lol... I paid a little more for mine!
It is well done though. My *only* complaint is that I wish the access to the back buttons was a tad wider and beveled.
I do like the fact that they put a divider between the button array and the camera lens. I'm much less likely to miss and smudge it now.
lol at adding the word "Auto Focus" as if this makes it OEM or something.
Not a whole lot of bulk but really solid.

Only $3? That sounds too good to be true. Did your package come with a spigen card that allows you to verify the authenticity? Or is it a knock off from China?

Im just chuffed by the build quality for such a cheap product, but im just glad to finally have the lg g3 nice and covered especially round the bevels, thats where my old phone got most the damage when i dropped it.
Im also using this as well, its made for the note 3 but the extra size is quite nice. Manual labour job so i need all the protection i can get!

"AUTHENTICATE THE PRODUCT" That sounds like a poor translation of AUTHENTIC PRODUCT. I'm getting one from Amazon on Saturday, so if someone hasn't confirmed it's the same or not, I'll post back.

Oh, I totally agree with you!
Recently, I bought the Spigen case~ I'm satisfied with their slim profile and protection.

Spigen products usually come with a small card like this. It has a serial number on it.

I bought my case directly from Spigen and it says the same thing
"AUTHENTICATE THE PRODUCT"
Of course if you actually had a case you would know that.
This is actually a fantastic deal and the only reason why its discounted is because it has a hole cut out for the antenna for the Korean version of the g3
I ended up buying several colors so all I gotta change the hard shell to switch up colors.
great find OP

I've bought Spigen knock offs from Aliexpress and while decent cases, they offer no where near the fit and finish of the genuine Spigens. For the money, they are a good buy though. Expect 2-3 weeks to arrive.

Will the hard shell fit over an original Spigen silicone inner layer?

I bought one from Aliexpress for my old S4 Mini, and not even being original, has a very good quality. Can be used with no problems. I'm buying now another one for my G3.

I've bought a couple of theese for my Galaxy S4 and now my G3. The quality varies. I've noticed that if the debossed Spigen Logo on the back is laser sharp, then it's a good knock-off, probably made in the same fabric after hours, and no post production made afterwards. I.e some edges are left from the making of the rubber and plastic case with can feel sharp and so on.
I got a few bad knock offs for my Galaxy S4 where it looked like they had applied the color afterwards, making the logo debossing edges soft, and not laser sharp. If you want good quality, buy the ones that says retail packaging, they cost a little more, but def worth it.
But as always, if you like the product, buy the original. I bought a few originals for my S4 since I was so satisfied with the knock-offs.

Just to confirm to people, the ali spigen cases are fake BUT they are still good quality. I have one for my G3 and my Note 3. The packaging it comes kind of gives it away.:good:

[Review] Alternative Folio Case for TF

Quick Review...yes its copied from the other thread that I posted in. But I figure plagiarizing my own stuff is ok. Plus, there are pictures now!
Material: Definitely not real leather. Is PU Leather but doesn't feel "cheap" in the hand either! Inside of the case is a velvety "soft" material...I guess a cloth version of suede is the best way to describe it. (Definitely not Alcantara like the stuff I have in the bucket seats of my car.)
Workmanship: Can't complain here either surprisingly! I was expecting it to be well, just ok....but the stitching is straight and even, uniform distance from the edges (yeah I'm sure there are tenths of mm variations but...nothing distracting.) Holes for camera, proximity sensors, buttons, etc. are PERFECTLY aligned when the TF is properly inserted.
Closure: Magnetic...decent snap to it. There's magnets on BOTH ends of the case so it is quite secure.
Holding Mechanism: One of the weaknesses of this case. It has a flap that is on the landscape edge facing into the spine of folio case. Should have put a magnet or two in there to keep the flap more securely closed. Or Velcro. I think I'm going to add some velcro there myself. On the other hand, I think it is far better to have the flap on this side than along one of the portrait edges of the Tablet.
Stand angles: 2 actually, one inverted "low position" suitable for typing. One high angle for casual viewing I guess.
Conclusion: 1 thumb up--not two--because of the ridiculous pricing on these cases, $28 including shipping. Seriously, these things can't cost more than $5 in China where they are made.

Looks like there's a cutout in the tuck in flap but no cutout on the main cover. My guess is you can charge the transformer while in the case but that the cover has to be open.
Where did you get it? Was this one of the generic eBay ones?
I just got this case today (took about two weeks to arrive), and I'm thoroughly satisfied. It has holds for everything, even the Micro SD slot. Most importantly, the Transformer feels protected.
I just received mine today. I bought the brown version. It fits OK but overall the case is not of the highest of quality for instance there is a finger size mark on the front of the case. Can't help thinking in a couple of weeks the transformer will be slipping inside of the casehousing.
The listing on eBay said leather and I am going to complain and request a partial refund because it is definately not leather being some kind of ruberised finish and a joke of an attempt to show leather grain. I feel like I have been mislead....

