Bloatware safe to remove/freeze? - Verizon LG G3

Anyone have a list of bloatware that they have either frozen or removed and not had any issues? This thing is filled with it!

It hasn't even been rooted yet, so you can't freeze or remove the bloat. All you can do is disable it.

Umm, yes it has. Please read up before giving pointless answers. You can root with ioroot which can be found in the main thread.

There is nothing in the Verizon Android Development, or Verizon Original Android development forums.
Edit: I posted the link to the ioroot thread in the Verizon Android Development forum. Hopefully everyone will see it now.

And this is the correct section. This post has to do with android software
Literally everything on this site has to do with software. This is better suited for general or possibly question&answers.
Anyway, Verizon has more Android phones sold then Sprint, they can't spread it thin.
Ok cool thanks for not being mean lol
I haven't cared about official updates from Verizon since rooting. My phone with KaosFroyo runs better now than it ever did with official firmware.

I prefer slow placeholders to be completely honest.
My bad homie I didn't know I wasn't allowed to post in a different forum I wasn't trolling. Our phones are pretty much the same
I havent seen a thread for safe apps you can delete for the I777? I saw the one for the european verson. Would it be very similar?
Very similar. I deleted 20+ stock apps that i will never used

development and original development

What is the deal with our phones having a development and an original development section on the forums here. I just got my s4 and I dont want to screw it up by flashimg twrp from the original development section if that was for a prerelease version of the phone or something weird like that.
Thanks in advance :good:
Check out the sticky.

idk...I understand what the difference is but it seems like they both have the same stuff. I don't see a huge difference as far as what is ACTUALLY posted in them.

Yeah at some point in time it got all mixed up, someone needs to go through and sort them.

MJ7 root methods available?

Hi all. I saw a thread on here already about MJ7 users successfully rooting their devices. I personally do not care about tripping any kind of knox alarm, as I have a free deductible on my phone. Are there any methods other than the Vroot and Klingo (sp?) that I can actually find a link to? I'd really like to start experimenting with ROMs on this device and I find myself being held back by speculation of backdoors in China.
There's no other at the moment that we know of or that is public. Just keep an eye on the other thread and you'll know when one comes up.

What he said.....

Ok, now that I'm rooted what happens when 4.4 is available?

I finally beat the MJ7 and my S4 is rooted, what happens when 4.4 is out, do I have to return to stock?
Actually I'm enjoying the Xposed for the first time, nice work XDA
Thanks
There's usually a method to upgrade and keep root, but we won't know until 4.4 comes out in March at the earliest. You got awhile.
Also, there's a sticky at the top of this forum titled "RULES for posting in development", you're only supposed to post your dev work. If you have a question, ask it in the Q&A section.
Have patience and wait
