LG Tone Infinim - Verizon LG G3

Anyone hear more about these? I've been holding off buying a pair of LG Tone+ since these were suppose to be coming out this summer. Are they vaporware by this point?

Can't wait for this.
Only thing I see are a few news articles and the press release. Darn it.
I'm in the same boat as you. I want the Tone+ but since the Infinim will be released soon, I will save my (lack of) big bucks.

There will be 3 ranges of Tone Headsets now. The Tone+ are old. It will go in this order:
Tone Pro basic $69
Tone Ultra Noise Cancelling $119
Tone Infinum : I think special Harmen Karden speakers and retractable earbuds. $149

I like the feel of the Tone Ultra over the Pro and the Ultra has option noise cancelling so you can turn it on or off.

I ended up ordering a pair of the 730 Tone+, $17 shipped. I know the newer ones have more features, but expect to be happy with them.

Looking forward to this, had the Tone before and Tone+ now. The retractable feature is attractive, I just wish it's durable...

Where did you manage that price at?

EBay, http://m.ebay.com/itm/121366221464?nav=SEARCH
They should be arriving in the next day or two.

Got my 730s in today, charged them, working nicely
11 days from order to receipt, no complaints for an excellent price. The sound is quite nice.
No Google voice support, but fine for music or telephone use.

Ordered. For $17, I''' have no remorse buying the Infinim when it comes out even if it's the next day. Thanks for the link!

Quite a few fakes floating out there, even on Amazon (read the reviews and look at the uploaded pics). So I have to think these eBay ones can't possibly be the real thing. But, if you're happy with them, more power to ya.

Just disable voice commands and Google voice should work

No joy.
I`ve frozen:
LG TTS+
LG VoiceCommand SpeachPack
Maluuba QVoice Interface
Voice Command
Still no response to a single press of Call (when idle -- it works to pick up an incoming call or disconnect), or a long press.
I also tried installing the VoiceCommand app from Play Store. No change, so I removed it.
Thanks for the suggestion

Are these legit LG or Chinese look- a-likes??
Thanks

I believe they are real. The packaging seems reasonable, the phone recognizes them as hbs-730, and they precisely match the picture in the real LG manual. They also have things like the aptx markings as shown on the real device.
They did not include spare ear gels or manual in the package, but do seem legit.

On the right side you see the aptX logo just below the forward/back media control rockers. On the left side the on/off button and the microUSB charge port (hidden) are where they show in the OEM manual.
I'm very happy with them, other than not having voice command working. I rooted and did a fair amount of nudging on the phone the first couple days, think I whoopsed and broke the SW linkage to have VC activate. Call picks up calls, and last number redials, but I can't get voice dialer or general Google Search VC running; I don't blame that on the headphones.

I do not believe they are OEM. I have not seen any Tone headsets with that orange button on the call answer. Also the ear buds look very different. Tone headsets also do not have the shiny aluminum? ring around the ear bud. Actually now that I am thinking of its im 99% percent sure they are a knock off. But if your happy that is all that matters.

What Bluetooth Headset Are You Using?

Hey fellow wing users,
I'm residing in Southern California and they recently passed a law that hands free headsets are required as of July 1st,2008. Just wondering what everyone is using to see what my options are.
If you can please post Brand and Model and where you got it

