Is there or will be there a s5 Rom, Stock ROM/firmware or an AOSP for GT-I9506? - AOKP Q&A

Hi I XDA Q&A explorers.. Answerers!
Any info about an firmware/ROM of the new Galaxy s5 for the Galaxy s4 LTE+ (GT-I9506)?
The main thing are the new features of the s5
I think that this is an interesting question/theme for a lot of s4 users with the GT-I9506 version.
All the best
Hope I'm right over here

There is cyanogenmod 13 and 12.1 for gt-i9506. I personally have the 13 installed on my gt-i9506 and since its my primary device I care a lot about call quality and so far, to be honest, I'm impressed. It's so smooth and the ir sensor works. You can search cyanogenmod 13 for gt-i9506 and you'll get the forum with twrp recovery, cyanogenmod 12.1 and 13.

Exactly, galaxy s3 superior hardware in everyway to the nexus and seems like I'll have longer developer support and already great ROMs and kernels for both devices.

Will agree with everyone here, S3 is the superior phone in almost every way. Has touchwiz but you can easily replace your launcher or run a non-touchwiz ROM.

[Q] s3 LTE nexus edition's ROMs to be backward compatible on regular I9305?

During Google I/O, Google announced a Nexus-flavored I9305 that would run a pure unmodified version of JB 4.2.2 and come with an unlocked bootloader.
If all else about these I9305 are the same, would it be possible to just run this new Google-published 4.2.2 ROM on existing I9305? I've been trying to "un-Samsung" my I9305 since day one (big reason why I'm using CM-based custom ROMs now). Presumably this would make life easier for devs working on 4.2.2 custom ROMs?
I thought the announced was galaxy S4, the 9505 ?

Best/most supported smartphone.

Hi, I have a HTC One S. I can't complain about the phone but there aren't a lot official ROMs for this cellphone. On the new website of aokp isn't any ROM for the one s anymore, cyanogenmod has only cm10 stable and some 10.1 nightly and there is screen tearing, too. Or for example Ubuntu touch isn't avaible. Or a super nexus ROM. Or miui 5.
So my question is what is a good supported but also powerful smartphone?
Only Nexus devices get the most development support. Get a Nexus 4...
Sell it and equip yourselves with a nexus you won't start a thread like this again - for nexus something new pops up everyday
OK and any other devices? Maybe for people who are reading this thread and dont like nexus?

If you don't like nexus don't worry you will also able to use latest android resources.
But you need to search in google that how to make a own custom rom

The Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note II all have great developer support, the US market versions of these phones have even better developer support but the International versions are great too. The Xperia Z is another phone with great developer support as well. All of these devices have official Cyanogenmod support, and AOKP support (Except for the Galaxy S4 which at this moment doesn't have official AOKP) support.

Thank's but I'm a bit worried to make it myself. If it would be that simple why aren't there more roms ?

Its not simple but these days there are tutorials on compiling/debugging that makes life easier for newbies wanting to take first steps into aosp development
Bro making a rom is hard for us but not impossible.
You just need to learn how to port rom's from another device and how to modify your stock kernel to work properly in your custom rom.
Don't forget that the nexus/cm rom makers are also a human like us.
Try to search in Google.com

And it still runs games on high graphics with an ease.
This phone is a mid-range phone of Samsungs now,and mid-range phones are good(while the high-end ones are excellent).

Hello mates. I am a proud owner of a galaxy S3 LTE. Is anyone willing to give it a go on the i9305? Are there any news on this? I think the device would be more than capable of running it smoothly as does the S4.

I don't think, first Note 2 need to receive Lollipop and after this probably your dev's will starts to port the rom for your phone. But from S4 to S3 is impossible,is 2 different phone.

I don't think that's a good reason. There have been ports from other different models in the past. You always need to apply the proper drivers when you are porting from one phone to another so I guess the limitations will be the same whereas you are porting from the S4 (which to me makes more sense as performance wise the S3 LTE and S4 are similar) or the Note 2.

All models of S3 have the same chipset (Exynos 4412), it is not possible to port S4's lollipop to S3 since there is a difference between chipset (ram....etc doesn't matter)..... Other roms like a note 4 rom (for example) are based on a port from another device with the same chipset.....
Good News is Note 2 is going to get lollipop as Samsung Poland confirmed it, so S3 (i9300 and i9305) will get a touchwiz lollipop update:good:
