Create vcard - Sprint LG G3

Is it possible to export a vCard from the LG G3?

You mean transfer contacts? Yes.
Sent from my LG G3 via Tapatalk Pro

Well yes and no. Most stock contact manager will allow you to export vCard. Our app only sends text.
You can from the setting menu create a vCard to the sdcard or phone storage. Big oversight for those of us who like to share contacts.

[Q] deleting contacts

Hi
I bought a new xperia mini pro mobile and was wondering how can i transfer all my contacts from my old mobile to new one.
All contacts was saved in my old phone and not in sim. I tried to send all the contacts via bluetooth and it worked, but in the middle it stopped and only half of the contacts was transferred, i tried once again sending it but it was unsuccessful. I also tried to delete all the contacts in mini pro but i'm unable to do it. Searched in net how to delete the contacts and it referred me to go to settings, application, manage application and clear contacts, but there is no such option available as clear contacts under manage application.
Your suggestions and ideas will be really helpful for me. Thanks
You don't mention which os version you're on. On my X10a w/ 2.1 when I go into the phonebook I can press the menu button for the delete contacts and mark all for deletion. I think on the 1.6 version a long press on the contact will also bring up the submenu to delete.
Sony has a Sync app which may be on your phone. The web portion which you can use with a pc has instructions on how to configure and upload from your old phone and you could then tell the app on your mini to overwrite your contacts, after editing them if needed.
Also if your old phone supports vcf format and saves of all the contacts then you could put the file on your phone's SD card and import that.

Transfering contacts from backup assistant to google

I'm trying to transfer my backup assistant contacts to my google contacts for my phone. Is this even possible? and if so, how does one go about doing this? I'm tired of having 3-5 numbers for each contact and would like to just have it all on google since a lot of roms are cutting out backup assistant.
You can do this:
- Go into contacts on your phone
- Hit menu > Import/Export > Export to SD card
This will create a .vcf file that you can import into your gmail contacts. (I did this step on my computer.)
There may be other, possibly easier methods, but this is how I've done it in the past.

Do just this^^^ it's the easiest way to save contacts and be able to get them back regardless of which rom your going to

I actually had to do the same thing recently and the way I did it was to log in to Verizon and used backup assistant to export a file with my contacts. Then I logged in to my gmail and imported them to my contacts in gmail. Then when I flashed CM7, all I had to do was sync and they were all there.

I wish I could do it this easily, but I have multiple duplicates that I want to get rid of. I guess I could just do it in google contacts. Also, for some reason the .vcf file wouldn't work for me, but the .csv file from backup assistant worked.

I did this by slowly going through all my contacts and deleting the copies and then importing it to google contacts.
Thanks for both of your guy's help! It's much appreciated!
I did the same thing. Went through and un-linked them, combined numbers under one contact where I needed to, etc. it wasn't fun but I only had to do it once. Life is much easier with out having some contacts on the phone and some online.

You can backup your numbers via Kies. I guess that's the only useful function of the program.

Use Youlu, Hide your gmail contact, only display the contacts on your phone. I hope you are able to do this and then back up the contacts on your phone to Youlu.
I am using it the same way
easiest way of doing this is, open contacts > go to the options> click on Import/export > Export your contacts to Sdcard > then save the vcf file to a save location like your pc or back it up on mail
Why not transfer to SIM?

[Q] Backup for upcoming ICS

Hi all,
As ICS is fast approaching, I want to prepare for it without losing all my contacts.
If I have done Backup & Restore from using PC Companion, am I safe with all my contacts and apps?
The most important is I want my contacts back and untouched, when I got my XS, I manually transferred all my contacts to it.
I just wanted to be clear if I'm safe or not and do I need a third party app.
Cheers!
Copy your contacts from your phone to your sim memory and you are OK

Or export to external memory and done.
I've exported it to my Sim card but there wasn't enough space for all my contacts. So I exported to my internal storage. Will that work?
cheers.
Use "Wondershare MobileGo" to back up contact and sms or software you want

Yeah. Make sure you don't wipe media storage before / during / after the ICS install. After it was installed, choose import from internal storage. Wait a little and it's ready

The best way is to use Google Sync! Simply export your contacts to your gmail and then you can import them whenever you want!
Enjoy!
+1 for Google Sync, if you loose your phone you dont loose your contacts.
But always have a local backup. It's good. Use the export feature, plus Pc Companion

[Q] Manage phone contacts on PC

Hi All,
I am trying to find a solution to managing my phone contact on my windows PC. I find that HTC sync manager which is provided by HTC does not have this function. Any idea, what is the best way to manage (add pic, merge, delete, add) my phone contacts from my PC.
The contact list is large so I find it difficult to edit all in phone itself. Any help would be appreciated.
Just use a Google account. It's the easiest way...
