[Q] Any way to get rid of annoying popup notification? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi peeps,
I have an Alps 9901 with Android 4.4.2 based on a MTK 6592
I am using dual sims (only 1 with data connection) and every few seconds I get a popup message on screen saying ' Sim1 Data connection enabled'
It's obviously losing wifi and switching over to 3G data connection or perhaps losing connection and re-establishing it but this message keeps appearing every few seconds...it is so annoying!
Is there a way to disable this popup notification from appearing?
Thanks in advance

Possibly. If you can root your device, you can install the Xposed framework and there are modules that can disable toast notifications. If what I just said makes no sense to you, then you've got a lot of reading to do.

Ok i got it..It used to happen long back with my network provider in India..when i had a Nokia N95.Now,the sad point is you cannot do anything.. Its totally network dependent.. And that notification must be a toast notification right???Or does it cover up the screen?
Jepp i can't do anything, is network depending, only provider can disable it...BUT i need the notification!
I just want to get rid of the popping up message and tone.
It's not covering my screen, is a litle window and popping up for 1-2 sec but mor anoing i´s the ton.

Lost Data Connection Notification When Roaming

I was in England the last 2 days,i was just using wi-fi when there but it constantly gave a notification that there was no data connection in the notification bar, i unticked use packet data and obviously i didn't have data roaming selected but the notification would always reappear even after clearing it, not a big deal but does anyone know how this notification kept showing and can i prevent it from happening again?
no one know about this?
I've exactly the same problem. I was told to just keep the packet data and roaming box ticked. But to me that just seems silly. It has to be a bug as the s2 didn't have this problem.

[Q] T328W - Remove Notification "Data roaming you have lost connectivity..."

[Q] T328W - Remove Notification "Data roaming you have lost connectivity..."
I find this might be just nature of T328W to have this notification.
However, it would be nice to have the way to prevent it to come up
I'm using two sims for two countries so one sim is always on Roaming.
The software version is 1.71.1402.1
Thanks.
Settings/ Mobile Network untick Data roaming sound.
Doing this on mine stops the sound and the message.

Samsung Galaxy S 5 text messaging solution!

I don't know who else has been having this issue, but there are times where I would not be able to send or receive text messages until I restarted my phone. I finally narrowed it down to the main culprit, which is "Smart Network Switch" under the "Wifi" settings. The problem occurs if you are actively connected to wifi and you turn the screen off. Your GS5 is in sleep mode now but still has wifi connected. When the "Smart Network Switch" is off there is no problem, but when it is on it prevents text messages, phone calls and MMS. It happens either the phone is charging or not charging.
What I found to be the fix is to disable the "Smart Network Switch" option, then turn off wifi and go on the internet and load any web page. This usually would kick start the text messages to be sent to my phone. Once you disable the smart switch, you can keep wifi on all the time and you will not have any problems with texts, MMS or calls.
tl;dr
DISABLE SMART NETWORK SWITCH = WORKING TEXT MESSAGES!!!!
Please let me know if this fix works, thanks.
Useless feature IMO, I kept it off since first time I set up my device.
Always had mine off, always had text issues.
I'll try this !

WiFi calling is the culprit with text messages not reaching the phone. sends okay but until I turn WiFi calling off, I get no text messages with the latest nf6 upgrade.

Annoying Data Popup Message

Hey everybody,
Does anyone know how to disable annoying popup messages related to Mobil Data while connected to WIFI? Here's the background; I used to be with Verizon and was one of the treasured unlimited data participants until they recently decided to once again screw their most loyal customers with increases on costs. I left VZW and went to Straight Talk utilizing the 4G LTE Verizon network. Before under VZW, I don't remember my wife's phone showing a message that she could not browse the internet, send email, etc, unless connected to data with the exception of using WIFI. Well since switching over to ST, I've created Tasker Profiles which simulate Juice Defender and turn off mobile data as soon as it is connected to our home WIFI. About every two minutes it popups a messages saying the following:
Title Splash:
Mobile data
Message Content:
Unless you use WI-FI, you will no linger be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection.
Turn off the mobile data connection?
I've attached a screenshot of the message.
How can I disable to popup? I'm sure there's a way to do if someone can point me in the right direction.... Thanks
I should also clarify that the popup returns regardless if you select Okay or Cancel. I even enable Data and still returns.
I found this thread which apparently the issue seems to be related to apps that turn off data or turn it on using automation.