Yeah im in the military and on any military installation you are required to use hands free. I use a Motorola T505 for in car, it has a pretty loud speaker and can be played through your radio. I use a BlueAnt Z9 for in ear bluetooth. They are both pretty damn good and can be found on Newegg dot com.
Good post
I use the Jawbone its good !!
looking for good excuse to buy new one one plus is the noise cancellation option works
i have first version one new ones thiner
http://www.jawbone.com/
thanks for the replies. both are very good. the jawbone looks nice but how does it function? i'm trying to compromise looks and functionality as much as i can
noise-canceling technology is great
here a good place for some reviews of different ones
it hot don't want to type 104* off to pool
i use the big clunker
http://www.welectronics.com/Bluetooth/motorola_ht820.jpg
but i love it.. when im on the bus i hear no sound when i have the volume up at a good level.. if i want ot hear i lower it and can hear almost everything and my music
there big there ugly
i use them for 45 minutes to a hour a day and charge then every 3 weeks..
but thye are kick a$$
I use Tritton TRI-BH102 it has been pretty good to me. Battery life is 4hours+ constant stream range is limited to 10' anything more than that is most likely to disconnect. The thing I like about it is the 3.5mm jack.
I use the Jabra BT250v for talking. It's not the one in the link, but it looks just like it. It's the loudest and clearest one I've found in the store. It's very comfortable despite the way it looks. I've forgotten that I was wearing it quite a few times. It has an earpiece that goes into your ear and it sounds like the caller is standing next to you. I talk for about 3 hours a day, and I charge it once a week. It was $50 at Best Buy. I liked the SE HBH-610 more, but I don't think they make them anymore. I've heard really good things about all the Plantronics, but they were too expensive for me.
I use the SouthWing SA505 for stereo music. It's loud, music sounds good, and the battery last for months. I use it in the gym for 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, and to talk when I forget to charge my Jabra. I charge it about once every other month, but it's never actually died on me so it could probably go longer. And it was only $23 with shipping on eBay!
I have one by caselogic, a CLST-100
It cost $16 on double clearance, and it works about as much as it costs.
But the fact of the matter is that it works
I'm using both Jawbones (new and original) I find the new one to be more comfortable
man some dope head phones here, made it even harder for me to choose lol .. i was going to stick with a simple motorola but dam hahaha i have more options now
thanks guys keep em coming!
Out of the few BT headsets I have I find I really only use my JVC HAW700BT set anymore. It's got a stereo jack so I can use whatever headphones I like and when not on the phone I can move the main body of it to my belt. This one can also connect to your car stereo if it's got an Aux input and you can use it as a hands-free set. The battery life is excellent... at least for me.
The only "con" for me is that the charger's connection at the bottom of the main body isn't miniUSB, just some plain two pin connector. Gonna make my own adapter for it so I can charge on the go.
http://www.gadgetell.com/tech/comment/jvc-intros-new-bluetooth-transmitter-and-headset/
I haven't looked to see if it's more common now. When I got mine i had a very hard time finding anyone who even had it in their computer, much less in stock, and it wasn't on JVC's site either.
I use the jabra bt8010 stereo headset. I'm simply in love with this thing. the sound quality is outstanding. I find myself using my wing for music more than my ipod because of the headset. If your wearing both pieces phone calls sound as if you are in the same room with the person. check ebay they used to go for between 90.00 and 110.00$$ but now you can find them for as low as $40.00. Now if I could only figure out how to setup my voice command to be used on te headset?
I use a Motorola. Excellent sound quality, And compatible with A2DP ( Music via Bluetooth thing ).

i was looking into this one because of the simplicity of it. right now it seems like the best bang for the buck.
I use the Motorola H700 with no problems
Motorola H700 for me to very good, talking on phone is good, music sounds good ... MSVC sucks big time, i got mine off ebay for 22 bucks
I have the cheapest Jabra I could find in the shop, 10 UK pounds.
It's rubbish. I bought it just to try how bt headsets work.
Interestingly (although maybe I'm the last one to find out), using the attached cab I can send all sound through it whether it likes it or not (it would only work when there's a call otherwise).
What is the model number for Motorola BT head set

Looking for Wired earphones with Microphone

Hey guys, been digging through the threads and found a couple on earphones, though not exactly what I was looking. Looking for your opinions on best earphones with a microphone for about $35-$65. Comfortable, preferably in ear design. Hoping for a pretty good microphone so that people can actually hear me, especially outside, though I don't want the mic to be huge (that's one thing I liked about the stock headphones till they broke; the mic was discrete). Also, I would prefer one of the earphones to be longer than the other so that I could have them hang around my neck when not in use. All opinions welcome.
So far I've looked at:
Sennheiser MM50
MetroFi 170vi
-Thanks

Does this headset works the same way as the htc headset that was supplied with the phone?
thanks for the picture. Too bad it's not an around the neck design. And yes, I believe all the headsets will work like the original one. Though I should note that none of the headsets will give you extra functionality like changing songs/volume, but you can still pick up/hang up calls.
I brought a nokia headset hs47 and that does not work well with HD

I was just about to buy those last night but then I saw that there were alot of fakes floating around and didn't want to get ripped off. Also, I found reviews for the "nuforce ne-7m" and they're all extremely positive. Everyone saying that they're better than the MM50, though, unfortunately, they're not around the neck design. I still ended buying them, if I don't like them I'll just return it and get the MM50s.

Got them on tues (very fast shipping as monday was a holiday). First of all, I'm no audiophile but here's my best 'imho.' Compared to the stock headphones, well, you really can't compare them. It's like listening to music in 3D; there's depth to the sound. The mic is in a good position and tiny. So far, everyone has said that they've had no problem hearing me and I've never heard the wind blowing in my earphones (which use to happen all the time on the stock ones). They block out sound very well and don't disrupt others since you can't hear the music unless u have them on/are really really close. If you turn up the volume (on the HD) all the way up, it gets ridiculously loud, but remains high quality. The cable is nice and long (sometimes that's an issue for me since I'm like 6feet 4in (1.93m). Extremely comfortable!
Cons(?): Not around the neck design. 'Bent' (L shaped) jack vs the stock straight jack. The sound carries through the wire into the headphones when they hit/touch something (like a zipper on a sweatshirt); however I think this might be true on all in-ear headphones? If anyone can comment on that, especially on the MM50 in that scenario.
3 other notes: It has one of those sliders were the line separates into the right/left headphone to help keep them from tangling. Came with a pouch and 3 other sized ear pieces. It has a 'clip' to clip the headphones to a piece of clothing so that they don't bounce around.
If you have any other questions or I missed something let me know and I'll try and get it answered for you.

