First post, longtime lurker. I hope I picked the right forum sub-section for my inquiry.
I would like to add inductive charging to my VM HTC Desire 601 (Zara_CL). May I ask for recommendations for doing this modification? Ideally, I would like to simply replace the back cover on the phone. I haven't found a QI back cover for the Zara model. Maybe my searches have not been constructed correctly.

Search around xda, there had been mods for a lot of other phones before, you won't find a zara back plate with qi already, you'll have to make your own.
Just want to let you know that the current back plate on the Zara CL is where the NFC chip resides.
You mess with that and no more NFC

I don't think it will work well with the tilt 2 because you need to have a smooth back to the phone, and the speaker on the tilt 2 would likely prevent a good seal. Also, it doesn't appear to swivel for landscape viewing, which is a major drawback.
Anyone find something else that swivels but holds the phone so that the keyboard can come out?
Can only find it in the UK. Have posted several requests for shipping to the US. I'll let ya'll know when I hear something.

OK, I just got the Dash Genie from Superetrader.com and so far my wife and I really like it! I will probably have to order another one just for her (even though she didn't want one at first, I think she plans on taking mine over!!!!!)
If any one was thinking about getting one, DO! I think the ones offered in the states are too bulky and ugly, but this is one sllek model. You'll like it, too (in my opinion!).

So my touch screen stopped working and im figuring its the digitizer because everything else works, boots into OS and everything. Plus i took it apart and the wire was snapped . question is, i have the optimus v but i cannot find ANYWHERE that has a digitizer specific for it. I have found one for the optimus s on ebay, which looks exactly the same, same button holes and everything. will this digitizer work for the optimus v? thanks in advance, this sucks as i do not have a replacement and am broke as a joke at the moment. would be nice just to buy a $22 digitizer instead of a $150 phone. thanks!
an ebay search turned up a variety of optimus parts for a variety of models, I'd say keep an eye on it as their stuff changes daily. LG might be an option for parts, too...
can't answer your hardware compatibility question, I'm afraid, except that the software is compatible and I'd guess that the hardware is also the same way.

Thanks. i ordered the optimus s digitizer off ebay, finally got my ebay account verified so i could buy it now. jesus it took forever . but if u actually open ur optimus v it says on the main board LS 670 which is the model number for the optimus s. so the v is the s with different branding on the front. how funny haha. The part should get here within a week im hoping, shipping from hong kong. ill update the thread accordingly cause im sure im not the ONLY ONE that this has happened to. globaldirectparts.com is the only other place ive found a digitizer specific for the optimus s/v and there site is down due to major shipping delays. this should work tho, ill just have sprint branding on my OV from now on. Im gonna give that LED customization a try on my old front housing to see how it looks then if its nice ill do it on the new one, or maybe not haha it was a frickin hassle to get this new digitizer, i dont wanna do anything to jeopardize the function of the new display. thanks again for the one and only response in days . look forwarding to sharing the good news

I was pretty sure they're the same thing, people on another forum have talked about using lg's updater to flash sprint firmware and only broke their service instead of bricking the phone.
makes me wanna dissect the newest sprint firmware and compare.

Hey guys. I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, but I figure most, or almost all Evo 3D users view general more than anywhere else. Basically, I'm just looking to buy a 4000mah Extended Battery off somebody that lives in the NYC area. I can't buy it online. And I rather buy it in person. Usually I would head to Mobile City, but they don't have it in stock anymore. If you are selling one, or know anyone that is selling one, I'd appreciate it.

I found a 3d printed hard cover case for the zenwatch 2 49mm and 45mm, i cant list it here because the forums refuse to let me post links..... but anyway, i cant find the actual schematic, my local public library has both a reprap and a makerbot so i can easily just make my own case.
anyone have any luck finding the schematic for this case? or any other 3D printed accessory?

Also I believe this was for the original zenwatch, not sure if it fit the 2 (if its the same one). I liked the idea of a rugged case for this watch so my search continues.

it was the zenwatch 2, both by his say and the pictures confirmed, i wish i could just link it.... in the picture the watch has the zenwatch2 side button which is the main dead giveaway.

was the link to the first zenwatch, yours must be different? he has a post on reddit where he talks about making it (no good details) and how's he's not giving out the schematics for it since he's selling it. i don't see one for the 2 anywhere with a quick google search. can you pm me the link?
