How do I disable the pseudo-lock screen (not my pin lock) - Verizon LG G3

So my work enforces a password on my phone, which I'm ok with. But my G3 has a second lock screen when the phone goes idle and it's annoying as hell.
How I want it to work:
On my old Galaxy S4, If my phone went idle for 30 seconds the screen went off. If i pressed the lock button on the phone up before 4 minutes had passed it would take me right into the phone.
How it currently works:
On my G3 it shows this lock screen when I wake up my screen (when the security pin has not kicked in). It looks like this:

after 5 minutes though it asks for my security pin:
How do i disable this lock screen? and just have the phone lock automatically after 4 minutes?

Unfortunately I'm not aware of anyway to do what you're asking built in. If you are using a knock code as your password. You can just type in your knock code while the screen is off and it will take you right to your home screen skipping the non-password "lock" screen.

This is VERY annoying. My real lock is set for 30 minutes. Hate the extra step to swipe from a quick nap.

Turn off smart screen from display menu and set screen timeout to 30 sec.

I actually love this feature. It isn't present in stock (aosp) android though.

turn on usb debugging wihout phone activated ?

I'm trying to turn on USB debugging on a phone that is not activated. So I can't get to the main home screen to get to the settings. Is there a command I can use to turn it on? The phone is not in service.
I have tried going to "adb devices" in command prompt but there is no phone listed.
Make sure the adb device drivers are installed correctly on your pc...

In some ROM's once you get to the Android screen (the first screen of the setup process), you can hit all four corners of the screen one at a time and it will allow you to by-pass the activation screens and let you get to the main screen of the phone. From there you can do anything you want. Try that.
you can try making the activation call and then ending it 3 times and see if that will let you bypass the activation screen.
or put the phone in airplane mode by holding the power button while in the call and then rebooting.
Some roms let you bypass by long pressing or pressing the home button three times.

Well, I found a pretty simple fix. Remove the sim card and boot up ! Then you can skip through all that stuff and get to the home screen. Then turn on usb debugging.

You're right, but that's the way it works for AOSP ROMs. OP is asking about a HTC Sense 4.1 ROM and it's lock ring lockscreen. That doesn't go away even with a PIN code/Pattern lock set. Each time the screen is turned on, the lock screen shows by default and I don't think there's any way to turn it off. The security lock kicks in after it's defined time, but the lock screen always appears on turning on the screen.
OP: Try asking in your ROM thread. AFAIK there's no way to disable the lock screen.

Good point, this rom does have the option to enable AOKP lock screen, but it will result in reboots upon incoming call

[Q] Power button instant lock - how to turn off?

Hi, got HAM2. Very impressed. Wish it had Qi, but aside really good.
Q: How do I turn off power button instant lock?
Android always has this option, but for some reason I can't find it in settings!
In my MT2-L05 EMUI3.0 it's in Settings/Security/Power button instantly locks.

Wow, I just tried it myself and I get the same problem. Good job, Huawei...
Ya... and I'm having a hard time finding a module. any help would be appreciated
My HAM2 doesn't have this problem. I have the Delayed Lock app from the play store which modifies the locking though. I've also frozen the hwunlock lock screen since it was interfering.

Happy to hear. Also if you want to clean up the notification, the Delayed Lock app can still run if you hide it's notification (long press on it then uncheck show notifications), it still works fine and the Notification bar is clean. Mine is set to auto lock after about 20 mins from when I turn off my screen and I also created a shortcut on my home screen to instantly lock it and turn off the screen (have to set wake to lock mode in the settings of the app). If you want to a shortcut like that you can do this in Nova Launcher (or something similar in other launchers). Long press and empty space on the homescreen. Choose shortcuts then delayed lock shortcuts then Lock now (which also turns off the screen).
HAM(2) on Bro!

I just switched from Mi Max3 to black shark 3 pro.
For Mi Max 3, when I got notification while the screen was turned off. I got the information of that notification right away as in the picture. It's very convenient. Just glance at the screen and get information.
But for BS 3pro, when I got notification while the screen was turned off. It just make a sound and show only the black screen with fingerprint icon as I called "first lock screen".
I have to press power button or unlock it first to see information which is not convenient at all when compare to Mi Max3.
Is there any way to remove first lock screen? Please help.
And you can turn on raise to wake.

Screen switches off after startup

Hi everyone,
I've just bought a brand new display for my sm-t860 that I haven't used for few months. After I installed it and turned it on I was happy when I saw familiar logon screen appearing. Unfortunately my joy only lasted for few seconds as screen switched off after android loaded up.
It happens every time I try to power it on. After system loads screen instantly switches off in the same manner like when you press the power button to turn off the display. It even makes the same sound even though the button wasn't pressed. You can see whole sequence on attached video.
Anyone have idea what could be the reason for this error? Tablet was fully functional before changing the display.

Anyone has idea what this chip is? I noticed it was getting extremely hot when the home screen loaded before display went off like always. Then some absurd idea came to my head and I started tapping it repeatedly while booting. It did a trick as the chip were getting less hot and display stayed on for few more seconds. After few more series of this treatment display stayed on for 10 minutes and I thought the issue is solved. Unfortunately after I opened numerous tabs in web browser system froze and never recovered.
I couldn't even power it on after that so I laid it off for 30 minutes and it's working again but the chip is still getting hot. Tapping works but I need to find the source of this issue rather than try to deal with symptoms.
