New and need help?? JB 4.1.1 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone. I haven't been in the loop with Android developing in a while but I find myself forced to modify a phone once again. I recently purchased a used S3..Cintacted the carrier (Sprint) before i bought it. Had the ESN checked, was told it was good to go. After about 6 hours of trying to get it activated, online chat, customer service phone call, and In-store, i was finally told that the phone was junk and the network wouldn't recognize it. I'm now tryin to change theMEID info so it can be used again. I've never done this before but have found a couple how-to articles. I'm in need of the ODIN rom file JB 4.1.1 and the G2 radio. If anyone has these I'd love to get them from you. I spent a good 5 hours trying to find goodd downloads with no success. Please Message or email me at [email protected] g mail. Thanks in advance!!

ZTE Warp (Was Boost) then after reset is now cricket

I am having problems with zte warp phone. my cousin bought it 6 months ago from a boost store (in our inner city in upstate NY). He tried to activate it and was told it was involved in an insurance claim and would take up to 30 days to be cleared. My cousin put it aside for a month then decided to flash a rom and recovery and ended up bricking the phone. Someone he met at work offered to fix it so he paid him 40 bucks and the guy at work gave him back a working phone. He never activated it since he waited all that time he ended up buying a galaxy s2. well last week he gave it to his father to replace a broken non android phone. Boost would not activate it due to its now running cricket software. If you dial 211 or 611 it goes to cricket. HERE IS where it gets goofy. He gave me the phone a few days ago to see if I can find a file to flash it back to Boost. So far I have not found anything. Tonight I heard a strange ringtone and the warp was ringing. I missed the call. I then tried calling my cousin from it and received a fast busy signal. I then added our area code 585 then his number and the call went through. BUT someone else answered. I asked him what his number was and he told me to F myself I called him. this was not my cousin. Under system info it lists a phone number on the phone but when I called it a woman in Florida answered and said she has had her phone number 10 years.
I am lost over this. Im guessing somewhere along the way this was cloned possibly?
Any way I am trying to convert this back to boost. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The boost account is already paid for and set up but they said they can not allow us to program the phone while it has "Cricket firmware" on it.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

[Q] Help- Sam Cap sudden lock

New to forum and not quite a noob at phones but close.
Samsung Galaxy Captivate Glide SGH-I927R GSM bought unlocked of Ebay from everydayhotdeals. Phone worked flawlessly on Straight Talk (ST), switched to ATT in Jan thru March and back to ST with no issues. Couple days ago I phone wanted me to "Enter Network Control Key Code". I don't have one and can't seem to get one. Ebay seller seems to be out of business on Ebay although a search I can still send him email which I did twice and no reply.
Andriod 2.3.5. Boots up with Rogers flash screen before the Galaxy screen.
unlockthatphone, com failed to get a code after 24 hours of trying. ATT said it's not a phone they ever had control over (no ATT logo on phone) so they cannot get me a code.
I have tried two ST SIMMs and an ATT SIMM with same message.
I am hesitant to go rooted and hacking but will do so if that's my only option other than having a new paperweight.
I am sure I forgot some detail so please ask away. I tried to be concise but thorough.

[Q] MSL Code

I bought my Sprint Evo from a friend. and I am trying to transfer it to my Straight Talk account. Straight Talk now offers a Bring your own phone service. I verified my phone could be transferred, it could, and has been. My number, minutes, everything have been transferred to the EVO. Problem is everytime I try to activate the actual phone I am prompted for a 6 digit passcode, which I have discovered is also known as the MSL. I am not tech savy and have been online for two days looking for anyway to get this code. I have called Sprint. They will not give me the code. I have called several times hoping that a different person would possibly give it to me. Nope. And all the online videos, help, etc, say to download this app, that app, but the phone is not active so I can not download anything. Is anyone willing to help me figure this out, step by step? Like I said, I have no idea what all this tech stuff is or if my phone is rooted? I am tech stupid. Thank you to anyone who even took the time to read this long masterpiece. :crying::crying::crying:
Get MSL reader from the playstore
On a sidenote questions should be in the Q&A section

[Q] Failed to install OTA package.

Hi guys I'm new here so please be patient.
I received the phone as a present from my friend and I was pretty satisfied with the fast performance although I am definitively lacking tech knowledge about phones. As far as I am aware it was brought over ebay from Honk Kong, everything seems good apart from when there's an update it says something... abort it reboots and a message appears ota package failed to install. I did some reading and this forum was recommended however I get lost with the slang and tech talk here therefore if there is anyone who would like to help me as if they were explaining this to a kid I would be grateful. I called UK lenovo helpline and they refused to help me as my phone has overseas warranty and was not purchased in UK. I asked people on lenovo facebook official site and send a email question to lenovo as well but still no answer. I have handed in my phone to high street phone help service but they've charged me 30 pounds but did not do anything. As far as I am aware previous updates were fine then issue accrued, I did factory restart but it did not solve the issue.
Can you help a blondie ? x

Google System Update broke my Kyocera Brigadier

Verizon pushed out Google System Update to my phone several days ago. After a couple of hours phone rebooted and then hung at the Kyocera logo. Every 2 minutes it just buzzes. I've tried to turn it off and on but it does not respond. I went to Verizon and after looking at it they said I need a new phone. They won't replace it. I've had this phone for 5 months.
Is there anything that could be done to fix this?
thanks

Can anyone tell me if there is any way to restore this phone?
Same story here, nearly word for word. See my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/bootlooping-lollipop-update-t3356756
I sent my phone to the Kyocera Repair Center in El Paso, Texas. They've had it for a couple of weeks now, no word on if they can repair it, or how much it will cost exactly. Their website has a pricing schedule that suggests it will be a reasonable fee, if they can do it. Here's the webpage to get the info you need to send it in, if you choose to go that route: https://www.kyoceramobile.com/support/repairs/united-states/faq/
thanks for taking the time to reply. If you don't mind, let me know if they fixit. I have a two year contract on that phone. Paying for nothing