Man I've got the same case, what are the chances!! Lol. I use it when I'm cutting grass. I have a Acoustic Research Bluetooth receiver that turns any headphones/earbuds into Bluetooth wireless headphones/earbuds. Works perfect and I highly recommend it! Love being able to use any headphones instead of having to buy specific ones.

Tried these too. Head crushers. Can't fall out for sure but I swear my skull was pulverized.
Not many stereo BT headsets I've not tried and so far, all but 1 have gone back.
I"ve been using these for the last couple of weeks since I bought them on sale for $30 in a one day deal. So far so good, I think they sound and fit great and are supposedly sweat resistant.
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHB6000-28-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B004KPLS5M
My one concern is that they block out too much sound and that might cause a safety issue if you don't hear an oncoming car while running.
The other negative thing is that they have a lot of small buttons and it's near impossible to hit the right one while running. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it.
Is the jabra sport not even out yet? All I see for it is ads.

I've been using the S9s for at least three years now... Best Bluetooth stereo I've ever bought. I only enjoy them for working out at the gym, my head is small so when I run, the S9s bounce a bit and can be annoying - I'd be interested in buying the Jab Sports. ( been using studio beats for running, great but not sweat resistant at all =/
**Edit: I have the original S9s not the HD version, might try those if the fit is different.
By far the most disappointing headset ive owned were the s10hd by moto..the s9s were alot better and louder..ive had problems with my first set of jaybird freedom jf3s,no range and disconnects...but after swapping them out i get 20feet range and super loud and clear bass..plus they never fall out from running or lifting.id recommend the jf3 freedom, just gotto find a properly working set.

Not really true. I just looke up the reviews on Amazon - and I agree with the most recent review, which was 4 stars. You'll notice the same minor concerns that I expressed above about the button size and isolation. Actually - with more use on the streets, isolation isn't as good as I thought - but is actually safer. I can pump up the volume to hear my source, but will still hear the sound of an oncoming car.
These aren't perfect, but they're working fine for me. Most of the bad reviews I see on Amazon seem to regard a failure - which I might someday experience of course. In which case I would come back here and report the hardware problem.
But so far so good. These are working better for me than my much loved Jabra BT8010's - which I still use in the office because of the convenience of being able to remove the 2nd stereo earbud. But fit for working out and sound quality are better on these, no doubt. There's not much bass, but it's there - and the sound is pretty clean/clear.
Best wireless headset I have tested is the Sony mw600 excellent range

Any 3 botton headsets/earbuds?

Hey guys I'm looking for some 3 button headsets that work with our phones. Seems like Google keeps sending me to vendors who are Apple specific. Ideas?
I'm using the Xiaomi Pistons and they work great. There are existing reviews online that can help you determine what headset/earbuds to get. Xiaomi Pistons is pretty up there and is relatively cheap, ~$25. Beware of fakes.

Correct, I have these:

And only the middle button works.
I've heard form other people that these (Samsung version) work for android phones with all 3 buttons. I posted the correct link this time.

Thanks. Ordered a set of the Xiaomi.
Xiaomi earphone the middle buttons doesn't work for me.

The Amazon premium headphones work great. Only good part about the Amazon Fire phone is the headphones:

Just received my Xiaomi earbuds. So far using Spotify for music NONE of the buttons does anything.
The white Samsung headphones that came with my Note 3 work just fine with the N6. All buttons functioning properly.
I'm using headset from Galaxy Nexus (I know, old), only one button, it works on N5 to skip music but won't work on N6. Thinking about getting new headphone. Dose anyone know if Bose SoundTru for Samsung Galaxy works on N6? How's the sound quality? Here's the link www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_o...#currentState=soundtrue_ie_headphones_samsung

JayBird Bluebuds X work perfectly. They're pricey, but there's ways to get them for significantly less then the list price on their site. You can get a pair for $119.00 total, and that's with shipping. Still kind of high, but I feel they're well worth it. So much more convenient having no connected wire to deal with.

