yeah thats the case ......
if you read samsungs official things they haven't mentioned anything which cnet is saying...
if they upgrade only 2 phones then i see they will loose number 1 spot in 2012 which they gained in 2011....as most of owners would go crazy on upgrades
Samsung Electronics plan to provide the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for GALAXY devices. The platform update for GALAXY S II and GALAXY Note will start in the first quarter 2012, and other GALAXY devices will soon follow
The ICS-upgradable devices are the GALAXY S II, GALAXY S II LTE, GALAXY Note, GALAXY R, GALAXY Tab 10.1, GALAXY Tab 8.9, GALAXY Tab 7.7, and GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus
For upgradable models, Samsung will make separate announcements on details of OS updates schedule for each market according to market situation and carriers’ requirements.

From what i understand it's not still up in the air. S2 and note will be the first to be upgraded but the whole list of phones to be upgraded is this one:: the Galaxy R, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Galaxy Tab 8.9, the Galaxy Tab 7.7, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (the dual-core variant of the 7.0) and the Galaxy S2 LTE
To be honest i was not hoping for an official update for the ace but it's weird that galaxy s, galaxy s plus and w won't get an update
hello all i have heard about that and also have read some topics that samsung is rolling out android 4.1 jellybean for 15 android phones and i see here samsung galaxy s duos and bad news is that is has not arrived yet to mobiles anyone knows when samsung will announce 4.1 for s duos?

According to a leaked picture from Sammobile, Samsung is testing 4.4 on a variety of mid range and low range phones...the picture shows a part of the list, and we can see the names of devices like S4 mini, S3 mini, Ace 2, Ace 3, Galaxy Core and even Galaxy Fame and the ancient S Advance...since several devices with lower specs than our device are on the list, we can hope that the Grand Quattro is also there...thus if all goes well we could get 4.4 by October-November 2014...

Oct-Nov was the worst case scenario...S3, Note 2 will get 4.4 in March April...so we wont get anything before June-July

24.80 mb update fixed the bugs but no lollipop for grand 2
Guys 24.80 mb update was a clever update by samsung as they were planning for big os upgrade for this device but due to huge number of devices releasing every year, hence they were unable to provide the upgrade and just sorted the bugs with this minor update. I bought the Samsung Tab S2 but heared that Samsung was expected to release the Samsung Tab S3 on IFA 2016. The Samsung announcement is over but I can´t find any information about the Samsung Tab S3? Was it not released? Is there any new information about it?
I'm waiting too, have a tab s 10.5 that I love but time for an upgrade.
Samsung haven't exactly been forthcoming on this unless the note 7 battery problem has hit more than just the note 7...
