If you want everything to work, use the stock rom.. You can debloat the stock rom now that you have root. You can use xposed and Gravity Box for Jelly Bean to get most of the nifty stuff in the custom roms. There are things in these Motorola phones that are going to be problematic because the source code for the various hardware drivers has not been released by Moto and the devs of the custom roms have to work around that lack of info.

I actually like the stock ROM but I need to go back to an older version of safe strap cause my hotspot don't worm and I heard newest safe strap was the Culprit

TXT message limit

I've just realised that there is a 3 message limit before it changes to multimedia.
I wanted to know if there was a way to remove this limit.
NOTE: I know you can dl other messaging app but the stock is good enough for me.

You can go to pulsars rom which has this fix for the stock app. Haven't seen it come up as a seperate thing. You don't tend to see too much work on things like the texting. I always asumed it was because there was little interest in working on something that is already available in several feature rich and well hashed out apps. I was kinda hoping for some tweaks for touch wiz but wonder if there will ever be much happening there for the same reason.
Yeah as krabman said, flash VillainRom 1.1 and install VillainTweaks works like a charm =)
Handcent SMS do the job, too... On stock rom ;-)

Well, nobody ever mentions things like this needing done.
Luckily someone told me about the 10 recipient, 3 SMS limit, so both these are removed if you flash VillainROM 1.1, and then use VRTweaks to take the MMS app fix
Ahem, I did sorta mention in your rom thread that if you were interested in adding a few basic tweaks to TW such as rows and columns it would find an audience with at least one poster. Assuming it wasn't too much work of course. lol
Good, well I have the same problem! 've walked a few things to try! and the exprimentei Handcend, but I do not detect all the contacts! someone already got the solution!?
greetings
Most ROMs should now carry this mod. Install CheckROM v6 and download it from the Kitchen app.

[Q] Question About Verizon Samsung Fascinate

Hi guys..
Sorry for wasting your time again..
Got a few question, jsut flashed my phone to gingerbread stock verizon..
I would actually want to ask what can i do to my phone after i root it?. i mean what will be the changes, cause i really can't understand the advantages of being rooted. they said there will be more options.
but what are those option?.. you mean i can download more apps in android market?.. am i right?..
also i have a question about the place where can we download full version apps games, i was informed about blackmart.. is that safe?..
also about the droidwall, someone told me if i rooted my phone, i can get that, and it seems to be very usefull to what she said..
Thankyou for responding to my question.
appreciate it so much..
also wants to confirm if verizon fascinate really doesn't have front camera cause im having hard time using the yahoo messenger video call only black screen
More Power Guys!!!
Rooting gives you the ability to modify your file systems, install custom roms, as well as apps that could not normally be installed on your phone. There is no front facing camera on your phone. You really need to ditch the gingerbread you ate using noe and follow the guide to get any of the android 4.0 roms that are on the site. You will understand why rooting is so nice when you are able to use one of those roms. You can install droidwall once you are rooted. If you are looking for free apps on the internet other than the play market, try using Google, it really works.

Rooting will allow you to do more to and with your phone than was intended. First and foremost for me it was being able to remove Verizon bloatware. You can install Custom Roms either Gingerbread or ICS, make tweaks to the phone that will make it run more effective and efficient. Either way, if you are going to root, the next thing you should learn about is making a Nandroid backup. This way you can always go back to where you were when you first started and then do it all over again to your liking. Have fun.
I too wanted to get rid of the bloatware. By putting on a ROM like Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4) on my phone I don't feel the need to upgrade. The developer activity is very good on this phone so the performance of the roms is great.

LGOV MMS Issues

I understand that there are many other threads out there, and that many people have been having issues like this before, but I needed some quick help to get some things settled, and maybe give some Optimus V owners out there a repository of links for where to go for their issues.
Like many OV users, I had the TWS bug with the stock rom. So, I backed everything up and started flashing ROMs to see which ones I liked. All of them have been working well, up until recently. I had some issues with MMS, sending and/or receiving pictures, so I checked to see if there were any fixes. Threw on a flashable APN fixer, but I don't know if I screwed things up worse or not. At this point, I have Harmonia 2.09 (latest update as of 8/23/2012) running on the phone, with the ability to receive pictures through MMS, but can't send out pictures through MMS. Is there a way I can manually edit the APN in the phone to make it work, or a call I can make to Virgin Mobile USA to have them send a fresh APN to the phone, or something I can flash via CWM to fix it? I'm trying to be thorough, so let me know if there's anything the smart people of this android community can throw my way. Much obliged for any help I can get

[Q] looking for s5 apps

ive done some searching, i am on the stock 4.4.2 I545VRUFNC2_4_17_14.zip Full Stock rom, i am mdk, i was on hyperdrive 17.1 but i had alot of problems out of it, i kept having to reflash cause i would get alot of random reboots, expecially when listening to music over my bluetooth, and my phone app would keep crashing, the only way i could make calls is if the number was in my contacts, and that didnt work all the time, so i got frustrated and went to this stock rom, i was looking around and found some in the international thread, but i messed something up with one of those and had to reflash the rom, i was getting force closes i cant remember what for, anyway, i would like to get the s5 messaging, phone and contacts, accuweather widget, email, and calender and i liked how in the pull down bar you could read the message, but i dont know if that is in with any of those apps i mentioned, so whatever that is, any help would be appreciated,
or if anyone would know why hyperdrive was doing that and could help me fix that problem that would be great, i liked how the s5 apps worked, i got used to them.
thanks.

Droid DNA SMS Problems When Using AOSP ROM

This has been an ongoing problem I'd say since KitKat ROMs released for me anyway. I've seen other people post about it but it's kind of sporadic as far as who it's happening to because the majority of people don't seem to have this issue. When using an AOSP based ROM no matter what I've used (currently ParanoidAnroid, in the past LiquidSmooth, CM, and a few others) my SMS capabilities are very hindered. I can send one, maybe two texts and then it will just not send anymore until I reboot the phone. Incoming text still come in just fine. It's just when I text to someone it will sit there sending for about 30 seconds follow by "Unable to send". I tried some of the workarounds people suggested in specific ROM threads that they thought might fix it to no avail (using 3rd party SMS app, disabling Google Movies). What ends up happening is that I'll have to flash back to a Sense ROM which isn't the end of the world but I really like using the AOSP based ROMs as I can do so much more with those in the means of customization and they just seem more snappy and "familiar" to me, coming from a Galaxy Nexus that I was always tweaking and trying out new ROMs.
Has there been any fixes that people have found for this issue? As I said right now I'm running ParanoidAndroid, the latest build with PA GAPPs and I'm afraid I'm going to have to go back to a Sense app once again. I waited a couple months before flashing any more AOSP based ROMs thinking with all the updates that get done to some of these ROMs maybe whatever was causing this to happen would be magically fixed in newer versions of the ROMS. Any help/tips you could shoot my way I'd be very appreciative!