Bummer man-- I just tried out my headset in Spotify (as well as PowerAMP as zephiK also tried) and everything seemed to work normally...
Where did you buy your set of Pistons? Maybe you got one of the knockoff versions that are out there?
Android 3 button headsets needs App to be fullt functional
This company specializes in Android 3-button headsets, from basic ones to ultra high end. Degauss Labs Noir is a hybrid earphones for Android using both balanced and Dynamic armatures. Awesome!!
Large selection if Android headsets:
BUT! You also need a App like 'headset control center' that gives you the possibility to program your microphone buttons to do what you want them to. Added to that if you want an online musicplayer to work with your buttons then you also need the App. So the Android 3-button headset works a whole lot better used with the App, especially if your a user of Spotify, Deezer, Rdio IR such pay per month music-service
Google Play Free headset app

Hope this info helped a soul or two

3-button supercharged headset for Android Nexus 6
I was at the IFA show in Berlin and stumbled into this company making Android headsets with 3-buttons. They launched the first pair of Hybrid based technology 3-button earphones for Android and Nexus-line called Noir. What is unique about them obtop of the 3-buttons actually working is that they sound incredible. That is due to that they use a Balanced armature for treble and mid and a Dynamic speaker for the bass. I think the quality of sound is absolutely amazing. Android review is found here: http://www.androidcoliseum.com/2015/04/noir-from-degauss-labs-bring-hi-fi-to.html?m=1

I use Degauss Labs Dual Drivers. Sound fantastic, and have a 3 button remote that works with my stock Nexus 6.

ZenWatch Speaker Support

I just found this, searching for some hint of Wear Speaker support, that the new Asus ZenWatch 2 and the new Heuwai watches actually have secret speakers built in them.
http://www.talkandroid.com/269191-s...tes-audio-support-in-new-android-wear-update/
Any talks on making them work before hand? It is rumored to be enabled with Marshmallow update.
I'm hoping it's for vocal confirmation from Ok Google, similar to what you get when using it work a bluetooth speaker. Being able to use it as a speakerphone would be interesting, but isn't that big of a selling point for me anymore.
Day to day stuff I wouldn't purposely use the speaker to make voice calls, but I love to float in my pool during summer months. The only thing I can't do from my LG G Watch is take calls. I am also in IT and constantly running around. Several times I have answered the call using the watch and had to yell at my phone "Hold on Hold on Hold on..." until I had a hand free. I think a vocal search result would also be very cool. Or even just a "ding ding" when I say "Ok Google".
Anyway I am very interested in the Asus Zen Watch 2. The price point and features are exactly what I am looking for. It would be a great step up from my LG G Watch. The only thing I dislike are the bezels, but they don't look that bad.

I just got the watch today. Since it was going to be my first smartwatch I didn't want to spend too much money. I had it narrowed down between this and a first gen Moto 360 and after some research, decided on the ZenWatch 2. I have to admit, I'm a extremely satisfied with my decision. The price for this is amazing, and to be honest the bezels don't bother me at all. Definitely going to recommend this to others looking for a fair priced Android Wear watch.

The battery life on this thing is amazing too, I have gone 3 days normal use with the ambient mode off
Just waiting for UK release date, no info googling so far.
This is the ONLY smartwatch with a speaker built in. Since the LG Urbane 2 was recalled, we will be the first to see how the speaker is utilized.
I really hope Android Wear 6.0 adds calling speaker support. Wear watches are the only watches that do not support this and honestly is sad. Everyone who asks me about my watch ask if I can talk into for calls. And honestly I would love the feature because I am constantly on the go for work and would love to be able to quickly take a phone call like, "hey hold on. I am talking on my watch. my hands are full. walking in now.".

The Galaxy Gear line does not run on Android Wear. Samsungs runs on its own Tizen OS.
The Galaxy Watches, Apple Watches, Chinese Watches, Microsoft Watches, etc all have speakers (most of them do).
The ZenWatch 2 is the ONLY Android Wear watch that has a speaker.
I really loved the Samsung Gear S watch... but its limited support for non-samsung devices turned me off. Also the Tizen line is a different animal and notification support is limited to Tizen app support. I am glad the Tizen line has broadened to support all androids.
The Hauwei watch also has a speaker

Asus ZenWatch 2 comes in two screen sizes: 1.63-inch and 1.45-inch with 320x320 pixels and 280x280 pixels screen resolutions respectively. It uses Amoled display technology. This smart watch has 4GB of internal NAND storage and 512MB. It is available in India (On top online shopping sites)

People forget that the Huawei Watch was confirmed to have a speaker long before the ZenWatch 2.

Took mine apart to look
So.... I was curious and took mine apart to look at it, seems like there could it be a speaker. The black piece has 2 metal connection to it possibly for + and -, I didn't have any wire around to test to see if it is a speaker though.
*Edit* I just looked at the huawei link and yep that is a speaker inside the zenwatch
Enjoy the pics
Could anyone with the smaller Zenwatch model (WI502Q) also open the back cover to see whether there is a speaker inside?

Wear 6.0 will come out within the next few months, speaker support is coming as a part of that update. At the moment, wear doesn't have any speaker support, so it's not as simple as rooting and enabling hidden speakers
I'll probably have a different watch by then.