Why are there so many people trolling the "FolioGuard" case in everyone else's threads? WTF? People KNOW there's the FolioGuard case. The point is THIS ISN'T THE FOLIOGUARD CASE AND IS A REVIEW OF A DIFFERENT CASE.
SoCalTiger, I got this one from eBay. Here is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123#ht_5978wt_1018
I'm beginning to wonder whether this one IS genuine leather and NOT PU leather at all. I've "aired" it a good number of days and it STILL smells/feels like leather. The patterned marks don't seem to be pressed/printed into the case at all. There's a few other tests I can "run" to see if its real leather or not (including the "match" test, but I don't really want to ruin the case either).
Thanks!

Can you send/post the link for the one you ordered that you are not happy with? There DEFINITELY was NO option for "another color material" for this case. Just the variation in stitching color.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Asus-Eee-Pad-...I&otn=3&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=419235527009776241
3 different colours. Think I saw your link to the seller originally or you posted on the same thread I was reading. They were selling different colours under another listing. Anyway from the pictures you posted it is identical to mine... I think the ebay listing is misleading regarding the material.
Are you sure it isn't leather? I haven't tried the melt vs. scorch test on it yet so I'm not 100% sure. It feels like a really thin layer of leather over a harder backing...

100% certain its not leather. Got a reply from the the seller saying it is pv leather (I understand this to be a man made material and will never have been anywhere near a cow) which is fine but they should state this al the way through the listing. I have asked them to amend the listing and requested a part refund. If not I will report them to eBay and see what think
I am sure most people would be happy with the case and i agree with your review it does a reasonable job of proteting the Asus. The stitching is good but there is a small defect on the front of my case which
i like this case, might have to get one
well I am happy with the case seeing as i have just received a full refund. I do not need to return it either. So feels like a bargain now! Just shows you it is worth complaining. I hope they amend the listing to make it clear this is not leather for other people.

My case arrived this weekend, but I guess I don't need to do a review either.
It's definitely a decent case for an alright price. Build seems good and does the job perfectly.
No complaints really.
Anybody know if this is the same case? http://electroniccrap.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_36&products_id=51

Thinnest Case?

Alright so, I'm the type of person who never puts cases on their phones..
The least I would ever do would be an zagg shield.
Though, with the evo 3D I'm sorta feeling a case now.
I'm looking for a really... really thin case.
My friend has the infuse on at&t and she has a really thin case.
It feels almost metal..and only covers the back and the sides.
But it as almost no bulk to the phone..
Anything similar to that for the evo 3d?
thanks!
heres what i bought:

there is also the casemate but its cost more money for almost the same product:

How do you like it?
I personally wouldnt recommend them as they provide no protection at all if you drop the phone face down or it lands on the corner edge. I would go with a TPU case if you need something that is thin, as they wrap around the edges and protect the phone better. I'm not just saying this because I own TPU-Cases either Buy them from whoever you want.. just my opinion of course.
I have the matte back black case from tpu-cases.com and highly recommend them:
http://tpu-cases.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7&sort=20a&page=1
it's thin, fits perfectly, aesthetically looks great, free fast shipping (they are a U.S. seller so there's no wait time unlike the overseas stuff) with email confirmation, all at a great price. Their current line up have the camera holes lined up and as it's raised, there is protection for the 3D's dual cameras when you lay it flat on a table. The shutter and volume buttons are covered but access is not a problem for me.
Hope this helps.
I have a smoke argyle TPU already. I bought it since I got the phone 3 days before release and an Otterbox wasn't out yet. Once rooting my phone I realized how much I loved how thin it was.
i just bought this one i thought it looked really cool and it cheap so if i dont like it no big loss http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Metal-Case-Cover-HTC-EVO-3D-Sprint-H153-/320721844909?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4aac82faad
I bought this one and really like it. It fits very tightly and looks really nice in person. It snaps together securely and if I have any complaints, this tight and secure fit is it. I had to take it off once to do a battery pull and I thought I was going to destroy it getting it off. If you like to frequently swap out spare batteries, this is probably not the case for you. Other than that, I can't find any faults with it.

