[RADIO][4.4.4][VZW]NEW-MSM8960PRO_BP_232.55.52.00r - Moto X Android Development

YOU HOLD MYSELF AND XDA FREE FROM ANY LIABILITY. FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
Pulled a newer version of the radio for the VZW Variant of the Moto X. Version 232.55.52.00r. Will work on VZW phones and on TMobile. Sprint and ATT are unconfirmed. This is newer than the version included with the 4.4.4 OTA which was actually used in the unreleased 4.4.3 OTA. Don't know why they didn't update it when they released 4.4.4
You must have adb setup in order to flash these files.
1) Download the Files here Radio_MSM8960PRO_BP_232.55.52.00r.zip
2) Reboot into bootloader. Place the extracted files you downloaded into your ADB folder.
3) Open a command prompt directed to your adb folder and type these commands
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot reboot
4) Verify all commands were successful
5) Verify correct baseband version in about phone
6) Profit. Thank baby jesus.

Thank you. Going to try this
Where did you get the radio.

Fastbooted in. See how it works.

Were you able to get the Verizon Moto X system per chance? I'd like to give it whirl.

I own a droid Maxx and I interchangeably flash Moto X and Droid Maxx stuff on it...

Wondering if using this will cause the 4.4.4 OTA to be confused when the Moto X update gets released soon?

I'll just fastboot the other back in. I usually revert my phone back to complete stock any how prior to updating to the next OTA.

It may fail system verification. In that case revert back to the stock radio for your version and you'll be fine.

I believe that is an M8 forum? Completely different device. It wouldnt even flash

I meant that a similar zip packet be made for flashing the radio. I know the M8 pack wouldn't work for the X.

Does the BL need to be unlocked to flash radios?

Which is really odd. That's an older radio. Specifically it began rolling out with TMobil 4.4.3 moto X roms. I posted it here for the maxx

The one posted in this thread is a newer version. Me and @SamuriHL were just discussing this.

I just sent you a message that could REALLY make this fun. LOL

Just getting my Dev Edition from a Swappa purchase sometime today; been reading on what/how since they pulled the trigger on Kit Kat as soon as I bought it.
It should already be unlocked/rooted/twrp installed.
So, is the ZIP here one that I could simply flash through TWRP or would I need to handle differently? And, if so, would there be any repercussions? (lose root I'm sure; what about TWRP recovery - I'm sure it's older than more recent 4.4 version that's out)
Thanks!

Thank you to the both of you! Flash was successful (I flashed the T-Mo modem first, then the ROM) on the America Movil XT1058 for Puerto Rico (which is essentially the AT&T version, only there wasn't a bootloader lock )
It was a bit of a pain just removing all the bloatware that came along with the Verizon version (had to combine recovery /system remount and TiBu to get everything removed), but I'm not complaining!

Software Upgrade Assistant fails
SUA acts like it knows my phone is connected, even says searching for updates, but never lists my G2 in the window of devices. Drivers are current and using LG cable to a main USB port.
Does LG post changelogs or would this come from Verizon?
I would think VZW since they are the one changing LG's software.

Most idiot-proof way to upgrade atm is using the Verizon upgrade utility that is included with the phone. Just hook it up to your pc, follow the autorun prompt, and then proceed to download it and it should install the update automatically.
Dumb question probably... Do I need to do something first if coming from malladus rom like revert to stock?

Lollipop Firmware Help

Hi.
I want to upgrade to the Lollipop builds from my m8. I am currently running the GPe 4.4.2 rom, and was wondering which firmware I should flash. Im looking at the sense 4.4.4 firmware and I was just wondering if I can flash any sense 4.4.4 firmware or will I have to get a specific one for the AT&T m8. Thanks in advance!
If your running GPE than your unlocked,CWM/TWRP,rooted so that's good.how about S-OFF?
As far as upgrades it all depends on how fast you want it.
at&t being on the low end of the list for receiving OTA's
Fully converting to GPE would ensure a faster update but will lack the Sense version lollipop look and feel.
Read around and become more familiar with what options you have
I already am s-off and know what the Gpe conversion does and how I will loose sense. But I was wondering on my main thread which file of the sense 4.4.4 firmware I should flash.
But thanks anyways

3.28.401.6 or .7 will work fine
No such thing as lost sense for good.you can go back from converted
Yeah I'm still trying to figure out how to back pedal to sense partition. There are a few different threads telling different things to do. From what I can understand to back pedal from gpe to sense. You just download 1.54, factory reset, flash custom recovery, flash ROM..
Is this firmware for the US Dev HTC One m8 or is it the international unlocked? Since the ATT M8 and the US Dev M8 have identical hardware, I just want to make sure I use the proper firmware.

Correct..imo do not use euro firmware on an att device. Use the firmware made for the device your on. Here soon i dont think youll be able to interchange firmwares shortly with euro devices without causing major issues.

You may have accidentally renamed the file firmware.zip.zip by having the file extensions hidden in Windows (it certainly looks that way from the screenshot of your file folder).
Did you change your cid? Looked at pics command should only be fastboot flash zip firmware.zip not all the other strings in the command.
Looks like its in a folder named adb so you should cd into that folder once there the command above should be entered.

I flashed the Verizon one. The reason I asked my previous question is because Volte/WiFi Calling is important to me because I get LTE signal just fine in my area but no 3G/HSPA so I rely on those two for phone calls at home. Volte and WiFi calling are working good. Thanks for the upload.
Since this is the stock ROM would dirty flashing as a update work okay?
EDIT: Nevermind, I used my eyes and read the OP.
EDIT 2: Successfully flashed. You the man! Been waiting to get this VOLTE fix. Big thanks :good:

Huh? That's the Jeter ota to pie? Dude, nice. I poked around in the zip, it is indeed the OTA for the Sprint Moto g6 play, Jeter, to Android 9 pie.

Yeah I was testing the final version. Snagged the ota. Already tested everything. Worked on locked and unlocked bootloader. Takes forever to install, so just wait. Root and decrypt still work exactly the same, with the same updated twrp. No issues.

It's an OTA. So you need to flash clean stock firmware on your phone (the one that is on it now, hopefully January patch for Sprint, boost, Virgin, etc)
Have the update in the root of your internal storage and check for updates manually. In settings/system/system updates. It should find it and run it.
Stock system, recovery, encryption, everything.
People keep saying that one button nav is disabled on Moto. It's not. Just have to enable it in Moto app

So do I actually flash, or can I just factory reset and then update? I'm not rooted .

If you never rooted or anything, you can update.
I forgot 1 thing though, give storage permission to Motorola update service.
You don't have to factory reset.

Do I just move the .zip file to my internal storage? Like listed with all the other folders? It won't let me move to (/) before my storage. Might be because it's Sprint update and I'm on Verizon..

Oh no. It's for Sprint dude. That's why I said that to begin with. Dont even try this one.
Why would you even try that? I said Sprint, boost, Virgin Mobile.

Whew... Close one. I thought I helped make a brick
I wish you guys would stop posting aljeter stuff in this forum. It's a different phone. Talk to the mods and get your own forum so you can stop messing up people's phones.
