The alternative icons provided in the stock launcher is really limited. Is there anyway to use a 3rd party icon pack from the Play store? For example, I can install Voxel and apply to Nova launcher. But can I somehow do that with the stock launcher?
Download themes from the g2, gflex, gpro, or gpro2 threads here on xda.
Should install as a normal apk. Download launcherpro. Add activities widget. Go to "home" then select the one that says theme chooser in it. Profit

Sure. Go to Manage applications, find your actual launcher and clear the default start option. Then click in the home button and choose the launcher you want and check the box that says to use always that launcher.

Yes you can install multiples launchers for example: Adw + Launcher pro + Go Launcher, when you have installed them, if you press the Home button the system let you choose the launcher.
Yes, you can have how many launchers you want installed at the same time. When you want to use another simple do what i told in previous post.

i have downloaded Launcher pro from the market but can't open it, only option available is uninstall.. the devoleper itself mentioned "If you can't open it, download "ClearDefaultHome" or "Home Switcher" ..

Suave Icons are very nice. The Suave Iconset has nearly every app in it.
I use Go Launcher EX as my homescreen, just install from the play store (it's not free anymore though) and select it from the Go Launcher EX preferences. I think Suave exists for many launchers.

I believe there are themes you can download for apex launcher. After that go into theme chooser and you can select what icon pack you want to use.
Well, it's all up to taste, search the market apex and nova can use go and Adw themes. I use mitch's flat icons

For icon changing, I recommend using Desktop Visualizer and then any icon files you want for ultimate customisation even if you use stock launcher
91iHome, according to me, is the best MIUI style launcher at the moment. Its faster than MiHome and most importantly you can change the app icons as well as app labels!
I've my own icon pack and I want to use with it. But I've no clue how to make a theme for that launcher. The launcher does support themes and has a theme chooser. Google wasn't kind enough with answers for me. This launcher, esp. its developer, is pretty much obscure...
Anyone know how to make a theme for this launcher?
P.S.: One more reason why this launcher I prefer because its one of the three launchers that provide slightly bigger (and hence more clarity) icons like in iOS. The other two are MiHome and QQ (latest ver from Play Store).
MiHome is slow and no app-rename option. And making a theme for QQ is too damn difficult... :crying:

If your using a custom launcher such as launcher pro, apex, nova, etc. If you are using apex launcher for example search up apex icon pack on the play store then download the one you like, and apply from the launchers theme or appearance settings selecting the icon pack you want to use. extract the images from the rar and long press the icon to change it

download some icon packs for apex from market go to apex settings themes there you will find the option to change your icon packs alone !!!
Is there a launcher out there that is up to date and allows me to slide over like google now does but allow me to use that page for widgets? I basically want a launcher that is just like the new 5.0 lollipop launchers out there but google now will be replaced with a page for me to place widgets. Kind of like what Blur Launcher does.
