USB OTG (controllers) broken in kitkat? - HTC Desire 601

I've noticed that USB OTG isn't as complete as it used to be since KitKat update..
I can still use usb keyboards however all my controllers have stopped working.
Previously I was able to use ps1/2 controllers via usb adapter and now I can't!
Wired 360 controllers don't work either..
Anyone know of a work around?

USB Game controller on android 4.0.3, please help !

Hello,
I am a kind-of-advanced Android user. I know my way well around the os, but i'm not a programmer of any kind.
I recently bought a fairly cheap Yarvik tab (TAB264) running ICS 4.0.3. with a USB host and so far it has nothing else than impressed me !
What i'm trying to do is connect a game controller via USB to play games in emulators. I have a authentic PS3 controller with usb cable and an Xbox controller for the PC, with a USB dingle for wireless connection to the pc / tablet. I do not have bluetooth on my device, but i do have a bluetooth dongle. However, this is not plug and play. If i plug in a keyboard, mouse of mass storage device the tablet will recognise it. With a bluetooth stick this is not the case. I have seen serveral video's where people just plug in their xbox controller and it works, they only have to map the keys in to emulator and they are good to go. In my case, as with the bluetooth dongle, it is like its not recognised.
Is there a way to download drivers for either one controllers, universal controller support or the bluetooth stick ?
in short:
- Can i use the PS3 controller via usb ?
- Can i use to Xbox controlle via usb ?
- Can i install drivers for the bluetooth stick so i can use the ps3 controller wireless (whis would be awesome since bluetooth would be nice)
I hope for a fast response thanks in advance !

I read somewhere that XDA has a special developed driver in case the XboX controller doens't work. I searched the forum, but i cant find it.
Link, andybody ?
Anybody, options, please ?
Really, no one ?

Using Logitech F310 on i9520 via OTG Micro USB

I tried using my Logitech F310 controller via OTG Micro USB but I don't think the phone detected the controller. The "mode" light on the controller didn't light up.
I have sixaxis controller apps installed, as well as root Stickmount apps installed.
I could mount a USB pendrive, a mouse, keyboard, all without any problems.
I'm running on stock rom with leankernel 6.1.

This might be an extremely late response because I just found this post through Google. Have you tried switching the little switch on the bottom to the XInput setting?

Connecting a wired xbox 360 controller

I tried connecting a pendrive, a mouse and a keyboard through an OTG adapter and they all worked fine.
However, I couldn't get my wired xbox 360 controller to work. The device doesn't show any sign that it's trying to detect it.
I also tried connecting a usb SNES-ripoff controller that I had laying around and it actually worked right away, but half of the buttons on it wouldn't get registered on any emulator I tried.
Has anyone managed to properly connect a wired xbox controller to their Redmi Note 2?
i tried to connecting the wireless one (im not have the wired version), and tried this tutorial, and can't get it work. I think its because original kernel not support it, its lack of xpad.ko module.
and im sure the wired one can't work too, because there was not key layout for xbox controller in /system/usr/keylayout/. yeah we can copy it manual, but our kernel not support.
CMIIWsorry for bad english.

[Solved] OTG working ?

I can't see/use any USB stick I connect to my OPX even with file explorer(s).
Because of this I double checked if OPX is OTG capable but it should be.
Anyone had success on using USB sticks ?
Found it. There is a special switch under Settings/Memory.
Hi, just as extra info: I plugged in a logitech K400r keyboard + mouse and it worked directly.

LG L9 P760 - need mouse but it's not working, no usb host?

Welcome, i need to connect mouse via usb, or game pad, i got that adapter otg, but nothing works, no mather what mouse.
Is there a ROM with OTG on kernel or some drivers or tricks?
Like i mentioned in the other thread, maybe, if you attach the mouse to an active hub. Unlike the drivers for usb OTG, those for mouse and keyboard could already be present in the rom or keyboard app. And you need mains for this, not really a portable solution.
