There's a custom kernel for CM11? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Like the title says: there's a custom kernel for CM11?
Obviously for Sola.

Why you post this on development section, @Vestar ?
You should post it on Q&A section, not here!
Request to close thread!
Btw, CM11 is using custom kernel (I mean, boot.img on the zip is custom kernel).
No need to ask it.

Ok, thanks for the answer and sorry for my mistake.
I saw a thread similar to mine here somewhere and i thought i could open a topic here.
Sorry guys.
PS: However i noticed that CM11 already has a custom kernel, but it doesn't seem to support overclock.
There's a way to overclock Sola with that kernel?

Hmm, CM11 developers didn't add overclock support to our kernel.
Maybe you can ask to add it on CM11 Thread

Thanks for the suggestion!
I will try, hoping for the best.

We won't overclock kernel of CM11 until overclock is 100% stable, and nowadays it isn't

Mnm, well, that's a pity.
However thanks for the answer.
Hope shortly something moves on this front.

Its a shame because its not stable ??
Come on man !
Build then a kernel by your own ^^

I'm only saying that i hope that a stable version will be released, sooner or later.
I don't get your disappointment.
EDIT: Ok, i understood now where the problem is.
I wrote the wrong word. I wanted to say pity, not shame.
I'm not a native english speaker, so, sometimes, i make this kind of mistakes. Sorry for that.

Ask stupid questions here! Noobs here! Not dev topics!

This is a topic for all of your stupid questions to be answered rather than in the dev topics which is clearly pissing developers off ^^
Ask whatever here, just NOT IN THE DEV TOPIC!
First question: Why do you created this topic? You really think that noobs will post their noob questions in this topic? Noob is noob and nobody can tell him where they have to place their stupid question.
If you don't test it you can't say that it doesn't work
What's a noob ? ^^

You don't know what "noob" means?
Ya, noobs don't realize what they are. Think of the movie sixth sense

In french : "peut se traduire par "débutant" mais a plutôt un caractère dépreciatif => intraduisible quoi ^^"
But I think you are joking
Noob's question: If you port Android 2.3 on Wave succesfully, does will work ICS without problems? Need whether working with GSM, Camera, drivers again?
Sorry for my noob's english language
Noob question, already posted on dev but not answeared:
Is the GB a Cyanogen Mod version? I heard of something like that sometime ago in Froyo thread and never heard of it again... So when I say GB i thought it was it....
So is it a GB CM version? IF it isn't, why don't just make one? Wouldn't it be better?

When the kernel (drivers) are made then it works more or less for all versions.
The main probleme is then to port the new version and that is a hard job too (this is what Trigrouzen is doing).
I'm not a dev but I think that what I told you is right or something near the truth.

No it is a Galaxy S ROM.
Make a Cyanogen ROM is work and devs have to choose between them since it is a lot of work and that making 2 versions is not resonable as they are no full port for the moment.
I'm not sure but I think that porting a Galaxy S firmware is easier since the kernel is based on this device.
See! Trick worked on some more intelligable noobs lol
But those who are noobs that have sense ask here too! At least then there is less clog up in dev topics...

In fact CM7 will be very easy to run after we have a fully working kernel.

You can install downloaded apps and games by removing your battery. remove your memory card. now put your game files in memory card slot. and you are good to go..
Just kidding. dont take me seriously...
babonescu no applist here (against the rules)
You can install games and apps via kies

I think you are beyond a Newbie. (in formal language) I suggest you to learn SEARCHING. There is an awesome site for that! It's name is GOOGLE.
Please write right things to right topics.
PS: This is the android porting section. You can try other sections in bada stage...

It annoys me that me, as a noob, that I can quite happily read the first post of the Dev topics and not litter it with endless "when this, when that" questions because they ask you not to. Why can't people understand this? When an update is ready for release it will be said at the beginning of the topic. Stop asking questions and let the Devs get on with what they are doing, which most of the time they do FOR FREE.
If a free service to which you have no obligation slightly inconveniences you then you aren't really in a position to complain about it. simple.
Anyways I'm out, sold my waveII on ebay for a fair buck and now moving onto the galaxy W which looks quite interesting.
Keep up the good work Razyre! You've given this project the jump start it needed.

Your question goes to far in the future since the most important thing is to get a good kernel ( the Badadroid team is working on this)
For the moment Tigrouzen is on the way to port Gingerbread.
Then maybe later it can be port if the project is a success.
To sum up, ICS is not the priority.

EXTREMELY nice of you to ask the question in the Q&A section, but sadly i don't think the ones that could help you look here much, so go to rom's thread in development section and ash over there.
i can't remember exactly but it had do something with changing either init.d or build.prop....if no one answers you could go to zeubea's ICS thread and you'll probably find the answer in the first few pages, because he too overclocked the stock rom, and we asked him to provide it @600mhz, and sure enough he did.
thanks for the reply farukb but for the fantastic rule of the forum i have <10 post and i can't ask in proper threadif someone else wants to help me ..

CM11 Kernels

Are there any? I noticed that in Villuminati Rom there are 2 govs and schedulers and they suck.
Greetings,
Firstly I moved your thread to Q&A where it belongs.
Secondly if you don't have anything helpful that is on topic please just move along.
Thanks,

No problem BD.
Thank you for cleaning up the thread even though it was 3 posts. lol
I'm going to clarify though...the ROM is awesome!
The gov's and sched's are horrible. Just wanting to know if there is a way to add some. I thought that an alternate kernel will do that.

well probably no one replies to you because you ask in the wrong section. this is i9300 q&a
you should rather move to i9305 q&a
anyway. syah kernel has been discontinued for a long time now, and does not support cm11
but I do not know which kernels work for i9305 so please ask in the correct section

Please read the rules before posting.
"BEST" threads are not allowed here, and this section is meant for development only...
I am sorry I haven't read the rules. but where can I post it then?
The best, fastest ROM, is the one that you find to be so. Who cares what others think, they're not using your phone. Happy flashing and experimenting to find your fast rom.

You can't post best threads anywhere here
Here you can ask questions but avoid asking best Rom, kernel etc. Just take a look at feedback, post thanks etc and choose what's best for you!

There is a new policy on"Best threads" and they are currently being allowed if they produce some useful discussion. The second any flaming starts, they will be closed. However, "best threads" have no place in any of the Development threads and should go into the Q&A or General forums. Thread moved from SIII Android Dev. to SIII Q&A.
Thanks!

As @xmixmaster said above: it's primarily the kernel. So choose any lite ROM, which run's with Boeffla, set governor to performance and stay near a power point
rr is awesome with boeffla kernel zzmoove optimal
