"Platinum" Hybrid Case with kickstand $39.99 - Sprint LG G3

I saw this at Best Buy, it's kind of pricey but it fit super snug to the phone and added minimal bulk. I was about to buy it. What do you think? It has the magnetic kickstand and also comes with the belt holster.

I had this for my note 2 , love the feel and adds no bulk

The case isn't bad but to me its kind of expensive. I have it currently but I don't use the holster. The phone also sits up off the table with the bottom higher than the top because of the kick stand and that kind of bothers me but thats a personal annoyance =) I do love the feel of the Ez Grip texture though, feels nice, and really easy to clean.

I bought this case n holster and I only use the holster. The case for me is to slippery. I got an lg circle case from sprint and fits perfectly with this holster.

I got this case when I bought the phone simply because it was the only one available at BB. Have been pleasantly surprised although I don't use the holster. The grip is quite tacky so I feel comfortable when holding with one hand, yet it fits in a pocket amazingly well. Feels smaller in my pocket than my GS3 did with the body glove drop suit case.

The Platinum from Best Buy is just a rebranded version of the Seidio. I got the Seidio and love it.

I love these cases. My last 4 phones used these cases . Saved my butt several times from dropping onto the ground and grandkid(s) abuse. Use with care , screen protectors have a tendency to lift on the sides when putting on or taking off this case.
,,.................peace Brian

Looks good. But it's too bulky for me. But thanks for sharing

I almost bought this, but have Amazon prime & knew I could wait 2 days. I bought 2 cases, 1 being a Folsom case (I think it's Folsum) & the other, same idea, not sure the brand, but the second one uses the rubber flaps like over charging port. I also bought a 10 pack of skins. Of course it's really a 3 pack as I won't be using purple, pink, yellow etc. I prefer the skins as I'm extremely careful with phone. I use no screen protector either. Only spent about $20 for the total of 12 cases. Good deal.

How many cases have holsters?

I got the Defender on my phone right now....and honestly, I'm slowly killing it. The little plastic clips are breaking, and the charging port cover is half ripped....I need a new case. I really want it to come with a holster though.
Who else makes a solid case & holster for this phone?
I love the Seido Platinum case I bought when I first got the EVO. It's slim and durable. I'm a cable tech and the case still looks brand new, the holster has a gash in it but it's not noticeable. The only problem I do have with it is my phone tends to reboot if I don't position it correctly when I'm driving. The phone's power button gets pushed into the holster causing the thing to reboot.

I have the otterbox commuter case and the seidio active holster. You need to buy them separately but it's like they were made for each other. It's a good combo. I work construction and haven't had any problems.
That`s what i have, the otterbox commuter and the seidio holster both very durable and very strong, and it fits like a charm, go that direction and you wont be disappointed, you should get both for under 40 on ebay.
I've been happy with the one I bought at the Sprint store. It was only 30 came with holster. I use it daily, slim and great clip.

I have a Seidio Surface case and holster.
To be honest, I dont like it at all. I've had the seidio surface cases on my previous phones and loved them, but the issue with this one it that the buttons on the Evo 4G LTE's Surface case has raised buttons laying overtop of the real buttons on the phone rather than cutouts like the version for the Evo3D had. I am constantly rebooting or turning down the volume or whatever else.
The fix for seidio would be to have cutouts for the buttons instead of raised inserts. I would love to find one with cutouts instead.

Ultra Thin Translucent Skin

http://www.ebay.com/itm/190925052983?var=490194438302
Has anyone tried this for the Note 3? I bought something very similar in gray translucent color for my Note 2 which fit the job perfectly since I keep my phone in my front right pocket so don't need anything bulky and the design/color turned out nice. Just hoping the charger port is big enough for use with Smart Dock which was a little snug with the Note 2 one. $3.99 with shipping included from Asia.

old thread, but I came across it and figured i'd respond.
I had something just like this for my HTC One.
it was great in how thin it was. Obviously not much for drop protection, but it provided better grip and scratch protection without adding weight/size.
Only issue was that the fit was very tight, and the material is not elastic. As a result, i ended up stretching one of the cutouts slightly, and it never quite sat perfectly. I liked it anyway, and would try one again if i still had the phone. I might try one of these for my GN3.
These cases are superb. I bought several of these just in case I want to swap them out. So far though, I have only swapped it out once because of light scratches from a year of use on my S3. These cases are definitely not for drop protection. Strictly for scratch protection. They are the thinnest available. They are also not grippy. I like it because I personally hate the dust collecting silicone cases. At first I bought the black version for my black note 3, but then i bought the white/clear version of the case and I like the clear case more. The black case hides the silver accent edge of the note 3 while the white one allows that detailing to show. It also doesn't hurt that they're dirt cheap.
I bought one of these and they are super thin. I love that it barely adds bulk. But as windowmaker said, there's no grip what so ever. At least before you had some grip from the battery cover. I decided to trim out the back of mine so I have some grip at the back since the battery cover is now exposed. But still no side grip. Maybe put clear skinomi skin on the sides for better grip. But if you want thin, this is one of the thinnest out there.

I've got one. Not bad but not perfect. The fit wasn't good enough, it always looked like it was coming off on one side. Cutouts very good. Does not protect the screen or the camera in any way. I switched to Ringke Slim since and I think it's better and not much bulkier. But for the money - great buy. And the Note still looks like the Note. And the owner still looks like homo sapiens not some anal-retentive douche who spends a fortune on a lovely and stylish phone just to turn it into some Ninja-Turtle global destruction device
Does anyone have a picture of the note 3 with this case on?

