{Xperia SP}[Help!!!] Ubuntu Touch Porting - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I am new here at XDA so excuse me if this is posted in the wrong category.
I have a couple of questions if someone could help me with the Ubuntu Touch porting.
I got up to "Retrieving the proprietary blobs from Android" and I have encountered a problem.
I am running Cyanogenmod 11.0 nightly build on a Sony Xperia SP huashan, I connected my phone to my computer and made sure that adb detected it (it did) and everything looked fine until I started the extract-files.sh in my /Desktop/Ubuntu Touch/device/sony/huashan/ folder.
After I started up the file in terminal, I received the error of "no such file or directory".
If you want to view the file it is in a github repository under Cyanogenmod/android_device_sony_huashan
If anyone knows how to fix that would be a big help so I could continue porting,
Thanks.

Hi!
I have a similar device too. Did you solve the problem?

[Help] (Status7) error with cm 10.1 builds

Hello, I've seen this is a common problem, however the big problem is I'm the one building the rom (cm 10.1) and for some reason every build can't be flashed and says:
Code:
script aborted (no error message)E
:Error in /...(zip's name)
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I've built successfully previously on a Virtual Box and then did dual boot on external hdd and downloaded source, set build enviroment, etc... on the dual booted OS but for some reason each build is giving that problem. I even tried to set the device tree almost as the first commit to see if something happens but nothing worked:crying:
Device is samsung galaxy music. Already tried using the new cwm recovery from the out folder but didn't worked

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood me, I builded cm 10.1 for my galaxy music inside a vbox that flashed successfully on my phone but the perfomance was really slow on the vbox so made instead a dual boot with an external hard drive to take less time doing the builds, but now, all the cm 10.1 builds I make now on the dual booted os gives that error 7 and I don't know why and I already deleted the vbox
i also faced this issue many times, and later i managed to pull the recovery.log and found that zip is corrupted while transferring to sdcard...
so after that i use sideload to install any zip with ease....
Well... after all the problem was in the BoardConfig.mk , so this commit fixed it, thanks for the answers.
So I think this thread can be closed

okay so for those of you who ever run into this issue this is how to bypass unforunatly after flashing i still run into errors on ./flash.sh fails to erase userdata but well start from the top and leave that for others since im almost positive that error is due to me not doing something correct
okay so basically its pretty simple go too the link and copy openc.xml at the link below and attached for easy access
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8429932
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/ZTE_OPEN_C
then follow the directions listed but to keep it simple for those of you whom dont want to look to far
Clean up the B2G directory, removing the unneeded directories:
rm -rf objdir-gecko/ out/ backup-flame/
Now configure Firefox OS with the following command: (Note that the path cannot contain spaces, otherwise it won't work).
./config.sh flame /PATH/TO/openc.xml
You can then build the Gecko component and Flash it to your phone using the following:
./build.sh gecko
./flash.sh gecko
You should now upgrade Gaia as well, so the upgraded version of Gecko works with the version of Gaia on the device:
cd gaia
make reset-gaia
and thats how i fixxed it unfortunatly like i said when i got to ./flash.sh the whole build it fails at user data
but once again pretty sure thats only me if anyone has information on this let me know please
all credit from this goes to mozilla i just decided to post it in an easy location for everyone who runs into this
thank you mozilla developers

[Q] Error compiling CM9 on Ubuntu 14.10

Following many of the excellent CM building guides on xda as well as CM's wiki, I was able to quite smoothly get my virtual Ubuntu to begin building ICS. However, after about 5 minutes of it happily churning out binaries, the build stops complaining about being unable to recognize out/host/linux-x86/obj/EXECUTABLES/mksnapshot_intermediates/src/builtins.o while compiling V8. I've googled around but have not been able to find this particular error; also given my limited understaning of the build system on Linux am unable to diagnose this rather cryptic situation.
I've tried removing the entire out/host/linux-x86/obj/EXECUTABLES/mksnapshot_intermediates/ folder as well as starting afresh (after make clean) but the error does not go away. From what I've grepped, the recipe for builtins.o is inside builtins.P but not sure if this is where something goes meh.
I'm attaching my current build log as well as the builtins.P file. Will be grateful for any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further.
EDIT: building for Galaxy S i9000, but to me this seems like a more general build error and hence posting here. If you think this thread belongs elsewhere, please do let me know.

Errors when try to compile anything....

Hello guys, i have a problem and really want to solve it because i am bored of errors and i want to compile roms/recovery and other
I have successfully set up build evinrovment and downloaded cm 12 sources.
I have downloaded from github and synced via terminal the kernel of device and the device files.
But, when i do the command . /build/envsetup.sh terminal not show me "you're building on linux".
Anyway, if i do: lunch aosp_e2303-userdebug, same as suggested in vendorsetup.sh file of the device folder, linux give me that:
Don't have a product spec for "xxx" (xxx is for indicate the codename of device)
But i have all folders in /cm12/device
How can i solve it? Please help me....
Did you download the vendor files? Iirc they are not on github, they are on Sony's developer website. They are called device binaries or something like this. The m4 aqua is not on the list, but if you download one of the latest for any device you'll have the files there
Thank you, later i will try with these files... Now my ubuntu (not know why) not boot.