i like the case alot, fits perfect. It adds no bulk at all which is what i wanted cause i also never used a case on my previous phone just the Zagg shield, i have full zagg on along with this case so the tops and bottom where the case does not cover is still protected. Also i have a tpu case and the otterbox commuter, i use each depending on the kind of things i do that day.
I'm with you, I've never used a case and I always used to bad mouth people who made their brand new phone ugly as **** buy putting a case on it. Hell, I even got my roommate to go naked with his Droid X.
BUT, I dropped my new baby Evo3D a few times already and since I'm no longer rich, I thought, I'd put a case on it. Got one of these bad boys from ebay, $2.19 shipped
The fit is perfect and it doesn't look bad either. Adds minimal thickness. I also ordered a ballistic case just to try it out...we'll see though. I don't want the phone to look like a brick

I had that case also and agree, very nice and doesn't add much bulk at all. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, getting it off the phone is ridiculously difficult IMO. Also, I didn't like the fact that instead of having smaller, precise cutouts for just the camera lenses and the flash, it had one giant cutout in the back for the entire camera module (leaves the area more susceptible to scratches IMO). So I returned it and got a case from tpu-cases.com. Different material but adds about the same amount of neglible bulk to the phone. More importantly for me though, it doesn't have the one giant cutout in the back but rather, instead, has smaller cutouts just for the two camera lenses, flash, and speaker.
how about this? htc official case
http://store.androidcentral.com/htc-tatami-hard-shell-case/4A123A8759.htm
I think the case mate barely there is the thinnest case out there. I got a couple of copycat cases from here:
Case-Mate barely there copycat
Another Case-Mate barely there copycat
I bought both of them in black. They turned out to be identical. Both are the same thinness and have the soft touch paint in the back. Now I got 2 of them.... and can only use one..... pushing my wife to get an EVO 3D as well when her contract is up in Nov.
I have a case like the CaseMate Barely There on my 4th Gen IPod Touch and love it. For my 3D, u have all 3 Otterbox cases and use them for different activities.

There doesn't appear to be any cutout, from the picture, so unless these are amazingly thin (which would make them somewhat useless for protection), I don't think they'll work with the dock.
But if they're easy to remove and put back on, they'd be suitable to use when the TP is out of the dock.
Has anyone ordered one of these? Just worry 'bout the quality and fit.
I wonder if they protect enough for a fall, has anyone tried this product?
I would actually like to know how is the fit with the prime, i think with such a big skin the long bezel sides won't be well adjusted to the Prime and might be too loose.
Found them in Amazon Germany, but no reviews yet :/

No. Based on the images of the green-colored case on Minisuit's site it's obvious that the TPU is too thick to fit into the dock. This being the case, I would have preferred that they fully cover the 'lock-in' slots on either side of the power connector, so they don't fill up with dust.
It seems like Minisuit had some engineer design it who didn't know what all the holes where for. BUT I'll stop complaining. A silicone case for $7 (shipping included) is great!

It is kind of remarkable that a company would go to the trouble of manufacturing these, but NOT bother to even see what the ports and opening actually do, to intelligently decide whether or not they need a cut-out?!?
Sheesh.

These appear to be the exact same skins just in a different color, which means that the center of the back is likely to be a little bit loose, just like with the black cases.
Mine shipped today, estimated arrival of 5/8. I'll keep ya posted.
Blah
It definitely feels like the same case, however this new one I got seems to fit a little better at the back, with less sag. I'm not sure if it was just a manufacturing difference or what. This case still has the same flimsy feel around the bezel.
My suggestion is to keep looking for another thin silicone case, if you want to give this one a shot it might be worth the 8 bucks though. I'm leaving this minisuit one one for now vs the other one I got off ebay.
Still in the market for a thin non-leather silicone type case. If anyone has seen the HP branded case for the Touchpad, that would be a near perfect case imo, with a magnetic closing mechanism or something.
Edit: After a day or so of use with the minisuit case, I feel like it is basically as good as this skin type case can get without a major overhaul. The back isn't sagging like the original one from ebay did, however the edges are still could be a little tighter (This is where the redesign would come in,) but overall its pretty good. I'm still interested in a slightly thicker version of this, it still doesn't add much protection.
For those interested, a company, BobJ Gear, is coming out soon with a very nice, silicone case for the Transformer Prime.
He's already made cases for the Toshiba Thrive, which gets rave reviews on Amazon, where they are sold.
I was lucky enough to receive one of his prototypes.
This is a tight fitting case, made from food grade silicone, very thick to provide excellent protection! Access to all ports are available. One of the photos below shows you a comparison between the cases soon to be released by BobJ Gear (shown in purple) and the case discussed earlier in this thread (the green case, on top). You'll see there's a noticeable difference in the thickness of the case, and the amount of silicone used to make the case.
This adds a little bit of weight, but provides great protection for the Transformer Prime! Case will also work for the T300, and he's planning to release a case for the T700 down the road!
These should be available end of this month.

