Not quite sure what you mean, but is it missing lock screen security you're on about? If so have you double checked that you have a lock screen security setting set up such as knock on, pattern lock or so. If you don't know how to check go to settings, security and lock screen(or so), in there make sure you have one checked.

[Q] Disable Swipe lock when Pattern lock is enabled?

I hope I am not double posting somewhere, but I recently enabled the pattern lock but it seems as though the swipe lock is still activated. I can't seem to find an option to turn it off. It is rather annoying to have to unlock the phone twice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is your phone stock? Mine is stock and when I went from swipe to pattern, it automatically canceled the finger swipe option. My only guess would be to try to turn all security locks off, then just enable the one you want.
Go back to security settings, it will ask you to swipe or enter your code, after you do that you should be at the settings screen and the top option is "none". That should turn all the security locks off for you.

Thank you for the response. A few things. The phone is stock. When I go from disabling the "security lock" to enabling it, the swipe lock is still there.
Any more help or things to try would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know then. If rebooting doesn't fix it, the phone might need the factory reset which I don't know exactly how to do. You can do a search for it. I would probably take it back to att and get an exchange since your still in the first 30 days and get a new one.

I don't think he means the finger print swipe lock. If I have the pattern lock on my atrix, after I unlock it, I still have the standard swipe right to unlock the phone.
Edit: sorry, happens the other way. Swipe right, then goes to pattern unlock.

Correct, when i enable the pattern lock, i still have to use the swipe lock to unlock then phone and then unlock the pattern lock to use to phone. This is rather quite annoying.
Ahh thanks for clearing that. Totally misunderstood that, yeah mine works as you guys described. Hopefully they will change that with a patch.

[Q] Dual lockscreens

How can I disable the first lockscreen? by this I mean, if I use pin or pattern or password lock, they appear after the first lock screen with the slide to open. I would like when I bring the phone from standby to go straight to the unlock (pin or password) screen rather then first screen which I need to slide to open then the locked screen where I need to input pin or password.

Tasker Keyguard on off feature doesn't work well

As the title says that tasker Keyguard on off doesn't work well
I rooted my phone for this but can't get it to work satisfactorily.
I don't know many other features like WiFi on.
WiFi automatically turns off after 5 mins, nothing special done..just followed tutorials on tasker Wiki
Tried with secure settings.!.that doesn't works well too
Rooted phone for this please help..

Whats your issue? I have tasker putting pin code on when im not connected to home wifi or car bluetooth. You dont need root to do this.

I don't know. I tried to use that feature unrooted..couldn't get it to work fine
I thought with root Itll work fine..
But can't get it to run..sometimes it gets unlock..some times it doesn't..
And when I open anything from notification it asks for password..when I press home it asks for password..there is something fishy..
Sometimes I enter my old password by mistake it gets unlocked then also

Same here, I didnĀ“t have much chance to troubleshoot, but mine is funky too. Used to have problems in my previous phone too (Motorola Defy).
To take pin security off, do not use keyguard, but choose password/pin and then disable.

Is this setup with "Secure Settings" APP? how do you configure it when you want the Pin to be enabled?
I did it with profile
Pin-Enabled.
->Moble network->2G,3G, 3G HSPA(
->Pin Enabled ( Secure settings App)
Pin-Disabled
Profile->Network->Wifi connected- ( my SSIS) ->Pin Disalbed/Clea pin ( secure settings app)
Is this moste efficant way to do it or am i doing it way to comlicated?

Yes its with secure settings plugin.
See screen shot of my task if that helps.

Can the Pin not be temporarily disabled with the Keyguard command?
The secure settings plugin permanently removes the PIN, this is bad for me because it means that if i turn my phone off whilst the PIN is off then it won't request it at startup. I can make a secondary profile to always set a PIN at boot but this takes about 10 seconds to take effect which is too long.
I basically want to be able to toggle the PIN on and off but not remove it so it's always there at boot

[Q] Prevent lock code?

Hi, is there a way to remove the pin lock option from the settings before I give my sons a phone, I'm happy for them to use a pattern lock?
incorrect pin doesn't give the same option to reset as pattern.
Thanks

you would have to edit settings.apk. you can block the settings app using another app that can password protect apps. if they have pattern unlock set up then just dont bother with pin lock?

thanks, editing the APK is beyond me, I tried an app a year or so ago, can't remember what it was but didn't work as well as I'd hoped, I was hoping there was a new, elegant solution

finger print unlock become swipe unlock?

I set finger print unlock on edge but somehow, when I unlock the phone it always ask for swipe to unlock instead. Maybe 1 out of 10 or 20 unlock it will ask for a finger print.
Anyone else have this problem! Or know what's going on?

You probably have smart lock enabled. Did you set up an android wear device or other bluetooth device and say yes on the notification for smart lock? Or maybe you set a trusted place?
Whenever I'm connected to my moto 360, I get swipe unlock instead of fingerprint, because screen lock is disabled by Smart Lock.

When I wake the phone to lock screen,I have to swipe the screen to unlock, THEN it asks for the fingerprint, how can I bypass the swipe to allow it to unlock with just the fingerprint?

I've got the same issue. None of the above suggestions helped. Did you get this figured out?
---------- Post added at 09:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:25 AM ----------
Nevermind, I was able to get it by removing all my Trusted Devices. Had like 5 things in there. Tried removing one at a time but it only worked when I removed all of them.
Thanks for the info. I was having the same problem with my S6 but seems to be doing what I want now!!!!!
i am having the same issue..
the fingerprint works fine but when i swipe up it shows me an option to use fingerprint or pattern..
in this screen my fingerprint doesnt work and i have open using the pattern only..
any help guys ??
Another possible solution is to uninstall the "Start" app.
How to uninstall smart lock completely