I used to use these style of cases because I wanted absolute minimal size added to the phone while providing basic scratch protection.
Recently I moved to "skins"

That's a skinomi wood one, and I much prefer it to those cheap 2mm cases. Not does it keep the phone slim, it provides the same type of protection. The cheap ebay cases werent going to provide any type of drop protection anyways.

Caseology note 3 TPU bumper case only $8.50 @ Amazon

I thought I'd share the case I finally settled on after going through 2 crappy ones. One was a metal frame and the other was all jelly.
This case is like a hard plastic but bendable enough to easily get the phone out if you want. It looks great and is really durable. I like it because you can lay the phone face down and not have to worry about the glass touching the surface.
I haven't noticed any extra heat build up, unless I'm just going nuts, like downloading a torrent and playing a game. It's only about $8.50 shipped and I would recommend this to anyone. Feel free to tell me how much you hate it or love it.

Do either of you have a glass shield on your phone? IMm curious if this case will interfere with a glass shield.
I have a generic one from ebay and it does not interfere at all

Why is it called a bumper case when it has a full back on it?

Do you know if wireless charging will work if using this case?
Had mine for about a week nice cover. The Spigen bounce case has more protection on the corners.

I have the burgundy leather one, but I'm not a big fan of it. It's not as attractive as I expected. Also, I found it too thick for me although it did seem like it would protect from drops. So if you don't like thick cases, this may not be for you.

TSCASE Brown Leather Case Review!

So I stumbled upon this case on Amazon when searching for either a nice leather or faux leather case for my S7, and I was sick of the only ones available being those portfolio cases that cover the front. All I wanted was a case that was either a tpu style, or one that reminds me of the Incipio Feather or Spigen Slim Fit where the phone just pops in but the tops/bottoms are exposed....well I found this Tscase brand case and this thing is honestly awesome.
http://www.amazon.com/TSCASE-Genuin...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
The leather feel on the back is really soft and smooth, and I chose the regular brown one instead of the netted, although the netted looks cool too.

the nice thing about this case is that it comes up over the corners, so the corners aren't so exposed. the top and bottom are exposed, yeah, but as you can see in the pics the corners are fine.
there's also a small lip around the screen so placing it screen down isn't an issue. plus, it pretty much hugs the sides, so i'm sure putting a screen protector that goes edge to edge wouldn't be an issue with this case.
overall, i'm so glad i found a cool leather case for this thing, and for a fraction of the cost of what the official samsung one is going to cost! i recommend this case if you like a thin, leather, good looking case!

the 10 dollar verizon branded ones. they're meh. don't mind the top corner by the ear piece lol...when i put it into gear VR one day it ripped it up and although i'm OCD and it bothers me, i'm way too lazy to put another one on.
plus within a week of having it on, i got a huge gash, so these screen protectors scratch easily. and obviously the sides have that effect because the glass curves.
overall, i only got them bc i needed them day one.
Can't find this in Amazon Canada? Other than Amazon US/UK, anyone know where I can pick one up?
hmm not sure. maybe they just aren't setup to ship in canada? it's a really nice case, though.
I bought the same case and I absolutely love it. I'm interested to see how well it holds up and how it weathers.

How are you guys carrying your Rog Phone 2?

It has been a month now since I got the Rog Phone 2.
Since day 1 I have applied 3M clear protection on the phone body.
However since it was new I was insecure I had got a cheap gel clear case for the phone.
I also used my pouch which I got it custom made since iPhone XS Max and then used it with my Samsung Note 10 Plus and now for the Rog Phone 2.

I am finding the gel case is adding extra weight to the already heavy Rog Phone 2.
So I will be rocking the phone now without the gel case.
I think the 3M Clear protection will be good enough for me. Just have to be careful to not drop the phone.
I have custom made 2 pouches out of Cork material to carry the Rog Phone 2. Black for the week days to the office and brown for the weekends when I dress casual.
Now I am waiting for the 4 sets of skins I ordered from capesindia.
https://www.capesindia.com/products/asus-rog-phone-2-skins-wraps-covers
Will then replace the 3M clear protection.

I had it done from a local store in Hong Kong. However you can also order one from skinomi. It is similar.

The clear 3m looks awesome.
Shocked a phone as awesome as this one doesn't have more case support
The problem is that most of the companies make cases for iPhones. Samsung also doesn’t get that much support. Can’t even imagine ASUS would get much support.
It is only because ROG Phone 2 had a special China model that there are a few cases in the market. Sadly they aren’t that great.
That is why using skins will be better. The ones from capesindia look very nice.

I just drop mine in my blue jean's pocket. I did put a skin on it though and it has the free case over the skin. I also covered the vent with a piece of black vinly cause I don't want dust and lint getting into the phone.
Wow, you guys are extra careful with your phones.
I just used the clear plastic case that came with the phone, and waiting for the screen protector to come in so I can apply it.
Bag to carry ROG phone 2 and accessories
I looking for a case or bag that can carry my phone and all the accessories. When I saw the reviews. The reviewers got a rog case/bag with their version. Will attach Linus tech tip version. But I would love a case or bag that's not too big or small to carry my rog phone 2. Any suggestion?
