Im looking for a transparent case like the spigen ultra hybrid
The only thing I dont like about that case is the antena cutout.
Do you think this cheap one will protect the phone any good compared to the spigen?

I have the supcase and love it. Fit is perfect and it looks and feels great. Highly recommend this one.

I have the Supcase Beetle. It doesn't make the phone much bigger and it does not block wireless charging. This us the first phone I have had with wireless charging and I love it.

I got this Ballistic Clear Case.
I also have the supcase. It's translucent, not transparent, if that matters to you. You don't really see the full beauty of the phone through it, but you do kind of see through to the back.
Wireless charging works fine with it.

I've got the Supcase as well (I have the white phone and got the grey/clear case). So far, I like it a lot. Wireless charging works through it, just barely; it's almost too thick, so you have to be careful how you position your phone to avoid the "slow charge" warning.
The only issue I have with it is the weight; it's heavy enough that my Infinniapps magnetic car mount doesn't work with it. I could have moved the magnet to between the case and phone and it probably would have been fine, but then the plate would have blocked NFC or Qi. I just went and bought a different mount unit instead with clamps instead of magnets (this one) - the reason I went with magnets was because of the clamps hitting the buttons on the sides, and since the G3 doesn't have those it should be fine.

I have one right now... but it's a cheap one from Ebay. When I first bought it, it fit real nice and tight but now over a month or two it's getting loose and slides around a bit.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for the following:
1. It doesn't expose the metal part of the camera on the back cover.
2. Fits snug on the phone indefinitely (is this possible?).
... and if possible one that isn't really sticky.

hi, i have a clear one of these, think i would buy the grey next time. its also a cheap ebay item. its very snug, not as flexible (which makes removal a bit of an effort) and nowhere near as sticky as some silicon cases.

Yeah i bought one of those that bl1nky recommended. The only thing i can say is that the fit around the bezel edge is not as good as other 'softer' silicon covers.
In my case particularly, the right hand edge is badly formed and seems to pull away from the HD bezel.
In addition i find that locating and using the power switch to be troublesome and it's this that i find most annoying.
My personal quest for the perfect case continues....

good choice. its the best case IMO. the grey one is almoste invisible. really thin and it protect greatly the phone.

They look the same from what I can tell in the pictures... but you never know on Ebay it could be a cheaper knock-off of the original. I don't know because I haven't purchased the one from Ebay. I will be getting mine today or tomorrow from Boxwave and I'll take some pics of it and stuff and update here.
Is it the non-transparent one with small camera hole? (I'm in the boarding shcool where ebay is locked) If so, it's good, but rather thick, good for protection, but will make your HD thicker (around 16mm). If not, just remove this post.

Ok so I got the case and have been using it for two days now. It is pretty damn nice actually. It fits well, not too tight and not too loose either. It's not sticky like the cheap Ebay one I have so I can easily slide it in and out of my pocket. I got the smoke color. It's clear and shiny so it suits the HD well. I like being able to see the phone through the case as well.

i got the silicon case from ebay and its not a tight fit.come off very easily. am now on the hunt for another case. there is a case for the iphone which is a plastic case but a rubberised finish.

It depends on how thick the case is. Most of the thin cases, it will still work I've found. But if it's partially covering the USB port, or if it's thick on the back it won't work.

i have the note 2 media dock. most cases will fit to charge but it wont go into dock mode. the case prevents it from going down far enough.

I've tried 2 cases with this dock and none have worked. The Neo Hybrid and the Case Mate Tough case. As mentioned before, the Neo case won't fit at all, the Case Mate case will charge but not dock. I did however shave a bit of the rubber off of the bottom of the Case Mate case and it seems to have worked so far. Not saying all should go try it because it seriously looks like a dog got a hold of it and chewed on it for a bit.
If anyone knows of a good protective case that's not a folio case that will fit the dock, let us know!

Hi guys.
I currently have a case from mobile fun that has s-view and qi charging. it is good but the screen is scratched and has seemingly made scuff marks on the phone screen also. at least i have a screen protector on.
i dont really utilise the benefits of the s view like music from the home screen etc and as soon as it moves slighlty off centre the full screen shows below so i lose the s view screen.
so, i want a case, not just a replacement back that has qi charging but not a flip cover/s view.
do they do them and are there any recommenations?

For the case you're looking for, I don't think so. Most people on here are using Qi insert receivers. Mine works fine. Use what ever case you want.

It's it easy to use a qi insert? Which is a good one, i read a lot about over heading with them.

This thread has a lot of info... a lot.
I never tried that case, I use an insert with the Spigen Neo hybrid... works well... The insert is ineffective 5mm away from the charge pad. 1mm is taken from the insert and the backcover of the pphone... that leaves you with 4mm. Your case needs to be less than 4mm thick. I think the slim armour meets this.

I actually bought this case. It is really high quality, but I don't like the wallet on the back, or the fact that it doesn't cover the top or bottom of the phone. The manufacturer said not to remove the wallet flap because there are glue marks.

I'll be getting this case but the clear version, as I got the Xperia Z3 in mint silver on 02 and it looks so nice!

I noticed a commenter on the review mentioned how much he disliked cases without symmetry...I feel like I might be the same way, but I'm not sure and would really like a case that could work with the dock. So do you feel like it's not really a big deal? Still comfortable to hold on to? Should I just get over it and get the case? Haha

Aye I really don't think it's a big deal. It's slim enough and it's black so doesn't really stand out as a distraction.
I bought a charging dock, and the case, and they should both be here by Tuesday.
I received the Nillkin today and unfortunately the Magnector X charging cable does not fit. I managed to trim a little bit on the sides though and now it works! Good to know before you order

I actually prefer without the case! Phone feels amazing metal and glass but a case just takes away that feel

I like to feel the glass back as well and didn't want to put a case. I am using a bumper to cover the sides to offer some grip

No, not the cable of course! I trimmed a little bit of the case where the lower part of the magnetic connector touches. You will see it when you receive both the case and the case.
Can anyone verify that the MagnectorX magnetic cable will fit alright with the Case Mate? I just ordered it up as it doesn't fit with my current case. It looks like it will be good to go, but just want to be sure.
It's all open side that end on the Barely There so yeah shouldn't be a problem.
The MagnectorX connector adapter will fit with the Case Mate Barely There, but it is not a completely secure connection. It will charge fine, but moving the phone while it is connected could dislodge it. The angle of the connector is very steep and leaves the cord very close to the case. On this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/accessories/magtrons-magnector-x202-cable-adapter-t2919541 it appears that the Magnector cable has more clearance. From those pics, it will fit with the case with trouble. The Barely There case works fine with the Z2 dock DK36, however. I purchased that dock since the price was lower than the dock for the Z3.
I also have a Sony XSP-N1BT receiver in my car (basically a dock which turns the phone into the face plate of the receiver and it has the magnetic pins to charge the Xperia phones) and with a little bit of fiddling, the phone will charge with the Barely There.
like the barely there case because of its slim design. but still would prefer a case that covers all the edge as well. maybe the casemate slim tough will be more suitable?
Since barely there is hard plastic, will it cause scratches to the phone eventually?
is The clear's finish is it the same as the black?