Yes the case is thick enough at the usb port to stand it upright.
Last pic is beside my 2012 Nexus 7 in a seidio active case. HUGEMONGOUS!!
Brief first impressions which is likely all there will be cause I cant ever see myself using this beast. Shame too but it is what it is...
Long story short... I would trust my phone in this thing if you threw it in a wood chipper. It would probably break the chipper. Matte black metal outside most of it. Thick thick thick black rubber interior to provide shock absorption and 'some' waterproofing. Cant say that I would trust this to be mostly waterproof cause the camera, fingerprint sensor (really?) and top speaker are open to the air. *Maybe it can be waterproof with those parts open but I cant say I would trust it. Mostly everything else is covered above and beyond. Heavy. Huge. Heavy.
Cant really see in the pics but had 2 bars of verizon 4G when out of the case and in the case it had...... 2 bars. Wifi had all bars in and out of case. So it surprisingly doesn't appear to block any signal.
I have a tempered glass protector on this One Max and it seemed to accept most of my touchscreen input without problem. I wont say it wasnt missing a bit of touch input here and there but overall a good experience.
Let me know in thread if tou have any more questions. Pics were taken with one of my new Verizon G3's so you know where my time will be spent.
I'd love to hear from someone that ha one of these. Maybe some pictures?
Sure thing. When it gets here Im going to test it out pretty well before I trust my phone in it.
That is if it gets here before I make the decision to move to the G3...

I saw the same case on eBay aswell. Was debating whether to get it. But it's a full metal case I'm just worried about it blocking signal on network and GPS? And the g3 does look sooo nice I really want 1 do but cant haha
Yeah just ordered one myself can't never have too many cases, the only thing I don't like about it just from the pic is the "Love Mei" writing on it other then that it looks pretty bad ass!!!
Yeah the writing is abit off putting by looks of it I will get one ordered pay day.
Any one received the case can you let me know what it is like before I buy 1 thanks
Right ok time to order my case/s what do people suggest then either the love mei in white or a skin (not sure on colour yet) with a gold aluminum bumper.
I ordered the last picture I'll post pic's of it when it comes in

Like a friggin' tank!
F*** that looks huge. Only problem I've ever had with a full metal case before has been the GPS drops signal etc. Did you try that? And check you out lucky bugger I would love to have the g3 let alone g3 and HTC max lol
Holy shizz that is 3 x as big as the Otterbox defender I got now
Got mine today will post pictures. first thing I noticed is can't put headphone plug into the hole which is very annoying as I use it every day
@Jiggity Janx did you say you had a tempered glass protector on your screen already as I do aswell and trying to put the front case over it makes like glass scrape each other and you can hear it....
God sake took the tampered screen protector off and put a standard protective film on it. It's making pressed smear marks where fitted screen protector is pushing up against protective film and phone screen did you get this? Thanks

Pros: It feels amazing in the hand. I have had many so-called genuine leather cases for my Phones over the years, including the BookBook by twelve south which was my all time favorite. I would have ordered another from them except they only make cases for iphone . Boy am I glad they weren't.
It allowed me to find this phenomenal case which is superior to the BookBook in every way. This one is softer and more supple. It feels more like an artist sketchbook, the leather is that nice.
It does NOT have the unfortunate potential of the spine turning white with wear that the BookBook has. (The spine is all natural leather)
It has quality stitching and the interior hard rubber case that cradles the my galaxy S8 is a perfect blend of protection and flexibility.
The credit card slots are generous in size. It is not difficult to put in or remove the cards like on other cases. I currently have 3 cards in it and it closes okay.
Props up-
It is also a stand so I can watch movies on my phone , . It is already broken in- the leather is nice and soft- so it works perfectly.
Calling and use: The leather folds over nice and flat.
SUMMARY
The* Leather Wallet comes in 3 colors, *The leather and stitching make for a nice contrasting look . *If you’ve been thinking about combing your wallet and cell phone into one ,the Italian Cowhide Leather Wallet for galaxy S8 is worth your attention.
PROS: *Luxurious. *Three credit card slots. *Slim, built in stand
CONS: *no strap

Just got my black one to match my black S8+! I haven't had a real leather case on any of my phones yet, but I was excited to give this one a try. Can't find a better price for an actual leather case.
Oh man, I just wrote a review on this one. I LOVE THIS CASE SO FAR.

Great. I just ordered the black one...will get it Sunday. Thanks OP for the 40% off code!!
This looks like an awesome deal. I had a similar pleather case for my S4, and having the card slot is useful for me. Glad to have found this!

Sorry to disappoint -- I actually went with the Spigen Neo Hybrid due to the slimmer fit and price. I couldn't justify this case, especially since I was a bit anxious about the lack of a magnetic snap to close the case.

Spigen does make great products.
This maybe good practical case, but IMO this is one ugly case. I would never consider this for my S8.
