[Q] Help unlock/root Htc desire 601 - HTC Desire 601

Hi i have been trying for days to unlock my htc desire 601 from carrier without paying i came up with the conclusion rooting is the easiest way besides paying but i can't find out a way todo this with Hboot 2.22 and s on but to turn s off i must downgrade my hboot and i can't find a way todo this with s on
I already have
unlocked bootloader
Goldcard (i dont know how to check if it worked)
Someone please help assist me in the right direction i cant go back to my old phone now becuase my sim card was cut to micro sim to fit this phone...

will it help
Should i focus on s off or downgrading it to then s off and how will i go about doing this and will this unlock the carrier lock?

I tried to carrier unlock my zara_ul as well. S-off'd, rooted, stayed on 4.1.2, tried many apps, nothing worked.
Just pay the $15 to unlock it online and be done with it. The time it'll save will make up for it.

Athena Project Touch ROM Update failed

Hello,
I tried the TOUCH 3.0, but after it gets to 1% update, the htc reboots and on the pc it says "image is corrupt, please check your updater utility" I have re-downloaded the touch and same thing happens, any help?
Thanks
You are probably going to get flamed for not searching, but I believe that means your phone isn't unlocked. If you haven't used Olipro's unlocker do that then retry the update. His unlocker isn't the same as sim unlocking just in case you didn't know. Good luck to you.
I did do search and I did come up with what you are saying that the phone is not unlocked, but it is unlocked, and I purchased it as an unlock phone, this is why I am stuck. So any help would be much appreciated.
From what I understand and read is that there are two unlocks that your phone needs. Sim unlock which is what your phone has and I believe IMEI unlock which it doesn't. Olipro's unlocker will take care of that. Using the unlocker either way is just a safe bet for making sure everything works well with your device.

you device needs to be cid unlocked not sim. Goto athena thread and dow nload unlocker from there. Use step one to unlock then you will be able to use this rom.

Does anyone know of a business offering CID unlocks?

I'm looking to CID unlock my Tmobile G2(Hero) handset.
It's already sim unlocked, but i cannot get the internet to work on it.
I've always had Windows handsets in the past ,and with the help of the geniuses on these boards, have always been able to CID unlock and flash ROMs etc,but i'm finding this handset confusing and just too difficult.
Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who offers this service for a charge, within the UK?
I just want to get this done if possible.
Many thanks!
It's been a while since i had a winmo phone, remind me what is cid unlock? is it the HardSPL thing?

[Q] Please Help : Unable to select "USB Debugging" option on HTC G2 Tmobile

I have a HTC G2 T-Mobile version that i am trying to debrand. But the problem is that my phone is stuck at Insert SIM screen and doesn't allow me to enter into the OS. Unfortunately i dont have the sim too as i got this phone from UK. Due to this i am not able to enable the USB Debugging option on the phone
Please help me with this if there is a workaround to enable the USB Debugging option so that i can install custom recovery and debrand my HTC G2.
You can get another sim, put it in the phone, and get an unlocking code for it.
Otherwise, you're going to need the unlocked bootloader which is only on older releases of the hero.
thanx for the quick reply pulser_g2.........can you guide me as to where i can get an unlocked bootloader??? as it is difficult for me to get another sim
btw my phone has:
HBOOT - 1.76.0007

You can't just install another bootloader, as you're on the 0007 one. IIRC it's locked down to stop fastboot.
I am confused as to how you are going to use this phone without a SIM though, but I don't think you're gonna be able to root it unless you can get into the phone and run things.

[Q] Unlock Sim

Hi everybody,
My sister came back from Canada with her phone and she didn't ask for unlocking it (I don't even know if they would have done that for free., but....)
I told her, "no problem" I can do it. On my HTC just rooting the device did the trick!
On the Hero, even a goldcard seems to be useless.
Am I right?
The only option is to pay a site to give the code (I found unlock now .com that does it for 15€). Has anyone used this here?
It's a telus / canada HTC Hero and I wanted to be sure that someone has done something like that with success.
Thanks for anyone who will answer!
Edit : I found a process here, but I need cable. Anyone in Paris?

Bringing my Verizon M9 to Sprint, many questions...

I had an HTC ONE M9 that was IMEI blacklisted by Verizon, settled my account with them and now I'm trying to use it on Sprint which is my current provider. When I put my SIM in it says "This SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless." The phone refuses to pickup the Sprint network or connect. Hours on the phone with Verizon and Sprint both pointing the finger at each other, and the best advice I received was to factory reset with the Sprint SIM in, which didn't accomplish anything (same error message). I figured I'd take my hand at just flashing a Sprint ROM onto it since it's been sitting for almost 3 years now in the box practically brand new. I haven't done any phone flashing since my RAZR and EVO 4G so I'm incredibly rusty. From what I understand this is what I need to do:
Root the phone so I can turn S-OFF
Once S-OFF is achieved I can install twrp-3.2.2-0-hima.img
Use TWRP to create a full backup of the current firmware/ROM
Move 0PJAIMG_Sprint_HTC_One_M9_4.27.651.4_RUU.zip or Bad_Boyz_Sprint_ONE_M9_4.27.651.4_stock_rooted.zip to my phone's SD card (not sure what OPJAIMG is/means)
Flash the image using bootloader
Hopefully all this will get the phone to detect my Sprint SIM and from there I can contact Sprint to have them add my IMEI onto my plan.
Am I missing anything? Is there any walkthroughs I can check/use to help? I've been reading around for a few hours and have a million tabs open trying to piece this together. I'm still unsure as to how I can root/S-OFF the device and I feel the steps may be jumbled, but would really like to get a full backup before I attempt to install a new Firmware/ROM.
Thanks for any suggestions and please forgive any terminology I may have misused.
From what I've found so far I won't be able to unlock the bootloader without paying $25 for SunShine 3.5.13 so I guess all of this is dead in the water. fastboot oem unlock and fastboot oem get_identifier_token both come up as unknown command in ADB and there is no OEM Unlock option in the developer menu. Verizon is the worst
