[Development state][Needs another Dev]TWRP for Duos Variant N7502 - Galaxy Note 3 Neo General

Hi all, this thread is only for the sole purpose of porting TWRP on the duos variant n7502
I've seeked help for a month now and found a dev to make one, however, I think he's given up on the project but published the tree to github.
The project was first meant to port CWM but we had problems we cant solve so we shifted to TWRP, the first problem's gone but another two came.
Here's the github link:
https://github.com/OUDhs/android_device_samsung_hl3gds
Here's a log for the TWRP:
http://d-h.st/9yq
and Here's a screenshot of the TWRP:

additional info:
The TWRP boots up but the screen is messed up (as shown on the screenshot); Touchscreen works fine, I can navigate through the recovery but since the screen is messed up, I have no clue as to where I was going. The first problem we had was we can't mount any partition. Shifting to TWRP solved that but the /cache still can't be mounted.
We badly need a dev. Hope someone takes over.

Moto e hangs and Recovery not working

I don't know its a virus or what but suddenly my phone was not responding. I had a doubt that it was a virus so I decided to wipe everything but my recovery also stopped working.
How can I solve this ?
What ROM are you using?I suggest flashing a new ROM This time wipe everything except SDcard if it fails then wipe SDcard too.
nothing is working :/ i tried adb and tried to mount the system but it is failing. tried to wipe through twrp nothing working.
update twrp to 3.0.0 but still same
Now I have done "fastboot erase system" now my os is not starting and i am unable to flash another through adb
Please Any suggestion ?
anyone ?
if u erased system partition then os wont start as u have erased os files. Now the best thing to do is wipe all partitions from twrp. download a new custom rom and flash it through twrp. if u were using stock rom and want it u may get that from forums too. if u have a working nandroid backup ( which i feel u dont have) of previous rom u may try that
i can't format or wipe or do anything from my twrp.
EDIT: you can see it in the video

HOW TO ROOT - ZTE Nubia M2 Lite (NX573J) ?

hi all,
need help with rooting my ZTE Nubia M2 Lite.
I found only two guides ( in foreign languages links below) that didn't work for me ( it's always stuck in the boot, step number 8 in guid 1).
and one general guide here, that lead to dead end
also tried "KingRoot" didn't help.
PS - I updated the phone when I received it you can see the version in the picture, couldn't get it back to the initial version by factory reset (I thought that maybe was the reason for the failed attempts).
any ideas please?
1) guid 1 that didn't work for me
2)guid 2 that didn't work for me
Thanks!

Root ZTE Nubia M2 Lite (NX573J)
I managed to root my Nubia M2 Lite (NX573J) using guide from this website https : // geekaxe.com/root-nubia-m2-lite-simply-using-flasher-tool/ . Please copy paste the url because xda prevent us to give any link (spam protection).

This thread worked like a charm. Just make sure that you install ADB properly. You may have to ensure that the ADB drivers for your M2 are installed in Device Manager. I had to do this twice, once for the System and once for the Recovery before it worked right.
Hi, its my first time to do this.. and after many different readings, i have twrp installed and installed magisk.zip on my nx573j... but every time i reboot or power on, just get a cycle of the nubio logo with orange state blah blah blah... why won't it boot up to my screen? what step or more I should do? I really just wanted to root my phone so i could ext4 the sd card. any one can help me? thank you!

[WIP][TWRP] porting for Galaxy Ace 4 Neo SM-G316ML

I'm attempting to port TWRP to the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Neo SM-G316ML (vivalto3mve3gltn) device. As of now I've got successful builds, but non-functional images (they brick the device).
The (experimental) device tree is hosted here, and is configured to build TWRP as its recovery (my plan is to also use it to build LOS 14.1, but after building TWRP).
I'm somewhat new to the Android devel. However, I've learned a lot, I'm familiarized with the AOSP/LOS source code, I use GNU/Linux as my main OS since some years ago and my skills are good enough to deal with this. The only problem is that, as this is my first time in porting a recovery to an unsupported device, I'd like some help. Anyone with knowledge and willing to help me in this project is welcome, just leave a comment so we can discuss how to manage this, like the access to the repository or pull requests, etc.
For the more-technical discussion about the porting, please do in this issue from the repository.

Use the file before latest one
yes that I use, I wanted to install that new one to see if this was the beginning of the update of lineageOs 15.0 android 8, because it tries with the previous twrp and it does not happen of the blue screen, I hope soon it finds an update to install android 8 and this time if start Thank you!
Hello,
I have a new moto E4 plus XT1773 variant with android 7.1.1 security patch from august 2018 and i am a bit confused with all these post about you need a special TWRP for your variant. My question is, will twrp-3.2.3-1-nicklaus.img work for my device?
I understand, the first step i need to do is unlock the bootloader and then flash the twrp-3.2.3-1-nicklaus.img file right? i won't need the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip or a patched boot image in order to a successful install?
I am trying to do all these things just to root it. Kinda difficult! i guess... I'd wish kingroot work!
Thanks in advance!
Regards.

MI A3 question concerning TWRP

Hello
I am complete new to the "custom ROM for mobile phones" business.
But i am familiar with Linux based Satellite Receivers where you
also can flash custom ROMS to enhance the functionality.
Or in other words - i know what bricked means.
Anyway what i have done so far:
I have an unlocked Bootloader on my Mi A3.
1st time (non permanent) flash of TWRP-3.3.1-2 into recovery for
a full backup of my phone to Sd-Card.
An encounter with Bootloop made
Now i want to make TWRP permament on both partitions.
But, after flashing TWRP into recovery again, i recognizing that
the "Unmodified System Partition" screen is not apearing anymore.
After my 1st twrp flash, twrp showed me a screen where something
about "Keep System Read only" was explained.
With a slider "Swipe to Allow Modifications".
This screen is not more apearing anymore.
Is this mandatory to go on ?
My goal is to have twrp, magisk and lineageos on my phone.
Last but not least i want to say:
A fantastic source of informations here but overwhelming btw. *g*
* Edit *
32 Views but no answers this could mean that my concern is not clear ?
After entering to twrp on my phone for the first time i saw this screen here
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As i explained above, i only wanted to make a backup from my phone
as a fallback if something goes wrong afterwards.
Due to this i pressed ´Keep Read Only´
Don´t know if the ´Never show this...´ was flaged
My thoughts was:
Keep Read Only is okay for now/backup.
And if necessary i can Swipe for modification next time.
My concern is the screen will not showing again.
In case of i HAVE to swipe to make modifications for the next steps,
what i have to do now that this screen will show up again
that i can make the f*ckn swipe ? :angel:
Thank you
Open twrp, goto mount, there's an option for mount read-only system.
